Set up new BSP project
Hello experts. Want to you suggest me best solution of my task. Requirements of an app (mobile) are following :
1. when user opens app on device - He sees some data from SAP on UI, but He does not need to login (some hardcoded user need to be used here).
2. App has setting tab where credentials/client/language need to be defined. If user decide to change/create some data from backend - He need to become logged with credentials/client from an setting page . In case credentials not defined - see logon screen with 4 fields(credentials/client/language). After user makes some changes (or in 5 min) He becomes logged with user from step 1.
Currently I am thinking about following solution:
1. For accessing common data I will just create an ICF service with hardcoded user/pass/client/lang. Here no problem.
2. When user click create/update button - system checks whether credentials filled on settings tab. If yes - send service to SAP with data for login. (Here I have problem). Could someone share please an information about login/logout to SAP via REST service. In my opinion from frontend point of view we need service:
$.post('https://myHost/loginMe',data).
Currently I login to BSP application via SAP form submit. Have an idea just to hide that form and if credentials persist - submit it.
I dunno how correct is to use BSP application and separate ICF service in 1 small application . Heard that more secure is to use only 1 point for connection in ICF tree. Maybe I don't need that ICF service, but use only BSP here with often login/logout feature ?
Maybe smb. faced similar issue. Would be great to see service for login via REST on SAP side.

Im having the following errors when creating a New Team Project by Visual Studio on TFS2012 with a Sharepoint Site...
This problem not occurs when i don't select to create a sharepoint site...
My Sharepoint is 2010 with SP2...

According to your post, my understanding is that you had Errors TF30162 and TF250025 when creating a New Team Project in TFS2012 with Sharepoint Site on Visual Studio.
The Errors TF30162 seemed that the reports for TFS could not be uploaded due a permission problem. The fix was really easy.
Go to your team foundation server
Open the administration console.
Click on Reporting
Click on Edit
Click on Reports Tab
Enter the credential for the Reports
Save
Click on Start Jobs
In addtion, the problem may be due to the caching done by Team Explorer in Visual Studio. Exiting the copy of VS on the client and reloading it will fix the problem as the updated team process settings will cached locally.
To resolve the Errors TF250025, you will need to register a new internal URL for the SharePoint site using Alternate Access Mappings.

How do I create a new iDVD project without a theme
I completed an iMovie HD project with an opening title (white letters on black) and all my edited film clips, transitions, sound, etc. It's just the way I want it when I play it back in iMovie. I shared it to Media Browser so I could import it into iDVD. When I start the new iDVD project is appears to force me to choose a Theme. I don't want a new theme. I just want my movie to look just the way I created in iMovie. How do I over ride this step?
A couple of ways to do this ....
1. What I recommend is an "AutoStart Dvd" which involves dragging and dropping your QT movie / file while in mapview to the first / top box. This allows the movie to play in Kiosk Mode and you can also select the loop function so essentially you never actually see a start menu (just the movie) since the dvd will automatically play as soon as it's inserted into most set top dvd players or computers. (the following pic is from iDvd6 however the procedure is idential in iDvd'08 as well).

2. A One Step Dvd from a QT movie / file is also possible and this approach has no menu at all.
To burn a OneStep DVD from a movie on your hard disk:
With iDVD open, choose File > “OneStep DVD from Movie.” as pictured above.
Locate the movie you want to add in the dialog that opens, then click Import.
Insert a blank DVD disc into your computer’s SuperDrive or an external drive when you are prompted to do so.

your BSP page get's integrated via an iFrame. So, simply speaking, it's not possible to pass an parameter back.
But what you can try is to use the Portal DataBag component. In the BSP page, store the information you want to pass in the browser. The iView/Portal than has to check if there is a new parameter / value stored.

Sanwell on unix/Linux/solaris there are no drives but storage heirarchy starts with a root directory represented with ' / '. and all files and directories are created in root directoy like
/usr/local/bin
/export/home/san
etc
also filesystem of unix consists iNodes rathar than FAT entries as in case of Windows.

Adobe Premiere CS6 'Create new Trimmed Project' Crash with .MXF files
Yesterday I started to back up all our students work, and found that the "Create New Trimmed Project" no longer works in CS6 with .MFX files.
Adobe Premiere CS6.0.3, crashes when I try to "Create New Trimmed Project" under "Project Manager"
This only happens when there are .MXF files in the Sequence.
As we use Panasonic P2 cameras at this university, this is a problem, as this is the format that they shoot in.
As a test I have made a Project with only one .MXF file placed on the sequence, and it crashes.
This happens on my Macs and Windows machines with Adobe Premiere CS6 .
Adobe Premiere CS5.5 works fine, and does not crash.
Unfortunately I cant save a CS6 project as a CS5.5
If you don't have any .MXF files to test this,
You can make your own .MXF files by exporting any video file as "MXF OP1a" or "P2 Movie" Format, (the Preset setting is irrelevant - any preset will cause it)
P.S.
Using "Collect files and Copy to new Location" under "Project Manager" works fine, but does not reduce project size as much.I also discovered this behavior last summer. Unfortunately the best (lame) answer I could find was that "Some formats, such as Long GOP based media files, cannot trim media, or add handles." That's not very specific, but in my case at least (and it sounds like in your case, too) .MXF may be another file type that cannot be trimmed. If I remember correctly, the answers I got from others was that they were able to export fine. My machine (and maybe yours) has an issue that nobody else seems to have encountered. So none of the prescribed remedies allowed me to move forward in this regard.
After much searching, asking and several suggestions from various Premiere communities, I gave up and moved on.
Use Remove Unused and then Collect Files and Copy to New Location. At least that can help you if you have a lot of clips. In my case, it didn't help much, because my very short clips were edited from very long takes, so as Premiere sees it, not much was "unused".
Be aware that "Project Manager does not copy and collect After Effects compositions that are dynamically linked to an Adobe Premiere Pro project. Project Manager does save the Dynamic Link clip in the trimmed project as an offline clip, however."

Exercise 9 Creating New Flex Project
Thanks to Ryan aka rsadwick, I was able to get LiveCycle and
the ODT zip file working properly (see his reply to "Problem with
one of the lessons"). Unfortunately when I try and create a new
Flex Project using LCDS I am unable to get past the second step in
the process. Going by the way it is explained in the exercise, with
the updated information, my root folder should point to the odt
dir, however; I have found that if you just got to that dir you
will get this error: Invalid root. The WEB-INF/flex folder must
contain either flex-config.xml or services-config.xml.
So I drilled into the odt dir to find those files and found
them in this sub dir: C:\lcds\tomcat\webapps\odt\WEB-INF\flex, and
I am still getting the same error message, even though both the
flex-config.xml and services-config.xml files are in this dir. I
have tried validating the connection with LCDS running and without
it running with no difference. I'm hoping that someone can help me
with this or if I have made some kind of mistake in the way I
installed the zip file. I am going to try and contact rasdwick and

Field not set: ParentEPSObjectId when creating Project.
Hi everyone,
I'm developing .net application and getting data from primavera by using p6 web service. At the moment I stuck on project creation. I'm using following code to create a new project:

EPS Object ID i'm selecting from lookup. In this lookup datasource I have following fields from ReadEPS: ObjectId, Name, Id, ParentObjectID.
As I understood, I should to get ObjectID of selected EPS and to set as parameter in CreateOneProject function. But it's not working.
Could someone help me?

Did not specify following field: ParentEPSObjectIdSpecified = true. With this field I can save. -
Setting up a coldfusion project in Flex
This is my first time using flex to connect to coldfusion.
I've got the following configuration:
1) Development XP with Flex 3/Adobe CS3
2) Linux webserver running coldfusion 8/MySQL
Up until this point, I have been doing my development on the
XP box and sending my code to the linux server through RDS.
I've got RDS configured on the Flex 3 environment and that
seems to be working ok.
However, when I tried to do file->new>flex project and
set the application server type to Coldfusion I run into problems.
On the second page I have standalone or deployed to J2EE
server.
The next line is "Use default location for local Coldfusion
server" which I deselect (I'm not sure what the default location
really is though...) and set the location to the path
/opt/coldfusion8 which is mapped via samba to z:\coldfusion
Next is the "use built-in coldfusion server". Does this mean
that there is a coldfusion server installed as part of the flex 3
environment?? Anyway, I deselected this option and used the path
z:\wwwroot\WEB-INF\flex but it still asks for the flex-config.xml
which is in that directory and I can browse to it just fine. I'm
not sure what they are asking for on the root URL, I assume where
the actual code will be stored which I have yet another mapping for
that one which is y:\testcf.
I browsed through the forum and found the following article
which spurred me to set up samba for the flex-config.xml file.

How to create/add my new solution/project to Source Control at VS Online?
Hi, I'm using VS2012. I'm logged into VS online and can open the Team Explorer in VS2012. The frustrating thing is how do I add a new solution to source control? I click on the Solution Explorer, Right click on the solution, Select "Add
solution to Source Control". The a pop up dialog shows up with 3 of my Solution/projects that are there.
The problem is i don't want to put this new solution under any of the 3 solutions currently in Source Control in VS Online. I want this to be a new solution/project to be saved in the source control form the root. If I click on the Advanced button,
edit the "Source Control Folder" path to "$/MyNewSolutionName", I then get an error message saying root folder is reserved only for team project. How can I get a new solution/project to the source control? I've done it before
but it seemed to have changed.
Okay, In Source Control Explorer, I select the root, xxxx.visualstudio.com\DefaultCollection. I then select VS "File" menu and in the drop down I selected "New" and then "Team Project". It takes me to a browser and
lands at VS online. I then type in the new team project name. Everything is good so far. I now returns to my VS on my local PC, I right click either the solution or the project in that solution, select "Add solution to Source Control".
The "Add Solution... " dialog then pops up. I selected newly created Team Project, leave everything else in default and select OK and now I get a different error message saying "Fail to create mapping, cannot map server path, $/TeamProject/projectname,
becuase it is not rooted beneath a team project.
How can I fix this and just get my source into the source control? Thank you.

Thank youAssuming you map to yoursite.visualsualstudio.com/defaultcollection you will need to create a team project to upload your stuff. If you are trying to save to $/ that is team project collection level and you can only add team projects at that point.
you can add a new team project with the below picture
Then depending on how you have set up your workspace, and assuming locally that you are in the local workspace you can upload your project. -
When I fire up E11 and select New Project from the welcome screen it defaults to My New Video Project with ready made settings.
How do I get it to default to the New Project Window so I can select the sequence settings.Ann,
From that "welcome screen," I have not found a way to get what you (and I) want directly. However, I just Open a previous Project, then, when it Opens, go to File>New>Project, and set up my New Project from there.
Maybe there is some little tweak, that I have just not found yet.

As a work around , you can create a VM without installing OS and configure the Vlan of VNic , then export it .
The new VM will be with Vlan ID when you import the "export file".(note : you need to select "copy the virtual machine " in the tab "choose import type" during importing ) .

Import FrameMaker info new RoboHelp project with extendscript
Hi,
I have done the following in robohelp 11 from Adobe Technical Communication Suite 5
1) select file|new|project
2) select import tab
3) Select the FrameMaker Documents option icon
This works quit well. I get a new RoboHelp project.
I would like to do the same via a RoboHelp extendScript but I can't get it to work.
Does anyone have some hints or good exampels to be inspired from?

AlexIt does depend on how fancy you want to make it. Creating a GUI with
file picker is quite a bit of work.
But if you only want a script to create a new project and import an FM
book, that's not too hard. For example:

Run RH via command line with the script name as parameter: robohtml.exe
