Set PC Suite password for privacy?
Hello,
I share my computer (Windows XP) with other people (family) and we use the same user account. One of the users has a Nokia phone (6300) and uses the PC suite to backup contacts and messags. But we can't find a way to restrict access to this data. Every user may access the PC Suite and browse the contacts (bad) and even messages (bad³).
Is there a way to set a password for the PC suite?

I also experience this issue. This is not right. There should have been a facility to set password. I stay in a hostel and the whole hostel use my laptop. The whole softwares and games are installed in my account. And due to some reason I am not able to create other accounts in my system

I was trying to upgrade to the newest version of Firefox, and when I downloaded it, and clicked on run, it took me to a login box, where I had to choose whether to continue as current user or login as Administrator. When I clicked on continue as current user, nothing happened. When I tried logging on as Administrator, I used all the passwords I could think of that I use and nothing was accepted. What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. -

In other words, you must know this password to make changes to the configuration of the router. It is not the encryption key for wireless security. Wireless security is configured on the Wireless Security tab.

You can do this by creating a Login screen for the users and check the authentication of each user in PAI i.e. PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
Store the user information in a database table and check the username and password when the user enters it.
You can display password as *** also. For this double click on input box designed for password and goto Display tab. Select Invisible in the list and check it.

Sig, I appreciate you trying to be helpful. I have no idea what issues you were having or what issue exactly pgrounds has been having. Your assumption that everyone's set up is the same as yours is false however. There are many many documented WiFi issues that are a result of Lion installs. Many have been solved by 10.7.1 and 10.7.2. Others have been solved by a large variety of work arounds. Others have not had their issues solved yet.
I am one of those. I have an IT background, and I spent the better of five hours digging up workarounds and attempting all of them. For the benefit oh anyone who is having similar issues, I have posted links to all of those workarounds here. None of them worked in my case, but hopefully they will help pgrounds or others.
So, once again, if you have a new idea, I'd love to here it. But if it has already been posted in one of these links, it's not helpful, let it go.

Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the AirPort Extreme icon, then click Manual Setup
Click the Wireless tab below the row of icons
Check to make sure that the setting for Wireless Security reads either WPA2 Personal or WPA/WPA2 Personal
Enter a Wireless Password and Verify Password
Click Update to save any changes and wait a full minute for the AirPort Etreme to restart -
Setting up a password for my wireless internet
We have a linksys wireless router I believe, (and macbooks) and our wireless internet that both my roommate and I use is not secured...ie: anyone can connect to it. To prevent my neighbors in the apartments and buildings around us I would like to set up a password for my roommate and I for our wireless. I have no idea how to do this. Thanks!You do this in the router's configuration. Most LinkSys routers can be accessed through your browser by entering the router's access address into your browser's address bar. For example, http://192.168.0.xxx, where xxx is the last node of the router's IP address. You will find this in the router's user manual in a section on configuring from a browser.
Once into the configuration pages look for a section on security. Choose WPA2 security (do not use WEP) and set your password. For additional protection you can also set up a "private" network in which you enter the MAC addresses of only the computers you will allow access. Even if someone hacks your password they will not be able to access your network unless you list their MAC address in the router's private network configuration. -

How do I set an exclusive password for the iCloud settings in my Mac at work?
Here's the thing:
I want to have my computer at work (MacPro) synched with iCloud (all my contacts and bookmarks). But to do and still feel safe that no one else would open System Preferences and mess up with the iCloud settings (for example, turning on the photo sharing or callendars, wich are very private). I would like to know if there's a way to set an exclusive password (not only the system password) for this area of the System Preferences.I suggest you post your question on an MS Office forum since it's their software you're having issues with.

Is there an issue just signing out? It's a chore entering itunes store password sometimes I agree but there's no way to set a local password on AppleTV - though it's a good idea as you could have a simpler one than for itunes store.
Ordinarily I enter my password for rentals though AppleTV ususally asks if I want it to remember it automatically. If you sign out and sign back in you should get the option. -

When i am passing in an HTTP request into the integration engine's plain_http adapter url, i am required to give a username and a password for authentication.
Is it possible to set this username and password globally some where, to avoid this to be given again for each message?
The requirement is like, all http messages from our partners will be routed through a proxy in the DMZ which would have an authentication and we donot want the XI user credentials to be given again.
