SD certification
hi
One of my friend wants to do the SAP-SD Certification. He has Domain Knowledge in SD for 5 years. What is his Chances to get a job after Certification. He wants do it in Siemens(Chennai or Hyderabad). So,could any one give me advises on this.what is his chances to get job as a fresher in SAP-SD ? Could you please tell me which Siemens(Chennai or Hyderabad) is Best for Certification ?
Waiting for Advices
krish.
Hi Krishna
A sincere suggestion, please do not spend such a huge money on certification in anticipation of SAP job as SAP fresher.
There is NO GURANTEE that certification from SAP can help you a SAP job as per today's market trends.
I have been hearing from many contacts that, even after doing certification, many companies are looking for SAP Experienced candidates apart from Domanin Knowledge.
The right approach is, try and get a SAP job on Domain experience (as SAP Fresher). Work for some time in SAP and later you can go for Certifcation (most of the companies sponser for that like my company did for me).
Alternatively, your friend can get into a job where he can work as Key user , Power user of SAP so that he can get a right knowledge of how a SAP can be implemented / supported from their own company implementation. With that experience of handling SAP, Iam sure, he can land into Consulting Job with much confidence and brighter chances.
Hope this helps.

New Certification blog and new magazine about certification
Dear Oracle Certification addicts
Please consult the following blog http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/
I did really appreciate the To Certify or Not to Certify topic is it quite good.
Especially that Note to Hiring Managers: Just as candidate should not stake their careers solely on certification, you should not hire someone just because they are certified. Certification is an important factor and should play a role in your hiring process, but you should also base your hiring decisions on experience, education/training and communication skills (among other things). Most importantly you should follow up carefully with the candidate’s references. By looking at the whole package and verifying the details with multiple references you will improve your chances of hiring the right candidate.
And we have now also a dedicated magazine or new letter on the oracle certification
Extract from the news letter:
July has been a busy month in Oracle Certification, with several new exciting things to share! Among them, our new and long-awaited Oracle Certification Blog. We are looking forward to sharing ongoing updates and discussing relevant topics in this short and easy to read format. Let us know what you think!
We’re also happy to share that we have quite a few certifications still available in beta for a significant discount. It’s not only your chance to be among the first to be certified, but allows you to participate in our development process by providing Oracle with valuable feedback.. And of course, we are ramping up for our annual Oracle blowout in San Francisco - Oracle OpenWorld 2008, coming up in September. We hope to see you there!

Have good readings....My understand is Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional (OCP) certification is already available via 1z0-050 to those with 10g OCP; to be technically correct IMHO this would make it a new path to the certification rather than a new certification ;-)

Need advice about certification: do J2SE 1.4 or wait for 1.5 to go out?
I need advice here! I am studing for Java Programmer certification (310-035) and I know now that the certification does not have any expiration date, instead it's version based. So, if I get now a J2SE 1.4 certification, soon it will be outdated... I guess!
Does anyone know or have any ideia of WHEN java 1.5 sdk will be avaliable, and anyone can tell me how long it will take for a new 1.5 programmer certification be avaliable for general public?Do both. 1.5 is far enough away that you do not want to wait for it.
And besides, 1.5 has enough new stuff in it that you'll want to recertify anyway. -

Advanced certification in ABAP
Hi All
I am a ABAP programmer with 3 yrs of ABAP experience and currently working on EDI / IDOC technologies. I wanted to go for ABAP certification but I was advised by many not to do it as exam has got very simple ABAP questions, mainly on Basic ABAP
I just wanted to know how true it is and is there any other certification for Advanced ABAPPERS ? ( Like Sun has for Java ).
Are there any certification exams for ALE Idoc , BW programming.
AmolHi Amol,
Your question amused me. I am also a certified ABAPer, having a rootless existance in SAP. I was working on Web technologies till last Aug and got Certified then and have been an ABAPer ever since. Unfortunately, there is no advanced certification program for ABAP but a certified ABAPer is always considered to have it all.
You are right about the exam questions. It is all basic ABAP, but you see, high rises stand on great foundations. To learn advanced topics, may be you should approach SAPLABS at b'lore as you have over 3 yes of exp and that too on hot technologies like EDI/IDOC.
I would suggest anyone to go for the certification, not to get their 2-3 lakhs spent, but for the face that you will be globally accessible being a certified ABAPer and will have great demand abroad and in India.
Good luck.
If you think this helped you, please reward me

Hi,
2 questions on ABAP certification:
1) Are there any courses that are MANDATORY prior to taking the certification exam? In other words, could I take the exam without having taken any formal courses if I should choose to do so?
2) What is the cost in USD to take the exam?
Thanks for your help!
Andy

Edited by: Andrew Brusko on Jul 27, 2009 8:32 PMHi Andrew,
This question should be rather posted at [SAP Certified Professionals|SAP Certification;, but I htink moderators will move that for you.
As for the questions:
1) There is no mandatory course, only recommended ones. If you feel strong enough with basics you don't need to take any of these. What SAP suggests is to accomplish TAW10, TAW11, TAW12 courses (depending on cert.exam you want to take). Either ABAP Developer for SAP Netweaver 2004 or latest one ABAP Developer for SAP Netweaver 7.0. Both are mostly covered in mentioned courses. Second one just requires some WEB dynpro knowledge and Unicode. You don't have to attend any of them, just look for the meterials and get prepared with them. TAW10 and TAW12 can be easily found in net, TAW11 is hard to get, but still you can learn from other SAP materials covering same topics.
2) I don't know the cost in US, in Poland it cost me around $650 for Associate exam.
Check directly on http://www.sap.com/usa/services/education/certification/index.epx for pricing and further details.
Good luck!

Where to find entry level sap jobs with a Terp10 Certification
Hello I am a soon to be college graduate graduating this December.
My question is with a Terp10 certification and no work experience what can I expect from the job market. Are there companies that hire college graduates with no SAP work experience? Are there any resources that help graduates find entry level SAP jobs.Hi ,
Welcome to the World of SAP !
As a fresher there are lot of options to start the career in SAP domain . As a fresher doing a certification *** training with out any prior experience , the opportunities for getting a job will be very less. SAP is a Enterprise business software which has the Technical ( ABAP,BASIS .......) Functional (SD,PP,MM,FI,...) Techno Functional modules . Choose a very option to get started . Getting a right career is not a tough job for you , search in web , read about sap , lot of online information ,forums available . choosing a career is a brainstorming work , my suggestion drop the idea of doing certification , as you are a fresher and very difficult to get a job without any experience . Please check the links to get start . good luck

Hi all.
I have stanalone offline RootCA, and enterprise domain SubCA on DC on Windows 2012 server. I have Windows 2003 Terminal Server, users logon to TS via smart cards - and this work fine.
Now I added Windows server 2012 as "Terminal Server".
Now I added Windows server 2012 R2 as "Terminal Server".
I configured both servers identically.
Users can logon via smart card to Windows Server 2012.
Users CAN NOT logon via smart card to Windows Server 2012 R2.
When user trying to logon via smart card, they have information:
"An untrusted cartification authority was detected while processing the domain controller certificate used for authentication. Additional information..."
I run a certutil.exe -scinfo on both Windows 2012/2012R2 servers.
I found differences in the (~) same place in the output log.

Whether Windows 2012R2 is not trying to build a certificate path, treating smart card logon certificate as (Sub)CA certificate?
Previous and probably wrong idea:
The only thing that comes to my mind is my SubCA.
I have two CA Certyficates:
Certyficate #0 (expired)
Certyficate #1 <- valid.
I guess that all Windows before Windows 2012 R2 build certyficafion chain from valid (second #1) certyficate. Windows 2012 R2 take first and we have:
"A certification chain processed correctly, but one of the CA certificates is not trusted by the policy provider.

This is a bug or feature?
How I can fix this without removal Certificate #0 from my SubCA?

Simplest way to block a sender on OWA Outlook, specifically on the iPad
I'm not code proficient at all, and my boss who isn't either asked if there was a way to block an email on his iPad OutLook. He's not in the office, and he hates questions. This is as much info as I have. As I don't have access to an iPad, I'm having
