Select albums wont sync on my new iPad

I recently purchased the new Kanye West on my ibook and when I tried to sync it to my iPad it says it's not allowed. The same happened with another iTunes purchased album earlier in the day.
Anyone know why or how to fix this?

I see no reason - on the surface anyway - why you could not sync a legally purchased album from your iTunes account onto your iPad from your iBook. What exactly is the message that you are getting when you try to sync?

  • Itunes 10.6.1.7 keeps crashing when syncing with the new Ipad

    Glad to find this forum!
It's been a disappointing and frustrating week for me as I have tried to sync my new ipad with itunes 10.6.1.7. Itunes keeps crashing without reasons when syncing either apps, music or videos. Btw, I am using Windows XP SP3.
So far, I have not been able to play any videos because Itunes always crashes.
I have tried to re-install Itunes for more than 5 times [with fresh install] but the problem still occurs. I have also tried to downgrade to Itunes 10.5.3 as suggested in the other threads but Itunes still crashes. This only happens when syncing with the new Ipad.
I have an Ipod Nano which works great on both version of Itunes.
I am really disappointed because I can't watch movies and/or listen to music on my new ipad because it keeps crashing.
My wish is just simple. I just want to be able to watch movies and listen to my music on my new ipad. Sadly, this is not possible yet.
    Can anyone help?

I get the exactly the same problem with win 7, i rang apple support who suggested i try another machine/or create another account on my machine???? why should i, stupid ipad 3rd gen is now sitting here un syncable, apple support ....tut tut very poor support, its a shame im out of the 7 day period otherwise this ipad would be going straight back, older versions of itunes worked fine, some one must know a fix for this??

  • How to load a Numbers folder on my iMac to iCloud so it can sync with my new iPad

How to load a Numbers folder on my iMac (os x Yosemite v 10.10.2) to iCloud so it can sync with my new iPad (8.2)

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
If you have Numbers installed on your iPad, first go to System Preferences -> iCloud, and make sure that iCloud Drive is enabled.
If so, open a Finder window and choose iCloud Drive in the left sidebar, so you will see a Numbers folder. Just open it and put your Numbers documents there, so they will be synced between your iMac and your iPad (providing that you already have Numbers on your Mac).

  • I am currently running OS X 10.5.8 on my MacBook (early 2008) and want to know if I can upgrade to a version that will allow me to use iCloud to sync with my new iPad?

I am currently running OS X 10.5.8 on my MacBook (early 2008) and want to know if I can upgrade to a version that will allow me to use iCloud to sync with my new iPad?

I believe to use iCloud you need to run at least Lion (10.7). (Only the Find My iPhone or Find My Mac parts of iCloud work with OS earlier than 10.7/Lion).
I think you can run Lion but you should check each of the following:
"To use Lion, make sure your computer has the following:
An Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
Mac OS X v10.6.6 or later to install via the Mac App Store (v10.6.8 recommended); you can install without Mac OS X v10.6 by using an OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive, available on the Apple Online Store
7 GB of available disk space
    2 GB of RAM
If your Mac does not meet these requirements, you will need to upgrade your Mac before installing Lion"
You have a Core 2 Duo. You can upgrade to 10.6 and then install Lion, or use the thumb drive approach mentioned above (thumb drive Lion costs about $70 I think). You need to check your RAM to see if you have enough.
Folks have reported that 4 GB RAM is really a minimum for a decent experience with Lion.
For Mountain Lion, see this ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5444 ) for what you need to have to install OS 10.8. I don't think you can use Mountain Lion (10.8) with your early 2008 Macbook.

  • How do I selectively sync apps to new iPad?

I just got my first iPad, so I'm a complete newbie with it.  I've downloaded a boatload of apps into iTunes (most free), but want to sync them to the iPad just a few at a time.  There are some I definitely want to keep, but I'm sure there are others I'll want to trash.  In any event, I want to try out just a few at a time.  So how can I select those I want on the iPad without loading them all onto it at once?  Drag-and-drop?
    Thanks in advance.

Connect your iPad with your Mac or Pc.
Yoe should find your iPad on the left row under devices.
    Click on it.
Now click on the Apps button you find top of the right screen.
All your downloaded and installed apps should appear in a list.
Now you can select or deselect them.
Hit the sync button you find down right and iTunes will install them on your iPad.

  • Help my apps wont work on my new ipad

I just synced my new ipad and my apps wont open. Help They seem stalled.

If all user-installed apps are not launching, it could be an Apple ID authorization issue. Download and install an app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information.(Any free app will do.)

  • My Ipod wont sync with my new library and I dont know why not. It will show that it is connected through home sharing, but it is only avalible when i am with my laptop! I dont know how to get this current library as mine on my ipod, help!

My ipod will not sync with my laptop. I have had previous Ipods in the past, but since then I have grown out of most of my music. Also about a year and a half ago I got a new laptop. I used the same Itunes name, but now on my new Ipod it has all of my old music and it refuses to download any of my new music. When I am using home sharing though, it says that I can turn on my "Library" but that my "music" is what is perminately on the computer. This only works though if I am near my laptop. When I try to transfer my library onto my ipod it wont let me. My music on my ipod is completely different than my normal itunes library on my computer and I have no idea how to transfer it. When I plug it in, it wont sync at all, or show that there is any device even plugged in. I am frustrated and tired of not having any  of my music, so someone please help!!!

You can only sync to one computer/iTunes library. To make this your syncing computer:

  • HT201269 How do I get my iPhone contacts synced to my new iPad?

I just got a new iPad. I have an iPhone with tons of phone numbers and contact information on it. How do I get those on my new iPad without having to type them all in?

    Go to
Settings>iCloud(make sure it's the same apple I'd as your iPhone)>sign in if not>click on for contacts
It should sync maybe not immediately, give it a minute or two.

  • My iTunes purchased movies will not sync to the New iPad(3) even though I have an HD version and an SD version. Are there specs somewhere for media files?

I have purchased a few movies in iTunes on the MacBook Pro and after dowloading, I am not able to sync them to my new iPad. I look at the contents of the download and I have an HD file and an SD file, I assumed it would sync the SD file automatically if it cannot handle the HD on the device (although it should be able to).
What are the different reasons a movie won't sync to iPad (frame rate, file size, definition, etc.) and what are the options to make these files compatable with my iPad? Can I rip them again or run them through a conversion utility? Is there a setting in iTunes somewhere I am missing?
Is there a post somewhere thatr already covers this? If so, I can't find it. Would be great to have a baseline of what can be handled by device so I can figure out how to make my media compatable.

the spcs page on this site state which video formats the ipad supports
I'd suggest converting your old videos to one of those formats
handbrake is a free program which does this for you
itunes used to be able to too when I right clicked incompatible media but don't see the option any more
or maybe it only show when one right click incompatible media and currently my lib don't have any
about the music then it's odd what formats are they?
if they are acc protected have you tried to remove the DRM this can be don using itunes as
apple don't use DRM for music any more

  • HT2729 Video syncing issues between new IPad and Macbook

I used my new IPad to film some videos for about three months. Today, I connected my IPad to my Macbook in an attempt to upload the IPad videos to my Macbook ITunes. Unfortunately, the IPad synced with my computer files, and all of my videos were erased off of my IPad. I cannot locate them anywhere on my computer. How can I recover these lost videos? Please help! Thanks!

Try this first.... Quit iTunes, restart the Mac, restart the iPad and then try again.

  • I have a problem, One of my music albums wont sync back to my ipod and suggestions?

i had the albums 'in waves' & 'shogun' - trivium, already on my ipod, but then when my friend gave me 3 other albums i synced the new albums on to my ipod, then that caused 'shogun' to lose its album art (and its a mad cover i might add) and so i though "well, i want the art back" so i deleted the album off my ipod, then i tried syning the album back on with the art, but it just want sync...it is driving me crazy!

    That's right.  You cannot.  Sorry.

  • HT1414 I recently purchased three movies but two of them will not sync with my new ipad.  What should I do?

I recently purchased three movies via ITunes on my computer.  I bought them to transfer to my new Ipad mini.  When I tried to sync them to the Ipad mini 1 worked and the other two did not.  How do I fix this without having to reset all the settings?

Check in iTunes on the "Movies" tab while your iPad is syncing and make sure you have the correct sync options checked.
Also, I assume you did in fact purchase (and not rent) the movies.  Rented movies have different rules - they can only be on one device at a time.

  • A large number of tracks did not sync to my new Ipad.

The tracks appeared greyed out in ITunes with a dotty circle beside them. (None of the tracks were downloaded but synced from my cds,) Only a small amount of the tracks appear in the new Ipad. What have I done wrong?
    tich

simply re add them to the new pad manually.  google your isp to confirm the e mail settings on the pad, then simply add the account to the mail app.  You want to recheck the details like incoming and outgoing server name as they change around sometimes.  You will need to remember your name and password to get it entered on the pad.
