Please review the following that I excerpted from an older post here regarding Adobe's PRE_help comments about Hollywood Effect and mention of
Red Noir. Does any of the following apply to any of what is happening to you.
- Whenever I try to add an effect from the Hollywood Looks menu, it brings up a warning that all my previous effects on that clip will be deleted. However it will let me add those same effects *after* applying Hollywood Looks.
This is because of how the Hollywood Looks are designed to be used. Since these are effect presets (multiple effects in combination) that result in a specific "look"; they are best applied in isolation. If any previous effect is applied and we still allow a Hollywood effect to be applied, we will not be able to see what the effect does clearly. For e.g. if you already have a Gaussian Blur effect applied to your clip, and then we allow you to apply the "Red Noir" Hollywood effect, the fact that the "Reds" in the scenes will be highlighted and the others converted to B/W will not be clearly seen since the content is already blurred out. So any previously applied effects was designed to be removed. This holds good even if you apply a Hollywood look "on top of" another one. The previous one will be replaced. Having said that, you can customize the look further by either tweaking an already applied filter or by adding a newer effect on top. That is the reason you can apply an effect on top of the Hollywood Effects and not vice versa.
Please review and consider and then we can proceed from there if necessary.

It would appear that you are destined for the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum since your question is related to Photoshop Elements and not Premiere Elements which is the focus program where you have posted.
But, while the arrangements are being made, here are a few things for you to think about if you have not already
1. Reset Tools - Select Brush Tool, then
2. Delete Settings File
Go to Full Editor/Edit Menu/Preferences/General and click on the option "Reset Preferences on Next Launch".

Have no idea what you mean by "reset compny setting." There is no such function in iPhones. Do you mean "Erase All Data and Settings", Restore in iTunes as new (no backup), or something else? How did you do anything with the phone if it "will not start"??

I have transferred music to new computer and trying to set up playlists and will not let me drag and drop

I have transferred my music from old iPods to a new computer. I am trying to set up new playlists and it will not let me drag and drop. I have also tried clicking on song and does not give me option to Add to Playlist. Do you have any suggestions?

The first time you set up the iPad you must do it by connecting the iPad to a computer, which needs to be running the latest version of iTunes, using the provided USB cable that came with it. It cannot be done wirelessly initially.

Time Capsule set up OK but will not print.

Time capsule originally set up with print cable to iMac. Now, I've moved print cable to Time Capsule, but cannot find way to get it to print. What is required to get Time Capsule to print with the print cable hooked up to the Time Capsule USB port?

I had this problem with my Time Machine drive very recently. I wasn't using a Time Capsule but it sounds exactly like my problem.
Time Machine would backup to my external drive with no problems but every time I wanted to go into the program, it would freeze. It would be fine in the current time, (when you first enter Time Machine) but if I tried to go back in time, the animation would happen, but I wouldn't be able to click on anything in the finder Window. The only way to get out of it was, as you said, to press Apple, Option and Escape.
The way I solved this was to use Disk Utility on my external drive. I had tried before but when I clicked on verify or repair disk it just sat there for ages doing nothing. What you need to do is select the Time Capsule drive in Disk Utility and then do a repair on it.
Warning though, it will take about an hour to complete. It took probably about 20 minutes for mine to even start repairing. But it does work, I did it on mine and now Time Machine is fully working again.

Pay bill on the phone but it will not except payment?

I have been paying my bill via phone since 2011 and now it won't accept my check. The same one that they have in their system since 2011. I have been past around and past around by customer services. I have done everything they have said two times over. The check keeps getting rejected as account not located. I have been to my bank three time and they wrote a letter saying my account is fine and I faxed it to Verizon, but I keep getting told it's not there problem. They had me call their check cashing company, Certigy, to see if the issue is with them. Seems to me Verizon is going through this company Verizon should deal with them. Certigy said there wasn't anything wrong with my checks. Verizon still didn't believe me so Verizon put us on a conference call with Certigy so they could hear it themselves. This has been going on since last Wednesday and I just don't know what to do anymore. The Financial Service manager was totally rude and all he wanted was another form of payment and in no way trying to fix the problem. I don't understand why the check was fine all the months before and now there system is saying it doesn't exists? I don't understand why I'm being treated like I'm the bad guy when all I wanted to do is pay my bill from the same account I always do. I'm told to get a debit card or charge card to make the payment and they pretty much told me it was my problem and would not investigate their end of the problem with there system rejecting payment on a good long standing account. I had to have a friend make the payment and pay him by the same checking account that Verizon says doesn't exists. How do I get someone to fix this????

First I would like to thank you for responding to my post. The message the get back is the can't locate the account. This is the same checking account I have used on the phone with Verizon since 2011. I have contact my bank three times and they say there is no issue. The bank (TCF) even wrote me a leter so I could fax into Verizon as proof there is nothing wrong with my account. I have paid by phone to my charge card company, gas company and car insurance with no problem. Verizon just transfers me from person to person. They all re-enter the acct numbers and get the same results. I work in payroll amd I'm familiar with how EFT works. I beleive someone triggered something in your system to make my checking a saving acct, which it isn't. I dont know how to get Verizon to dig deeper into fixing this. I don't know how to make a private message yet but I will try to figure it out and give the information reqested. Thank you again.

Another user who can't get this thing started, Listener will not operate!!!

I installed from root, used port 8085 for the database (8080 used by Tomcat) and 1521 for the listener. Logged out, log back in as user oracle. Takes three full minutes to "start" the listener, but netstat -a does not show any listener on port 1521, despite listener startup saying "Command successful". Starting database, then 'lsnrctl status' returns the following:

All firewalls are completly disabled, except for my router which has ports 8085 and 1521 open. So, 1) Where is the listing for the listening in netstat -a? and 2) Why are my database services blocked? I've been trying for a week to get this thing started, I need it for work. I can log in to the database through SqlPlus, so it is there and running fine, but the listener is not working, and I cannot get to the database home page.

Checked the listener log. Doesn't look good. Keep saying host or object does not exist!!

Firefox audio will loose device on a setting change. Process will not end on exit.

I will be listening to music on Firefox and then decide to change a bass enhancement setting via Windows sound.
The sound will cut out and required a full Firefox restart to come back. However, when I exit Firefox the process doesn't close and I have to end it manually via task manager.

My mail account is set up correctly but will not receive or send email?

My outlook email account works fine and it has automatically synchronised the set up / account information to my iphone 4s via itunes when syncing. However I cannot receive or send emails! Anyone know of the reason for this?

Do not attempt to sync email accounts. Security features hardly ever allow this to work without any edditing. Contact your email provider to find out the settings and servers they are using for mobile devices and then remove the existing account from settings, mail contacts calendars and create a new acccount there. After the setup is finished check all the settings of the crated acccount to ensure all sections are populated with information. Especialöly it might be neccessary to fill some fields in the smtp primary ßerver settings that are rated as optional.

my itouch has started asking for pass codes i did not set. i have used the same 4 digit pass code for many years. i was attempting to update to iso 7 when i went to reset the device i was prompted for the code. i tried my standard 4 dig. number. also my restriction setting is on also asking for a pass code. I have never used restriction setting EVER. i dont lock my device i dont sign out of mail. worry? no nothing to hide. it agrivates me that i learned that certain apps ive downloaded may be changing my settings and accessing information without my knowing. i dont mind the info leave my settings alone.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.
