Select option in Struts - problem

Hi,
I have a following problem. I have a collection of objects (TDOs) which I am displaying using <logic:iterate> tag. TDO contains property whose value is for example number 1 but instead I need to display some text value - for example "Some text for value 1".
Those values are located in "lookup table" in database therefore I can not add an additional method to my DTO just for diplaying (no way I am do any hardcoding) Is there a way do have some kind of lookup bean which would solve it? If you know how to do that, can you provide me with some example?

Selection OPTION: Date input problem in Module POOL through Subscreen

Dear ALL,
Being new to ABAP, I am struck in a Problem.
Requirement:
I want an option on the Screen( My Screen 9000) for Date Range. Through this Date-Range I want to filter and pull some data from
Database.
As Date Range Selection option is possible only through Sub-Screen integration. Hence I integrated a Sub-Screen 400 (as below) and named the Sub-Screen area as SEL on my screen.
Problem: As soon as I enter the dates on the screen, then those dates are not taken up by the code.
During debugging I saw the the S_datum-low and S_datum-high are empty (in fact 00000000)
The code follows:

About select option

Hi experts,
In my alv report there is one field SERNR serial number, for this i have to put select option. My problem is this field doesn't exist in the table(Zmanifest) from where i'm fetching data. So i'm not able to mention this select option in my select query for that particular table. This field is existing in EQUI table and have no relation defined between zmanifest table & EQUI.
In my internal table i have all fields of zmanifest & this sernr; to fulfill this field logic is
Serial Number is combination of P_PREFIX-(dash)P_SERIAL fields in zmanifest. I have fetch all data including SERNR by above logic at my grid; but facing problem in defining SELECT-OPTIONS for Sernr.
Please help.

do like this.
take the lenght of P_PREFIX
take the lenght of P_SERIAL
add the length.
for exmaple :
P_PREFIX size is 4.
P_SERIAL size is 10
now declare the variable like this.
data : v_selop(15).
Note : 4101 = 15, so i declared the variable with lenght of 15.
select-options : so_field for v_selop.
now use off-set in your select query like this:
where PREFIX = v_selop+0(4)
   and SERIAL = v_selop+5(10)
it will work if you are using variable v_selop as a parameter else if you are using select option you have to break v_selop into two different select option like this:
s_prefix type prefix,
s_serial type serial.
loop at v_selop.
s_prefix-* = v_selop-. "      ( = sign, option)
s_serial-* = v_selop-*.
s_prefix-low = v_selop-low+0(4).
s_serial-low = v_selop-low+5(10).

Select option in Dialog prog

Hi,
I'm developing a dialog programming. 1st screen is the selection screen, i need to code the input for Parameter -> Material number , Select-option -> Plant. Problem hits on select option Plant.
If we code via normal type 1 executable program, i just need code like -> Select-options: S_PLANT for mara-werks. Since right now im in dialog programming then i need to code my own LOW and HIGH value. I have done that. But i need to code in the Multiple selection/Extension button that next to HIGH.
Do u guys know is there any FM that helping to create Multiple selection/Extension button? Like standard once click on it, it contains single value, ranges, exclude single value, exclude ranges...

Essentially, the bare issue is that you have a 500GB hard drive with only 10GB free. That is not sufficient to run the system properly. The two options you have are to move/remove files to another location, or to install a larger hard drive (eg 2TB). Drive space has nothing to do with SMC firmware, and usually large media files are to blame.
My first recommendation is this: download and run the free OmniDiskSweeper. This will identify the exact size of all your folders - you can drill down into the subfolders and figure out where your largest culprits are. For example, you might find that your Pictures folder contains both an iPhoto Library and copies that you've brought in from a camera but are outside the iPhoto Library structure. Or perhaps you have a lot of purchased video content in iTunes.
If you find files that you KNOW you do not need, you can delete them. Don't delete them just because you have a backup, since if the backup fails, you will lose all your copies.
Don't worry about "cleaners" for now - they don't save much space and can actually cause problems. Deal with the large file situation first and see how you get on.
Let us know what you find out, and if you manage to get your space back.

Problem in select-options value request

Hi All,
I have one select-option s_opt for vendor description. I want to have value request for both s_opt-low and s_opt-high. For that i have to write the functonal module
at selection-screen on value-request for s_opt-low. and at selection-screen on value-request for s_opt-high. for both or any other procedure.
In s_opt using drop down menu user can enter vendor description up to 10 Char, lower or upper case acceptable, & Wild card .
Can any one help with code for the above two problems.

Select-options on selection-screen type char100 problem

Hi friends! I created on selection-screen a select-options:
SELECT-OPTIONS: zzcduc FOR equi-ZZCDUC.
The field equi-ZZCDUC is a CHAR100 field. The problem is when I run program, in this field user can't input more of 46 characters. This is a serial number with 100 characters, why I can input 100 characters?

Hi, this is copied from SELECT-OPTION documentation:
The LOW and HIGH fields of a selection option are displayed in a length up to 18 bytes long (scrollable up to 45 bytes). If you define a length longer than 45, fields are truncated on the selection screen after the 45th character. This affects the first line of the SELECT-OPTIONS table. You can, however, use SUBMIT to pass longer selection options to a report if they are specified with the addition NO-DISPLAY and thus do not appear on the selection screen. Without NO-DISPLAY, the fields are then truncated whenever the selection screen is processed in the background ( SUBMIT without VIA SELECTION-SCREEN).

Problem in Select Option Freely programmed F4 Help

Hi All,
I had a Component 'A' where i used select option. I used Freely programmed search help for the select option field.
If i click F4 in the select option field it will call one component in which i have one more select option in component B.
In component B select option field if i manually entering value and search and click apply values button the values are comming in the select option field in component A.
But if i pressing the F4 in Component B and search and click apply values the value are not comming in the Component 'A'.
If i open again component B and closing it without any action the value is coming in component A.
If i debugged and see the WDDOMODIFYVIEW of tHE WDR_SELECT_OPTION is not getting called for component A.In which it has Rendering delta method of CL_WDR_SELECT_OPTION.
Any idea about this.

i have read your post several time and i am still not able to get hold on your problem. Probably it is to do with your complex approach of nested select_option, i can not judge why you did this way. I would advice you to step back and see it for yourself
1)if it is need to have nested select_option
2)check component initialization and destroy
2)check event subscriptions

In stead of subscreen, try to do with screen itself.
Create screen like this.
selection-screen begin of screen 300.
selection-screen begin of block b1 with frame title text-000.
select-options : so_ebeln for v_ebeln modif id g1,
so_vbeln for v_vbeln modif id g2.
selection-screen end of block b1.
selection-screen end of screen 300.
Call this screen : in PAI of ur another screen.
call selection-screen 300.

but the client wants to use multiple document no.
in function module also i am passing only one import parameter (i.e. doc.no).

Table View MULTI SELECT option and Event handling problems

Hello All,
I am facing problem while giving miltselect option in a table view. When i mention multiselect attribute in Select option in table view, i am unable to select all the rows which i want to select,because i have an event onRowSelection event activated so when i select a row then it will automatically go to the event and i am unable to do multiple select.
Can you guys pl tell me is there any way thtat i can put check boxes in a table column and by that i can get values of row seelct and can perform my subsequent SQL operation.
Also i am not able to navigate in table view through BYPAGE or BYLINE option. When I click on navigate button then page got refreshed and i lost data.
One more query guys , can you pl tell me how can i store my internal table values from one event for the another event. I have used EXport/Import but internal table values get refreshed as page got refreshed on event switching/selection.

as i told you my second solution, will help you . the values remain in the corresponding UI elements.
For example , you have a drop down and table view. both will trigger events. bind the data of the table at drop down event and bind the dat of the drop down at table event.

This is how data should be binded in case of Stateless application. All the UI elemets must b binded again.. as the global data is refresed again.

Problem with Multiple selection option

Hi all,
I am working on a report, when I execute the report and the selection screen comes up, there I need to enter 5 different employee name so I am trying to use "multiple selection" option but as soon as I hit that "Yellow arrow" in front of employee name field .. I saw the output first and when I go one screen back I get that screen where I can enter the names. So can you please help me with this.

Problem with select option in module pool

Hello friends,
I have successfully created a select option in my module using sub-screen. My problem is the EXTENSION buttom in the select option. When i click on the EXTENSION button a proper pop-up appears but when i input some values or cancel this pop-up then the program gives the following dump.
Error
The attribute screen type with the values 'Normal Screen' and
'Subscreen' determines the use of the screen. If a normal screen is used
as subscreen or vice versa, an error occurs.
The screen "ZRPMSEA" 0002 has, in this respect, an inappropriate screen type.

Go to the Screen Attributes and select the appropriate Radio Button
1) Normal Screen " Whichever is required (in Which type of Screen you Want)
2) Subscreen " Check for the Correct type and Check the Radio Button Accordingly
3) Modal Scree
