Is surface not supported?
How do I insert <code> tags as I used to?

Hi Rene,
It sure would be easier if that error message said something like "Surface not supported".  I think that Oracle Spatial only supports "Simple Geometric Primitives" (section 9.2) in the 3.1.1 specification whereas Surface is an "additional" geometric primitive in section 10.2.  The Oracle documentation does not mention such details so I think you'd need to submit an SR to get a definitive answer.   I've never tested each and every primitive to see if each one works or not, but I'd guess its just the simple ones that work.
Your GML snippet works just fine in PostGIS
SELECT ST_AsText(ST_GeomFromGML('<gml:Surface srsName="urn:ogc:def:crs:EPSG::28992" xmlns:gml="http://www.opengis.net/gml"><gml:patches><gml:PolygonPatch><gml:exterior><gml:LinearRing><gml:posList srsDimension="2" count="7">83665.185 437483.078 83655.784 437479.597 83667.002 437448.834 83669.197 437449.752 83673.781 437451.666 83676.38 437452.753 83665.185 437483.078</gml:posList></gml:LinearRing></gml:exterior></gml:PolygonPatch></gml:patches></gml:Surface>'));
which is running JTS under the covers.  So one option is to use JTS in Oracle as Simon Greener does
http://www.spatialdbadvisor.com/oracle_spatial_tips_tricks
If that is not a fit, coding your own GML reader using PLSQL and XMLTYPE is not that hard to do and gives you the ability to work around any oddities in the incoming GML.

  • OLEDB provider VFPOLEDB for linked server returned message "Invalid path or file name"

    Hello,
    I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this.  I'd researched this error for days, reading all the post in this forum, however none of them address my issue.
    We use VFP 9 .dbf tables (free tables).  I setup a linked server to query the tables.  As first we were not able to view the tables in SQL Server Mgmt Studio (MSMS) until I sorted out the permissions.  I can query the tables if I copy over
    to the server so they are local tables.  However, across the network I am continually getting the error above and the following error:
    "Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider VFPOLEDB for linked server XXX."
    Here are the steps I've performed...
    Installed a 32 bit instance of SQL Server Express 2008 R2 using Windows Authentication on server 2 (the 64 bit instance could not see the VFP OLE DB provider, as we all know, because the provider is only 32 bit)
    Installed the latest VFP OLE DB from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14839.
    In the VFPOLEDB provider, I enabled Nested queries, Level zero only, Allow inprocess, and Supports 'Like' operator.
    Setup a linked server using the following query:
    EXEC master.dbo.sp_addlinkedserver
    @server = N'LinkedAC',
    @srvproduct = N'Visual FoxPro 9',
    @provider = N'VFPOLEDB',
    @datasrc = N'"\\server1\share\TIW\KOKAC"',
    @provstr = N'VFPOLEDB.1'
    At first I could not view the tables when expanding default>Tables, it failed due to a "catastrophic failure".  That can't be good ;-).  After digging around, I surmised it was because I'd set the SQL Instance to run as NT Authority\NetworkService.
    I created a new user, LinkedVFP, and added to the SQL Instance (using Windows Authentication), mapped the user to the master database with the db_datareader role.  I also added the LinkedVFP user to the network share.  I was then able to browse
    the tables in MSMS and query the data when local, but still not across the network.
    I'm using Crystal Reports to try and query the data from my local workstation using SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY(mylinkedserver, 'select * from table1').  This produces the two errors I mentioned above.
    To clarify, the VFP tables are on server 1 and the linked server is on server 2.  I've read about service account delegation, but unclear if this is the issue.  I went into our domain controller (neither server 1 or 2), AD User and Computers, and
    for server 2 I enabled 'Trust this computer for delegation to any service (Kerberos only)'.
    Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
    Thanks!
    Aaron McVanner

    Hi hgratz,
    Considering 'invalid serial number' error for Acrobat 9, I would suggest you to please refer the KB doc link mentioned below:

  • Sax parser returned an exception. Message: Invalid character (Unicode: 0x12

    Hi,
    I'm getting the error 'Sax parser returned an exception. Message: Invalid character (Unicode: 0x12), Entity publicId: , Entity systemId: , Line number: 47, Column number: 75'
    when I try and run a report in BI Answers 10g.
    Apparently it's to do with a Java applet (or piece of Java code anyway) not being sent to an exception so it can't handle it. The problem is that I can't
    run the report to get at some of the views that seem only available at run time. eg. charts.
    Does anyone know how I can see behind the scenes of views without running the report?
    Or does anyone know how to get rid of this error anyway?
    Many thanks,
    - Jenny

    Hi Satya,
    I am facing the same issue. but I am facing this issue with Mozilla Firefox browser only. If I modify same reports in internet explorer I don't get this error.  It seems this issue is with OBIEE 10g version only and Oracle has provided some patches on this in OBIEE 11g .
    You have posted this question long back. If you have got any solution for this then please let me know also.
    Thanks

  • Issue about BI JAVA SDK-SOAP request failed with return message 2147483653

    Dear Experts,
    I'm trying to use BI JAVA SDK to connect BW by using XMLA connector.
    But there's an error messaet said :
    SOAP request failed with return message 2147483653 ( Invalid MDX command with INCLUDING)
    I'm really new to this JAVA SDK, and after searching help in SAP Service Market and Google, there's no helpful suggestion.
    please help me about how to fix this error.
    Here is my code:
    IBIConnection connection = (IBIConnection) cf.getConnectionEx(cs);
          IBIOlap olap = connection.getOlap();
          Cube cube = olap.getObjectFinder().
          findCubeFirst((String)null, "ZFI_C11/ZFI_C11_Q001");
        // This is just a sanity check to verify that the
        // cube on which this example relies was retrieved
        if (cube==null){
            System.out.println("no cube found");
    // Didn't print out this message, seems it can connect to BW and get the InfoCube and Query.
        Dimension plantDimension = olap.getObjectFinder().
        findDimensionFirst(cube, "ZPLANT");
      Dimension materialDimension = olap.getObjectFinder().
        findDimensionFirst(cube, "ZMATERIAL");
      IBIQuery query = olap.createQuery(cube);
      IBICommandProcessor commandProcessor = query.getCommandProcessor();
      commandProcessor.moveDimensionToRows(plantDimension);
      commandProcessor.moveDimensionToRows(materialDimension);
      IBIDataSet dataset = query.execute(); // After execute this statement, error happens.
    Thank you!
    Andy

    Solved myself, it's because the query used in my code have user input variable.

  • IOS Mobile Device Management - The SCEP server returned an invalid response

    I am in the process of writing an open source iOS mobile device management module in Java. For this I am referring the Apple provided Ruby code at [1]. I have set this up and it works fine for me. Now I need to convert this code to Java. So far I have accomplished to do that up to PKIOperation. In the PKI operation I get "The SCEP server returned an invalid response" which I believe is due to wrong response I sent to device upon PKIOperation.
    However when I do search on the internet I get this is something to do with the "maxHttpHeaderSize" as I am using the server as Apache Tomcat. Although I increase that since still it does not get resolved.
    Here is the code I need to convert - taken from Apple provided Ruby script
    if query['operation'] == "PKIOperation"
        p7sign = OpenSSL::PKCS7::PKCS7.new(req.body)
        store = OpenSSL::X509::Store.new
        p7sign.verify(nil, store, nil, OpenSSL::PKCS7::NOVERIFY)
        signers = p7sign.signers
        p7enc = OpenSSL::PKCS7::PKCS7.new(p7sign.data)
        csr = p7enc.decrypt(@@ra_key, @@ra_cert)
        cert = issueCert(csr, 1)
        degenerate_pkcs7 = OpenSSL::PKCS7::PKCS7.new()
        degenerate_pkcs7.type="signed"
        degenerate_pkcs7.certificates=[cert]
        enc_cert = OpenSSL::PKCS7.encrypt(p7sign.certificates, degenerate_pkcs7.to_der,
            OpenSSL::Cipher::Cipher::new("des-ede3-cbc"), OpenSSL::PKCS7::BINARY)
        reply = OpenSSL::PKCS7.sign(@@ra_cert, @@ra_key, enc_cert.to_der, [], OpenSSL::PKCS7::BINARY)
        res['Content-Type'] = "application/x-pki-message"
        res.body = reply.to_der
    end
    So this is how I written this in Java using Bouncycastle library.
    X509Certificate generatedCertificate = generateCertificateFromCSR(
                    privateKeyCA, certRequest, certCA.getIssuerX500Principal()
                            .getName());
            CMSTypedData msg = new CMSProcessableByteArray(
                    generatedCertificate.getEncoded());
            CMSEnvelopedDataGenerator edGen = new CMSEnvelopedDataGenerator();
            edGen.addRecipientInfoGenerator(new JceKeyTransRecipientInfoGenerator(
                    receivedCert).setProvider(AppConfigurations.PROVIDER));
            CMSEnvelopedData envelopedData = edGen
                    .generate(
                            msg,
                            new JceCMSContentEncryptorBuilder(
                                    CMSAlgorithm.DES_EDE3_CBC).setProvider(
                                    AppConfigurations.PROVIDER).build());
            CMSSignedDataGenerator gen = new CMSSignedDataGenerator();
            ContentSigner sha1Signer = new JcaContentSignerBuilder(
                    AppConfigurations.SIGNATUREALGO).setProvider(
                    AppConfigurations.PROVIDER).build(privateKeyRA);
            List<X509Certificate> certList = new ArrayList<X509Certificate>();
            CMSTypedData cmsByteArray = new CMSProcessableByteArray(
                    envelopedData.getEncoded());
            certList.add(certRA);
            Store certs = new JcaCertStore(certList);
            gen.addSignerInfoGenerator(new JcaSignerInfoGeneratorBuilder(
                    new JcaDigestCalculatorProviderBuilder().setProvider(
                            AppConfigurations.PROVIDER).build()).build(
                    sha1Signer, certRA));
            gen.addCertificates(certs);
            CMSSignedData sigData = gen.generate(cmsByteArray, true);
            return sigData.getEncoded();
    The returned result here will be output in to the servlet output stream with the content type "application/x-pki-message".
    It seems I get the CSR properly and I generate the X509Certificate using following code.
    public static X509Certificate generateCertificateFromCSR(
            PrivateKey privateKey, PKCS10CertificationRequest request,
            String issueSubject) throws Exception {

        // in 2 years
        Date validityEndDate = targetDate2.getTime();
        X509v3CertificateBuilder certGen = new X509v3CertificateBuilder(

                        .currentTimeMillis()), validityBeginDate,

  • The SCEP server returned an invalid response.

    Hello
    We are trying to enroll iPhone 3GS device with iOS 4.1 to be used with MDM. For SCEP server we use MSCEP in Windows Server 2008. We can't get over "Enrolling Certificate" step because it always fails with message "The SCEP server returned an invalid response.". How can we get more details? Analyzing captured HTTP stream revealed no issues.
    Thanks in advance for any help.
    frustrated Martin

    We are testing in LAN and have configured our router to translate some domains to our local IPs. Could this be a problem? In payloads there are no IP addresses but these local domains.
    It looks CA is issued the certificate, you might seen that from cert manger console. I don't see any obvious reason why cert got rejected by iPhone. (May be some one experts from apple can find from following dump) Anyway I suggest following option to you.
    1) try with http if you are using https
    2) install CA cert to phone and try again
    3) check time between server and phone
    4) try to change default scep issue template to issue 2048 key.
    5) double check finger print(in SCEP profile) you config with ca cert.

    Return your phone to Apple for evaluation

  • Text replies returned as invalid number

    When I reply to certain texts I get a message that states invalid number please enter a valid wireless number.  any ideas what the problem is?  I am able to reply by going to
    contacts,
    picking the person,
    copy and paste the previously returned message and pasting it as a reply.  Too much work!

    Laura,
    Make sure you have deleted all contact information from BOTH phones, and all messages from each other on BOTH PHONES.  Then restart the phones.  It's important that there are no remaining messages or contact information when you try to start anew.
    THEN, send a text to each other using only the manually entered phone number.  If that is successful (it comes from the phone number), then add the phone number and contact information from the message.
    It seems it's still seeing the vtext messaging somehow, so it's critical that information is GONE and you are starting totally new with the phone number only.
    HTH,

                            var myFiles = [];
                            var myAllFilesList = myFolder.getFiles("*.indd");

                                        var pdfFile =File(File(myFolder).fsName + "\\"+myBookFileName_temp+"_WEB.pdf");
                                        var bookComps = myBook.bookContents;
                                        if (bookComps.length === 1)
                                                       bookComps = [bookComps];
                                         var myPDFExportPreset = app.pdfExportPresets.item("AER6");
                                        app.activeBook.exportFile(ExportFormat.PDF_TYPE,File("D:\\AER\\WEBPDF.pdf"),false,myPDFEx portPreset,bookComps);

  • When installing iTunes 10 I get an error message "Invalid Drive: F:|". ANy advice?

    All I want to do is upgrade from 9 to 10 so that I can run my ipad.
    When installing iTunes 10 I get an error message "Invalid Drive: F:|". ANy advice?

    Bissley,
    I have received this error in the past and it is usually caused by Windows automatically changing your external drive letters when you install. There are two ways around it; first, follow the directions provided by b noir. Second, within iTunes go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced
    Under the advanced options you'll see a recessed section called "iTunes Media folder location". Although you may have set this in the past it, if Windows changed your drive letters it will no longer be valid. Default is usually "C:\blah\blah\mymusic"
    Changing it just a matter of clicking "change" and finding your music folder again or change your drive letter back (if it changed at all).
    If Windows is changing your drive letters, it is best to set them yourself so that everytime you plug in the devices they use the letter you assigned. Here is a link for that process:

    Hope it helps.

  • Cannot edit wiki pages-- Exception message: Invalid field name

    We have migrated from one Sharepoint 2010 environment to another Sharepoint 2010 environment and only wanted to preserve a few sites, mostly Enterprise Wiki Sites.
    We have imported 5 total Enterprise Wiki Sites, all of which point to particular Term Sets in Managed Metadata.
    2 wikis are pointed to term set A, 2 wikis are pointed to term set B and one wiki is pointed to term set C.
    One of the wikis pointed to term set A is working, and one is not
    The malfunctioning wiki has the following symptom:
    Whenever you try to edit a page (new or existing) and save your changes, regardless of whether it is tagged, you cannot save your changes.  When you try, you get the error below.
    Error
    Failed to get value of the "Wiki Categories" column from the "Managed Metadata" field type control. See details in log. Exception message: Invalid field name. {f863c21f-5fdb-4a91-bb0c-5ae889190dd8}

    Go back to site
    To me, it looks like there is an invalid URL, since it gives the URL path, and then there is a space, and then it also has a relative URL to /wiki/adminwiki/pages ...is this normal?
    Any ideas on how to fix this is great.  I don't think it has anything to do with the Managed Metadata service or the Term Store since the other wiki site (pointing to the same exact Term Set) is working normally with no problems.

    To solve the problem make sure that the template you are using for the current page (with errors) has the same content type as the page. In example of the Enterprise Wiki page, I forgot to set the content type to an Enterprise Wiki page on a custom page
    template I just added to the Master pages.
    So what I had to do is:
    go to properties of the page with errors described above and set it to be
    Enterprise Wiki page
    go to master pages and set the custom template to be of the same type, Enterprise Wiki page
    That solved the problem

  • Form Error Message: Invalid relation attribute on pageSet xfa

    Hi,
    I've developed a form that many folks are using without any issues. However, I do have a small number of users that get the following error message when opening the form.
    Error Message:  Invalid relation attribute on pageSet xfa[0].template[0].form1[0].#pageSet[0]
    This error only appears to come up if they are using Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 8. No issues on versions 9 or 10 (X). The form is suppose to be compatible back to version 7.
    My main form is called (form1). Then there are 4 major sub forms under (form1), The top drop down (on the masterpage) hides or displays one of the major sub forms based on user selection.
    I have a hunch that something with the generated code not jiving well with Acrobat 8.
    Here's a snippet of the code if you'd like to look through it.
