Selecting browse in bridge in photoshop 2014 launches CC applet, what is happening?
I have updated my system with the new Creative Cloud Application (Lightroom 5.5, Photoshop 2014 and latest Bridge) Now I am getting all sorts of errors.
At first I could use Edit in Photoshop 2014 command in Lightroom and the image would open in Photoshop, however after doing a few edits neither save or save as would work - all I got was a long involved error message. After a bit of investigation I removed Lightroom from the system and re-installed using the CC applet. Now when I try to Edit in Photoshop 2014 Photoshop 2014 opens but the picture I want to edit has not passed accross ata all.
I then had a try at using Bridge. I selected Browse in Bridge from Photoshop 2014 and instead of Bridge I got the Adobe CC Applet pop up offering to update Bridge (which was up to date anyway) and warning me about loosing settings if I did. I updated Bridge and then updates for Lightroom and Photoshop 2014 were offered which I installed. These have not made a blind bit of difference I still can't pass pictures from Lightroom to Photoshop and still can't open Bridge from Photoshop - it's still opening the CC applet.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

The answer seems to be to uninstall the Adobe CC applet and then re-install it again (while I was doing that I re-installed Photoshop 2014). All is working correctly now.

Hey community! I found a few similar posts, but couldn't find much of a resolution.
Last night I was working in PS CC 2014 and all was well. Used Browse from Bridge in PS. Everything is working fine all night long. Get up this morning, return to work, click browse in Bridge, and Creative Cloud desktop client pops up and says something about installing a new version of Bridge and will get rid of my old version. The first time I just though it was an update, so I said sure, install the new version. Then, CC wanted to update a few other apps (PS being one of them), so I closed down everything, and let it update everything while I got a cup of coffee. Came back and it looked like everything was finished updating. So I went back to work. Same thing happens again when I click browse in Bridge. I tried going directly to Bridge's launch icon and THAT at least opened the application. It was still open to the same folder I had been using the night before. I double-clicked on the PSD I was supposed to be working on, and then Illustrator pops up and is trying to open the PSD.
***Ok, so I fixed the association problem with Illustrator trying to open the PSD. I uninstalled my older version of PS CC last night after I was done working, which apparently broke the "file associations" in Windows. I just had to go tell Windows to open PSD files with PS CC 2014 (even though 2014 has been installed since it's release and that's all I've been using)***
Still can't get around the Browse in Bridge issue. It is not a real big deal TO ME where I click to open Bridge, but it does seem like a bug that needs fixing.

Importing selected files from Bridge into Photoshop stack?
Hi Guys,
Is it possible to run the "Load files into Stack" script from Bridge having selected your files in Bridge itself. There are work arounds but if this script can be run in this way it would save me alot of time.
Not sure if the script can be dropped into the a Bridge sub folder or whether or not Bridge can read jsx files? I do seem possible in the fact that some Photoshop scripts can be ran from Bridge but to my knowledge these are not jsx files.
Basically I just need that to run exactly the same way but be launched from Bridge into Photoshop with those selected files
Any help would be very appreciated.
Many thanks.I am not exactly sure what you are asking, but I know you can create stacks in Bridge by simply selecting the desired files and pressing ctrl G on the PC (command G on MAC?) I believe there is a forum dedicated to Bridge scripting. You might have better luck there.

Hai there. i am having a trouble with the garage band apple loops to get into my macbook pro. . i had it some time back and i dont know where it has gone and how it get it back. is there anyone to help me to get the loops back into the browser . i will be grateful to you if some one can help me with it/ thanks.
First check, if you do not accidentally have hidden or filtered your loops:
Uncheck the "Filter for more relevant results" option in the Audio tab of the GarageBand Preferences.
And the drop down menu on top of the Loop Browser should be set to "Loops", not to some Jam Pack or other collection.
If you still don't see any loops, check if you have set your project to a special signature, like 9/8, for that no standard loops do exist.
Then check, if any loops actually are installed in your system Library: Depending on your GarageBand version you should find the standard loops in the Audio folder of your system Library (Application Support > GarageBand):
Your System Drive > Library > Audio > Apple Loops
If the Loops are installed, but GarageBand does not show them, you need to rebuild your Apple Loops Index: See the FAQ for how to do it:
Re-Index GarageBand's Loops
This requires two steps:
erase the old Apple Loops Index by deleting everything in
Your System Drive > Library > Audio > Apple Loops Index
and then rebuilding the Loops Index by dragging the folder containing all of your loops onto the Loop Browser in GarageBand.
If no Loops are installed in your Library, you will have to restore them from your Backup.

Trying to open Adobe Bridge from Photoshop CC 2014 will launch Creative Cloud
As written in the subject, I have the problem that Bridge doesn't start anymore since updating to Photoshop CC 2014.
Instead the creative Cloud desktop application is launched and tries to reinstall Bridge CC (although it is already installed)
All old Bridge version were uninstalled without result.I have the same issue when trying to Browse in Bridge from Photoshop CC 2014. Camera Raw 8.6 launch error in Photoshop 2014.2
Hi. After updating Photoshop to version 2014.2 I have a problem with launching Camera Raw plugin. When I try to open raw file there is said:
could not complete your request because of a disk error
Camera Raw doesn't launch not from Photoshop, nor from Bridge.

How can I fix it?
And also there's another problem with Adobe Bridge, no way to open JPEG files in Photoshop by default. Before updating to PS2014 - it was always possible to choose program to open any kind of file from Bridge. Now there's only Open button (no Open with) [right click menu], and by default it opens files in Windows picture viewer, not in Photoshop as before. So now to open JPEG in PS I have to drag file from Bridge to Photoshop window. Not really comfortable. Is that a problem of settings? (i haven't found way to fix it in settings), or a program bug?

Because that's when the freaking error in your freaking system surfaced and corrupted your OS install in your freaking main account!
That's exactly what I predicted and told you, problems with your OS, i.e. the main account.
Geeze… some people just come to here to argue rather than to hear what their problem may be.
I can guarantee you that you will have OS issues again until you repair your disk and/or your OS. If your HD is over two years old, it's time to replace it, given its symptoms.

Bridge not opening when doing a browse in bridge from Photoshop cc 2014.. Bridge opens fine on its own..
Again, thanks for the quick answer but in searching around the web I found someone respond that it looked like a issue that would go away with an uninstall and reinstall of PS CC 2014. I did that and rebooted my PC and the round trip now works. I am guessing that the problem was caused when the new version was added without the 2 earlier versions being removed. When I remeoved the older 2 versions, I expect the link was scrambled. Now all is ok.

Question: Could anyone tell me - in a straight forward manner - why/how/where/ "Output" is missing from Adobe Bridge CC (to send selected images from Bridge to Photoshop CC into a single document with various layers? I opened Bridge CS6 and see it there - but it is not in Bridge CC.
I want to know WHY first. Then I want to know how - in language that even a person who is not a computer guru, can follow. I just use Photoshop for my digital art so cannot easily follow technical terms. Please understand.
Can anyone help?YES: I copied the Adobe Output Module folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\CommonFiles\Adobe\Bridge CC Extensions.
YES: The Bridge CC Extensions folder did exist, but there was no Workspaces folder within it.
YES: I created a folder called Workspaces with the Bridge CC Extensions folder and then copied the file AdobeOutputModule.workspace to it.
YES: I did the two troubleshooting steps listed at the bottom of installation instruction document.
YES: All of this is trued.
YES: When I went to Window>Workspace in Bridge, Output was not on the list.
YES: I already did the resetting of Bridge.
It was NOT there. So I called Adobe support. After waiting on hold the first time for 1 hour and 12 minutes I got someone who after hearing problem, hung up on me. Tried Chat twice - same thing. Called Adobe support again and believe it or not actually got a Bridge technical support person. The reason Output never made it was because one must install in BOTH Programs folders - x86 and in Programs. The wonderful technician, (Sheba H.) was the first person at Adobe to tell me that and to agree with me that the download instructions did NOT make that clear at all but instead, in option 2 gives you 3 choices. 1st is Windows 64-bit, 2nd is Windows 32-bit and 3rd is Mac OS. She also provided me with the simple and exact fix for the 2nd problem I had which no one else had even answered - having the option "Tools" > "Photoshop" > "Load Files Into Photoshop Layers" installed.

I recently installed all the of CC 2014 applications and noticed that in Photoshop CC 2014, when I choose the "Browse in Bridge" menu option it doesn't launch Bridge at all. Instead it opens the Creative Cloud desktop application window instead. I have the latest version of Bridge installed as well. If I have Bridge running, the menu option also just opens the CC window and doesn't bring Bridge to the front either. I have PS installed on both a Mac (10.9.3) and Windows (8.1) and the behaviour is the same.
I only Run windows and my install of CC 2014 works correctly and launches Bridge CC. Bridge CC was also updated to launch CC 2014 and not CC 14.2.1.

Why don't Browse in Bridge command in photoshop cc 2014 work?
Browse in Bridge command in photoshop cc 2014 does not work ( It can not open Bridge program why? )
Okay here's excactly what I did. I opened a picture (JPG) and made a new layer from the background (Layer 0).
Next, I selected an area in the picture using the magnetic lasso tool.
Then, I clicked effects (FX) in the Layers window and made sure the correct layer was selected. I proceeded to add an Outer Glow. I increased the opacity to 100% for good measure.
When I clicked Ok to close the the layer styles window, the Layers window in the bottom right said that I have "Effects > Outer Glow" under "Layer 0" but the picture remained totally unchanged.
Photoshop tells me that a layer style should be there but nothing is there. Also, I used to do this exact method and it used to work fine; now, for some reason it's giving me a hard time. -

a common reason for this happening in CC 2014, is that you might have uninstalled Photoshop CC. If that's so, you need to reinstall Photoshop CC.

Mountain lion update will not go away
