Set_types - Replication from Backend to SRM

Hi all SRM Gurus!
I have this specific problem:
Material Type FERT have been replicated to SRM. For the time of the replication the type didn't include the purchasing view, as it was not intended for purchase.
Now the business wants to make it possible to use the FERT type for purchasing, and therefore the purchasing view has been configured and added on the R3 side. But - when I replicate the product categories, I dont get the Set_type for purchasing in COMM_HIERARCHY. I can add it manually, but this is, from my perspective, not the right way to do it.
Can anyone help me?

As per my undesrtanding, Replicating Material Configuration data from R/3 does not seems to be a good approach at all.
You need to replicate only the Product hierachies (using tcode - COMM_HIEARACHY) in SRM.
Let me know your exact requirements behind this, why you taken this approach ?
What type of EBP scenario you are currently into ? Which SAP Version ?

Use PREPARE_REPLICATION_DATA method from BBP_TRANSDATA_PREP BAdI.
According to your requirement, check field KTOKK from CT_LFA1 importing parameter to replicate or not vendor.

HR Master data replication from R3 to SRM

Hi All,
I am trying to replicate one orguint from R3 to SRM.
So I do PFAL for the orguint on R3 but when I check the Idoc status in SRM using transcation WE02
under Status Record there are four status as 51 With following messages:
1)HR: ALE inbound processing for HR master data
2)Error: insertion of infotype 5585 (return code 6 )
3)Error: insertion of infotype 5582 (return code 6 )
4)Error: insertion of infotype 1001 (return code 6 )
I also checked in SRM PPOSA_BBP , the orguint is not replicated.
Any tips on this?

This is due to incorrect HR Master Data Maintainanxce...
Plz go to Transactioon:PA30 Maintain HR Master
and maintain/check the Infotypes 5585, 5582 ,1001 etc
that are shown in the Error Messages of reflection of HR Master to SRM
once after maintaining do the replication again using PFAL(Use Insert option instead of Update)

Questions regarding HR Org Structure replication from ECC to SRM

Hi Experts ,
We have SRM7.0 ( SP08) with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario .
I managed to replicate entire HR Org Structure from ECC system to SRM system. I replicated O (Organization), S( Postion) and P ( Person), which successfully created O, S and CP in SRM with BP for O and US...Refered Note 934372, 312090, 550055 and help link on SDN./wiki.....etc
Now I have below questions in mind.
1. In SRM we requiers Org unit for Company Code, Purchase Organization and Purchase Group...which we set in FUNCTION tab for the requiered Org Unit with Checkbox and value of it and Logical system.....but in HR Org strcuture we do not have such Org Unit....so how to manage/create such these Org Units ( i.e.Company Code, Purchase Organization and Purchase Group ) ?...
Do I need to create these Org unit manually in SRM in PPOSA_BBP ? If yes, can I create these Org Unit above or between these replicated HR Org Units or I need to created it separtly in paralllel to these HR replicated Org Units?
2. If above I do, then what will impact on the delta /change replication from HR integraion ?
3. In ECC HR org Structure there are hundres of employee, out of that I just wanted to send the Postion ( we have postion based security in HR) whom only SRM Role had assigned . How it can be acheived ?

Initially when I repliacted P of HR Org Struture it sucessfully craeted BP in SRM and was CP in Org Structure.
But suddenly , what happned don;t know, when I replicating Employees (P) in SRM , it is assigning to respective Postion (S), but BP is not creating in SRM and in the USERS_GEN for this User, its postion and ORg Unit to whom it assigned is giving below error
Determination of connections to object 'BP' of 'CP' '00000015' failed
Message no. BBP_UM_UI036
I checked all this as per Note 550055, 934372..etc....checked respetcive setting in table T77S0...I checked address alos....but no any clue......IDoC in SRM posting sucessfully....
Can anyone please suggest what should be the cause and solution of it ?

Delivery address replication from ECC to SRM

Hello All
We are onboarding a punch-out vendor in SRM. The Vendor said that they won't read the delivery address sent by us in the PO output, but would rather pre-store all the delivery addresses and their codes.
The code would be auto read & this way they can ship immediately with just 1 day lead time.
We are using classic scenario and noticed that when the PO is created in the backend, it always creates a new address number each time , even for the same address.
We are mulling about a process where the Ship to address would be created in ECC and replicated to SRM , with the same number as ECC.
So my question is :
1) Is it possible to replicate the Addresses from ECC to SRM using any report or ALE?If yes what is the process for the same.
2) Can we maintain the number range of the Ship to address object in SRM as external, so that ECC and SRM has the same #s.

Ans : You can create delivery address in SRM from ECC by creating a Report and Utilizing RFC function module to read address
data from ECC and creating the same in SRM through FM BBP_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD [i hope the FM is correct as i do not have the system now].
I dont know of any standard interface though ....
2) Can we maintain the number range of the Ship to address object in SRM as external, so that ECC and SRM has the same #s.
Ans : Does not look possible to be .. since there are amny type of addresses in the system all uses the same internal number range. You can utilize some of unused field in delivery address to store the address number of ECC system like Building code , Street_suppl 3 etc ...
However i suggest do not make things complex and keep it simple.

SRM 7 - Contract replication from ERP to SRM

Hi all,
We have SRM 7 and ECC 6.0 and we have a requirement to have contract handling for invoices functionality, in SRM, in order to create invoices with reference to a contract directly.
We want to have ERP system as the central repository for all contracts, meaning that we need to replicate the contracts to SRM, and all the changes made to the contract in ERP side should also be replicated to SRM.
Does anyone know if this scenario can be done as per standard? And if so, how can we replicate the ERP contracts to SRM and ensure that all the changes made in ERP will be replicated to SRM?

So we should consider the scenario where SRM is the central repository for the contracts, and all the changes done in SRM should be replicated to ERP.
In this scenario, do you know which steps should be done to allow contract replication from SRM to ERP? I already created a central contract in SRM but there is no message sent to PI.

HR Master Date replication from HR to SRM

can any one please give me some input about how the replication done from HR to SRM system. what is the Basic and message type used for this replication and which program trigger from HR system to replication an organization data?

Hi John,
HR replication from R/3 to SRM is carried out by following these steps:
1.) setting up the distribution model in SRM and R/3 for message type HRMD_ABA. You can set up number of filters in this message type, where you define HR infotypes, subtypes, object type and so on.
2.) Once you set up the distribution model, distribute the model.
3.) Report RHALEINI is used to replicate the distribution model from R/3 to SRM in the insert mode. (You can also use transaction code PFAL).
4.) Ongoing replication if performed in the update mode from R/3 to SRM will cause problems of users being broken in sporadic cases. It is advisable to use change pointers from BD14 to perform the ongoing replication.
There is an SAP docuemntation of EBP transports which explains in detail the replication. Hope this information helps.

Material replication from ECC to SRM

Dear SRM 7.0 Experts,
We are implementimg SRM 7.0 and we are trying to execute the Initial Load of materials into SRM 7 from ECC. We have completed all the Middleware settings and all the customising required for material replication. Whe we run the initial load (tcode R3AS) and select the first object DNL_CUST_BASIS3, it runs but the status remains "Running" in R3AM1. There is no errors in SMQ1as the entry runs and completes and therefore disappears. There is no errors recorded in SMW0 or SLG1 either. What could be the problem?
I checked in SMQ1 & SMQ2 as well, but there is no entries here for the object DNL_CUST_BASIS3. what we can do to resolve the issue ?

Have you checked the outbound queue in backend R/3 system ?
Have you defined the additional user in CRMCONSUM table apart from the CRM user?
Verify and, if necessary, change or insert entries in tables CRMCONSUM and CRMRFCPAR as
described in SAP Note 430980. See also SAP Note 720819.

Material Replication from ECC to SRM 7.0

I am working on Extended classic scenario SRM 7.0 with ECC 6.0, I have created the Material Group and Master data in ECC system. While doing replication via R3AS i am getting the following error msg( I have applied Note 720819 & 330401in ECC ).
Errors:
Hierarchy for material types does not exist
(Before materials are imported from the ERP system, the material types from the ERP system must exist as categories in CRM/EBP. When the Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1 is imported, the material types are imported automatically and created under the category MAT in the category hierarchy R3PRODSTYP (product subtype).)
MATERIAL: Object will not be loaded
Pl do the needful.

Steps to create the product category in SRM:
1) Create MM material groups in ECC client. This will create a transport. Go to SRM Tcode R3AS and select the object u201CDNL_CUST_PROD1u201D from the list and run it. You can monitor the job using R3AM1 in SRM. This will bring the material group into SRM. This can be seen in TCode u201CCOMM_HIERARCHYu201D in SRM.
2) Once it is done. Go to IMG in SRM and go to path SRM> SRM server> Cross app biz settings> Account aassigmnet> Define GL code for Acc *** Cat and Prod Cat. Maintain the GL code against this prod cat for all the account assignment codes. This is client specific setting and need to be done in every client by opening it. This GL code is given in the form in ticket.
3) Do a test and check if the product category is available for procurement in SC.

hai to all of u my friends....recently i have learned sap srm 5.0..and now i am practicing in my institute from starting configuration with a fresh client.everything has done successfully except replication of material master.while doing material master replications the system throws an error like" product hierarchy has not maintained" and one more error while executing smq2.. like "exception condition :guid forlogsys_changed"raised....thanks in advance

It seems that the logical system name has been renamed or changed. You need to update the config tables. Fix it using Trx BDLS.

How to send PR from backend to SRM ?

In the backend I have customized that I want to transfer certain purchase requisitons to the srm system for the approval process. so I set up the t160ex table and t160PR table with the relevant data.
I have checked the used rfc connections but no shoppincarts appear in the srm system when saving a PR in the backend.
do I miss certain steps in this scenario ?
I have found this thread and on the srm side also implemented the badi BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI
and had set the filter to BUS2121

yep first aim is to find out why the eprtrans table was not updated. I found that out now thanks to note 428116

SU01-user replication from HR to SRM

Hello together,
I have a question. We have a central SAP HR tool which contains all SU01 users of the company. We would like to replicate all SU01 users which are maintained in the HR tool to SRM. This is not about creating BPs or integrating them to the PPOMA. The background is that the HR-Structure is quite different to the purchasing strcuture in SRM. Second thing is that not all users in HR need to be active in SRM at the moment <10%.
This is only the replication of all SU01 users.
Any idea? I appreciate your feedback.

Means we have a scheduling agreement in backend but the further process we have to do in SRM like schedule lines generation.

Material Replication from Backend: DNL_CUST_PROD0 is stuck in SMQ2

Hi Experts,
I am getting this error while running R3AS for DNL_CUST_PROD0 adapter and checking the SMQ2 is getting into SYSFAIL status. The detail error says "Incorrect parameter with CALL FUNCTION" for Function Module BAPI_CRM_SAVE
Even, adapter DNL_CUST_PROD1, is getting SYSFAIL error in SMQ1. The detail error is Filter criteria Invalid on function module CRS_FIRST_DOWNLOAD_TRIGGER

Here is the possible solution. Ii was facing this issue however was able to do.
First goto SMOEAC and check wheather CRM is connected with correct site attribute or not.
Then check all the RFC connection.
delete all the existing queues and R3AM1
now goto R3ac3
refresh all the Load and try again i Hope it should work and also maintain
system landscape in technical basic setting in SRM GUI(SPRO)

Replication from Multiple HR systems

Hi SRM Gurus,
has anyone ever had the requirement to replicate HR data (Org, Positions, Central Persons) from more than one HR system?
At the first glance, I technically do not see why it should not be possible. Setting up the ALE distribution modell on multiple HR backends and processing the docs should work, shouldn't it?
Any ideas, suggestions, hints, reads, practical experience for me?

Yes. As long as you maintain separate distribution model for each client, you can distribute the same content to 'N' receiving systems.
Message type used is HRMD_ABA.

The program to run from R3 is rhaleini, you'll find more information about this replication in note 312090.
Did you already read OSS note 588701 "Change of the logical system name in R/3 Backend system " ?
Also Check the note 765018. In case of multiple backends and also if systems are refreshed with other instances (client copy), the logical system ID will be changed. So we need to run the report mentioned in the said note and run the replication.
Please check the note 934372 SRM/CRM: HR integration for business partner - new. or post the specific problem.
