Screensaver picture slide show?

is there a way to view pictures while the screensaver is running, such as arrow keys like the windows system allows. This is a real nice feature to look at pictures again after they've appeared?
Sorry if this is a repost but my search did not find anything related.....

i haven't played with front row much at all, i will look into it thanks. is there a way to set this as the automatic screensaver? I already have the photo album set up as this.....just sometimes would be nice to review a picture before is disappears or after if you know what i mean.

  • How can I run a picture slide show continuously on my playbook?

    I would like to run a picture slide show on a continuous loop but I cannot find any settings to accomplish that.  Does anyone know how or if I can do that?
    Thank you.

    Hi BERVEN,
    You state that you are very disappointed because you have not been given a solution. Well, don't be disappointed with your new BBPB because it can indeed do what you want and  I have the solution for you right here.
    STEP 1: TAP the PICTURES APP (on the homescreen) quick-like with your finger.
    ----  Immediately, all the ALBUMS containing all your photos show on the screen.
    ---- You will have saved your photos here, grouped by date or subject or other sort order, depending on how your photos were grouped together on your PC or MAC before you transferred them.
    STEP 2: TAP one of your "ALBUMS"
    -----------  Pictures are stored in albums, which is sensible.
    ------------- If they were downloaded from pc "folders", then a "folder" in Windows becomes an "ALBUM" in the BBPB.
    ------------- All the pictures in the album are now visible to you (swipe down to see more if there are many)
    STEP 3: TAP PICTURE #1 in that album. Now you will be given 2 choices:
    ------------ You can "swipe" right to see each individual picture still
    ------------- OR go to Step 4  (and there you will find the answer to your question)
    STEP 4: Touch that first picture
    The result of touching the screen is that the screen pops up the BACK, PLAY, FORWARD on-screen controls you want.
    The 3 MOTION CONTROLS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PICTURE --- ON THE PICTURE ITSELF.  Press the middle control, which is the LARGEST ONE --- and Wow, YOUR SLIDE SHOW IS RUNNING ALL BY ITSELF!
    You can play ALL the pictures in your PlayBook in a slideshow, together, regardless of which albums they are in ---- one big show, if you like.  Let me know if this worked for you, okay?

  • Nivo Picture Slide-Show Problems

    Hi, I have been trying to correctly implement this Nivo Picture Slider into my website for awhile now, so far I have not been able to get it working the way I want it to.
    I uploaded the website I am currently working on to a temporary link so I am able to show anyone willing to help where I am with the page and slider business. The coding for the nivo slider may be sloppier than intended because I tried adding things little by little to see if I could get it to work.
    Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and let me know how I can get this Nivo picture slide show up and running? I'm looking to make it so that the image in the banner area underneath the logo switches to another picture every few seconds.
    As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated.
    http://911contents.com/index.html
    Above is the link to the website so far, ignore the website layout looking wild please, I know what's causing that problem. I just need to get the slide show working.

    I would start by ensuring the links to your javascript files are coded correctly. You have a LOT of scripts all linked as CSS. You can also combine these into far fewer files.
    <link href="jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link href="jquery.nivo.slider.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <!-- You do not need both of these nivoslider scripts -->
    <link href="css/jQuery.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /><!-- You do not need both of these jquery scripts -->
    <link href="css/jQuery.min.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link href="jquery.prettyPhoto.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link href="cufon-yui.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link href="swfobject.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link href="pk_frontend.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <link href="font.js" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    All of the above should start <script type="text/javascript" href="FileLocation.js" />.

  • Picture Slide Show - Macbook Pro with retina display

    Is the Macbook Pro with retina display capable of doing picture slide shows with music, or do I have to purchase additional software?

    The only benefit that the Retina has over the standard MacBook Pro is the display.  It is slightly thinner (and lighter), but with the 13" model, the difference is fairly minimal.  If you're comfortable carrying the Retina, you'd be fine carrying the MB Pro as well.  Also, for all intents and purposes, while the display on the standard MB Pro is not a Retina display, it is still one of the best displays on the market and will easily provide a better image quality than most displays in similarly classed laptops.  Another thing to consider is that both the 13" Retina and standard MBP have only an integrated HD4000 GPU.  This is a fairly low power graphics processor built into the CPU.  It can easily run the display on the standard MB Pro, but it can sometimes struggle with the Retina as there are several times more pixels to drive.
    So...
    13" MacBook Pro Retina:  Fantastic display, slightly thinner/lighter
    13" MacBook Pro: Not at the same level as the Retina, but still an excellent display.  Slightly thicker, but as you said, you get an optical drive as well.  Memory and storage are easily upgradable.  As Kappy mentioned, the get a faster processor as well.

    Hi,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
    When you click the Photo tile on the Home screen, you get to pick from several picture libraries, including the one on your computer. From there, you can browse folders and watch the photos you wish to view.
    To start the slide show, right-click anywhere on the screen and select Slide show near the lower-right corner.
    Once started, you have some control over the slideshow. Pressing the space bar will pause the show. The left and right arrow keys will take you to the last or next picture. To start it again, right-click the screen and click the Slide show icon again.
    Refer here to see how to start a slideshow using windows photo viewer.
    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,

  • How do it change the color of the background in a still photo in a imovie picture slide show

    how do it change the color of the background in a still photo in a imovie picture slide show

    LOL - I had the same problem.  Hidden in plain sight!  All I saw was Numeric, and thought "Duh! Of course it's numeric - it's a slider!"
    I do think NI could do a much better job on this, perhaps with more informative labelling.  Slider Scaling or Scale Format might be better.  Also, since one can select the Digital Display by itself on the front panel, one should be taken directly to the digital display formatting when Properties is selected, instead of still having to change the dropdown. By selecting the digital display instaead of the slider, you're implying that you want to change its format only.

    Generally speaking, something of this nature could and has

  • Lost Picture Slide Show when Moved to iDVD

    Hello all -
    I made a movie in iMovie using family video. I added pictures from iPhoto in the body of the movie. When I used the Media Browser to transfer the project to iDVD so that I could burn DVD's for my family, the photos did not transfer. The edited movie and all the music was fine. Any ideas?
    Many thanks.

    Welcome to Apple discussions.
    You may be trying to do your project the hard way. If I want to share a movie on the Internet I use iMovie 08. If I want to make a DVD, or think I will ever want to make a DVD of a movie I use iMovie 06. (It's just easier.)
    Others have had the same problem with iMovie 08. iMovie 08 is not really designed for DVD burning (yes it can be done with difficulty).
    I use iMovie 06 (with iDVD 08) if I think I will ever put the movie on a DVD.
    It's a free upgrade to iLife 08 owners.

  • Creating picture slide show in imovie hd

    Hi, I am just using imovie for the first time, I am a pc convert from just a few months ago now. I am trying to edit my daughters preschool "end of the year dvd" and so far, I have been able to figure out most probllems since the mac is so user friendly. However, I have noticed that my timeline is not that long (7 minutes), and the "movie" is already a very large file size. (3.89 gb) I already emptied the trash inside of the project, which brought the file size down a little, however, I am wondering how in the world I am going to fit a 30 minute slideshow onto a 4gb dvd??? can someone help please. Also, I had read somewhere that you can make several projects to keep your different chapters organized, and then marry them all together when you are ready to make one large timeline. Can someone explain this?

    iDVD doesn't care about file size and you can fit close to two hours on a single disc.
    Imovie is a "DV" editing app and .dv files are 13 GB's per hour. Combine that with the non-destructive nature of iMovie and you could easily have a 50 to 100 GB Project file that would still fit on a DVD.

  • How do I make a slide show? I want to be able to drop in an entire folder album and not individual pictures?

    I want to make a picture slide show. How do I do it? I would like to drop an entire photo album into a slide show app?? and mke it without
    entering individual pictures.

    There are many ways to produce slide shows using iPhoto, iMovie or iDVD and some limit the number of photos you can use (iDVD has a 99 chapter (slide) limitation).
    If what you want is what I want, namely to be able to use high resolution photos (even 300 dpi tiff files), to pan and zoom individual photos, use a variety of transitions, to add and edit music or commentary, place text exactly where you want it, and to end up with a DVD that looks good on both your Mac and a TV - in other words end up with and end result that does not look like an old fashioned slide show from a projector - you may be interested in how I do it. You don't have to do it my way, but the following may be food for thought!
    Firstly you need proper software to assemble the photos, decide on the duration of each, the transitions you want to use, and how to pan and zoom individual photos where required, and add proper titles. For this I use Photo to Movie. You can read about what it can do on their website:
    http://www.lqgraphics.com/software/phototomovie.php
    (Other users here use the alternative FotoMagico:  http://www.boinx.com/fotomagico/homevspro/ which you may prefer - I have no experience with it.)
    Neither of these are freeware, but are worth the investment if you are going to do a lot of slide shows. Read about them in detail, then decide which one you feel is best suited to your needs.
    Once you have timed and arranged and manipulated the photos to your liking in Photo to Movie, it exports the file to iMovie  as a DV stream. You can add music in Photo to Movie, but I prefer doing this in iMovie where it is easier to edit. You can now further edit the slide show in iMovie just as you would a movie, including adding other video clips, then send it to iDVD 7, or Toast,  for burning.
    You will be pleasantly surprised at how professional the results can be!
    To simply create a slide show in iDVD 7 onwards from images in iPhoto or stored in other places on your hard disk or a connected server, look here:

    In the design mode, on a home page, the slideshow box extends all the way to the top of the footer (how I want it too). However when I preview the same page, the slideshow box bottom slides up a bit and leave about a 50 pixel white space between the btoom of the picture slide show and the footer.
    Any thoughts on how to prevent this?

              height:400px;
              border:1px solid #000;
    Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    It looks like you are trying to combine NivoSlider with LightBox2 - I would doubt very much if this would work! You would need to find a lightbox script that also doubles as a slideshow.
    With that being said, from a user perspective I would hate to have a "gallery" with just a rotating slideshow which I need to click. I would expect to see a gallery of images where I can click each one and enlarge it, and THEN scroll through them one by one if I wanted to. This is exactly what lightbox2 offers - you just need to read their instructions on how to implement it.
    Eg:
    Change this:
    <li><img class="slider" /><a href="Gallery/images/small/pic1.png" rel="lightbox"><img src="Gallery/images/large/Atlantis-Resort-Atlantis-Resort-1.jpg" alt="atlantis"/></a></li>
    To this:
    <li><a href="Gallery/images/large/Atlantis-Resort-Atlantis-Resort-1.jpg" rel="lightbox[Gallery]" title="atlantis"><img src="Gallery/images/small/pic1.png" alt="atlantis"/></a></li>
    You will notice the addition of "title" in the <a> tag - this is where your caption is - not in the ALT. Also, the rel="lightbox[Gallery]" tells the browser to open the image using LightBox but also to show all connected images with [Gallery]. In other words, to show all the images in a gallery in the one pop-up slideshow, add [Gallery] to them all. This allows you to group certain images together.
    Lastly, the image reference inside the <a> tag should be the LARGE image, not the thumbnail. Your <img> src should then be the thumbnail.
    Good luck!
    Rik
    EDIT:// In addition to this, you need to modify your lightbox.js file so it can show the next/prev/close icons. You have obviously moved them from the default location which is in a folder images/.
    function LightboxOptions() {
          this.fileLoadingImage = 'images/loading.gif';
          this.fileCloseImage = 'images/close.png';
    And then again in the lightbox.css file
    /* line 81, ../sass/lightbox.sass */
    .lb-prev:hover {
      background: url(../images/prev.png) left 48% no-repeat;
    /* line 85, ../sass/lightbox.sass */
    .lb-next:hover {
      background: url(../images/next.png) right 48% no-repeat;

  • Slide show widget

    Hi
    I do occassional updating for a rape crisis center. I know a little html and some css and am using CS4. I need to make a three picture slide show quickly and do not do flash. Are there any easy to learn widgets in CS4 or does anyone know a second party widget that I can embed easily?
    Many thanks,
    Nancy

    Oh heck, he's off on a wild goose chase of a widget that does not work in all versions of Dreamweaver.
    Here is what I have been doing for two years:
    Tobia Conforto's Cross Slide.
    Now, what you are going to be using is JavaScript and jQuery. Tobia places a link to the minified version of jQuery on the website. Download that and place it into a js folder in your website. You may use your operating system to do this. Additionally, he has his Cross-Slide minified jQuery plugin downloadable there as well. That also goes in your js folder in the website. That folder must be uploaded to your server with all of the files in it.
    Now, you're going to do three pictures. I generally put them into banners in my websites, but you can put them anywhere. You must define either a Class or an ID for where you are going to place those pictures in CSS:
    #slide {
              height: 157px;
              background-image: url("../images/picture01.jpg");
    Place the first picture you will have in your slide show into the background of that div as I have just done in my example above.
    Now, you're ready to go to work. Make each image the same size and place the following in the head area of your web page:
    <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="../js/jquery.cross-slide.min.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(function() {
              $('#slide').crossSlide({
                        sleep: 2,
                        fade: 1
                        { src: 'images/picture01.jpg' },
                        { src: 'images/picture02.jpg' },
                        { src: 'images/picture03.jpg' }
    </script>
    Please understand that, in my example above I am calling version 1.4.2 of jQuery -- they may be out with a newer version and the "min" stands for the "minified" version. It downloads faster in a browser.
    The JavaScript above should fit nicely just above the close of your head area. Make sure that the last curly brace for your last image does not have a comma after it. Microsoft's Internet Exploder will not show you the slide show if you forget that.
    Now, in your HTML, do this:
    <div id="slide"> <!-- slide show goes here -->
    </div>
    Please notice I have used an ID and not a Class here because I don't place slide shows in multiple places on my pages. I think one's enough.
    You can see this working right now on several of my websites
    http://christinokitchens.com/
    http://www.unitedstatesvending.net/
    http://www.clarkelandscapes.com/
    http://jwatts.com/
    This method absolutely works. You can look at my code in each of the above websites and copy it. In each case, I'm making a header that provides the visitor with a slide show. I tend to name the ID differently for each because it really depends on what I'm thinking about at the time.
    But this will get you done and operational with a minumum of fuss.
    It is possible that Dreamweaver CS5.5 automates this kind of a thing, but I am still doing it manually because I learned this code while working with CS3.
