Security word entry problem

Hi, so when I am web browsing with my iPad2 and I have to enter a security word for a website to know I am indeed a human, the website always comes back to me saying i input the information incorrectly. I have checked I am entering the information correctly, I am aware sometimes they are case sensitive and that the ipad will default to the first letter being a capital and have changed that. I still get the problem every time. I have checked the websites on my laptop and they worked first time on both so I know the websites are working ok.
Is there something I am missing?
Cheers,
Greg

OK. Try the following 'standard' fixes for Safari and see if they have any impact :
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

• Certain websites like Craigslist show a scrambled, blurry security word image that the user has to type into a field in order to submit an ad. With Firefox, the word doesn't show up in the field. I have to open Explorer to accomplish this task.

When a user posts an ad on Craigslist, they are sent an e-mail with a link. Clicking on this link brings the user to a page where the ad content can be checked, and the last step is to retype the scrambled security word into a field. When I'm on Firefox, this word (which I'm assuming is an image file like a .jpg or a .bmp) does not appear.
I just had this same problem on a website called Sailing Anarchy when trying to register a new account.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
See:
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_animations_do_not_load
* Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
* Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
* Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
* Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

During the ticket purchase process, the purchaser is asked to enter two "security words" that are presented in a somewhat difficult to read (almost cartoon) format. I really don't have an answer for that one. I guess that while trying to get things working correctly, I would use the most basic monitor I had which in your case would be the Eizon using the Thunderbolt port and adaptor.
When you boot into Safe Mode the startup is quite slow, but you should get the Apple logo and then the spinning gear below it (release the SHIFT key when it appears.) Then after a little more time you should see a gray progress bar appear below the spinning gear. When that disappears the computer will startup to a login screen.

• What is the mean of using Portal with Role Based security as entry point

Hi Experts we have requirement of integration of Portal and MDM
I am completely new to the MDM. So please give me some idea , what is the meanin for following points.
1) Using the Portal with Role Based security as entry point for capacity and Routing Maintaince(These two are some modules).
2) Additionally , Portal should have capability to enter in to the MDM for future master data maintence. Feeds of data will need to be come from SAP 4.6c
Please give me the clarity of what is the meanin of second point
Regards
Vijay

Hi
It requires the entire land scape like EP server and MDM server both should be configured in SLD.
Your requirement is maintaing and updating the MDM data with Enterprise portal. We have some Business Packages to install in Portal inorder to access the functionality of MDM.
Portal gives you a secure role based functionality of MDM through Single sign on (login into the portal access any application) to their end users.
Please go through this link
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdmgds55/helpdata/EN/45/c8cd92dc7f4ebbe10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
You need to develope some custom applications which should be integrated into the portal to access MDM Server master data
The estimation involves as per your requirement clearly
Its depends upon the Landscape settings, Requirement complexity,Identify how many number of custom applications need to be developed

• Security settings and problems

Hi there,
I need my new airport express set at WEP (because one computer in the house is old and cannot connect with a WPA). However, when I manually set my airport to WEP, I cannot connect other computers to the network. I tried no security--the same problem. When I tried the default WPA2, both my newer Macs connected just fine. However, the old PC cannot. Unfortunately, that old PC really does have to connect.
Any experience or advice? My old airport, which is three years old, was able to connect via WEP just fine.
Perhaps the new airports are simply not able to configure to a WEP security. Would that mean I'd have to return the airport and get a non-Mac router? <shudder>
Thank you.

Airport Express should support WEP. The fact that your computers can't access the wireless network when you have no security tells me that it isn't a WEP problem. I'm assuming you have configured your airport for settings you want to keep. If you back up this configuration, then reset the Airport, you should be able to access it through its default network. Assuming that you know how do do this (since you configured it in the first place) can your macs now see the Airport? If so, you have a configuration problem - or perhaps a corrupt configuration.
WEP configuration guidelines that might help can be found here:

I use Terminal.app regularly on Mac OS 10.5. It has a menu item in the application menu, Secure Keyboard Entry. Would there ever be any reason for _not_ choosing Secure Keyboard Entry?

Yes, there can be reasons to not enable that setting.

Hi,
Check your COD config.
I hope you are having 01,02, 03 and 07 as dep areas in your COD.
First set your COD with OAPL.
Use transactions OADB, and OADC.
in OADB give posting in GL as 1 for dep areas, for which you want to adopt values to GL. For other areas put 0 in posting to GL, and select real dep area for all the areas.
in OADC specify your dep area type for all the dep areas.
Now OABC and OABD.
Put proper settings for each dep area according to SPAIN country regulations.
Thanks,
Srinu

• Word wrap problems in 36.0

When entering text into a web form the text no longer "wraps" at the end of the box. The first part of the text runs off the left side. It is working fine in THIS text entry box but is now a problem on some other sites.
See: http://www.thedirectoryclassifieds.com. Start placing a listing and then start entering text into the description box. Once you reach the end of the line the text does not wrap, just runs off the left side as typing continues. After this testing, just exit (back out) without continuing placing the listing.
When encountering this problem I did a test on another computer that had 35.0.1 and word wrapping worked fine. Then I upgraded to 36.0 on that computer and now the problem is there too.
So this definitely means a problem with 36.0 as it wasn't there in earlier versions.

That particular form control has:
<textarea id="main_description" name="b[description]" '''style="white-space: pre;"''' class="editor field"></textarea>
For the first time in Firefox 36, the white-space property is being honored for textarea controls. So there's your trouble: "pre" means Firefox should emulate the preformatted tag, which requires manual line breaks.
It would be great if you can convince the site to change this to:
<textarea id="main_description" name="b[description]" '''style="white-space: pre-wrap;"''' class="editor field">
which is supported by all modern browsers (per the compatibility table here: [https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Web/CSS/white-space#Browser_compatibility]).
But that likely will take some time, so what is the best short-term workaround? I need to think about that a bit.
To manually hack this form control, you can right-click it and choose Inspect Element (Q). This should open the web console to the Inspector in the lower part of the tab. Firefox should highlight the HTML tag I listed first above, and on the right, show the style rules for it. Under "This Element" you can uncheck the box for that rule to have the textarea styled using default rules. But you would need to do this after each time you load the page, which is a hassle.

• Client Security Solution password problem

I have just had my computer reformatted to the factory settings. I wanted to avoid having to enter my password each time I logged in but, as has happened before, I forgot what the process was. Eventually I made my password blank and did something else (?) which meant that I wasn't asked for a password by Windows. Unfortunately Client Security Solutions now asks me to validate my identity ("Your Windows password was changed recently. Please enter your Windows password to synchronise with Client security Solution".)
I have just given myself a new Windows password and will see how it goes with Client Security Solution once I reboot. My basic aim is to bypass the Windows password screen.

Since my last message I have reset my Windows password. I no longer get the message from Client Security Solution, instead Windows tells me that I have entered the wrong password. All is OK if I then enter the new password.
Perhaps this query should be placed on a Windows forum? I have set Windows to bypass the password entry screen, so If it weren' for this problem I would never have to enter a password.

Hello,
I try to reproduce with WLST script the input from the consol to declare user on Access Control proxy (security).
sbconsol->$Proxy Service->Security->General Confiruration->Access Control->Transport Access Control->Add Conditions
* First implementation without success with the com.bea.wli.sb.security.management.configuration.ServiceSecurityConfigurationMBean : accessControlSecurity1()
* Second try with the service definition of the proxy service but cannot parse with Xpath accessControl Security2()
any idee ???

• Security word verification

No words show in the space when asked to verify. Help.

That's something I've not encountered before.
I'm not really a Mac specialist, but I'll give it a try until someone familiar with this answers it. (It really doesn't like you, does it.)
1. Click the little blue apple on the desktop top bar and a window will drop down. Click 'System Preferences'. Click 'Security'. Are any of the little boxes checked? Uncheck them.
2. When you set your browser's 'home page', did you set it to one that requires a password? You can try diagnosing the problem, and learn something of how your Mac works.
3. If your home page requires a password, open KeyChain, as below, and be sure your 'Access Control' has 'Confirm before allowing access' checked, and 'Always' is the answer in the Pop-up window. Otherwise, (by default) that website's password is never made available.
4. Try creating a new, non-administrator's account, take the default settings, and see whether it happens.
Password Philosophy
Your Mac is designed so you need remember only your login password (and you can bypass even that). Any tine a sneaky person a a cafe might cause some mischief, the Mac asks for a password. When you're about to modify you Mac in a way that will affect all accounts, it will ask you to confirm your Administrator's password (your login password on an administrator's account: the first account created is always an administrator's). When you request access to another computer, by logging into a network or a website, that computer will ask for a consistent password. Here, I like to choose random ones, if Keychain will memorize it. Very low security websites may permit cookies to memorize your password; while not as secure, I do this. Very high security websites, such as my bank, don't permit passwords to be memorized by my Mac. That's how it's supposed to work. You have 'harden' this security with the Security selections above.
Firefox Passwords
Safari and Firefox are not security risks. I create a Visitor's account, and let anyone use them. You can see what passwords Firefox has memorized by clicking Preferences > Security. Be sure 'Use a Master Password' is not clicked. Click 'Saved Passwords' to see whether you have any.
Safari Passwords
The safer passwords are in KeyChain, in your 'Utility' directory (or 'Applications, I can never remember'). Open it. Click 'Passwords'. If I click the top bar of 'Kind', to sort that column, I see only four 'application passwords'. None is Safari or Firefox. Do you?
Keychain I can use as follows. I thumb down the list of Web form passwords until I reach 'login.afterdawn.com'. After it is my login name. If I click it, a little window will pop-up. It tells me the exact http address of the website, my account name there (again), and permits comments about this website.
These are your password's 'attributes'. Because I, too, use two browsers (for security reasons), I might like to access this website from both. So, I click 'access control'. Only 'Confirm before allowing access' is checked. In principal, I can control my password's use in many ways; but I never learned how. When I ask to view my password, I enter my login password and click 'Once', so it will ask for it next time.
I could never understand the help menu here, so others must help you with variations on these standard settings.
Best of luck!
