Selection rule for work schedule

Hi experts ,
Anyone know the meaning of the selection rule ?

Why there is blank in front ? and some blank in between ?

btw, you should check factory Holiday calendar (Tcode: SCAL) and generate Work schedule for year.
IMG: Time Management -> Work Schedules -> Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules -> Generate Work Schedules in Batch

  • Group Personnel Subarea for Work Schedule

    Hi All,
    I am learning SAP HCM ECC 6.0 at the moment, I have created Personnel Area, Personnel Subarea however when I am trying to u201CGroup Personnel Subarea for Work Scheduleu201D the newly created Personnel Areas and Personnel Subarea are not appearing the list to group them for work schedule.
    No such problem persist while Defining employee subgroup under work schedule rules and work schedule in IMG.
    Experts could you please suggest me the solution to this problem? Is there any integration missing?

    The problem is been resolved by editing in Table "V_T500P" (Country grouping), now newly created PAs and PSAs are appearing in the list and I can "Group personnel subarea for work schedule"
    I did the the basic configuration of PAs, PSAs, EG, ESG and I assigned them to company code however PAs and PSAs were not appearing in the list to group them for Work Schedule. The problem is been resolved now by editing in Table.

    After, when we set Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules. Do we need create the same number of rules?
    For instance, in Period Work Schedule, do we need create 12 rules like TTLM_1, TTLM_2, ... TTLM_12?
    Or is enough create only one rule for TTLM?

    Yes, s and it specifies the time needed to process the material in the operations at the different work centers.
    The GR processing time depends on the order quantity.
    The GR processing time is required to calculate the lot size dependent in-house production time. The system then uses the in-house production time to determine the planned dates for planned orders in materials planning.
    You can define work scheduling times in the material master record in one of two ways.
    Either you enter the in-house production time. If required, you can get the system to update this value from the routing.
    Or you enter the setup, teardown, processing, and interoperation times. If you maintain these values, the system determines the in-house production time on the basis of lot size.

    A Shift timings 06 am to 15.00 Hrs and Sunday holiday
    B Shift timings 15:00 to 23 Hrs and Monday holiday

    I have created break Schedule and work schedule rules and
    I want to assign rule variants for the above work schedules.
    This is for Indian scenario.

    What exactly you are looking for rule variant coz variant is for a rule which assists to define few custom process like reduced working hours, conditions on current day holiday class next day holiday class and weekday.
    Please brief the requirement.

    Dear all SAP HR Expert,
    We have question regarding time evaluation.
    Our scenario is:
    Shift 1 00:00 - 07:00
    Shift 2 07:00 - 16:00
    Shift 3 16:00 - 24:00
    His work schedule:
    06.08.2010: Shift 2
    07.08.2010: Day Off (Free)
    08.08.2010: Shift 1
    09.08.2010: Shift 1
    10.08.2010: Shift 1, but he took one day annual leave on this day
    Actual data (in IT2011 and IT2001):
    clock in 06:30 of 06.08.2010
    clock out 16:30 of 06.08.2010
    clock in 23:30 of 07.08.2010 (come earlier)
    clock out 07:30 of 08.08.2010
    clock in 00:35 of 09.08.2010 (late)
    clock out 07:15 of 09.08.2010
    leave record: start date: 10.08.2010, edn date: 10.08.2010
    Base on SAP documentation that said we can never assign a time event before midnight to the next day, we have rearranged SAP configuration (DWS and PWS) to:
    DWS:
    Shift 1: 23:59 - 06:59 with tolerance 23:59 - 00:00 and 06:59 - 07:00
    PWS:
    For Shift 1, always set 1 day earlier than actual schedule.
    Thus, work schedule rule will indicate:
    06.08.2010: Shift 2
    07.08.2010: Shift 1 23:59 - 06:59
    08.08.2010: Shift 1 23:59 - 06:59
    09.08.2010: Shift 1 23:59 - 06:59
    It works!!
    Our problem is, time eval can not find clock in - clock out record for date 09.08.2010 (because record in IT2011 with date 09.08.2010 belongs to 08.08.2010) and can not match it with leave record (because leave data has start date 10.08.2010).
    Thus, time eval will generate warning message "Employee not at work".
    I hope you can give me input on how to solve this problem.

    I want to create a work schedule with PSG grouping for workschedule as 70, I have tried to copy an existing-  none are available under the same grouping.
    I have tried using the create button though is creates a dws with grouping as 00, which shows as a non editable field.
    please advise on the issue

  • Mimic SAP Tcode PT03 output screen for work schedule

    I have a requirement to create a web dynpro java application which can mimic standard SAP transaction "PT03" output screen.
    i.e. View employee work Schedules..
    Now I do not have any Calender UI element which I can use.
    What could be best approach going forward.
    Please note that creating an IAC iview or SAP Transaction Iview is already out of scope for us because of client constraints...
    Please manage some time to look into this HCM transaction PT03 and advice me how can I mimic this in web dynpro.
    I am concerned about the "View Work Schedule" screen which has a calender type display where information about employee is getting displayed in individual cell of calender.

    or there is some webdynpro calender API also...!!
    Well the whole scenario has to work as below...
    1. User will fill in some input form from portal (Web Dynpro java view)
    2. Clicks on submit button...
    3. Webdynpro java application calls an RFC....
    4. Output is rendered in calender format .....or any other format......which is informative enough to user.
    I am not using CE....

    Hi Guys,
    I want to create a selection screen which appears when a user schedules an infopackage so that the user can enter the posting period, year from and to values and the load takes place for those values.
    I want to do this so that the infopackage can be scheduled for what ever period the user enters.
    Can somebody please tell me how to write the program/or define BADI with this req?

    To me the easiest is the following :
    - Create some variables stored in TVARVC.
    - In your infopackage, add routines to read the TVARVC variables values
    - Create an abap with some select options.
    - Creat a process chain that starts the infopackage using an event and scheduled periodically
    This abap's algorithm is quite simple :
    update from the select options the TVARV values
    raise event that starts the chain (this avoid authorisations problems vers the functionto start a chain)

    I am just learning this topic and see this thread still open, so let me try to help.
    1-Holiday Class(HC)
    In IMG->Time Management->Work Schedules->Define Public Holiday Classes,we assign a value to public holidays like this:
    Holiday            Religion     Holiday class
    Christmas Day                         1
    Here Holiday class value range is: blank-working day; 1-level1 holiday;2-level2 holiday...etc. By assigning a holiday to a holiday class we can classify holidays.
    2-Day Types(DT)
    In IMG->Time Management->Work Schedules->Day Types->Define Day Types, we define day types like:
    Blank     Blank          Work/paid
    1        O/pd         Off/paid
    2        O/upd         Off/unpaid
    3        O/sp         Off/special day
    3-Selection Rules
    In IMG->Time Management->Work Schedules->Day Types->Define Selection Rules, we have such settings:
                           Weekday         Sat.        Sun.
    with holiday class     b123456789     b123456789    b123456789
    Gives day type         _1_1211311     _1_1111111    _1_1111111
    Here, b123456789 is HC and 11211311 is day types(I use '_' for blank).
    In Weekday part,first column wo got HC=b and DT='_'. That means, in calendar if today is a working day(HC=b) then the employee is paid for working(DT=Blank(Work/Paid)).
    In 5th column, we got HC=4 and DT=2. That means, in calendar if today is a level4 holiday then the employee can has a day-off but not paid(DT=2(Off/Unpaid)).

    1 . By Using variants you can make changes in normal working timings.....and these changes made in Table         V_T550X...conditions can be applied by using

    Blank stands for -
    Not a public Holiday
    1 stands for        -
    Public Holiday
    2 Stands for       -
    Half day Holiday
    3-9 stands for    -
    Customer specific Public holiday Classes
    Variants of daily work schedule Selection rule 01 stands for :
       --- Standard variant  Blank
       --- variants A for work on Fridays
    Variants of daily work schedule Selection rule 01 stands for :
       --- Standard variant Blank
       --- Variant A Work on Friday
       --- Variant B work on Public Holidays of Public Holiday Class 2
       --- Variant C work on days preceding Public Holiday Class 4
    For ex: if ur company wants to treat second week of  Saturday is half day holiday for employees..then u can do this by fulfilling the fallowing conditions..
                ...  Select holiday class 2  in Holiday Class field by putting X
                ...   Holiday Class for the next day select each holiday class
                ---  Weekday - select workday as Saturday (6)
    ......finally create daily work schedule and attach the daily work schedule variant  to Daily work schedule (V- T550X to V-T550A)..then u assign ur daily work schedule to period work schedule,period work schedule to work schedule....
    .......You can configure these  rules for any type of weekdays or weekends ...its depends on the requirement of client to client
    ........X represent applicability of holiday class in Holiday class and Holiday class next day & weekday...
    2 . Come to selection rule.....In selection rule u can treat ur holiday class by using day type...ex ....if u want ur managerial category people won't get paid if they work on public holidays or Sunday...u can do this by using selection rules...
    3 .  Personnel Time Management :
            --- Work Schedules
                            --- Define Public Holiday Class
    Personnel sub area grouping for the work schedules and daily work schedule
      daily work schedule  .... Break schedule , Define rules for variants & daily work schedule
    Define Period work schedule
    Day types - Define day types,selection rules & Special days
    Work schedule rules and work schedule
               .... Define employee sub group grouping  and  groupings for public holiday classes
               ....  Set work schedule rules and work schedules           
               .... Generate work schedules

    I am getting following error while creating set work schedule rule.
    Error "No entry in table T551A" for key 22 BBB [ here BBBB is my period work schedule]
    The actual prob is i configured all the necessary steps but when i tried to create work schedule rule im getting this error. Also, in the same screen there is one field DWS grouping initially value in this is 00 and gread mode. But after giving ES grp, holiday calander ID etc etc when i try to save that screen that value is chainging to 22 from 00.
    My ES grop=2 and PS grop=2 . Is that value is my ES and PS grouping..?? or some other thing.
    Request you to please help me out.

    1. Group Personnel Subareas for the Daily Work Schedule
    2. Group Personnel Subareas for the Work Schedule
    3. Define Break Schedules
    4. Define Daily Work Schedules
    5. Define Period Work Schedules
    6. Define Employee Subgroup Groupings
    7. Define Groupings for the Public Holiday Calendar
    8. Set Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules
    All of them belong to TIME MANAGEMENT. I think you miss some steps above.
    Please check it again.

    Holiday Calendar
    Transaction Code: SCAL
    Holiday calendar comprises of list of paid holidays to be given to employees on festivals by the company.
    Personnel Area/SubArea Groupings
    Go to SPRO --> Time Management --->Work Schedules --> Personnel SubArea Groupings
    Maintain perosnnel area/Subarea groupings for work schedule.
    i.e. Suppose in Mumbai you have WS = GEN ( 10 to 6) and in Chennai you have WS = NORM ( 8 to 4 )
    Work Schedule
    Go to SPRO --> Time Management --->Work Schedules -->Daily Work Schedules
    Go to SPRO --> Time Management --->Work Schedules -->Period Work Schedules
    Daily Work Schedule is actually your office timings with breaks (paid /unpaid) i.e. Planned Working Time which is then included
    in Period Work Schedule to make a week ( M T W T F S S )
    Daily Work Schedule (i.e. Day) -
    > Period Work Schedule (i.e. Week)
    Work Schedule Rules
    Go to SPRO --> Time Management --->Work Schedules -->Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules
    After doing above mentioned configurations,maintain employee group/subgroup groupings in which you have to define which calendar is applicable for which type of employees for which work schedule.
    You will maintain this work schedule in infotype 0007 - Planned Working Time of employee via transaction code - PA30

    But in production we could not get work schedule rule in work schedule rule field (pressing F4 we are not getting list of rules for this grouping).
    I have checked the request also everything saved and moved to PRD.

    Dear Rajesh,
    Some times requested transported by you may not import to production server properly.
    For that you need to re import the request to production server by checking all the check marks while importing in production.
    Try it,
    If not overwritten do another way go the same table entries in DEV and do small changes, it create request again.. and release it for production.
