I need to create a po with fixed vendor throgh transaction me59.

I am using BAPI_REQUISTION_CREATE to create a purvchase requistion.As soon as i am creating Purchase Requistion and i checked EBAN table with that requistion Number i found a value under fixed vendor column.
as you mentioned two ways
1)user profile parametrs -can you please tell me what is that and where should i go to check it.
2)can you tell me the user exit for defaulting the vendor value.
I have never done that please let me know.

Hi,
my requirement is to copy the fixed vendor address to text object( available in the text tab of the VA01 transaction).
I am entering the article numbers in the va01 transaction with some 5 item numbers.
i am getting the Purchase requisition number(BANFN) and BNFPO( purchase req item number) from the VBEP table .
after getting the BANFN & BNFPO i have to pick the fixed vendor for the corresponding item number from EBAN.
EBAN is holding the values for only the last item number .
can u please tell me the internal table associated EBAN.
I am using the USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT from the include MV45AFZZ.
Is there any other way so that i can pick fixed vendor for an given article.?

How to set a fixed width for a box

Hi there,
Struggling here.... must admit.
I need a solution whereby I can set a fixed width for a box that is grouping two buttons. I suppose generally, I want to know how to set a fixed width for anything element.
See the picture below. I want the two buttons to stay the same distance apart, and I want the grouped buttons to stay the same distance from the right edge of the window, even as a user resizes the window.
This is what happens when you reduce the size of the window .....
I would like to stop this from happening.
I can't figure out how accomplish keeping the parent div a fixed width, and a fixed position from the right side of the window, so the buttons won't overlap.
Perhaps I'm doing the whole thing wrong.
I mean, is there a way to accomplish this without grouping the buttons? That is, make the buttons fixed width, fixed distance apart from each other, and fixed distance from the right side of the window, even as the user resizes the page?
I am trying to accomplish this using the Min/Max width settings, but given that there are so many different units to choose from, and the fact that when I place a button or box on the screen, it seems to be creating that button or box with a percentage-based width, I don't know how many pixels to set it to.... sigh....

Okay after much futzing I figured out at least part of the solution I need, but if someone knows of a more efficent way to do this please let me know.
I set a fixed minimum width in pixels for both of the buttons at 156px.
I then made the left button float left and the right button float right.
I then made the parent div for the buttons float right.
That made the buttons stay the same size.
The only thing I need to figure out how to do now is make the parent div stay a consistent distance in pixels from the right. I tried setting a right margin but that didn't work. As you size the window down, the div gets closer to the edge, until it passes it.

you can change through bdc. you may need to loop through the list of materials if the same changes need to updated.

Field fixed vendor for purchase requisition (component of project)

Dear all,
Could you please indicate us how we can automatic fill the field "Fixed Vendor" (FLIEF) in a purchase requisition comming from a component of an activity (of a project)?
The field "Desired Vendor" (LIFNR) is filled automatic in the purchase requisition, based on the vendor given on the activity (field: RESBD-LIFNR)...
We want that both fields (fixed and desired vendor) are filled automatic in the purchase order...

If you have maintained source list(ME01) and "info record"(ME11) for the desired vendor and material combination. It will default as "fixed vendor" in PR. Of course when you copy PR into PO, it is going ot copy the same.

Fixed Vendor for Materials

Is it possible to take the report like, for a specific vendor code, for which materials that vendor has marked as Fixed vendor.
(I'm having only vendor code, by using that vendor code only i need to get the materials which this vendor as Fixed Vendor)
Which transaction i can get that report.

Fixed and Non fixed vendor for material procurement

Hi,
We need to have fixed vendors to procure materials but incase if we couldnt find the materials with the fixed vendor or if we need to procure the same material from a different vendor. Please let me know if we need to maintain source list in this scenario, we also dont maintain any agreements with vendors.

Set Parameter ID Value for Search-Help S_MAT1

Hi Experts,
How can I set the parameter id value of Sales Organization (VKO) as default to a user that will also appear on search-help S_MAT1 (material search-help)?
I have already set the Parameter default in SU3/SU03, used tcde SU56 and relogged-in but still not defaulting to a specific VKO in the Material Search-Help Field.

not 100% the same question. Is it also possible to exclude specific values for specific users in the standard search help? Is that possible?
Or other / second question is it possibel in the S_MAT1 to exclude values?
I only know how to include / select on a value but there's nothing mentioned how to exclude values or how to do a multiple selection. Is that possible?

Java Mail,SMTP server not starting,help required urgently

Hi i have been working on java mail .Yesterday it was working ok but today suddenely i am getting this thing.its not starting the smtp server i guess,just exiting and get the command prompt ..dont know what to do.help required how to go about this error

The debug output doesn't show an obvious problem. You're
going to have to actually debug your program. A debugger
might be helpful.

Setting a FIXED size for a report

How can I make it so that my report will all ways print off 6 pages. Even if it only uses up 2 pages it will still print off 6? Or if it spans 7 pages only print off 6?
I am using Reports 6i and outputing to PDF...
I have tryed to make little white lines that you could not see on 6 pages... untill the report gets to be and it starts to span 8 pages when it is only on 4...
Can any one help me??

Sorry, there is no way to do that in Safari at this time. Your only option would be to use a custom stylesheet, which is not something the average user could do.
You can suggest adding that feature to Apple here Mac OS X Feedback. There is an add-on for Firefox 2 and 3 that will let you set the size for specific sites: NoSquint if you really think you need that ability.

Hi . sorry for such simple question..
I have displayed 3 different blocks on a same canvas1 and one block on tab canvas placed on the canvas1
Now i made a menu bar where one of my menu is
view data.
behind that menu i m writing the code.
select st_id from Site where st_id = :txtstid;
but when i compile it says bad bind variable :txtstid;
when i remove the colon, it says identifier required txtstid...
Now what to do..
Then i wrote..
go_block('Site');
go_item('item1')
and now it compiled properly but when i run it .. it is not giong to that item..
may b i m doing something wrong.. how to interact with menu s..
cant i put the same functionality behind them as we do behind button press triggers..
I need to do it urgent so kindly asses what is happening ..
cant we place more than one block on same canvas and then access thier items
with the block name.
like Site.stid.
stid by the way is the text item.. that contains the site ids.. at run time..
Kindly gimme some advices. the form is so large that it is not easier me making it again..

How do I set a fixed size for a window (frame) :P

Was wondering if I can set fix dimensions (size) for a window(frame) in Java.
Background: I have a menu and when I click on one of the options a window opens but I hate the fact that I can enlarge it...wish it would be fixed sized and have scroll instead... :P

sorry for not using the swing forum but i considered java programming forum as more or less enclosing all problems Do you understand how to use forums? First you should be searching the forums to see if you questions has been asked and answered before. (Very few questions posted in the forums are original). It makes sense to search the forum where the questions should have been posted in the first place.
For example, if you had searched the Swing forum using "fixed size jframe" you would have found this posting at the top of the search results:

Oracle 8i us7ascii character set problem - help required urgent.

I have a oracle 8i database server installed on sun solaris os. The database character set is us7ascii. In one of the tables TIFF images are stored in a long column. I m trying to fetch these images using oracle 9i client and visual basic(oracle ODBC drivers). But i m unable to do so. I can not fetch special characters.
Is it because of the character set problem? but when i run my code on the server itself, i m able to fetch the images. I tried to fetch the images using oracle 8 i client on windows XP machine but could not do so. Are there any special settings that i have to do on the client side?

Indeed, it's an ODBC issue. Read this statement from Oracle:
From ODBC 8.1.7.2.0 drivers onwards it's NOT possible any more to
"disable" Characterset conversion by specifying for the NLS_LANG
the same characterset as the database characterset. There is now
ALWAYS a check to see if a codepoint is valid for that characterset.
Typically you will encounter problems if you upgrade an environment
that has NO NLS_LANG set on the client (or US7ASCII) and the database
was also US7ASCII. This incorrect setup allowed you to store characters
like èçàé in an US7ASCII database, with the new 8i drivers this is not possible
any more.
Basic problem is the 'wrong' characterset US7ASCII in the database. As long as no characterset conversion happens (that's the case on the unix server), special characters are no problem.
