Screen Resolution 1440 x 900

I have a MS-6533E Motherboard (I think it is also known as 6533XG.
I am using the onboard video and cannot get the resolution of 1440 x 900 to display with my acer monitor AL1916W.
I have updated to latest video drivers but still no luck.
Can anyone please assist?
Thanks

Hi this is usually caused when the display drivers are not installed correctly. Firstly you could try updating your monitor drivers, as this defines what resolution your monitors supports etc.

  • Resolution 1440 x 900 for Windows applications?

    I am attempting to use MacBook Pro (15") to run Windows applications. Some of these are written for a screen resolution of 1280 x 1050, but the max available on the MBP is seemingly 1440 x 900. Is there any way around this, short of buying an external monitor or the 17" MBP?

    I was thinking of a solution along the lines of, maybe the device handlers could reduce the Windows app image to the lower native resolution, which could then be displayed.

  • Satellite M110 - question on Screen resolution 1600 x 900

    Hi experts, hoping you can help me out.
    Just bought an external screen which needs 1600 x 900 screen resolution,.... trouble is my display settings don't have that option.
    If I "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" I can only choose 800x600 or 1024x768
    If I uncheck this box "hide...display", the nearest I can choose are 1280x1024 or 1600x1200
    Where is the 1600 x 900 option??? everything on the external screen is sttrreettched out.....
    I have
    - Satellite M110 PSMB0A
    - Windows XP
    - Display adapter says "Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family"
    - I've downloaded the latest driver, (at least I think I did!) and my driver version is 6.14.10.4543 dated 23/03/06
    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi
    There are two reasons why a favorite resolution is not available.
    1) the graphic card driver does not support such resolution
    2) or/and the graphic card doesnt support it too.
    In the user manual of Satellite M110 you should find a info (somewhere at the end of user manual) what resolutions are supported and available.
    If the graphic card would support such resolution then this would mean that your installed driver is the reason why you cannot choose this resolution.
    In such case its advisable to update the driver and to use the one from the Intel page.
    The graphic chip is Intel one and therefore the driver from Intel page should work.
    In some cases you would be not able to install the driver executing the setup.exe.
    In such case you have to go to the device manger and have to use the advanced installation procedure. Then you could point to the driver package which you have downloaded previously from Intel page.

  • Upgrade X201 Laptop Screen to 1440 x 900

    I have an X201 Laptop with 1280 x 800 screen. From what I've read here, it sounds like it may be possible to upgrade it to a 1440 x 900 screen. But the more I read about attempting that upgrade, the more confused I get.
    I don't want to go to a newer laptop because I don't want to go to a 16x9 screen. This is probably the best and fastest 12" 16x10 laptop I'll ever have (620M, i7/2.66GHz), and I want to continue using for at least a few years to come.
    So, what do I need to know about upgrading it to 1440 x 900?

    The Hardware Maintenance Manual would be a good place to start:
    http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles_pdf/43Y6632_09.pdf
    Something to watch out for is whether your current setup has CCFL or LED, and whether the target panel is CCFL is LED.

    Hi there.
    I have a 15" Macbook Pro and wish to use the Apple remote desktop to control my 2009 Mac Pro remotely. However I can't figure out a proper resolution -- 1440x900 in the remote desktop... This resolution is not supported either when I work on the Mac Pro itself.
    Suggestions are appreciated.

  • Blue line running through screen (T400 1440 x 900)

    Hey guys,
    So  my monitor has this blue line running straight through my monitor vertically. When I first got it, if I tapped my monitor on the side a bit, it would go away but then the line was permanent! I thought my screen was busted and started looking into a replacement screen. Now, suddenly, as I type the line flickers and it will go away so the monitor will be normal. But after some more typing the line will reappear. Now Im thinking the vibrations are affecting some sort of connection to the screen and the screen may not be bad. What do you guys think? Is it the monitor or a connection? If its a connection, what connection would it be?
    Thanks,
    John
    P.S.
    I took a picture of the screen right here. You guys can see the line that runs straight up and down in the middle of the picture

    that is usually the problem with cable connection between motherboard or the LCD itself.
    Also, try to connect to an external LCD, to see whether this problem comes up.

  • Screen resolution yet again

    Although this forum has taught me a lot about screen
    resolutions, view ports
    etc. I am still struggling.
    I am on a broadscreen laptop with screen resolution 1440 x
    900 - at the moment
    perhaps uncommon, but possibly gaining popularity.
    I have a relativeley positioned div containing an absoluteley
    positioned div,
    that has an image in it, all in a table with fixed width.
    The image in the absolute pos. div shifts as I change the
    view port. Why is
    that? I would expect it to always sit the specified px's away
    from the
    container div.

    , I am talking about the two pictures
    in the entry 'Vanuit de verte', at the moment at the top of

    Sorry to have to ask about this yet again. I read Nadia's
    article several times
    and thought I understood, but obviously don't.

    Anyhow, you need a) to validate the page, and b) to put a
    valid and complete
    doctype on it so that you get out of quirks mode.
    </tr>
    <tr>
    <td bgcolor="#ffffff"><table width="770">
    <tr>
    <td valign="top" bgcolor="#ffffff"><div
    id="entryview">
    This is clearly invalid code, as is this -
    </tr>
    </tr>
    Also, you have HTML in your CSS files (there should only be
    CSS in CSS
    files) -
    <style type="text/css">
    I see what you are experiencing, and my experience tells me
    that something
    on the page is working in ways that you don't expect.
    Personally, I
    wouldn't use a table-based layout at all, but I realize you
    are already
    committed to it. Also, try adding borders to this rule -
    .gallerycontainer{
    position: relative;
    /*Add a height attribute and set to largest image's height to
    prevent
    overlaying*/
    and you'll see that it's not being expressed at all. That's
    likely the
    source of your problem.

  • NX6600 VTD128E Diamond Edition does it support 1440 x 900 resolution

    Hi everybody
    This is my first posting to this forum. I soon have all the parts together to build my new rig. The only thing missing is the monitor. I am very interested in the ViewSonic VA1912w which is a 19" LCD Wide Screen Monitor with the resolution 1440 x 900. To get the full performance the Graphic card should be able to support this resolution.  Thanks for your advice.

    the graphic card should be able to do it, just make sure you install the monitor driver, which will either be on a disk included with it, or you may have to download it from the manufacturer's website, or through Windows Update

  • Display screen resolution

    Hello
    I have a 2008  MacBook Pro. Over the last couple of weeks the display resolution has been changing to grainy with no seeming factor stimulating the change. I will be away from the computer and can come back to a blurred screen. The change can last anywhere from minutes to days, then it will change back to clear (resolution 1440 x 900), only to switch to blurred (also 1440 x 900) in a few days again...! Also, sometimes, the display will have green/ purplish hue that will flicker for a couple of minutes leaving the screen blurred.
    I have tried changing resolutions, colour calibrating, run hardware diagnostics but nothing works.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Hema

    When a window has the focus, press Alt + spacebar to open the control menu at the upper left. Then press M (for Move). That will enable you to use the arrow keys to move it. Press Enter to leave this mode.

  • How Can I have the MB display (1280X800) and a  1440 x 900 ext not in miror

    How Can I have the MB display (1280X800) and a 1440 x 900 ext not in miror mode ???
    I have a Lenovo external display :
    H19-inch (483-mm) viewable image size
    Optimum resolution: 1440 x 900
    Tilt stand for viewing comfort adjustments
    16 x 10 aspect ratio
    Analog attachment

    I just bought a wide screen display that also uses 1440 X900 resolution. In mirror mode mine also only allows a maximum of 1280 X ???. I think may be a limitation of the GMA 950 graphics chip set. I never use it in mirrow mode so it doesn't bother me. I prefer extended mode. That way I can keep more windows open and visible.
    I use the question mars because on mine I can use 1280 X any of the resolutions that go with it.

  • What is the proper screen resolution for my MBA?

    Is the default settings on my 2012 MBA the best setting for the screen on the computer?

    Since the native resolution of the built-in screen is 1440 x 900, this setting will yeild the best sharpness, as no resizing or interpolation of pixels is needed.

  • Flash development and the 1366 x 768 screen resolution

    Has anyone tried to run Flash Pro [or, more importantly, the entire Web Premium Creative Suite] on a laptop with 1366 x 768 screen resolution?  Yes, I am aware that the specs for the software say that 1280 x 800 is minimum.  What I'm trying to figure out is whether this is an outdated spec from before the 1366 x 768 screen size became basically the only thing you could get in a 14" or 15" laptop or whether there is actually something desperately important about those last 32 pixels that will cause the software to function improperly.  I want a laptop that I can use to work on projects so I don't have to work at my desk all the time, and I need to know if I can get an off the shelf laptop for a reasonable price, with specs that meet or exceed the requirements of the software, aside from screen res, or whether I must get a higher end laptop with the full 1080 vertical.
    Thanks!

    For future reference, and so some poor soul in the future doesn't have the same issue getting an answer that I did: Flash Professional seems to work fine at 1366 x 768.  It is a teeny bit cramped, though it would be at 1280 x  800 as well.  I don't think I would ever want to ONLY use that size, but for the sake of not losing momentum on projects when I travel, it should be fine.
    I finally realized that the easiest way to test this was to simply shift my desktop monitor from its native resolution [1440 x 900] to 1366 x 768 and trying to use the software for a while.  Not sure why it took me so long to figure that out, but there it is.

  • Full Screen Resolution gone with 10.5.2 update

    Hi there,
    I´m using a MBP (latest) with a NEC Spectraview 2690. Plugged in using 10.5.1 - running 1920 x 1200 / 60 Hz via DVI. Fine.
    After update to 10.5.2 the highest resolution 1440 x 900 and "Standard LCD".
    What´s wrong?

    Same Problem here. MBP with 10.5.2, after graphics card update, External Acer 22'' sometimes will not go to it's highest resolution. After a restart, sometimes it will, sometimes not. Very strange!

  • 13" Cannot set screen resolution in Windows 7 to 1440 by 900

    Just finished installing BootCamp with Windows 7 Pro. For some reason the screen resolution in Windows display driver only goes up to 1200 not 1440 x 900. On MacOS it is obviously working fine. Any ideas?

    On my MacBook Air 11 with Windows 7 64 bit I experience an even worse situation: when ever trying to install a NVidia driver (also when following the mentioned instructions) the setup executable reports - after a check of system compatibility - that no compatible graphic hardware (=320m) could be found. Luckily at least MacOS X is aware of a NVidia 320m installed.
    Any Idea? Thanks

  • Increasing screen resolution beyond 1440 x 900

    Hello, is there a way to increase the screen resolution beyond 1440 x 900? The result I'm hoping for is one I can accomplish in Windows in that it creates a sort of virtual screen that becomes viewable when one moves the mouse pointer to that which is off-screen, thus bringing it on screen.
    The entire desktop would shift to display only that 1440 x 900 of the, say, 1920 x 1200. I don't know what this is technically termed and I hope I've explained it well enough. Thanks!
