Search function in member filter shows multiple entries by value

Dear all,
when using the search function to specify a filter on specific members, we are facing the issue that in the result area, the result value for one member is displayed redundantly several times.
The access mode is set to "values in masterdata", but as my members are unique by key, I wonder why the members are shown multiple times.
Does anyone has a solution for this?

in this case I clearly do not have any compound elements, as 0PLANT is a stand alone characteristic. Other objects like 0MAT_PLANT (where I would have a compound element of 0PLANT) are not available in the providers - and even then it would be strange if AO would check against this objects when I try to apply a filter on a different member....

Data in the cube is showing multiple entries when compared with ODS

Hello BW Gurus,
We have a waste report in production planning on Cube and ODS separately. The same info package loads both targets (which means same infosource) but when we run a report on Cube, the records are showing multiple entries (i.e. Key Figures are not matching when compared to ODS) where as the ODS records are showing correctly as it was in R/3. There are totally 6 key figures out of which 4 pulled from R/3 and 2 are populated in BW.
An Example:
Waste report in PP run for plant 1000 for 12/2005 and process order 123456. The operational scrap should be 2.46% and the component scrap should be 3.00% for material 10000000. The report is showing 7.87% for planned operational waste % and 9.6% for planned component waste %. These values are not correct. The ODS values for order 123456 matched the data in R/3 for component and operational scrap.
There is a Start routine to the ODS and also to the cube. I am not good at ABAP so requesting your Help.

some how the AGSU qyt is not populating in the cube and when I dbug the code, I could see a clean record in the internal table but not in the cube.

Hi Swathi
In ODs we have option of overwriting and addition however in Cube we have only adition.Thats why you are getting multiple enteries.
If you are running daily full load on the cube then please delete the earlier requests.
So at one point of time there should be only one full load request in cube. Hope this will solve your problem.

List View Showing Multiple Entries for Certain Records

I've been updating my large mp3 library with album art in order to make the list view more useful and fun to look at. With just a handful of records however I've noticed that they're getting split into multiple entries. For instance, Album X shows up twice, with one entry displaying only song 1 and the other entry displaying the rest of the songs.
I've looked hard at the tags but I don't see any difference. All the records in question were ripped using iTunes so they're not coming from different sources either.
Any thoughts would be hugely appreciated! Cheers.

Search function, user/member login, shopping cart

I'm hitting some major walls here. I'm a graphic designer and I am building a website for a company that needs a search function for their products, a user/member function so customers can have accounts, and also a shopping cart.
I need a pro to point me in the right direction on how I can set this up. My experience thus far has been basic ccs/html.
Zoomindex was refered to me but I am on a Mac and I didnt see a Mac version.
Can these three things be built in Dreamweaver?

You'd need to know how to program server-side code (php, asp, asp.net) etc to be able to pull something like that off. You're going to want to look into using a third-party content mangement system (CMS), and then "style" that CMS to look like what you want.
I'd recommend either WordPress or Drupal for your project. Both WordPress and Drupal will handle the search and user registration out of the box and each has several options to add shopping carts.

Mail Inbox Showing Multiple Entries Lately

As of Jan 7 my Mail inbox on my MacBook Pro began showing multiple lines for each email received. At first it was five or so repeats, and now, evey time Mail refreshes it multiplies the earlier repeats such that the oldest ones going back to Jan 7 are repeated 100 times, and more recent are repeated less. Odd thing is that mail proior ot Jan 7 still appears as a single inbox item. Its like all mail since Jan 7 is multiplied each time i refresh.
On my iPhone, the mail inbox is acting normally.
Any ideas on how to solve?

I trashed all of my incoming email since Jan 7th, and these come back upon refreshing. First as two lines, then when it refreshes again, it comes as four lines for each, then eight, etc.
Mail previous to Jan 7th is OK and is not multiplied.

3 apps installed, facebook,, weather channel and live strong calorie counter, 44.7 mb free space.
I just got this phone because I beat up my curve.
I tried to search my device so find something on the calendar. I opened the search, clicked the calendar and unclicked evertything else. hit the menu button, highlighted search.... now it goes weird..... either NOTHING happens and the phone locks up. PULLED the battery and started over.... sometimes it WILL search.... shows (3) results, but not what the results are, hit menu and EXPAND and nothing happens..... OR I get the uncaught exception, javalangnullpointer error.
Please help! I rely heavily on my calendar and the search funciton.

You are running an extremely old (and EOL, btw) device, further hampered with a very out of date OS (they offer into the 5.x.x.x range OS for that model). The device was never known for it's stability (I had one for a while), and may indeed never function well for you. (And I never bothered with any of the search capabilities, especially in older OS levels.)
What I'd recommend is a clean OS reload...the simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
1) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
2) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

3) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:

4) If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
5) Launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC. If, during the process, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
Don't forget to backup.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:

You may also want to investigate the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe it is capable of.
You may also want to try this procedure to perhaps narrow down the precise causal item:
Load your OS "bare bones"...if anything is optional, do not install it.
If the behavior presents immediately, then try a different OS with step 1
If the behavior does not immediately present, then run for as long as it takes for you to be sure that the behavior will not present.
Add one thing -- no matter how tempting, just one.
If the behavior does not present immediately, then again run for long enough to be sure it will not have the same problem
Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are loaded or the behavior presents
When the behavior presents, you know the culprit...the last thing you loaded.
If the behavior does not re-present, then you know that either step 1 or 2 cured it.
If the behavior presents no matter what, then you likely have a hardware level issue for which no amount of OS or software can cure.

Track changes showing multiple entries for a single change?

Hi there .. I'm using Pages '09 v4.1 to edit MS Word '97 documents. I've been using the 'track changes' feature to work on chapters in a book and have done so with no problems so far (about 6 chapters so far in separate files). I went to start the next chapter and noticed that when I make a single change such as highlighting a word and making it italic, the tracking bubbles will show up as individual entries for every letter instead of for a single word. The really annoying thing is that it's not consistent .. some whole-word changes show up as a single entry, while some show as a few entries but don't necessarily correspond to how many letters are in the word being changed. When I try deleting specific tracking bubbles to see which part of the word they correspond to, it varies. For example, if I put the word "similar" in italics on page one, paragraph one, it shows up as 2 entries. When I delete the last entry, "imilar" will go back to standard font, while "s" stays italic until I delete the other entry. It's as though the words in the document are being recognized based on something other than the obvious, and certain letters are being grouped together in the program's brain, while others are separate.
It's not isolated to italics, btw. If I reformat the entire document to be left-aligned instead of center-aligned, it will show lots of separate tracking bubbles in various places through the document, rather than showing one bubble for my single change.
I've tried duplicating and saving a new version of the document, as well as creating a new doc and pasting everything into that and saving as a new doc, though I wasn't sure if this would carry over the problem .. It did.
It's not the end of the world as far as finishing this job, but it's pretty annoying and will be worse for the person who ultimately verifies the changes I've made. Any help is greatly appreciated.

AssignedTo showing multiple times on report

I was tasked with creating some reports from Service Manager using the cubes. My boss wanted a report that showed all active tickets, showing from high to low the analyst, then the category, then the user.
I used the following Fields:
IncidentStatusValue in the Column Label
IncidentDimCount in the Values
AssignedToUserDim.DisplayName, IncidentClassificationValue, and AffectedUserDim.DisplayName in the Row Labels.
The report looks exactly as I want it to.
The problem is that the data is wrong on several levels.
Issue 1: It shows multiple entries for the AssignedToUserDim.DisplayName
I changed the names, but if I click on the number 1 next to Joe User(Affected User) for either Analyst1 or 2 a tab open with IR48005. Basically the two analyst both show an active ticket assigned to them, when only one of them should.
Issue 2: The Grand Total that is calculated by the PivotTable is incorrect. I copy and paste the same numbers into the cells next to the PivotTable and the total is something completely different.
The weird thing about this also is that when I did this 20 minutes ago before writing this post, the Autocalc showed 130.
The first issue is more important than the second issue. It is not just this report and I have tried using many different values only to get the same duplication. Its almost like the DataWarehouse is not actually deleting the previous AssignedTo
user. The history in the actual ticket shows that it should be, but the reports show something different.
This then throws off every report I try to make. I made one for totals tickets per analyst and I noticed that I got credit for closed tickets that I had previously reassigned, as did the person who the ticket was reassigned to.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Unfortunately no. But I think I found a pattern in regards to this: it seems the current assigned to user is always the one listed the last.
I guess this is because the stored procedure behind the AssignedToUserDim doesn't filter if the relationship is still active. This is quite easy to "reproduce" via PowerShell.
Lets say you have an IR with ID IR1234 which has been re-assigned multiple times.
If you run this small query now in PowerShell you'll see that all the AssignedToUser relationships still exists, but only one of them has the property "IsDeleted" set to False.

So, in the DB those AssignedToUser relationships (actually it applies to all relationships) won't be "overwritten" or the old one deleted as soon as you re-assign an incident for example. Instead, new relationshipobjects will be generated and the old ones
changes the "IsDeleted" attribute to True.
Perhaps it would be possible to create a new Dim for the Data Warehouse, re-use the stored procedure for the AssignedToUserDim and modify it slightly to filter only for the active AssignedToUser relationship. Then you could use your newly created dim to
display the current Assigned To User. I haven't tested this though, probably it's more complex than I assume :)

UWL showing multiple userids

Hi,
We have a consumer portal connecting to multiple backend systems and multiple BI portal systems. When I try to forward a workitem and search for a userid, it shows 2-3 entries with the same userid. I am not sure why it's showing multiple entries with the same userid, though userid is unique. Is it picking up the userid from all the systems it's trying to connect?

Multiple entries in context menu

when right click on a file to open with a programm, the context menu shows multiple entries for some apps. My question is now how to put away multiple entries?

If you are speaking of the "open with" list having multiple application entries, if could be caused by a couple of things.
1) The entries could not actually be "duplicates", but essentiially are to you, as you only want one. If you have or have had more than one version of an application, the menu will list all versions of that app that are/were ever detected.
2) The list could be populated with duplicates that the system detected when either networking with another Mac, or accessing a cloned drive of your system. If this is the case, you need to rebuild the database that is serving up these duplicates.
Resetting the 'Open With' Menu
Resetting the 'Open With' menu will remove duplicates and ghost applications (ones you have deleted) from the list. You reset the 'Open With' menu by rebuilding the Launch Services database your Mac maintains. There are multiple ways to rebuild the Launch Services database, including third-party system utilities like Cocktail and Onxy.
If you don't own a system utility that can rebuild the Launch Services database, don't worry; you can perform the rebuild yourself using Terminal.
Using Terminal to Rebuild the Launch Services Database
Launch Terminal, located at /Applications/ Utilities/.
For OS X 10.5.x and later, enter the following at the Terminal prompt, and press enter:

Contextual menu in finder "open with" has multiple entries of same apps

When I use the contextual menu (right click) on documents, the menu point "open with..." shows multiple entries of the same programs. For example when right clicking a PDF, there appears 5 times neoOffice, 2 times Preview, 6 times ... any other application that you could use to open the document. This occurs on all user accounts, only that the multiplicity of listings of the apps is different. So it can't be a preferences problem on my account. What else could be the cause?
This is quite annoying because the apps-list becomes very long and unusable.
Note: I have 2 internal start up disks with OS and apps installed, but only one mounted. That means, there cannot be a duplicate (triplicate...etc) copy of any app accessible at any time.

Actually, I use Xupport to do that, but I think Onyx and several other Utilities include that option.

When an album has multiple artist how can you make them show up on an iPod Touch 4G? I can find an artist using the search function but they don't show up in the artist view on my iPod. iTunes shows them OK when you sort by artist.

Tech support seemed to understand the question but had no answer. Why would an album with only one artist show the artist but an album with multiple artist not show any of them. The album art show various in iTunes. That makes sense but on my iPod I would expect to see all artists.

Wish I did. I tried the group function but that didn't help in iTunes. The search function is the best I came up with. I can answer the question do you have susch and such artist. But I can't browse for an artist I don't remember exactly or have misspelled. Fortunately I don't think I've bought anything from iTunes that i already had. If you can't see an artist it's possible you think you don't have something you actually do have. Sorry, still hoping for a better work around or better yet a fix.

Show Multiple Filter Values in a Web Template

Now I want to show these filtered values for this characteristic on the web item. This is possible for ONE filter value when you use the XML path (f.e. DATA_PROVIDER:DP1?/BICS_VIEW/SELECTION_STATE/SELECTION/CHARACTERISTICS/CHARACTERISTIC[@name='CHARNAME']/SELECTIONS/SELECTION[1]/MEMBER/@text)
Is there a possibility to show MULTIPLE filter values for one characteristics in a text or input field? I don't want to use a drop down box or the info field.

the best ay to do is create a query with same variable parameters as of the main query and place filter Characters on rows.
Use this query in one analysis item and use it on top row of the template as Filters information.This will give better look and feel as well solve your requirement

I am curently trying to create a way to add fields for multiple children. I created an expanding table and the fields are automatically copied when I click on „+“ or are deleted when I click on „-“ . If I have multiple rows for children then the converted xml looks like this :
The correct xml for multiple data entries should look like this (this is from a xml scheme not made in LiveCycle) :
Even if I copy the fields without creating a table, the converted xml is still a mess just like on the first image. Is there a way to show the xml from the PDF from correctly.
