Setting anchor on export in ECMA 2.0?

I've developed a call-based ECMA 2.0 XMA that exports users to a cloud service and this service authors the anchor. The DN is the users email address. I'm trying to use the seemingly proven approach of letting the XMA assign the anchor to the CS entry
after the user is provisioned in the connected system, but this doesn't seem to be possible with the ECMA 2.0 spec.
The ECMA 1.0 spec seems to be able to just have cs["anchor"] = "blahblah" assigned to it, but in ECMA 2.0 there is no CSEntry, it's CSEntryChange, a sub-set of the connectors attributes that have changed.
You cannot modify the anchor attributes collection on the CSEntryChange object and adding the anchor to the CSEntryChange.AttributeChanges collection doesn't seem to have any effect.
I get the following error after export in the event log:
"Microsoft.MetadirectoryServices.ExtensibleExtensionException: The anchor attributes were not set in export entry.Forefront Identity Manager 4.0.3644.2"
The code I'm using to assign the anchor to the connector is:

Does anyone know how you are meant to let connected-systems author the anchor with ECMA 2.0?

How do I set a PDF Export Preset to force a minimum line weight on output? I'm currently using one that came from a printer that works great - but I can't seem to find the option when creating one myself. I have some placed Illustrator line art that is built with .25 line thickness and when I have it placed at 20% scale the lines are too thin to see in the PDF output.

There is absolutely no way to force minimum line widths within InDesign itself, certainly not as part of the PDF export process!! And even one writes a script to go through every object within an InDesign document and both validate and fix line widths less than some particular threshold, such a script would be useless against placed artwork, the contents of which are not available for manual or programmatic inspection within InDesign.
Note that one should be exceptionally careful in “fixing” hairlines, especially if you are placing vector artwork at very low magnification. It may actually be OK to let certain lines drop out. After a fixup on some content, you could end up with a messy mass of lines.

Not able to set properties for Exported documents

I am pretty new to crystal report, my problem is I export reports into pdf, excel, rtf and doc.
While exporting I want to set document Properties I am using SummaryInfo to fill in the values
SelectedRepDoc.ReportOptions.EnableSaveSummariesWithReport = True
SelectedRepDoc.ReportOptions.EnableSavePreviewPicture = True
SelectedRepDoc.SummaryInfo.ReportAuthor = "TEST"
While debugging I see the values getting set but after export when I open the document and see properties of it its not set.
Also I have to set these values at runtime only because author name can be different based on my application logic.

Character set in MDL export/import

Hi,
we are running OWB 10.1.0.2. In order to get version control, we perform MDL exports of collections from our development environment and then import them into our test and production environments. Each environment uses its own design repository, but all repositories are in the same database.
When doing an export of a collection, we always specify the character set AL32UTF8 because that is what we are running in the repository database. When later doing an import using the graphical user interface, it is not possible to specify the character set (but this can be done when using the import utility). According to the documentation, the GUI import will then assume that the character set in the collection is the character set of the client, which usually is WE8MSWIN1252. (The documentation also says that it IS possible to specify the character set during GUI import, this is obviously a documentation error).
My questions are: What is the point of specifying character set when doing exports and imports? Could an AL32UTF8 export followed by an WE8MSWIN1252 import cause problems? I assume that the character set used by export is specified in the collection file, so does the import then convert it to WE8MSWIN1252 (or the character set specified in the import utility)?
Or, to be more general: What is actually happening with the character sets during MDL export/import?

I think you are not going to loose any data of yours when you migrate the database. You may proceed to the import.

Feature Request: Make a Setting Option for Export - Media - What to Render

As I just changed after many years with Premiere Elements to Pro, I certainly find many things just anconversant.
But there's one thing I really can't take: When I'm trying to render a project, there's a small selection list near the bottom of the "Export Media" window saying "export area". Here I can choose between "complete sequence", "work area", "sequence in/out" and "defined by user". This option jumps always back to "work area"!
That's at least for me very unconveniant, because in 99+ % of my renderings, I need "complete sequence". Normally the software remembers the last used setting, but not in this case. I can imagine that one can fight about what's the best default setting: I Guess everyone is using Premiere differently. So in my opinion a predefined setting option would solve best for all: Just add one mor setting in the Presets section, maybe in "General" or make a new rubric "Export" or something. Just a place where everyone can predefine which setting for the export media area option he likes.
No big deal, just one more presettings option!

Forget to set environment variable export SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME

Dear Experts
we have installed the SAP ECC6.0 EhP4 in HACMP environment with AIX6.1 ,Power HA cluster6.1, oracle 11g database
the problem is while installing the CI and ASCS and Dialog instance I missed to set environment variable
export SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME = <virtual Host Name> and while starting the sap-inst also i didn't start as like
./sapint SAPINST_USE_HOSTNAME = <virtual Host Name>,Now i am facing problem while doing cluster fail over to another node
Node A host Name is not reflecting in Node B and I am not able to start the SAP with host name of Node A
in AIX6.1 in IBM Admin they didnt give any virtual host name they said that they have configured the cluster with two service IP there is no virtual IP in AIX6.1
please help me out how to resolve this host Name issue and to start the SAP in Node B

I dont agree with the AIX 6.1 having no virtual ip's, because i recently installed a HA instance with ASCS, SCS & also ERS on 6.1
to answer your questions:-

This depends on what your requirement is. Typically a cluster will have Oracle on one host and SAP on the other host. Ill explain the VCS concept, so you will have a better understanding.
Lets consider Node1 & Node2. Now each node will have a physical IP and a virtual IP. The Virtual IP will be associated with a set of file systems. For example /oracle will be associated to virtual ip lets say "xyzDB" & the /usr/sap/<sid>, TRANS & sap mount will be associated with virtual ip lets say "abcCI". Now when the cluster fails over to which ever node, these file systems will still be associated with their respective virtual ip's.
So, the start profile will always have START_DVEBMGS_abcCI. Irrespective of which Node the sap is in, when you start the SAP, it will use the virtual hostname and start up SAP. I hope your getting the concept.?
Coming back to the setup, since you have ASCS, Oracle , CI & a dialog instance. Im not sure what file systems you have associated with VCS groups. Can you give command "hastatus -sum" and post the output?

This is inline with what i explained above for cluster mechanism. The physical IP will not change. It is only the virtual IP that is associated with a set of file systems.
Ill give you one more example, Consider the parameter rdisp/mshost = <> . What should this be? Physical host or Virtual host?? :-) .It should be Virtual. Because the CI can be in Node1 or Node2. If we give the physical host, then if the SAP fails over to the other node. How will it start up? because the profiles still say the message server is in the other host... Getting my point?

Set Default QT Export?

I'm selecting various clips throughout my timeline to send to disk, is there a way to set the "File > Export > QuickTime Movie... > Setting" to something other than "Current Settings?"
For instance, at the moment I'd like it to default to "ProRes 1920x1080 24p"

@ Rienk - That isn't my issue, what I was looking for was to have the last setting I selected (either in Batch Export or in QT Movie Export) "Stick" so when I go to do the next set I don't have to re-select all of my settings.
@ Nick - Not a good thing in this case. I need to send out QTs that have the speed change "baked-in" and convert the format(to ProRes, so the Color Grading session using "Color" doesn't choke. I changed my Sequence: "Settings > QuickTime Video Settings > Compressor" to ProRes, but the "Current Setting" seems to stick to the original clip's capture format (XDCAM EX).

Hmm, I think the issue is you trying to do everything in pixels, then changing the ppi. Which is playing havoc with what you want to do. Set the ppi to 72, then it should be fine. Only work with ppi when you are creating for print. For screen and the web, the ppi is irrelevant.

FCP Apple PRORES 422 (HQ) setting-how to export?

I am importing and dropping in scanned images from the storyboard into FCP and then importting and placing on the timeline some digital animated images which have been done in the format 1920x1080 24fps. They have been put through shake and we chose the setting Apple PRORES 422 (HQ) which I have then set the FCP settings to match that. Everything works fine in Final Cut but then when I export the timeline to make it into a Quicktime movie, the digital animated shots dont play properly, they like skip frames. Do you know anything about this and how I get it to play smoothly? I have tried everything I can think of and nothing is working!

First off, ProRes HQ is VASTLY OVERKILL for converted flash video. That is for 10-bit high end formats. All you gain in using that over ProRes 422 is file size.
Second, 640x432 is a non-standard frame size. 640x480 is more like it, but really, FCP would like to see 720x480. ProRes doesn't really work in RT with the dimensions you have.
Convert the FLV to something like DV50 or just DV. but you have to get the right aspect ratio, or things will require rendering. Or better yet, get the MASTER footage, and not a flash video.

My Illustrator CC is exporting my files over 4x larger than I set them to export as.

I really need this ixed. I'd rather not uninstall and redownload. It takes ages. basically, I'll set my artboard to export as sayyy 100x100 pixels, it'll export as 417x417 pixels.

you're exporting at 300 dpi. export 72 dpi.
if you make a 100x100 px image in illustrator, you're actually making an image that is 100x100 points. points are a unit with a specific size. if you export a raster image 300 dpi, illustrator is making your image 4.17x larger (300/72) as it's cramming pixels into an already-defined area.

How do I set the Checkbox Export value to numeric?

I am attemting to analyze the data in my forms. In order to do so, I am exporting the data into a spreadsheet. There are about 50 check boxes in the form that I am tabulating. The default export values are "Yes" and "Off". My preferred values are 1 and 0, which greatly simplify analysis of the data. I can set the "Yes" value to "1", but I can't find a way to set the "Off" value to "0". As it stands, I have to go through the list and delete all "Off" values to have them work in my spreadsheet.
How do I create a numeric value on the check box? Is there a more graceful way of analyzing data from forms? Am I missing something.
Here are some recommendations. By default, make the checkbox export 1 and 0. When the export value for a checkbox is set to a numeric value, set the unchecked value to 0. Provide a place to set the export value of an unchecked checkbox.

You can't change the default "Off" value of a check-box. Just write a macro or script to replace all the instances of "Off" with "0". Shouldn't be too complicated... Another option is to use radio-buttons and set their values to 0 and 1. Set the "0" button as selected by default and you're guaranteed to get one of those values in your output (since it's not possible to "unselect" a radio-button group).

Missing SET DEFINE OFF exporting tables

Another minor bug exporting tables using the insert option is that no “SET DEFINE OFF” is created.
If values in the exported tables contains *“&”* characters, the user is asked to edit values.
Example:
1. Create a table with such a value:

2. Exporting this table creates:
