Set the command "close" in an action to answer "no" to save changes. (CS5)

I am using a command now which I want to at the end of the command close the new file it opened.
I tried recording the action and clicking 'no' while recording but this is not carried over into the action.
How can I solve this?

If you do not want to close a document, then I am not sure why you desire a close action with status of no. Can you elaborate, as I am not understanding that.
I would say to try using toggle dialog on/off (2nd column), but for close that is not even available. You can though remove the check in the first column.

  • Setting the command prompt...

    Can anyone tell me what I would use to set the command prompt?
    On HP-UX, I would reset the PS1 variable...
    i.e. PS1="
    \$ID @ \$HOST | \$PWD
    --> "
    On Linux, I would reset it as follows:
    i.e. PS1="
    \u @ \h | \W
    --> "
    Neither of these seems to work here...
    I tried the following, and it give me the correct visual layout, but the values don't change when you change directories:
    i.e. PS1="
    `whoami` @ `uname -n` | `pwd`
    --> "
    Any help would be greatly appreciated...

    Hi,
    Changing Your Command Prompt
    The syntax you use to change your command prompt depends on whether you are using the Bourne,
    Korn or C shell.
    Bourne and Korn Shells
    For the Bourne or Korn shells, you redefine your command prompt with the PS1 command. The
    following are three examples:
    PS1=": "
    PS1="`hostname`: "
    PS1="`hostname`{`id`}}: "
    The first example sets the prompt to a colon (:), followed by a space.
    The second example creates a prompt consisting of your machine name followed by a colon and a
    space.
    The third example sets the prompt to your machine name, followed by your login name in braces
    {}, a colon, and a space.
    Type any of the examples above to change your current command prompt. The prompt will remain until
    you change it again, or logout.
    If you want to make your changes more permanent, add one of the above examples (or a prompt of your
    own creation) to your .profile file. If you do this, the prompt you specify will appear each time you
    login in or start a new shell.
    C Shell
    For the C shell, you personalize your command prompt with the set prompt command. The following
    are three examples:
    set prompt="% "
    set prompt="`hostname`\!: "
    set prompt="`hostname`{`id`}}: "
    The first example sets the prompt to the percent sign, followed by a space.
    The second example creates a prompt consisting of your machine name followed by the history
    number of the command (hostname1, hostname2, hostname3, and so on).
    The third example sets the prompt to your machine name, followed by your login name in braces, a
    colon, and a space.
    Type any of the examples above to change your current command prompt. The prompt will remain until
    you change it again, or logout.
    If you want to make your changes more permanent, add one of the above examples (or a prompt of your
    own creation) to your .cshrc file. If you do this, the prompt you specify will appear each time you login
    in or start a new shell.
    Revert back.
    Thanks.

  • How to set the number of rings before voice mail answers?

    How to set the number of rings before voice mail answers?

    For me its:
    1. Open the phone app and dial *#61# on the Keypad. Press the Call button.
    2. Locate this text on the screen: "Setting Interrogation Succeeded, Voice Call Forwarding, When Unanswered, Forwards to +" and record the 11-digit number after the + symbol.
    3. Touch the Dismiss button. Now enter this code on the Keypad: *61*+ followed by the 11-digit Forwards to number recorded in step 2, followed by *11 and *ringtime#. Ringtime is the number of seconds you want your iPhone to ring before voicemail picks up. Your finished code should look something like this:
    *61*+18555513466*11*30#
    In the example above the ring time is set to 30 seconds. Press the Call button.
    4. You should receive the message: Setting Activation Succeeded. Press Dismiss and next time you receive a call it will ring for the new amount of time before going to voicemail.

  • HT204135 My printer always defaults to "Scale = 150%" and prints oversized. I always have to set the scale back to "100%". Is there any way to change this default setting?

    Hi
    My osX Lion loaded iMac always prints with a default "scale" of "150%" and consequently won't print anything on a single page. I always have to go into "Printer Settings" and change it to "100%" to print properly. Is there any way to set this up to default at "100%"?
    Thanks!

    Hi,  just a note that might help.  I notice in baltwo's screen shot of the print dialog, that the Preset titled "Plain paper, best" is selected.
    anderdan33316, if you have selected a preset, and that preset was created with the "Scale" set to "150%".  I suspect your issue is related to this.
    for a possible solution,
    1. in Safari, open the Print dialog (by cmd-p, or choosing "Print..." from the File menu, either way works).
      2. in the dialog, manually set the Scale to 100%
      3. in the "Presets:" pull-down menu, select "Save Current Settings as Preset..."
      4. enter a label that is meaningful to you, such as "Standard", "Basic", "Default" - it can be modified later
      5. print that page from that dialog, and the customized Preset will be one of your choices until you decide to delete it.
    hope this helps,

  • How do I set the frame rate to 12fps on my video, and it not change randomly?

    Hi, I imported a video layer from file then set the frame rate to 12fps, when I play the video it keeps changing the frame rate to random times. How do I keep it at 12fps

    Click the windows start button, then right click on computer, this will bring up a window that will tell you how much ram your system has.
    Also Start>Accessories>System Tools>System Information will give you all the details you need to know.
    As for Codec, That is an abreviation for code/decode it tells windows how to code when saving a video and how to decode when playing a video. Most formats are wrappers (avi, wmv, mov, rt) Each of these have a codec that you can choose from when saving a video, that codec then must be installed on the users computer to see that same video. Most formats come with a basic number of codecs and the creator of the video can purchase other codecs that provide better feature set.
    What the codec really does is takes the video and compresses it like a zip file then the user when playing require that codec to uncompress it.
    So each codec has its own strength and weaknesses. Some can compress more making a smaller file and perhaps inturn removes more data to get that compression and therefore has a poorer quailty video (just an example)
    I am sure you heard of a few codecs if you think about it. mpg, mp2, mp3, mp4, h.264 and so on. Mp3 is the only one I listed here that is for audio only. Yep thats right even audio uses codecs.

  • Is it possible to set the stateof a command button

    I want to call a function when the user presses a command button (left click), then wait until he releases the mouse button, then call a second function.
    Here is the code for EVENT_LEFT_CLICK:
    CallFunction_1(...)
    GetRelativeMouseState(panel, control, 0, 0, &mouseLButton, 0, 0);
    while(mouseLButton)
    ProcessSystemEvents();
    ProcessDrawEvents ();
    GetRelativeMouseState(panel, control, 0, 0, &mouseLButton, 0, 0);
    CallFunction_2(...)
    My Problem is, that the button does not chage its state to "pressed", so it appears to the user that he has not clicked on it.
    Is there any possibility to set the command button th the pressed state?

    The reason for this is that the LEFT_CLICK event has not been processed yet. We allow you to "swallow" any event to basically eliminate the built in effect of that event. In your case you want the normal effect of the LEFT_CLICK event to occur (button appears pressed on the panel), but you also want to launch a loop to check when the mouse has been released. This is easily done through posting a deferred call. A deferred call allows the current event to be completed and then calls the deferred callback after that. So your code would be changed to:
    In LEFT_CLICK,
    CallFunction_1(...)
    PostDeferredCall (funcName, (void*)control);
    Then write a function "funcName" with prototype:
    void CVICALLBACK funcName (void *callbackData);
    and code:
    void CVICALLBACK fu
    ncName (void *callbackData)
    int control = (int)callbackData;
    int mouseLButton = 0;
    GetRelativeMouseState (panel, control, 0, 0,
    &mouseLButton, 0, 0);
    while(mouseLButton)
    ProcessSystemEvents();
    ProcessDrawEvents ();
    GetRelativeMouseState (panel, control, 0, 0,
    &mouseLButton, 0, 0);
    CallFunction_2(...)
    This should solve your problem.

  • Set Cascading LOV Item using Dynamic Action

    Hi all,
    I have the following page item:
    P1_USERNAME
    P1_COMPANY  (LOV)
    P1_DIVISION (LOV)
    P1_DEPT (LOV)
    Item P1_COMPANY, P1_DIVISION, and P1_DEPT are cascading LOV on my page.
    I also have a table that contains the user and his/her company, division, and department.
    So I have a dynamic action that when P1_USERNAME is entered. The dynamic action will pull the COMPANY, DIVISION, and DEPT information from the table and populate the page item accordingly.
    I got the dynamic action working, I can confirm this by checking the Session State of the items.
    BUT I cannot get the LOVs to display the selected value from the session state. They always reset back to "- Please Select -", which is my display value when NULL.
    For example:
    I have a record like in the table:
    Username :alex
    Company : Finance Inc.
    Division : Admin
    Dept : HR
    When I entered the username into P1_USERNAME, this is what I see in the screen.
    Username :alex
    Company : - Please Select -
    Division : - Please Select -
    Dept : - Please Select -
    While the session states of the items have been set correctly as per the record in the database.
    Has anyone experienced this before?
    I think it's because the parent LOV (company), reset the child LOVs (division and dept), when the dynamic action kicks in.
    Thanks.

    I've just taken a look at your sample page and don't think this issue is actually too complicated to solve. (Actually, it was I who was mucking around in page 1, sorry for that. I was looking at it and then had to go. Picked it up again later on and just made a copy this time)
    You change the employee. The dynamic action fires, executes plsql and sets the values in the company2/division2/dept2 fields
    Company 1 is a cascading lov. Empo has changed? Company refreshes. Cascading for division and dept as well.
    You can see this happening in sequence as well when looking at the page. Select emp, it'll hang for a second. You then get the select list refresh icons.
    The sequence in which this happens is of course a bit wrong. You set the values for the items on the client side first, but then their refresh is kicked in, and so the value setting is simply lost again.
    What makes this annoying is how P1_EMPNO is a cascading lov parent of P1_COMPANY. Changing P1_EMPNO will refresh the lovs beneath it. However, you can't simply set their values after you've retrieved the user's company/division/dept, because each lov is dependent on the one above it. Eg you change the employee. The company lov is refreshed. Because the it is refreshed, the division lov will refresh. Now you can set the value of the company lov, but not that of the division one. Why is this? The lov for division requires the value of company in the session state. If you'd set the value for company after it has finished refreshing, it will already be too late for division to pick up the value set. .
    I made a copy of your page to page 5, “tom”.
    The first I did was removing the cascade from the company lov. You don’t need this. There are simply no parent lovs for this lov, as is evident from the sql for it. The companies always remain the same companies even when you select another person; it is not dependent on another item for its values.
    Then the timing issues come in play, and with them there is also the issue of the session state.
    So now companies always show. You pick a user, it runs the PLSQL block and put values in the P5_xxx2 items. P5_COMPANY can be set now, and this is in the set value of the dynamic action. By not suppressing the change event, a refresh will be triggered on its cascading lov, P5_DIVISION.
    Refreshing P5_DIVISION will only get the new lov values (constrained within the chosen company) for this item though, and not set the value. We already have the values in P5_DIVISION2 however, and thus can use the “After Refresh” dynamic action on P5_DIVISION to do this. In short: company gets set, divisions refresh to show the correct divisions, and then the selected value is set. Again, by not suppressing the change event on this item the depending lov on DEPT will be refreshed.
    Then by using another “After Refresh” dynamic action on P5_DEPT we can set the selected value once more.
    Also important is that I changed P5_DIVISION to submit P5_COMPANY when it is refreshed, and P5_DIVISION when P5_DEPT is refreshed. This makes sure that the correct set of values is retrieved and probably why you were struggling aswell. After company has changed and division has refreshed, the value on division is set. But the correct divisions are shown only because the chosen company has been set in the session state.
    The same for division - dept. After the refresh of division, the chosen value for division is set. This change will trigger the refresh on dept, and because dept has the division in its page items to submit list, the correct values will be retrieved.
    Take note that the “debug items” are required in this solution though. Just set them as hidden and unprotect their value. Your goal should be to reduce the amount of roundtrips to the server. Why do a plsql (ajax) call just to retrieve a session state, when the value is already on the page and all in one action? Three hidden items is just so much easier than 3 extra ajax calls, the tradeoff is plenty.
    There is one more noteworthy point, and that is the fact that dept is being retrieved twice. That makes sense because of the cascading lovs. Initially company is changed, and this will refresh division and this in turn will trigger a refresh on dept. At this point the lov for dept will be empty, because division will be empty. Because we set the value of division again after it has refreshed, this will trigger a second refresh on dept, though now the correct list of values is retrieved because division has a value set. Not that big an issue, but good to point out. If you’d have another cascading lov beneath dept, it would refresh three times.

  • Switching my output stream back to the command prompt

    Hi there,
    I was just wondering if anybody could tell me how I can switch back to printing lines in the command prompt after I've set the output stream to a text file.
    jjmclell

    ok, I started by changing the output stream to a text file as follows:
    String path = ("C:/JFiles/Harvest/");
    String filename = path + "Stand_ages.txt";
    System.out.println("Using file: " + filename);
    File file = new File(filename);
    FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(file);
    PrintStream ps = new PrintStream(fos);
    System.setOut(ps);
    This works fine. However, I'd also like to create other text files for other results from my program. I was able to do this, but what I can't do is get Java to print anything on the screen once I've started to print to text files. All I want is the location of the file to pop up for each of the text files that I create:
    System.out.println("Using file: " + filename);
    I tried this but it didn't work:
    String path2 = ("C:/JFiles/Harvest/");
    String filename2 = path2 + "Harvest_targets.txt";
    PrintStream ps2 = System.out;
    System.setOut(ps2);
    System.out.println("Using file: " + filename2);
    File file2 = new File(filename2);
    FileOutputStream fos2 = new FileOutputStream(file2);
    PrintStream ps3 = new PrintStream(fos2);
    System.setOut(ps3);
    What I wanted to do was briefly switch the output stream back to the command prompt just to print the one line and then switch back to printing to a text file. However, in my code, System.out.println("Using file: " + filename2); is just printing to the text file that I'm creating instead of showing up on the command prompt.
    Any help?

  • I set the wrong language how do I change it to English?

    I just got my iPod nano. I accidently set the language in something I cannot read. How can I change it to English?

    Learn that language.
    Just kidding... hit the menu button a few times to make sure you're at the top-level menu. Then scroll down to the sixth option (five clicks down... it's "Settings" in English). Select that, then scroll to the fifteenth option (fourteen clicks down, also the third from the last option... "Language" in English). Select this, then select the first option in this menu. That should be English.

  • Is it possible to script Firefox to do things from the command line?

    Specifically, I am attempting to print a web page at a specific url from the command line.

  • How to set the default component color

    Hi
    I have a JFormattedTextField which is part of a form. Based on user input, if there's something wrong in it, then I colour it pink. I also make it editable(true) or editable(false) based on the mode that I am.
    Problem I have is that once I set the color of it once (to pink), then it won't change the colour of the Textfield based on mode when I call setEditable(true/false) anymore. I want it to "unset" the colour that I did and not have to colour it everytime. I don't want to have to manually change the colour after I set the colour once.
    Can anyone help me with this?
    Thanks!

    Thanks camickr !
    That's exactly what I was looking for. (let the UIManager take care of colors of the textfield whether it's editable or not)
    as for 2nd reply my code is in several files. IF i have to shorten it, it would be:
    it's just a pseudo code and incomplete but it gets the idea across
    * this function automatically changes colors of textfield based on mode which can change any time
    if(mode == NEW_MODE)
    textField.setEditable(true);
    else
    textField.setEditable(false);
    * This function sets the color during save time
    public void save()
    clear();
    if(textField.getText() == null)
    textField.setBackGround(Color.PINK);
    public void clear()
    //reset the color if it's pink or to the original color
    //the color must update once we change mode which is independent of this

    Is there any way to set the static ip address to lwapp AP? If I have changed the controller management ip address, The lwapp AP is not discover and join the controller without DHCP server. right?
    I have tried to set lwapp AP ip address by console, but failed. Is any good idea?

    Hi Ankur,
    I have tried that way, but failed.
    But I have found description below about lwapp AP ip address configuration on cisco web site.
    "The access point stores the address in
    NVRAM so that the static address is preserved across a reboot or power cycle. This is important to remember because an access point static IP address can only be changed through a WLC interface. If you move a statically addressed access point to a different IP network, it will not be able to forward traffic."
    If i have to change lwapp AP's ip address, the WLC is needed.
    Anyway, Thanks your support.
