Selecting textframe and text inside with 3 clicks

This was possible in InDesign-Versions previous to InDesign CC. Now, if I double-click a textframe i have to wait 1 second, then i'm able to select text with another double click.
That is very annoying and disturbs my working process. Is someone else facing this issue?
The answer from the Adobe LiveChat-Support was "we have something changed" and questions in the kind of "First: Have you already turned your machine on?".
Friendly as they are the gave me an mysterious adress to a cave somewhere in US, where I can dig for further answers. Fine.

Sorry, that is not my point, changing settings as you propose doesn't solve my problem.
This triple click is meant if the cursor is already blinking in the selected textframe.
@Peter Spier: I change nothing in my prefs. Thats how it works since I installed InDesign CC without any changes.
No matter how often I click once - InDesign CC does not select text. I have to wait one second and then I have to double click, or triple click to select a word or a line.
I older versions it was possible just to click three times and text was selected - without switchen first to the text-tool.
I work very fast on an InDesign-Document, often image-frames and text-frames step by step. So it slows me down if I have to wait one second so I'm able to select text...
I try this explanation, so you can reproduce the error:
1. create a text frame and enter some text
2. Switch from text-tool to the selection-tool (Key "V" or Escape-Key)
3. Click several times (i mean 10 times and more) fast on a word in the textframe. You will see that in InDesign CC no text will be selected. You have to wait 1 second, then the text-tool will be activated and then you are able to select text. I previous InDesign versions after 3 clicks there was text selected - without selecting first the text-tool.
Understand my problem? In a fast workflow it is unacceptable to wait 1 second because of a UI-Bug...

Access Web Database - Select record and make report with all associated records

Hey everyone,
Right now I'm in the middle of trying to convert an Access client database to be web compatible and I'm running into some problems. For this question, I think I may need to explain a little bit about the database:
The database I'm making is designed to store information about music rights for different songs. The users can input information about writers, producers, organizations, properties, businesses - which is stored all in different related tables. Then, when a
user inputs a song, they choose which writers, produces, organizations, etc. are affiliated with that song.
What I'm trying to do is make a report where you can choose a writer from the list of all the writers and then produce a report with all of the songs by that writer.
I was able to do this in the Access client by making a report that, when opened would trigger (using the On Open event) a form to open where you would choose a writer from a combo box and then click a button. When the button was clicked, it would use the value
in the combo box in a query, which would find all of the songs by that writer and then open up the report which would have the writer and all of their songs on it.
Because web reports don't have many event options and web queries are very limited, I have not found a way to make this report.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Create a Behavior for Calendar in a WPF UserControl to Select and Unselect dates with one click

Hi to everyone,
I am developing an application with a WPF Client. This Client use the MVVM pattern.
In an UserControl the application must show some Calendars, so the user can select one or multiple dates.
For that use, I should implement some behavior that allows the user click once in a date and that date is selected (what already exists in .NET Framework) and with another click in the same date, that date is now unselected.
I've already made some searches and can't find anything useful.
This kind of behavior it is possible to implement in the Calendar Control? How exactly I do this?

You should be able to accomplish this by modifying the default template of the CalendarDayButtonStyle of the Calendar and handling the PreviewMouseLeftButtonDown of the Grid in the default template. Here is an example:

Key and text replaced with "???" in variable selection after SPS Upgrade

I have a problem regarding the variable screen.
We recently upgraded to SAPKW70021 and SP19 in Java. After this a problem appeared in web reporting and variable selection. When users are prompted to enter a value for fiscal year for example, the input help displays "???" instead of years. When you choose an "???" randomly from the list and add to your selection, the year is displayed correctly. The same issue is present with company code selection and other user input variables as well, the selection list is filled with "???" for both key and text.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Note 1368055 describes this issue. You need to implement the mentioned java patch for the BI components and set the parameter mentioned in the note to solve this issue.

Sql Query to replace the square bracket and the whole text inside with a single charecter

Hi All,
I have a question.
I am using Sql Server 2012.
I have a situation where i need to replace the entire text and the square bracket with a single charecter.
Eg:->
I have atext san[123456dd]text
i just wanted to replace all teh text inside the sqaure bracket to another charecter say 'X'
My end result should be sanXtext.
Could anyone help me regarding this?

Read Only Display of Radio group and Text area with counter not working

Hello,
I am using Apex 3.2, with 10g for the database
I have this form, with fields that will set to read only when status = 'closed'
All of the fields display as read only except for 2. I cannot figure out why this is not working correctly.
1st field is Issues that is a text area with character counter, with a sql query behind it, that is set to null unless the query is pulling in the data.
2nd field is Status which is a radio group that will not display as read only when status = 'closed'
I have other fields on the form with the same format and they change to read only when the status = 'closed', I have even copied the pl/sql expression from one field to these fields and it still doesn't work correctly. I have also tried javascript for an on load event, which works, but once I click on the save button, it disables all of the page items, which works correctly, but I purposely forget to enter information, to make sure the validations are firing correctly, which it does, but the script disables everything, not allowing me to correct the errors. The javascript is firing on the on page load event.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

That API seems to have a bug, it returns true/false/null, so you could use 'return not nvl(htmldb_util.current_user_in_group(p_group_name => 'APP Admin'),false)' to get a false value.
Unfortunately there's another problem: using the read-only attributes for checkbox or radiogroup item makes them hidden. My suggestion would be to create another item that has disabled="disabled" in the HTML Form Element attribute in the item definition and display that item or the non-disabled item alternately, using conditions based on the current_user_in_group logic.

SAP query field selection order and text

In SQ01 enter your query name and go into change mode, on the menu click "Goto" , "Field Selection" then "Field Selection"
in there change the text of selection field, to change to ordering just enter the number sequence in the "No" the order in which you want them to appear. Like

Why I cannot copy/paste any web links and texts? With Internet Explorer its possible, but with Firefox not.

When someone sends me a link in MSN and I try to copy it to the adress bar, it wount happen. Same is with textes in Firefox.

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".

You can find the connection setting here: Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy
Another possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that,.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

Photoshop CS6 selection, shape, and text is causing colored artifacts on screen

The Photoshop CS6 (13.0.4) selection, text, and shape tool causes colored artifacts on screen. I'm running on a retina Macbook Pro updated to the latest ML release. I have disabled GPU acceleration. I have also tried starting Photoshop with no plugins but this does not help.

SOLVED. After two days of intense debugging I've identified the issue as an interaction between the ICC color profile, integrated GPU, and Photoshop. The ICC profile was created with an i1Display Pro using the i1Profiler software. The issue occurs when you create the color profile using the LUT setting. Creating a profile using the matrix setting seems to be ok. In summary, these are the specific conditions that cause the issue (for me):
1) Using a color profile created with the LUT setting with i1Profiler and i1Display Pro
2) Using the integrated GPU (discrete GPU is disabled in Photoshop Performance setting)
3) Running on Photoshop 13.0.4 (13.0+ all have the issue) on a 15" Macbook Pro with Retina display
Creating a new profile with the matrix setting OR enabling the discrete Nvidia GPU will also make the artifacts go away. The integrated GPU using the LUT based color profile does not seem to have any artifacts in any other photography and video editing software that I've tried so Photoshop is playing a role. The nature of the artifacts also change from Photoshop version 13.0 to 13.0.4. For example, in Photoshop 13.0 the Marquee Tool has no issues while 13.0.1+ has artifacts.

I use an iMac (27" 3.4) and have problems with the Magic Mouse. It does not use contact, but opens useless and unrelated submenus with every click, even on the empty desktop. I can't shift, open or close pages. Has anyone out there the same problem?

I use an iMac 27" (mid 2011). Until recently I had OSX 10.6.8 installed, but both, the HDD and SSD had to be replaced, and I lost all the memory.
After the repair through Apple Care I had OSX 10.7.5. (Lion) installed, which developed a Magic Mouse problem.
Unlike with most users, I have no problems with connection, but grapple with a different kind of erratic behaviour.
All fancy stuff is turned off in the mouse preferences. When I try to move, open or close pages, unrelated submenus pop up and hinder the
required task. No matter how often I click, these menus stay there, and they even come up when clicking on the bare desktop.
It renders the mouse absolutely useless, as no work can be done with it.
The first 'Magic Mouse' had depleted batteries every few days, despite switching it off after use.
I was supplied a new Mouse, which does better battery-wise, but the problems are the same. I can't get a result by clicking on any link, due to
the pop-up menus, so both 'Magic Mice' are totally useless.
At present I am using the old USB mouse from my Mac Pro, and that works still o.k.
The problem are not the mice, but the software. The first 2 weeks after installation of OSX 10.7.5 the Magic Mouse worked though.
I have no idea as to what the reason may be.
Has anyone in the community ever experienced that particular problem. Any hint would be welcomed.

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

Select Max and ResultSet Problem With Access

The following code is producing a 'null pointer excepetion' error and I know why it is occurring I just do not know how to fix the problem.
Basically I want to automitically generate a unique ID that is one number higher than the max ID (data is stored within an Access database). The ID field is made up of first and last initial taken from parsing previous login info ('JS-01', 'JS-02', ect.). If there are no IDs in the database that match your login info I want to set the new ID equal to 'JS-01' if your login is 'James Smith' for example.
The problem is explained within the code below.

Because this an Access database I cannot use any null exception functions such as NVL or COALESCE which are specific to Oracle and SQL Server I beleive.

The max() will return a result set, even if the max value is null.
You should check to see if iID is null.

Left clicking mouse acts as if I'm right clicking, and comes up with right click menu?

Hi I was wondering whether anyone could help me with this, I've had this problem for a week or so now and it's beginning to get frustrating.
I have a newish iMac, bought in January, and I've been having this problem the last week or so, where when I left click something, it acts as if I am right clicking it and it comes up with the right click menu. I has happened mostly while on the internet (chrome), but also when I'm just on my desktop, but less often.
It only happens every so often, and rights itself after a couple of minutes. What could be causing this, and how do I stop it?
This is my first ever post on here, so I do apologise if I have been vague or I have posted this question in the wrong section, I am also new to macs (well since January).
The mouse I am using is a dell wired mouse, a couple of years old, which I just plugged in without the need of installing software etc.

Go to System Preferences > Mouse, change the Primary button to the Right button... does the Right button ever do that now as the left button?

I need to select a column from a table where if it is of length=16 or less, I will output with '0' behind the string to a total of 19 chars fixed.
Eg. the column contains '1122334455', i will output as '1122334455000000000'

Hi,
Using a predicate to test the length of your string (where your_col <= 16) might give you problems selecting the data.
It is genarally best to put code which alters the presentation of the data in the select list if you can, so the following is more flexible and doesn't impact the rest of your query.
