Sender's Complete Address in Mail's InBox
Hello everyone -
I have Mail 1.3.11 running with my OSX 10.3.9.
Is there any way to have Mail display the senders' complete addresses (ie: [email protected]) in its InBox rather than just their short names (ie: Joe) before opening that mail?
Many times an unfamiliar sender name could possibly be someone I know, and I would like to see the complete address to help me decide whether or not I want to open it.

it should be a valid E-Mail Address because you should be able to handle the bounces. And please have also a look at <a href="/people/thomas.jung3/blog/2004/09/08/sending-e-mail-from-abap--version-610-and-higher--bcs-interface">Sending E-Mail from ABAP - Version 610 and Higher - BCS Interface</a> if your Mail system is configured correctly. You should be able to send out SMTP Mails via SAP Business Workplace.

Newest version of Thunderbird is very slow to complete addresses of mail recipients.
Prior to version 31, I could just type the first few characters of e-mail addresses (for recipients) and then move on to the next field and the program would auto-complete the e-mail addresses.
Since updating to ver 31, I have to keep the cursor in the field and wait for the address to autocomplete and then sometimes when I move to the next field (probably based on whether I hit enter or tab, I guess) the e-mail address actually changes to a different one.
Would be great if developers could restore the very convenient prior function of the e-mail address autocomplete.Welcome to the new, broken address book. The only fix that I know of is going back to version 24.6 until they fix the new version. I have delayed the upgrade due to this and other problems with V31.

How can I delete an auto complete address in Mail that is not in Previouse Recipients?
Hello. I have an e-mail address that comes up in auto complete in my e-mail when sending. It is NOT in previous recipients and

Send problem with address book mailing lists

Plateform : openSuSE 13.1 Thunderbird : 31.1.0
When I use a name or alias of a mailing list from my address book I get an error message by clicking on Send button : CSCA <"ConseilSyndical"> n'est pas une adresse valide car elle n'est pas de la forme utilisateur@domaine. Veuillez la corriger avant d'envoyer le courrier.
That's to say that CSCA is not a valid address because not like user@dmoain.
I've created these lists in a previous version of Thunderbird and it was always operational. I've done a google search and verified that name/alias and addresses do not contain special characters. The name/alias do not contain blanks. The lists don't end with an empty address.
What should I do to make it operational like it was before v30 ?

suggest you update your version of Thunderbird first to see if the bug is removed. -
Sending to multiple addresses in mail, but leaving one out.
I forward e-mails that I receive to anything from 10 to 16 contacts. When I receive an e-mail from Contact #1 I don't want to forward it to him again but only to the others. If I put them in a group I can't delete one contact. Is there any way to paste all the specific contacts in Bcc and then delete only one or two?
I solved my own problem. I created a new group (E-Mail Forwards) in Contacts and dragged all the contacts whom I forward to, to this group. When I want to forward an e-mail, I open Contacts > E-Mail Forwards, select the contacts in the group that I want to forward the e-mail to, and drag them to Bcc. Note: I moved the Contacts window to the right side of my screen so that Bcc on the e-mail is visible. I don't drag the group to Bcc, only the selected contacts in the group.
Does anyone have a better idea? -

Mail Inbox all Emails do not display sender's name or E-mail address
After the last update in my Mail all the sender's names or E-mail addresses changed into No Sender. They are real E-mails not spam or junk E-mails. Once I open the E-mail I can see the Sender's name and E-mail address. It is very inconvenient not being able to see who is the sender befoer openning it. How do i fix this?
Thank you.I am fighting with the same problem. In conversation mode my reply shows me as "From" on the left pane. I switched to Classic view which makes life a bit easier as I can see the "Subject" line and guess that this is an email I'm searching for. Can't find the way to put name of the Sender who started conversation in the info summary on the left.

Mail sends from wrong address?

This problem has happened twice recently, and goes something like this:
I have a few accounts on Mail.
My main account ("A"), I use for most things. Today, I sent an email from "A". This email shows in the outbox for account "A", and shows at the top of the email as having been sent from "A"; but when the reply came back from the recipient, they had replied to account "B", and the original email shown attached to the bottom of this reply showed my email had actually originated from account "B".
Make sense?! Essentially I send the email from A, Mail shows this as having been sent from A, yet it has actually been sent from B.
FRUSTRATING!
Any ideas how I can fix this? I use different email for personal/professional etc., and it's inappropriate for professional recipients to be getting my personal address.

I have a personal Gmail and my school account which is also administered by Google. Both would have the same SMTP server, obviously. Both worked fine with no errors when I used Thunderbird.
Bought a Mac, use Mail, now I'm getting professors responding to my personal emails.
In fact, slightly off topic, I'm finding that the much mythologized Mac is not nearly what it's cracked up to be. I've had recurrent extensions problems, permissions problems, network problems, have had to reinstall iTunes half a dozen times (because iPhone suddenly stops syncing) and yesterday the computer just wouldn't boot.
I'm entering this from my PC as I have to completely repair and reinstall the Mac from the system disc. I think Apple just does a better PR job controlling their flaws, and there is a much smaller pool of people to complain, and if you can afford and pay for a Mac, you probably can afford a Time Capsule, so it's easier to recover; and you feel justified in your investment, therefore you don't admit to anyone that you have Mac problems.
If I'm going to have computer problems either way, next time I'll have them on a $350 PC instead of a $900 Mac. -
Tiger Mail to Leopard Mail - Auto Complete Addresses?

I've recently backed up my friend's complete Home folder from Tiger, along with all other Tiger assets required to hopefully make a smooth migration to Leopard.
NERD SCENARIO:
Apple Mail: My friend relied heavily on "Automatically complete addresses" in Apple Mail, otherwise known as Automatic Addressing, aka: auto complete TO: email addresses when typing a name. Unfortunately, when migrating to Leopard, he has now lost auto addressing after I migrated his old email (Inbox, Sent, Deleted, etc.) He's savvy, but not savvy enough to know to add his recipients to his Apple Address Book -- therefore Leopard Mail is only auto completing recent mail within this past week. I'm now trying to inform him to begin adding people to his Address Book so this doesn't happen again -- but it might be too late? He used to rely heavily on Auto Addressing to remember email addresses prior.
TRANSLATION:
1. How can I pull date or history from my backed up Mail folder from Tiger to import back into Leopard so "Auto Addressing" will remember email addresses prior?
2. Did I not backup his mail correctly? I burned an almost exact mirror of his hard drive to a DVD.
3. Has he lost his ability to auto address old email addresses? Since he didn't add them to his Address Book?

Message was edited by: sem101I just did the same thing, transferring all my data from Tiger to a new Leopard MacBook Pro, and now I can't access ANY of my addresses from my old address book, even tho I can see all the data sitting in Library... How the heck do I get the hundreds of addresses into my new address book? And, why won't my new Mail pick up all the Auto-Complete addresses from the old program if I transferred everything over?

I recently upgraded to Adobe XI and I can't find a "submit by email" button for my form. I created a button and tried to set up some actions but, I can only get the button to direct the user to a URL. How do I make it send the completed PDF to our designated company email address? I'm not too familiar with JAVASCRIPTS so I haven't tried that plus I heard it may not work with users with adobe reader.

MattThanks for the input. I think you might have a different version of LiveCycle than the copy I have since it looks a little different. However, I found the answer in Adobe help. I had to type "mailto:" before the email address to indicate it's an email and not a URL. See below.
To collect form data as attachments to email, type mailto: followed by the email address. For example, mailto:[email protected] -
I am trying to add another e-mail address to FaceTime, but do not want to change the e-mail address associated with my Apple ID. Everytime I try to add the e-mail address in my FaceTime settings, it send me a verification e-mail asking me to verify that I want to change to this new e-mail address for my apple ID. I do not. I just want to have an additional e-mail address for people to contact me via FaceTime. Does anyone know how to do this?
You can have multiple addresses associated with your apple id. You will have to verify any changes before they can be added and this is done by sending you an email. This is to protect you from someone else makeing changes to your account.

I can't remember my Apple ID password or my security question answers. When I try to reset my password it wants to send it to my e-mail address but I can't get the e-mail because I don't know my security answers or the password. How do I reset password?

u r right. there is no error in sending the mail and the file but the problem is that file created and converted to pdf is not done properly.jst verify whether the file is created properly or not .thats the only problem that can occurs else ur program is absolutely right. -

How to send a mail to multiple mail addresses using Mail package. I tried by giving multiple mail addresses separated by semicolon(as well as comma) to the To field of the Mail Package structure, it gives Invalid Address error in Message Monitoring. But if i give a single mail address it works. How to address multiple email addresses.

With semicolon for mulitple email ids it worked for me (long back). Anyway cross check with this aprt of SAP help-
