Send one mail for multiple list item update
i have 3 lists storing customer details which are displayed in a page. i need to send mail whenever there is customer details update(any or all 3 lists). should send only one mail per customer details update(not per list item update).Please advise how to
achieve this using SharePoint workflow.
Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to send an email when this are list items update.
A workaround is that we can use one big list to store the customer details from these three lists, then let users update their information in the big list and send email.
Or we can create a form to update these 3 lists, then send a mail when the form saved.

How to write json body for multiple list items to write in a list.
Hi,
I am trying to create list items using REST API, and I am reading the data from Sales force and writing it to the list. For wring sigle item its working fine, but if i am trying to insert multiple data to the list using rest API I am getting bad server requesrt
status code as 400.
HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)HttpWebRequest.Create(args[0] + "/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('Contacts')/items");
request.Method = "POST";
request.Accept = "application/json;odata=verbose";
request.ContentType = "application/json;odata=verbose";
request.Headers.Add("X-RequestDigest: " + requestDigest);
request.Headers.Add("Cookie: " + cookies);
string body = "{ '__metadata': { 'type': 'SP.Data.ContactsListItem' }, 'Title': 'Ravish', 'FirstName': 'Verma'}";
byte[] buf = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(body);
request.ContentLength = buf.Length;
request.GetRequestStream().Write(buf, 0, buf.Length);
var response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse();
In the above code highlighted, line of code works fine, for single item, but if I am giving string values as
string body = "{ '__metadata': { 'type': 'SP.Data.ContactsListItem' }, [{'Title': 'Ravish', 'FirstName': 'Verma'},{'Title': 'Verma', 'FirstName': 'Ravish'}]}";
string body = "{ '__metadata': { 'type': 'SP.Data.ContactsListItem' }, [{'Title': 'Amireddy', 'FirstName': 'Kishore'},{'Title': 'Amireddy', 'FirstName': 'Kishore'}]}";
string test = "{ '__metadata': { 'type': 'SP.Data.ContactsListItem' }, 'Title': 'Amireddy', 'FirstName': 'Kishore'}";
string body = "{ '__metadata': { 'type': 'SP.Data.ContactsListItem' }, 'Title': 'Ravish', 'FirstName': 'Verma'}";
All the above format give bad server request.
if any one has the idea to send multiple items in the request body, please provide me the sample code.
Thanks in Advance.The SharePoint 2013 REST API does not support "batch" or multiple inserts in one call at this time.

function onQueryFailed(sender, args) {
alert('Request failed. ' + args.get_message() + '\n' + args.get_stackTrace());
updateListItems();Have a look at the following link for your reference

You can modify CAML query to fetch rows that you want to fetch.

Workflow - how to update multiple list items
Is it possible to update up to 3 list items with the same information using a workflow? My scenario is where a company vehicle (registration number) has up to three drivers assigned to it - Driver Name 1, Driver Name 2 and Driver Name 3. I
have two separate lists - one for vehicles (fleet list) and one for drivers (driver database). In my workflow when an item is created or changed in the fleet list, I would like the current vehicle registration to be updated in all three driver records
in the driver database. I am not sure if I can do this as I am unsure of what my unique look up would be as I need to be able to tie a vehicle registration to a driver name. Any advice would be much appreciated.
ThanksHi,

Pls help me this is urgent requirement.
Thanks & Regards,
J.LokeshHI,
Instead of using BDC , why dont you make use of BAPI.
As you are on ECC, you can make use of BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2
Collect all your records based on PO # and pass them into line item table structure ORDER_ITEMS_IN.
*--Logic something like this.
loop at it_exceldata into l_line.
loop at it_exceldata into l_so where bstkd_e eq l_line-bstkd.
*This will loop at all the same PO#
*collect the data related into corr tables. and append
endloop.
*Now you are outside the loop.
*Call the BAPI to update this SO
delete it_exceldata where bstkd_e eq l_line-bstkd_e.
endloop.
Also pass all the necessary data to header structure ORDER_HEADER_IN
Do not check for Sy-subrc at the end of execution.
Instead read the Return table with message type 'A' or 'E whichi means there is an error/abort in BAPI execution.
Remember to expicitly COMMIT_WORK after succesfull execution of BAPI using BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
Please let me know , if you need more help in this

PLs If any one knows solution pls write some sample code for me.
If u send that code to my mail id also very thankful.
Pls help me this is urgent requirement.

Thanks & Regards,
J.LokeshIf u want to add Items data, u have to handle the Table control by writing the complete code.
U have to write code for 2 items, when u press enter u will get new row to enter new record one by one.

I have created a button (via Content Editor) that uses JavaScript to open the Attachments folder of a list item in the Explorer Window in SharePoint 2010. The purpose is to have drag and drop functionality for each list item, having multiple attachments.
The button works but opens the "Attachments" folder containing all of the other folders for each list item (one folder per item). It seems that when you add an attachment to a list item, SharePoint numbers the folder based on the item's ID. What
I'm trying to do is take the JavaScript I have and have it run when a button is clicked in a custom form. When it runs, I'm trying to get it to open the "specific" folder for the list item. I have had success creating a hyperlink in the list that
does this; however, the link WILL NOT work until I use the Content Editor created button that runs JavaScript, that prompts me to click OK to my profile certificate, and then opens the Attachment folder. After that occurs, I can use my hyperlinks without issue
because I'm no longer prompted to click OK for my cert.
So I'm trying to take the JavaScript I have and place it in a list item form (custom form) and have it run when a form button is clicked. The problem is I have very little knowledge of JavaScript (did I mention little?) and
"don't know how to take the "http:" address I have in the script and append to it the list item ID, according to the record I have open."
So that for any record I open, the script will grab the corresponding record ID (or list item ID) and append it.
Here's the script I'm working with (which I didn't create but am grateful for):
<style>
.httpFolder {behavior:url(#default#httpFolder);}
</style>
<script text = "javascript">
function fnOpenFolderView(){
oDAV.navigateFrame("https://server/collection/site/subsite/Lists/Sublist/Attachments","_self");
</script>
<div id = "oDAV" class = "httpFolder"/>
<input type = "button" value = "Open Attachment Folder" onclick = "fnOpenFolderView()"/>
The above script, in the Content Editor, creates a button that opens the Attachments folder for the corresponding SharePoint list.
JackSki123Hello Thriggle,
Thank you for pointing that out. I appended your "GetUrlKeyValue" to the end and it worked. That said, I noticed it doesn't run as smoothly as when I simply click on the Content Editor button I created that resides on the SharePoint List
ASPX page (not the form). The Content Editor button has the same code, minus the "GetUrlKeyValue". I click it; I get prompted to choose my cert; it opens right up.
Now go to the ASPX Display form where I dump the code in a table cell. Button appears in cell; I click it; wait; wait; I get prompted for cert; it opens. Do I need some sort of "throttle" for the JavaScript? For instance, I thought before running
JavaScript, you reference the library first. This code doesn't do that. I'm wondering if there's something more I need to make this run smoothly. Thank you both for getting me this far.

Hello Experts,
In SAP, whether an RFQ can be sent to multiple vendors.?
In ME41 (RFQ Creation), we have the option of mentioning only one vendor.Whether the same RFQ can be created/sent to multiple vendors?
Please clarify.
Regards
MaheshHi,
We can surely send one RFQ to multiple vendors (vendors having master record as well as one time vendor). At first we create RFQ for material or service i.e. we maintain header data and item description in item overview, after that u can send it to multiple vendors by entering vendor name or entering one time vendor detail in vendor address tab which opens separate screen, here when u press save a particular RFQ is generated for the relevant vendor u maintain. Than u will get the item overview screen again if u want than do some changes or not and again send it to another vendor by the same process.
Item overview serves as a template in which u maintain ur requirements and than u use this to send multiple vendors, to end end the RFQ creation press exit.

Dashcode iPhone Webapp - Adding url links to multiple list item
I was wondering if anyone knew how to add a url link to multiple list items without the use of a button part.
Say For Instance i Have
Item 1 > I want to go to www.mysite.com/index.html
Item 2 > I want to go to www.mysite.com/help/index.html
Any help would be greatly appreciatedAfter hours of reading and experimentation, I have solved my immediate problem thus:
function jsonLoaded(jsonRequest) {
if (jsonRequest.status == 200) {
events = eval( "("jsonRequest.responseText")" );
document.getElementById('list').object.reloadData();
} else {
alert("Error fetching JSON data: HTTP status " + jsonRequest.status);
var feedURL = "http://www.foo.com/bar.php";
var onloadHandler = function() { jsonLoaded(jsonRequest); };
var events = [];
var jsonRequest = new XMLHttpRequest();
jsonRequest.onload = onloadHandler;
jsonRequest.open("GET", feedURL, true);
jsonRequest.setRequestHeader("Cache-Control", "no-cache");
jsonRequest.send(null);
var listController = {
numberOfRows: function() {
I had to do two things:
1. Declare the array 'events' outside the function.
2. Reload the list data (thanks to http://osdir.com/ml/safari-iphone-web-dev/2009-05/msg00013.html )
Now I've got to figure out how to pull in different data for different list levels! -
One delivery for multiple STO's
Folks,
I have multiple STO's for the same ship-to (plant). Items due for shipping would need to be combined into 1 delivery and not 1 delivery per STO.
Would this be possible? And if yes, how?
Thanks,
MZHi ,
Yes , We can create one delivery for multiple PO's .
Go to VL10D tcode --> Purchase order tab -- > enter the STO's and press execute
Select the STO's and click on background tab. Then it creates the log
Select the item again and press shift +F4
It will gives the log inforamation for the STO's and select the item and press on documents tab.
It will creates only one Delivery for all the STO's.
Now go to VL02N tcode and enter the delivery number then goto picking tab then enter picking qnty = delivery qnty
then press on " post goods issue "
Now go to MIGO to do the goods reciept then enter all the STO's here and check the item then save .
Only one document will be posted for all the STO's
