Search for Printer Driver for Canon MPC190S

Hi,
I am facing a problem in getting my Mini to print on my existing printer (Canon MPC 190S).
Called up Local Canon Support, saying that they dont Support Mac system.
Anyone can help me out on advise on how to get the driver?
Thanks
Mac Mini   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Welcome to the Apple discussions.
The Canon MPC 190 (don't know what the S means, it didn't come up when searching Canon's web sites) is only supported by Windows, so what Canon told you is correct, they don't have a mac driver or mac multifunction software for it.
While there may be a way to enable the mini to do basic printing, you may want to consider another multifunction fax/copy/printer that has mac support.

  • Driver for Canon MPC190

I cannot find a print driver for the multi machine (scan/print/copy) Canon Smartbase MPC190 (not on Canon support nor on Apple). Apperantly it doesn't exist. Would there be anybody out there knowing about a developped driver for this, or if any other driver might fit?
I'm using 10.2, 10.3 and 10.4 version on my Mac's (yes, I will upgrade them soon to the same
    Thanx all/Pär

EFI have posted an update utility for 10.6. You will see from the release notes on the page that this updater is for EFI print controllers using System 6 architecture or later. I believe the imagePASS-J1 and imagePASS-G1 are both System 7 architecture so this should work for danbolta and sighop.
The update changes permissions on the PS3 folder located in ./Library/Printers/Canon.

  • Printer Driver Oce/Canon (PostScript) /

    Hi all,
I will have to support a Oce and Canon printer. For this I will need to make seperate presentment targets as explained in this list already.
First of all, has anyone got a (custom) driver for Oce or Canon printers? Would be nice starting point for me.
Second, does anyone have experience in making drivers for PostScript printers?
For some reason they have a ".ICF" file next to the ".ICS" and ".ITF". It is not a text file so I have no clue why it is being used.
The Oces we have are media type driven (so "A4down" will use a tray which was called "A4down") so I could adjust a .ICS file to change the PostScript code to use "A4down" instead of "A4". This is pretty straight forward unless the .ICF does something else.
    Thanks in advance,
    Edward

Try the Canon Australia site here. The link should take you to the ip3600 os x 10.7 downloads, including the driver.

  • Can't use correct driver for Canon MF4140 USB printer shared by Windows XP

    Hi all,
I have a Canon MF4140 printer connected to my Windows XP desktop machine via USB. The printer is shared and I can see it over the network with my MacBook running OS-X 10.4.
I've downloaded the OS-X version of the printer driver from Canon, but I can't select it when adding the printer in OS-X, so I can't access any of the printer settings. I've selected the generic driver but that doesn't allow me to do double sided or 2-up printing.
Is this because the printer driver does not support network printing, as the printer doesn't have a network interface?

I guess this isn't clear on the iFelix page. To use any of the built-in network printing protocols on OS X, you must either have a postscript printer (postscript printers don't require a driver, just a PPD), or a driver that works with the CUPS system (a CUPS driver). So far, Brother is the only non-postscript printer manufacturer that provides CUPS drivers. For every other non-postscript printer, you need a third-party CUPS driver. Apple tried to get around this issue by including Gimp-Print drivers (open source CUPS drivers), but your model isn't in Gimp-Print. You can look around for other CUPS drivers, but Lexmark hasn't been cooperative with driver writers. Here are the CUPS driver sources:
    http://www.linuxprinting.org/macosx/
    http://www.easysw.com/printpro/
    http://www.printfab.net/
You may find it easier to share from OS X.

  • Printer driver for cannon

Is there a workaround for the lack of Cannon Pixma iP1700 driver for my MacBook Pro and Yosemite?

The last printer driver that Canon released for the iP1700 was for Mac OS X 10.7. You may be able to install this driver on Yosemite so here is a link to that driver. Note that the digital signature is most likely not for Yosemite so Gatekeeper will block the installation. To get past Gatekeeper, right-click on the installer and select Open from the pop-up menu that appears. This will now give you the option to install the driver.

  • Hp psc 950 printer only prints black and white, no driver for Canon lpb 5000

    Hi everyone,
I am trying to install my two printers on mac book pro.
    Problem 1.
My HP psc 950 printer is only printing in a bad black and white quality - no color at all?? - any idea where I can download a printerdriver that is actually up to date? The one mac book has preinstalled seems not to be the right one?
    Problem 2.
My may can´t find a driver for my other printer Canon LPB 5000 at all. I´ve already downloaded the canon drivers for Mac book  - so I see a long list of Canon drivers but the LPB 5000 is not there and I don´t find any download of it in the web. I work with os x 10.7 and there is just an old mac driver for 10.6 to be found on the Canon website. I downloaded it but still does not work.
Hope someone can help. Both printers used to work fine on Windows but I am changing to Mac now and need to get them work.
    Thanks,

    Hi guys,
I'm searching for a printer driver for the Canon Lasershot LBP-1120. I've been looking around a bit on google but haven't found anything very helpful.

  • How to install Windows 7 64 bit driver for Canon i9100 Printer?

When I try to install my Canon i9100 printer on my HP laptop running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, Windows cannot locate a driver.  Visiting the Canon website, I find an update module for the Windows driver.  Canon says the printer MUST be installed using Windows Updater before their driver update can be installed.  I have tried everything, but I cannot get Windows to find a driver.  Windows Updater says that my computer is Up To Date.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thank you,

    Hi Honeycutt,
The Windows 7 driver for your i9100 is only available from Microsoft through Windows Update.  Please try Microsoft's web page for assistance with troubleshooting this:

  • HT3669 Latest Mac OS Update Driver for Canon 9500 Pro causes text lines all to be printed over the first letter of the line?

Anyone know how I can 'fix' the Mac OS printer driver for the Canon 9500 Pro - all my text lines end up with the whole line being printed over the first character of the line of text when printing PDFs. It has ruined a lot of work.

    I'd try this:
Delete the current printer (reset the print system) Mac OS X: How to reset the printing system
Delete all other Canon software and utilities from your computer.
Do a factory reset on your printer
Use Software Update to download the driver from Apple.
Don't reinstall any other Canon Utilities.
Make sure you don't have something mechanical stopping the paper from advancing.
If the problem is really the driver, then you could look in Gutenprint for a different driver. Gutenprint for Mac OS X

  • Where can I find a printer driver for Canon Pixma iP6600D? I have Mac OS 10.9.2

I have a great printer Canon Pixma iP6600D, still works great. I want to either download a printer driver or I want to learn how to transfer the driver from my Mac desk top. If I knew where to find the driver I could just manually transfer it from my desktop to my laptop.  Both are running maverick.
    Can anyone help me?

The last driver that Canon released for the iP6600D was v10.51 for OS X 10.7. You could try downloading and installing this driver via this link.
Note that the driver may not be digitally signed so Gatekeeper will block its installation. To get past Gatekeeper, you can right-click on the installer and select Open from the pop-up menu that appears. You will then be given the option to install the driver.

  • Need printer driver for Canon imageclass D320

Anyone direct me to a printer Driver for the Canon Imageless 320?
    Canon support says none available.
    Macbook pro under Yosemite.
    thanks

Canon never made an OS X version of its proprietary driver "CARPS" that is used by the D320. And the Canon driver link provided above is just for Canon inkjets - there is no support for your model.
If you want to print to the D320 from the Mac, you would need to install a virtual machine application like VMware's Fusion and then load Windows 7 into the VM.

  • Driver for Canon LBP-3000 printer

    to all,
i could imagine tha there would be no driver of the LBP-3000 available for mac...
i found a site, saying that there is a CAPT driver from a japanese canon's site. the problem is... the dirver fits only up to Mac OS X 10.4.4... the OS in my macbook is tiger...
    what should i do???
    thanks!

10.4.4 is Tiger. Current build is 10.4.6. Next one coming up is 10.4.7, so this driver is supported in Tiger.
    From MacOSHints:
After months of frustration of having to use Virtual PC running Windows XP in order to print to the Canon LBP 3000, I've finally discovered that Canon has indeed (albeit silently to the whole world) released a CAPT printer driver that works without the ridiculous requirement of having to have the Japanese version of OS X installed. This is not the Linux CUPS version, it is the full LBP CAPT driver made by Canon themselves. Software support: 10.2.8 thru to 10.4.4 (in English)
    http://cweb.canon.jp/drv-upd/lasershot/captusbmacx.html
    It apparently works with:
    LBP-2410 / 1210 / 1120 / 1110 / 1110, Premium / 1110SE, LBP5200 / 5000 / 3600 / 3500 / 3300 / 3210 / 3200 / 3000.
I've tested it with LBP3000 on 10.4.5 (directly and via Printer Sharing). The installer is in Japanese, and it quits all applications and requires a restart, and requires you to manually setup the printer using the System Preferences. After this mild digression, you have full printer functionality and setup options (including toner usage), all in English, and it's nice and fast.
My insanity has now gone, and I can now terminate that unnecessary relationship with Virtual PC for good!
PS: Japanese language skills are not required, just press the default button(s) when installing. If you're looking for an excellently cheap printer, I can now seriously recommend the LBP-3000.

  • Printer driver for Canon MP730

i am am totally fed up with my HP 8500 officejet printer (paper jam all the time). I want to start using my older printer (Canon MP 730) again in combination with an iMac running on OS X Yosemite
DId anyone find a printer driver for a Canon MP 730 that works properly with an iMac running on OS X Yosemite?  I am only using the printing and scanning function of  the Canon MP 730 (do not use the fax).

The MP730 was released in 2003 and support ended in 2010. The last OS X driver that Canon released was for Mac OS X 10.6 and this will not install on Yosemite.
So your options are Gutenprint v5.2.10, which is free, or PrintFab, which costs €49.
Note that Gutenprint v5.2.10 is not digitally signed for Yosemite so its installation will be blocked by Gatekeeper. To get past Gatekeeper, right-click on the Gutenprint installer package and select Open from the pop-up menu that appears. Now you will get the option to install.

  • Printer Driver for Canon MX310

    Hi everyone,
Just made the switch to Mac on the weekend, and everything is running smoothly on my new SR Macbook so far. The only thing I'm having trouble with is getting the right printer driver set up.
I got the Canon MX310 with the rebate that came with my macbook, and it's connected to a PC running Windows XP. I have everything shared properly, and I installed the printer driver (onto my Macbook as well) that came on the CD with the printer. The problem I'm having is that I can't figure out where this printer driver is saved to on my Macbook!
I tried looking at all those drivers that come preinstalled on Leopard, but the MX310 is not one of them, and it doesn't seem that my newly installed driver shows up on that list.
I just can't find it, so I have selected the Generic Postscript Printer driver. Could someone please help me set this up so that I am using the correct driver for my printer?
    Many thanks!!

I USE THIS DRIVER WHEN PRINTING FROM A MAC TO A WINDOWS XP OVER A NETWORK FOR THE CANON MX310. CANON PIXMA MP150 - GUTENPRINT V5.0.2 FIRST YOU NEED TO GO DOWN LOAD THIS FILE http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/gimp-print/gutenprint-5.0.2-ub.dmg?download INSTALL AND THEN WHEN INSTALLING THE PRINTER CHOOSE THE DRIVER I METION ABOVE.
