Setting up Down Payment Clearing Account & Down Payment Offset Acct

Hi
I wonder if someone could perhaps guide me to a possible solution on the above querie. I am trying to post a Down Payment invoice within SAP Bus One 2007A but get the following error: GL Account code is missing (1) [message 131-46].
I have spoken to our support who have suggested the course of action but the problem I have is I need to know which codes I should use to set these up?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

When I am trying to pass a down payment entry by debiting vedor and crediting bank with asset it is giving an error as follows.

    HI
Please pay attention at  the possible causes of message AU133:
    1. Error AU133:
       a) You have not defined a contra account for acquisition value postings in the Asset Accounting Customizing settings (Transaction AO90).However, this is required as of Release 4.6C because, as is the case for all other integration postings in Asset Accounting, invoice receipt postings have to be displayed in Asset Accounting via the new posting kernel to ensure an identical document
    structure.
       b) You have defined the account in Asset Accounting, however, it is not created in the affected company code.Check whether the account is correct and create it for the company code, if necessary.
    2. You have entered an asset reconciliation account for the "Contra account: Acquisition value posting" (for example, the same account as for   "Acquisition:Acquis. and production costs" account). This is not  permitted.Check whether your account determination is correct
(Transaction AO90) in Asset Accounting Customizing. The same applies
for the 'Contra account: Down payment posting'.
    3. As "Contra account: Acquisition value posting" you entered an asset G/L account. If necessary change the automatic posting indicator in the G/L account master record.
4.Check if you need  revaluation accounts in depreciation areas involved   (AO90):
      -Revaluation acquis. and production costs
      -Offsetting account: Revaluation APC
Please run also programm RACKONTO where missing or wrong customizing
the accoutn determinations per company code is displayed
Also have a look at note 7595 in this regard.
Please assign points if it useful.

    hi
    check following
    1. Check in OMWD, whether Valuation grouping code "0001" ia ssigned to Ur plant
    2. OBYC - If you have assigned GR/IR Clearing A/c to WRX then check whether you have maintained it with combination of valuation class and GL A/c
If yes then maintain only GL A/c w/o valuation class OR maintain one entry with valuation class empty and GL A/c

  • Incoming Payments - Default account in Payment Means tab Bank Transfer

    Hi all,
I want the G/L Account in Payment Means (Incoming payments) - tab Bank Transfer to be set by default.
For OUTGOING payments this is set via G/L accounts determination but there is no such option for INCOMING payments (?).
I tried by creating a FS ,simply:
    SELECT '1930'
    which I connected to ORCT.TrsfrAcct
Autorefresh when Transfer Date changes - but that does not work. If I run the FS via Shift-F2 - I get the account number - but not automatically by changing Transfer date.
    Help anyone?
    Thanks,
    Susanna

    Hi,
It seems that you have to trigger the FMS by 'Shift+F2', as all the trigger fields are in payment window and not the Payment Means window.
    There is no other option.

  • Re-set up icloud from parents account to childs own acct

We set up our daughters ipad under our icloud, apple id, but realize now we should've made her own new account.  How do we change this?  As set up now, all of my contacts are on her ipad, and I am getting all her emails from games she plays.

You can create and use different iCloud accounts on the same computer, whether they are single or multiple user.
There is a limit of 3 accounts you can create from a device but I thought this was only iOS devices - maybe not.
iCloud accounts can only be created using a valid email address, so I guess I'd start there to retrace what accounts you have.
My Apple ID and iForgot.com may be useful sites for you.

  • Deferred payment of AR Down Payment Invoice

One of our customers demands some changes within the Business One.
The support in Ireland advised us to post these requirements in this Forum.
If a customer pays an AR Down Payment Invoice not in one Amount, but in one ore more installments, it is not possible in the final AR invoice to deduct this amount in normal way.

    Hi Lily,
    answer your question;
    1) As Saying without considering Drop Ship, it is on BP master accounting tab ; Down payment clearing account.
But I usually normal AR Invoice for Drop Ship when the drop ship goods are released.
    2) I assume that AR Down Payment function is for advance payment. As you know we need Invoice for Incoming payment and reconciliation. If there are no AR Down payment documents, we have to create Incoming payment by "Payment on Account" and it posts to receivable account.
If you create SO at first and create AR Down Payment copying from SO, it has a relationship between them. After that if you also create AR Invoice copying from same SO, it has a relationship between them. Although there is no direct relationship between AR Invoice and AR Down Payment Invoice, you can trace from AR Down Payment => SO => AR Invoice.

    Hi Charles....

    Did you do that?
please check then only it will allow you to do transaction in USD.....

    Hi,
At the time of entering the invoice from MIRO/FB60, system gives a pop-up for downpayment clearing. If you go in the help, the following thing is mentioned in the part Procedure.
    Procedure
Check whether a transfer posting or a clearing of special G/L transactions (for example down payments) is necessary after you have posted the present document.
Here SAP has clearly mentioned that we can do the clearing after posting of this document.

  • Cancel A/R down payment invoice and clearing account

The following AR Dowm payment cancelation has been processed (as per the SAp WIKI)
    - but the down payment clearning account still has a value - how can this be reversed?
    2007A PL 42
    1.  If a 'Down Payment Invoice' (DPI) is unpaid and requires cancellation, then an 'AR Credit Note' can be used.
    2.  The 'AR Credit Note' should be based on the DPI.  This will create the correct journal entries necessary to cancel the DPI.
    3.  This is a screenshot of a DPI and its associated journal entry:
    4. The credit note based on the unpaid DPI will credit the customer and the associated tax accounts accordingly.
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=21823731

    Lisa,
Please compare the journal created for the DPI and the journal made behind the credit note. Does the journal lines match?

  • Vendor down payment clearing without VAT posting.

    Hello SAP Gurus,
    I have following issue:
Currently our Vendor down payments produce VAT postings when clearing with final invoice, which is correct.
But we have some old vendor down payments which does not include VAT and needs to be cleared without any impact to VAT postings.
User is using F-44 transaction and can not define any tax code for postings, system calculates it automatically.
It is not possible to make VAT posting happen and then make reversal postings fot VAT accounts as well.I tried to check flag 'Posting without tax allowed' and uncheck 'Post automatically only' in account master data. And then make manual posting using that account via FB01 but system still requires tax code to be entered because Tax category in account master data is set to '<' I'nput Tax Account'. It is impossible to change Tax category let's say to ' * ' because account have balances on it.
Could anyone advice how can I clear these downpayments without VAT posting?
    Thank you,

I have tried to enter 0% input tax code, but still I'm not able to post document because of error msg:
Tax entry not possible in this item
    Message no. FF724
    Diagnosis
You can not enter a tax amount in this item since, due to the posting amount entered and the tax code, a total tax amount of zero has been calculated.
This could either be due to the fact that the tax code has been defined with a value of 0%, or because the posting amount entered (that is, the tax base) is too small.
    Example:
With a tax rate of 15%, a tax amount greater than zero will only be achieved with a base amount greater than 0.04. With values of 0.03 and less, it is therefore not possible to enter a tax amount.
    Procedure
Only enter tax amounts in conjunction with tax codes for which a percentage rate not equal to zero has been defined. Make sure that in documents with several G/L account items you enter the total tax amount in an item with a sufficiently high posting amount.

  • Down Payment clearing at the time of Goods Receipt

    Dear All,
We have activated the setting "Configure Automatic clearing of Down Payments". We are entering down payment in PO and while processing Goods Receipt system is generating automatic down payment clearing document. The issue is the document posting with GR/IR line items are not updating in the FM report FMRP_RFFMEP1AX. The Goods receipt line item is picking the account assignments like Fund center etc are updated based on PO account assignments because we are referring PO while doing down payment. The invoice also created with GR/IR line item and these line items are also updated in FMRP_RFFMEP1AX report. So the line items against GR/IR are part of consumption of budget. The consumption amount does not contain GR/IR line item while doing goods receipt but invoice GR/IR line is part of consumption of budget. As a result, the GR/IR line item is not nullifying the consumption of budget and is adding to the consumption in addition to the expense line item in goods receipt. So its consuming budget twice.
The issue is GR/IR line item while doing goods receipt is not part of consumption of budget even though the GR/IR line item created in the Goods receipt document. At the same time the GR/IR line item in invoice line item is part of consumption of budget. Please let me know the reason why the GR/IR line item in Goods receipt is not updating in the report.

  • Down Payment Clearing pushbutton in MIRO (SAP ECC6 EP4)

    Dear Experts,
As i am trying to do the same process in my organisation to post the DP in PO at header or item level and after that following the ME2DP process for posting DP and then i do MIGO.
After GR as i do MIRO process and select the PO there is no DOWN PAYMENT Push button on header level on MIRO Screen.
I already re-started the Business Function "LOG_MMFI_P2P" after that also it is not showing the push button.
Please kindly help in this to get that DOWN PAYMENT clearing button?
    Regards
    Arun Rai

    Hi,
I just re activated that module function and process this practise in the similar way SAP has guided in its library which i can tell you in the brief. I suppose that way will work for you.
Posting of Down Payment Clearings and Down Payments in Purchase order
    1. Create a purchase order with one or more items. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Create ->Vendor/Supplying Plant Known (ME21N).
    a) In the item details, choose the Invoice tab page. In the Down Payment Category field, choose the Mandatory Down Payment or Voluntary Down Payment setting.
    Confirm your entry.
    b) Enter an amount in the Down Payment Amount field, or a percentage in the Down Payment % field.
    c) Enter a due date in the DP Date field.
    d) Save your entries.
    2. On the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Reporting ->Down-Payment Monitoring for PO.
    3. In the Purch.Doc. field, enter the purchase order number of the purchase order you just created, and enter the appropriate due date interval.
    Choose Execute.
    4. Select the purchase order you created in the list and choose Create Down Payment Request.
The Down Payment Based on Purchase Orders screen appears.
    5. In the group box Execution, choose either Down Payment or Down Payment Request and then choose Continue.
Depending, either the Down Payment Request screen or the Down Payment screen appears.
    6. Change the proposed amount to be paid in the Down Payment Amount field and choose Continue.
    7. on the subsequent screens (similar to F-47 / F-48), enter the required data and post the document.
Posting of Down Payment Clearings in Logistics Invoice Verification
    Preparation for this process:
    1. Create a purchase order with one or more items. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Create -> Vendor/Supplying Plant Known (ME21N).
    2. Use the Financial Accounting transactions (such as F-48) to create down payments for this purchase order.
    3. Post a goods receipt with reference to the purchase order you created. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Inventory Management -> Goods Movement -> Goods Movement (MIGO).
    Step to follow for Execution
    1. Post an invoice with reference to the purchase order you created. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics --> Materials Management --> Logistics Invoice Verification --> Document Entry --> Enter Invoice (MIRO).
    2. Check the invoice items and correct them if necessary.
    3. Choose the Down Payment Clearing pushbutton.
    4. In the Amount Entered column, enter all the amounts you want to use to clear the displayed down payments.
    Save your entries.
    5. Post the invoice.
    6. Display the invoice document. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics --> Materials Management --> Logistics Invoice Verification --> Further Processing --> Display Invoice Document (MIR4).
i Think the way all the process mention here will help to process your requirement becuase this worked for me and i follow the same way. One think which i like to share with you is i assigned the advance payment at document header level.
    Regards
    Arun

  • Vendor Down Payment Clearing: F-54 or F-44

    Hi
I have made a down payment (with Spl. GL indicator) to a vendor, using F-48. Then I book an invoice using FB60. I kept the two amounts same and ignored WT to keep things simple.
Now i want to clear the down payment against the invoice. I use F-54. The clearing transaction is getting posted. However, the Invoice is lying open (credit entry) along with the Clearing document (debit entry). On the other hand the down payment document (debit) is getting cleared with the Clearing document (credit entry). This means I have two open line items and two cleared line items. I can clear the two open items again using F-44.
    I have two questions:
    1. What is the use of F-54 here since I have to use F-44 eventually?
    2. While doing F-54, Posting Key for the debit line item is 26 : Payment Difference. This is could not understand.
Can anyone please help me out on this?
    Thanks in advance
    Aninda

    Dear Aninda ,
I will explain you with following example.
    Recon account(Vendor)---3000000
    Advance to Vendor----
    4005000
    Exp a/c----
    7575100
    Bank a/c----
    5000100
    1. Advance to Vendor (spl gl -A)(F-48)
    Vendor a/c    (SPL-A)( GL- 4005000)        DR   1000
                      T0  Bank a/c (GL-5000100)                  1000
    2. Invoice posting
    Expenditure a/c ( GL-7575100) Dr      1000
         To  Vendor Account(GL-3000000)     1000
    3. Clear Vendor Down Payment (F-54)
    Vendor  a/c (GL-3000000) DR                1000 (Posting key-26)
         To Vendor a/c (SPL-A)( GL- 4005000)          1000
It means  Credited spl GL-A has converted from advance to Normal open item. Amount has been transferred from Advance to Vendor GL to Normal Recon account.By this way Advance account shows Nil  Balance with debit(F-48) and Credit (F-54)
The remaining 2 line items i.e., Credit (F-43) and Debit (F-54) shows as open items. In the next step we need to knock off those line items by manual clearing or automatic clearing.
    4. Normal Clearing (F-44)
It will be posted without line items.
I hope i am able to help you out to understand process
