Regd. error in sender agreement(when to check sender uses virtual receiver)

hi Experts,
I am doing a file( SFTP adapter ) to IDOC scenario.
I got an error :
Couldn't retrieve inbound binding for the given P/S/A values:FP=XYZ;TP=;FS=XXXX;TS=XXXX;AN=XXXXXX;ANS=;
I checked my sender agreement and saw some "*" symbol displayed at the end on SA name.
To quick fix it and remove the star symbol'', i have just created SAgreement again and this time i checked "Sender uses virtual receiver " and revomved thestar symbol '' and saved without mentioning anything there.
When i tested it worked! but i want to know what made it work, is it the right practice.
i did a lilttle search on when to use "sender uses virtual receiver" option.i came to an understanding that it is mainly used to handle multiple input file formats in a single configuration scenario.
one more qns:
What are marketplace adapters,is this error comes when we use adapters which are not inbuilt or bought from external vender.

There is a Checkbox with Sender Uses Virtual Receiver while creating Receiver Determination & Sender Agreement.Could anyone tell when one shall use that checkbox & diffrence of using the same in Rx Determination & Sender agreement ? And Lastly What is the significance of using * in Party &
Service in that Sender Uses Virtual Receiver part ?

Hey Guys,
In Sender Agreement, we have an option of selecting Sender uses virtual receiver option.I tried finding out wht "Sender uses virtual receiver" is all about all i could find out is....this option is used when we have parties communicating that do not know the entire system landscape...

Hi,
In the sender agreement, you define how the message is to be transformed so that it can be processed by the Integration Engine.
You must at least specify the party or service and the interface on the sender side for both the sender and receiver.
You can use a wildcard character (*) for the receiver party, receiver service, and the sender interface (see: Generic/Specific Definition of Configuration Objects).
Note that you are not permitted to use wildcard characters if the sender agreement is assigned a communication channel with the adapter type JMS, JDBC, or File.
Therefore, in the default setting, the receiver (party and service) is not specified during creation and the corresponding input fields are hidden in the create dialog box.
Now To specify specific values for the receiver, select the Sender Uses Virtual Receiver checkbox (see also: Configuring Cross-Company Processes).

About Receiver Aggrement in Virtual receiver

When we are creating the Receiver aggrement then one check box is there that is Sender uses a virtual receiver, what is the purpose of that one and when we can use that one ?

In Receiver Agreement you will not find this option .It will be available in Sender Agreement.
With Sender agreement you should select minimum sender Interface and the party or service for sender and receiver, For Receiver side details such as party/service and the sender interface could be replace by * (wildcard character). This will make the generic Sender agreement.
In case of fixed receiver for the given sender you could virtually map the sender interface with receiver details.
This could be possible with using Virtual receiver.
Normally this is used to Configuring Cross-Company Processes .

Error is Receiver AS2 adaptor used for Idoc to AS2 scenario

   I am doing Idoc to AS2 B2B scenario where I am getting below error message in runtime workbench comm channel monitoring.

Basis has already configured the AS2 Server with Certificates and provided me the below details for receiver agreement and those are put in Receiver agreement.

There is no need for sender agreement for Sender IDoc but still I tried to created R3 as sender party and R3 Business system, used it for the scenario and created sender agreement for sender Idoc but received same error message in Runtime workbench.
R2 system sender party is also set with identifier with AS2 ID.
MDN mode is set to no MDN in the receiver AS2 communication channel.
Please suggest me if something is missing or wrong in the configuration.

Hi Larry,
   The solution was very simple.
It was problem with the basic understanding of system and configuration.
Idoc is send sent by R3 ERP system and target is Partner Party. As ERP system is Business system and not the party w.r.t XI/PI terminology, we are not supposed to use Sender party as Sender ERP system but just use Business system as sender without any sender party. So in this way PI system could recognize that the data is coming from R3 system which is nothing but PI Business system.
Now question comes where to user the Serder Party which was defined with AS2 ID? So answer is in the receiver determination we have to mention the Sender party and sender service in the header mapping part (Also mention receiver party and service).
So in my case problem was with sernder party. I mentioned sender party in all receiver determination, Interface determination, Sender Agreement and receiver agreement where only sender service ie sender system was required. And as I configured my scenario without sender party it worked because PI could recognize the sender R3 system and AS2 ID was recognized form the Header mapping of Receiver Agreement.

You can define receiver determinations as receiver-dependent.
You can use this property when configuring cross-company processes where not all communication parties know the entire system landscape description. In this case, you can release an external view of your system landscape for your communication parties. Your communication party then knows the externally released virtual receiver to which he can send his messages. By defining one receiver determination that is dependent on a virtual receiver, you can define the internal receiver system to which the message is to be forwarded.
If you want to create a receiver-dependent receiver determination, select the Sender Uses Virtual Receiver checkbox in the create dialog.The system then displays the input fields for the receiver (party, service).

As per the excerpts it can be used for both receivers (service and party)

Sender Agreement is not Active

Hello,
I am developing a JMS to File and File to JDBC scenarios on XI service pack 9.
All the necessary objects and configuration are created and activated . When i activated them,evertying got activated but i don,t see sender agreement from the SXI_CACHE even its associated communication channel is not visible from the adapter minitor.
I can see all onjects from SXI_CACHE , only sender agreement is missing.
Any suggestions for this problem?

Chandra,
Click on the Sender Agreemt and then Click on the Sender Business Syste, with which you have associated the Sender Agrement. You should then be able to see the same if it active.
Also, if there is no sender agreement for your adapter, then the adapter in Comm Channel Monitoring would give you the error log , "No sender agreement found" . Are you getting this?

No receiver agreement for the sender "xyz" to receiver "abc" found

in SXMB_MONI i am getting the following error message when the data has been sent from the IDOC
No receiver agreement for the sender "xyz" to receiver "abc" found
I have specified 3 receiver agreements and a Default receiver (in configured receivers)
so in any case, it should pick it as the receiver
but, still I am getting the above error message
any one faced same kind of issue?

Hi Nikhil,
Correct me if I understood it wrongly.
You need to copy the IDOC xml data and copy it for testing. XSD is the definition for your XML data.
You should not copy the XSD as the input to the Mapping program.
Follow this steps:
- Go to your Mapping Program
- Click on Test tab
- Click on the SRC tab and copy your XML data here not XSD.

Try restarting the phone and trying again.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.

What's the usage for WSDL of sender agreement?

Hi gurus,
Our scenarios are using soap sender adpater, and we find in PI 7.11 there is a functionality to display the wsdl of sender agreement.
It seems xmlspy can create soap request based on the url format of wsdl, but we can't send the soap request to PI as it gave the error message as below " Couldn't retrieve inbound binding for the given P/S/A values: FP=;TP=;FS=null;TS=;AN=null;ANS=null;".
Do we have to use the "TOOLS->display wsdl" menu to get the wsdl file to local and then provide it to 3rd party system? If so, we have to export wsdl again whenever data structure changes.

1. in sender Agreement
2. from memu bar-> tools
but we have to generate WSDL file Through Menu bar "TOOLS" because there is chance to provide url and sender details after change the Structure..,..

ERROR in PI : No sender agreement found for , , , , ,

Hello everybody,
i'm working with SAP PI 7.1
it's a new installation.
I created the first easy interface JDBC-Pi-File.
when i activate the CC i don't see any message in SXMB_MONI but in RWM i see the messages in Waiting status and when i look inside i see the follow error:

ErrorCode/Category: XIServer/INBOUND_BINDING_ERROR; Params: BS_CSIS_DEV, http://xxxx.com/test, SI_DB2SP_DOCUMENTS_AA_02; AdditionalText: null; ApplicationFaultMessage: null; ErrorStack: Error in sender agreement for party , service BS_CSIS_DEV, interface namespace http://xxx.com/test interface SI_DB2SP_DOCUMENTS_AA_02 No sender agreement found for , , , , ,
1-Configuration is ok. I create all steps and sender Agreement exist
2-end point http://yyyyy:50100/sap/xi/engine?type=entry is correct and the same in SLD and sxmb_adm -> Integration Engine Configuration
3-i suppose 50100 port is correct because when i try to use 8010 port i have a different error.
4- i alreadi used CPA cache refresh and SXI_CACHE.
Any suggestion?

Now the error message is changed:

Reason: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused.
