Set two views in one portal page

Hello all,
I need to set two views in one portal page, or  tow deferent views have to be setted in one view, unfortunately i didn't find anythings in SAP forums about this subject
please help me to reso

Are you saying you have two separate WD Applications (both FPM) which you want to run as two iViews in the same Portal Page?  If so, this is a very basic NetWeaver Portal capability - to add more than one iView to a Page.  However this isn't the correct forum to discuss this, as that discussion would belong in the NetWeaver Portal Forum.

  • Different Layout within a webflow for one Portal Page

    Hi All,
    Can I set different layouts within one portal page journey depending on the hyperlink
    I click on one of the portal page with in a webflow.
    My requirements is such that if user clicks on one of the link on one of the portlet,
    I want to show them the next page with different content in a different layout
    with in same portal page journey.
    Can anyone post the sample code to achieve this.
    Thanks
    Nitin

    1 - you can not change the photo frame size if that is what you are asking
    2 - you can enlarge the photo within the frame by selecting it and using the slider above the frame
    3 - you can use a different page layout -- or even theme -- see Liz Castro's web site for examples of all available layouts for each theme -- http://www.lizcastro.com/iphotobookthemes/

    The first AAA server listed in your config will always be used unless/until it becomes unavailable. At that point the NAD would move down to the next AAA server defined on the list and use that one until it becomes unavailable and then move to third one, and so on.
    If you want to use two AAA servers at the same time then you will need to put a load balancer in front of them. Then the virtual IP (vip) will be listed in the NADs vs the individual AAA servers' IPs.
    I hope this helps!

  • Blank page showing when changing from two column to one column pages

    This is the scenario:
    Document with two master pages - Page1 has two content areas - left column and right column, Page 2 has one content area the full page width named 'FullPage'
    One page set named PageSetOne - with multiple subforms, each with Pagination setting of Following Previous and Continue filling parent.
    Second page set named PageSetTwo - this has a single subform with Pagination setting of place on Page2. The child subform has itself a subform with Pagination setting of Place in Content Area 'FullPage'.
         This page set is initially set to be Hidden.
    Third page set named PageSetThree - this has a single subform with Pagination setting of place in Page 1 and a child subform with Pagination setting of Following Previous.
    [Obviously I am simplifying names and content here].
    The problem is this: when in design mode, there is a blank page showing at the end of the document whenever there are sufficient subforms in PageSetOne such that subforms are displayed in the right hand column.
    When subforms are removed so that nothing is showing in the right hand column then the blank page goes away.
    I have put a marker subform immediately after the last subform in PageSetThree and can see that the blank page is showing after this.
    Also, the following problem:
         When in preview mode, the extra blank page at the end does not display (which is good)
         BUT if the hidden PageSetTwo is made to be visible AND there is content showing in the right hand column prior to it,
         THEN a blank page is displayed just before the newly displayed PageSetTwo page (a single column page on Master page Page2).
    I have tried every combination of Pagination Place before and after settings and can find no way to avoid the blank pages.
    Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on and how I can avoid these blanks showing up?

    I have finally managed to solve this problem.
    The issue was not a subform extending too far out, it was a pagination setting, as Niall suggested.
    I created a blank document to analyse the issue closely, and lo, my new blank doc with all default settings, worked perfectly.
    So I revisited my forms and compared the pagination settings subform by subform.
    This is what I had to change to ensure that all pages flowed with no extras:
    PageSetOne (which is supposed to show using the two column master)
    set the top page Place = ‘In Content Area Leftcolumn’ and After=Continue filling parent
    All child subforms each with Pagination setting of Following Previous and Continue filling parent.
    PageSetTwo (to show in the full page column Master)
    set the top page Place = ‘In Content Area FullPage’ and After=Continue filling parent
    All child subforms each with Pagination setting of Following Previous and Continue filling parent.
    PageSetThree ( back to two column master)
    set the top page Place = ‘On Page1’ and After=Continue filling parent
    All child subforms each with Pagination setting of Following Previous and Continue filling parent.
    I discovered that the critical setting was for PageSetOne. The After setting needed to be Continue filling Parent
    Once I had those settings in order then the form performed as required.
    This has been a frustrating learning experience but at least ultimately successful.

  • Set isolatedHtmlContainer height when displaying portal page

    Hi,
    I have a portal application which displays portal pages from the pcd in isolatedHtmlContainer.
    The page's content is dynamic so the height is not fixed and therefore in the page's properties the height's value set to 'Automatic'
    However, when working with isolatedHtmlContainer the height could be set in pixels or percentage only (I cannot set it to 'Automatic').
    p.s
    If the height was fixed I could get it by the profile of IPortalComponentContext, but if I will do that I'll get a string like 'Automatic' which doesn't help me...)
    Thanks,
    Omri

    Hi Martin,
    I read the blog but the javascript doesn't affect my IsolatedHtmlContainer.
    Let me rephrase my question:
    In the portal innerpage I display X IsolatedHtmlContainers (my application decides how many pages to display). Each container has dynamic content (a portal page from the pcd), therefore, I have a problem setting the height of the IsolatedHtmlContainers (too low - scrolling bar, too high - blank space).
    The properties of the portal pages from the pcd are set as follows:
    isolation method - URL
    height method: Automatic
    If I display the pages without the IsolatedHtmlContainers, the 'Automatic' feature works and the page's size is OK.
    So my question is:
    Is there a way for the IsolatedHtmlContainer adjust its size according to its content?
    Thanks,
    Omri

  • Two views on one entity

    Hi,
    I am using ADF. I have one entity with one attribute called Attr. I´ve created two view objects on this entity. Let´s name them v1 and v2 and there row objects v1row and v2row
    When I execute v1row.setAttr and commit the transaction the call to v2row.getAttr returns the original value and not the new one. In my opinion this happens due to the caching mechanism.
    How can notify all views that there underlying entity has changed?
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Christian

    I implemented two changes:
    1. Disabled database trigger
    2. replaced validate/postchanges with commit
    myAm = getNotificationImplApplicationModule();
    Test1ViewImpl v1 = myAm.getTest1View1();
    Test1View2Impl v2 = myAm.getTest1View2();
    Test1ViewRowImpl v1row;
    Test1View2RowImpl v2row;
    System.out.println("executeQuery for both views");
    System.out.println("table has exactly one row");
    v1.executeQuery();
    v2.executeQuery();
    System.out.println("navigate to first row of view 1");
    v1.first();
    v1row = (Test1ViewRowImpl)v1.getCurrentRow();
    System.out.println("V1, before setVt1:" + v1row.getVt1());
    v1row.setVt1("changed text through v1");
    System.out.println("V1, after setVt1:" + v1row.getVt1());
    System.out.println("commit changes to database");
    myAm.getDBTransaction().commit();
    System.out.println("navigate to first row of view 2 without requery");
    v2.first();
    v2row = (Test1View2RowImpl)v2.getCurrentRow();
    System.out.println("V2 without requery:" + v2row.getVt1());
    System.out.println("now requery view 2 and navigate to first row");
    v2.executeQuery();
    v2.first();
    v2row = (Test1View2RowImpl)v2.getCurrentRow();
    System.out.println("V2 with requery:" + v2row.getVt1());
    The result now is:
    04/07/26 10:24:20 executeQuery for both views
    04/07/26 10:24:20 table has exactly one row
    04/07/26 10:24:22 navigate to first row of view 1
    04/07/26 10:24:23 V1, before setVt1:initial text in database
    04/07/26 10:24:24 V1, after setVt1:changed text through v1
    04/07/26 10:24:24 commit changes to database
    04/07/26 10:24:25 navigate to first row of view 2 without requery
    04/07/26 10:24:26 V2 without requery:initial text in database
    04/07/26 10:24:29 now requery view 2 and navigate to first row
    04/07/26 10:24:53 V2 with requery:changed text through v1
    As you can see view 2 still gives the initial value without requery.

  • Information from two views in one report

    I posted a thread earlier but I think I was little amibiguous about my problem and posted too much info. on the background of the problem maybe I can clarify.
    I have a report on a view TRK_CALLS_VIEW. This is dblinked to a table. Columns include
    User_
    Assigned_to
    Problem
    Solution
    Status
    Here is my region source code:
    SELECT webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW.ID, webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW.USER_, webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW.ASSIGNED_TO, webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW.PROBLEM, webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW.SOLUTION, webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW.STATUS
    FROM webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW
    WHERE
    ( STATUS = 'Open' and :P2_REPORT_SEARCH is null )
    or
    ( regexp_like( USER_ || '#' || ASSIGNED_TO || '#' || PROBLEM || '#' ||
    SOLUTION || '#' || STATUS, :P2_REPORT_SEARCH, 'i' ) )
    I want to include columns from another view in the report. TRK_USER_VIEW.
    Columns include:
    id
    lname
    fname
    User_ from TRK_CALLS_VIEW contains the same number as id in TRK_USER_VIEW.
    How would I add this to my existing code and have the names corespond to the correct id
    Thanks

    so in the above code you can see that both the webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW and webb.TRK_USER_VIEW have some column that are named the same. eg/ "USER_","id". That is fine as SQL has provided a means to uniquely identify the columns. When you join these two views together and try to select or reference either the USER_ or id column without specifying which view you want to get the information from then that creates ambiguity and the compiler does not know if you want the USER_ form view 1 or view 2 and thus there is an error.
    To solve this issue we need to use . (dot) notation to specify the object (in this case view) which holds the column we want. We will also alias columns which share the same name. Here is how we would modify the above SQL statement:
    SELECT
    ------ View 1 ------
           tcv.ID          "TCV_ID", -- ID has been aliased to a unique name.
           tcv.USER_,
           tcv.ASSIGNED_TO,
           tcv.PROBLEM,
           tcv.SOLUTION,
           tcv.STATUS,
    ------ View 2 -------
           tuv.id          "TUV_ID", -- ID has been aliased to a unique name.
           tuv.lname,
           tuv.fname
    -- also i used the alias tcv and tuv so that i could refer to the views by just using the alias rather than the lengthy view name.
    FROM webb.TRK_CALLS_VIEW tcv,
         webb.TRK_USER_VIEW tuv
    -- This is where we JOIN the views on a key value. In this case USER_.
    -- Always make sure your joins are the first portion of your where clause.
    WHERE tcv.USER_ = tuv.USER_
    -- I have explicetly referenced the view i want the column to come from by putting
    -- "tcv." infront of each column name. This tells the compiler to use TRK_CALLS_VIEW
      AND ( tcv.STATUS = 'Open' and :P2_REPORT_SEARCH is null )
       OR ( regexp_like( tcv.USER_ || '#' || tcv.ASSIGNED_TO || '#' || tcv.PROBLEM || '#' ||
          tcv.SOLUTION || '#' || tcv.STATUS, :P2_REPORT_SEARCH, 'i' ) )
    {code}

  • Setting the view width on tab pages

    can anyone tell me where and what values to set for a tab page to display as spread table over the entire width of the tab page. The spread table look is ok, but there is only about half the tab page used.
    On the second tab page there are two blocks with the second one placed "right of" the first. These two fill out the available width of the tab page.
    All suggestions are welcome!!!!

  • Two View Objects & One Entity Object

    Has anyone ever had it where they create a row from a view object, set some attributes, insert it into that view object, and it shows up in another view object (as well as the one the row was actually inserted on)? Both of these view objects are using the same single entity object, it's just that their where clauses are slightly different. When I do a commit and then executeQuery, all is good and the new row only shows up in the intended view object.
    Here is the code in my app module to do a row insertion on one of the view objects.
    public void addQCNote(int userID, Number theStudyID, String theNote)
              try
                   //StudyFtsViewObjImpl freeTextVO = getStudyFtsViewObj();
                   StudyFtsQCOnlyViewObjImpl freeTextVO = getStudyFtsReadOnlyViewObj();
                   freeTextVO.setWhereClauseParam(0, theStudyID);
                   DBSequence freeTextTypeCode = null;
                   StudyFTSQCCodeValueViewObjImpl freeTextCodeValue = getStudyFTSCodeValueViewObj();
                   freeTextCodeValue.executeQuery();
                   Row[] freeTextCodeValueCurrentRowArray = freeTextCodeValue.getAllRowsInRange();
                   // There SHOULD only be one ... but if there is more, pick one - geeez.
                   for (int i = 0; i < freeTextCodeValueCurrentRowArray.length; i++)
                        Row currentFTRow = freeTextCodeValueCurrentRowArray[0];
                        freeTextTypeCode = ((DBSequence) (currentFTRow.getAttribute(StudyFTSQCCodeValueViewObjRowImpl.CODEVALUE1)));
                   Row freeTextRow = freeTextVO.createRow();
                   // Sets up default values for insertion into db at commit time
                   freeTextRow.setAttribute(StudyFtsQCOnlyViewObjRowImpl.PARENTENTITYID, theStudyID);
                   freeTextRow.setAttribute(StudyFtsQCOnlyViewObjRowImpl.PARENTENTITYNAME, "STUDY");

                   freeTextRow.setAttribute(StudyFtsQCOnlyViewObjRowImpl.CREATEDID, new Number(userID));
                   freeTextVO.insertRow(freeTextRow);
                   freeTextVO.setCurrentRow(freeTextRow);

  • 500 Internal Server Error while trying to view report from portal page

    Hello guys,
    We are using BI7. while accessing the queries for the reports, its displaying  the 500 Internal Server Error. The error message is:
    500 Internal Server Error
    Failed to process request; contact your system administrator
    BEx Web Application " I_Qnc()2ex.........(etc) does not exist.The application was either ended by a timout or an error occured.
    Need your help on this..
    Thanks in Advance,
    Yogesh.

    In which environment are you running this query? Is it Dev. system or Quality/testing or Production ?
    1.Generally in most of the cases this will be a TimeOut Error, but not necessarily just that,500 Error applies to variety of problems within the server.
    Try and restrict the query to populate less amount of data and check if you get teh same error, if so the check for latest OSS note, have a look at your SP level as well before  applying the oss note if relevant.
    2. If this doesnt solve,then  recheck the query.
    Due to large amounts of data in production the OLAP  and front -end might require more amount of time than assigned, though not recommended, you can check by changing the waiting time just for thsi query to make sure that this is the problem and not something else which requires basis assistance.

    Hi Susan,
    In that case I will recommend that you consult a local technician/IT team and see if there is some network connectivity issue with your machine.

  • Iterating through master view objects and child view objects in same page

    I am working on a project using ADF UIX and Business Components.
    I have an application module with two view objects one the master view object and the second the detail object. They are related via a view link.
    I would like to iterate through the master view objects displaying a customer name as bold text and then below each customer name I'd like to display the detail records in a table via the detail view object i.e. a seprate table for each customer.
    Is this possible - I haven't had much luck!?
    Thanks in advance.

    That's because
    $(".ms-vb2 a").
    is bringing back all the pieces that have that class with an anchor on the whole page, not just the ones in the .ms-wpContentDivSpace
    I don't know the exact syntax, but I think you need to iterate through all the '.ms_vb2 a' items as well - there are multiple ones, and do something like this inside your other grouping
    $(".ms-vb2 a").each(function(index) {
        var val=$(this).html();
       var val2=val.replace(/_/g," ")
       $(this).html(val2);
    That's not quite right but maybe that will help.

  • Making "fit one full page to window" default

    I always like to view documents one full page at a time.  Is it possible to set  "fit one full page to window" as the default view?

    For the original question, you can go to Edit>Preferences>Page display>Default layout and zoom an in the "page layout" drop-down select "Single page".
    If that doesn't work, someone could have added opening preferences at document level using Adobe Acrobat.
