I purchased the software and can not complete set up. Is there a way to see if my computer is compatable with the software and see where it is lacking?

Alright so this is what happened, the last time my computer crashed my dad had to restart it because the virus was so bad, he even reinstalled windows and all for me, except when I went to find my Photoshop elements that was included with my deal on my mini hp tord boontjie, I couldnt find it. I must have thrown it out when I moved without realizing it, and I was wondering if its possible to get a reinstall of this product because im not willing to pay that much for photoshop elements. It didnt come on the computer, it was in a seperate box inside the same box, so you had to upload it on there with a memory card, im asking about the photoshop elements, if its possible to recover that, because the only reason I bought the laptop was for the photoshop included in the deal..

We sincerely apologize for the problem customers are facing while using a trackpad with Photoshop Elements 11 & 12 on Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite).
We have been actively working with Apple to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We're hopeful this will get completely resolved in an upcoming update of Yosemite(MAC 10.10).
In the meanwhile, you have two options to work around this problem:
1. Option1: Use a mouse instead of the trackpad
2. Option2: Install a plug-in which should workaround the problem
Plug-in installation instructions:
1. Close Photoshop Elements
2. Download this zip file to a location you can easily find (e.g. your desktop)
3. Unzip the file, WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin, and move it to the Plug-In folder:
• For Elements 12 – //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 12/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
• For Elements 11 - //Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Plug-Ins/
You can verify the plug-in is installed by launching the Photoshop Elements Editor and choosing Help > System Info... Scroll to the bottom of the text in the dialog and look for the plug-in name "WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin".
Note: This plugin is a temporary workaround and should be used until this issue is addressed in Mac OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Please remove this plugin once the issue is officially resolved by Apple.
If you are using a stylus in conjunction with a trackpad, you might see issues with your trackpad. Workaround in this particular case is to use mouse instead of the trackpad.

Those are Lightroom tools for those who don't want to use a regular pixel editor like Photoshop or Elements which have much more powerful tools to do that.
The idea with the reduced set of feature in the ACR version of Elements is that features available in Elements are not necessary in ACR. You need to use the Elements editor more frequently than if you are working with Lightroom.

Installer for Photoshop Elements 9.0

Hi,
I bought the licence for Photoshop Elements 9 via the website less than a year ago. I am now using a new machine, as my previous one went to Mac heaven. Please can you point me to the Photoshop Elements 9.0 installer so that I can download it and set it up on my new machine? I have no interest in purchasing Elements 10. I have barely used Elements 9, so I want to use it some more to get my money's worth!
(BTW, I do have backups of the old machine - the data, but not the installer.)

Wow styles for Photoshop Elements

I purhcased the wow styles for photoshop elements some years ago up until now they have always worked with all my versions but for some reason they do not work in the latest elements 9. The files are the same format but when you add them to the preset folder they simple do not apear as in earlier versions. I have tried a few plugins and they do appear after they have been added to the relevant folder. I have tried with and without a master folder. Any one got any suggestions as to what has changed? I really miss using these great styles and 3 wow styles are still included in the main program so i am at a loss to understand why they no longer work.

If that's true that's sad. Strange too as they still work up to at least CS3 in Photoshop. I'm really curious as to why a set of layer styles would stop working. Did you jump through all the extra hoops needed to get layer styles to show up in Photoshop Elements in recent versions?

I guess if worse came to worse you could open your older version of elements and make up a PSD to store all of your Wow styles. Make a separate layer for each style; apply style; name layer for style. Open this document when needed. Right click layer style layer in your layers palette and select "Copy Layer Style"; go to layer you desire this effect and right click the layer and select "Paste Layer Style". I know kind of a pain but probably faster than transferring back and forth between two versions of Elements.

I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but get the same error message.

Which version of OS X do you have? It's not clear from your post whether "installed an upgrade" means you just installed PSE 13 as an upgrade or you installed an update to PSE 13, like ACR 9 or 13.1. Please clarify.

When I hit the Buy Now button I am put in a field to buy Photoshop Elements 13, with no way to change to Elements 10. Adobe does not sell older versions of their software. If you wish to purchase an older version you will have to find and take your chances with a third party vendor.

Download error for Photoshop Elements 11

I am trying to download Photoshop Elements 11 and keep getting an error that my browser is "out of date/IE4 or earlier" but I currently have Internet Explorer 10 on my computer. Why have I gotten this error about 10 times. I have also downloaded the most current Adobe Reader and Flash Player which has not made a difference.
