Serial number has been registered before!

I bought a new macbook pro and was trying to register the product online. it is a sucsessful registration on the product. However when i try to update the MAC OS X to Lion, it cannot be updated and request to use the up-to-date program to submit some of the information.
I did submit twice on the up-to-date program. Cause the first email was reflected that the attached receipt was illegible. Hence, i upload another with a more high and clear pixel jpg. by right it should be clear enough. It still doesn't work out.
I call up to apple support to ask. With the Serial number check, found out that my serial number has been registered before with another person name, and is not under my name. moreover that the purchase date is on April 2011. Which cause my warranty to be expired on the April 2012.
I very doubt that my macbook pro is not new. Or been used before and return to the store.
DId anyone experience that same problem?

If the item is brand new out of the box then it may just simply be someone accidentally registered their system serial with yours by spelling mistake (S instead of 5, B instead of 8, etc..)
Best way to resolve this is just call AppleCare and provide them with your proof of purchase and the serial number, I'm sure they can sort it out if you get to the right department.

    A little info on my question,
    I had it stoeln on June 22nd 2013. I had recently bought it so had not installed any software on it nor did I have registered with icloud. I had contacted police, registered it stolen with Apple (but then just discovered this week that apple do not have a database for stolen products, which makes no sense at all).
    I have contacted all the major pawn shops and computer stores in town etc etc. I have recently discovered that each laptop has a unique MAC address whcih begs the question, is that traceable somehow? I have been made aware that the router strips the mac address before it connects it to the internet but does the isp log the laptops MAC address? If i contacted all the major isp in my country would they have the ability to search for the mac address of my latop and then link that with an ip address?
    Any help would be great please!

    Then you have a problem.  Only AT&T can unlock the phone.  Looks like you'll be coming to the US if you want to have the phone unlocked.

    I purchased CS6 in June of 2012 and have been using it without a problem ever since.  I just purchased a new Mac however, and want to install my current version of CS6.  I downloaded the installer from adobe.com and am to the point of entering my serial number.  However, I am now receiving an error message stating that my serial number has been "revoked" and that I my product cannot be downloaded.  I have the purchase receipt and can provide documentation of the serial number and order number.  Will someone please help?

    I upgraded from CS5 Design premium to CS6 creative suite design standard (which adobe online store said told me, that I was allowed to to such an upgrade), and during typing my CS6 serial and then to qualify the update the CS5 serial it told me that it was NOT a qualiying product.
    I called Support, and they told me to click on the yellow field, and give me the number. I got a code to type, and it worked until around 30 days later... then Acrobat X Pro and Distiller stopped starting.
    I ran the acrobat cleaner, and did a reinstall of only Acrobat X Pro... It started... but prompted me to inter my serial number... I did that, but then i came up with this message:
    "The serial number you entered has been revoked. This product cannot be licensed. Please contact Customer Support...
    All the other programs from CS6 was still installed, only acrobat X pro was removed. And guess what... I also got the message that the serial has been revoked on Indesign, illustratoer, photoshop and bridge.
    So here I am... again.
    Please hurry.

    I called the support, and they fixed it with a new serialnumber.

    I can't imagine why you think they would (or should). In trying to save money, you bought a deeply discounted copy of the software, which turned out be a pirated (stolen) copy. Why would you think that having possession of a stolen copy would entitle you to any discount on the real thing?

    Logic is the APPlication (program, app) that you are having the problem with.
    Logic Pro can take advantage of other computers on your local (home or work) network to help it do "heavy lifting" data chores by using Bonjour and a feature called Nodes.   It seems that Logic is attempting to find and connect to another machine on your network.
    Do you have Logic installed on another computer there?  That may be the source of the confilict.
    You might want to post this question in the Logic Pro Community.
    Be sure to indicate the version of Logic Pro that you are using.  I'm sure the folks there can help you out.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 &amp; above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

THey said it is, I even asked her 3 different times "so youre sure that this item is not stolen or reported missing or anything like that" she said yes.
    Today, I decided to find out if the iphone is under waranty or not so I went on the apple website to check the serial number, and guess what I got:

    when apple replaces a phone, do they no let the carrier know that this IMEI number belongs to a phone that has been replaced?

    Apple cannot help you with this.
    The iPhone is sold in the U.S. as carrier locked with AT&T only. If this is an AT&T carrier locked iPhone and it sounds like it, Apple sells an AT&T carrier locked iPhone in the U.S. only - an AT&T carrier locked iPhone is not sold by Apple outside of the U.S. or shipped by Apple or AT&T outside of the U.S. If such an iPhone was sold in Hong Kong, it was not sold officially by Apple in Hong Kong. This is a "brown" market iPhone that was sold unofficially and was hacked to be unlocked for use with any carrier's SIM card. Installing a firmware update on an iPhone that was hacked to be unlocked re-locks the iPhone to the designated carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked with when sold officially by Apple when new. AT&T does not unlock an AT&T carrier locked iPhone for any reason or under any circumstances.
