Settlement Profile for Sales Order make to Order Production.

This is the first time I am working for CO and I do have a very basic question:
When our settlement process is complete (production order and sales order both settled to COPA), there is a balance remaining on the sales order cost report which is equal to the manufacturing variance.
It seems that the manufacturing variance is posting from the production order to the sales order, but is not being assigned to the PSEG and flowing to COPA.
I do have all the screen shot and logical flow charts and I could e-mail to you for a quick glance.

    As mentioned above, settlement is to post the cost to cost centers or any possible receivers as per the settlement profile. PM / Service orders, WBS elements, etc., can be temporary cost bearers from which cost should be settled to some permanent receivers.
    Cost elements / Cost element groups should be available as Master data before configuring settlement profile.
    To answer your latest query, there are 2 type of cost centers.
    Sender Cost Center - Against this, labor / internal activity price will be maintained in KP26. This cost center will be maintained in PM / PP work centers. While creating PM / PP orders, one of the work centers & activity types will be mentioned. Based on the KP26 entry for the combination of Activity type & Sender cost center, price will be picked & calculated according to work hours / labor hours maintained in PM / PP orders.
    Receiver Cost Center - Receiver cost center is the department / location cost center to which cost should be settled. Only receiver cost center will be maintained in settlement profile. Sender cost centers will be picked up automatically from work center.

    Settlement Profile is where you configure all the parameters to be considered and settlement to take place according to the.
    Main components of Settlement Profile are...
    1. Whether cost posted to Internal Order should be settled / should not be settled ( to the settlement receiver object)
    2. Allocation Structre, in which you give the source cost elements and receiver category and settlement cost element
    3. If more than one settlement receiver is given in the settlement rule of the Internal Order, on what proportion the cost has to be settled among them,
    4. What are the valid receivers to which the Internal Order can be settled etc...
    We create Settlement Profile and assign it in the Internal Order Type.
    For all the Internal Orders created using that Order Type, all the settlement parameters given in the Settlement Profile will be applied.

  • How to restrict status profile for sales order.

    Dear Friends,
    Pl suggest me for follwoing scenario
    ►     As per business process for tender/ institutional sales and exports, the order is complete once the complete delivery and invoicing for the same has been performed.
    ►     It was also observed that a sales order may be modified (material, quantity, price etc) even after complete invoicing of the same has been performed in SAP.
         The requirement is  Possibility to enable a control to restrict any amendments to the sales order after complete delivery and invoicing will be explored as per business requirements.
    Is there any solution above scenario without writing any code.

    Mr Atul,
    My understanding is, you don't want your user to be able to change the pricing and order quantity once the order is complete, i.e Delivered and Shipped.
    The status profile will not help you in the above scenario, Price/Quantity changes will not come up as Business transactions that can be controlled at Status profile.
    Standard SAP restricts the price changes to a completed item of the order, so no need to worry about this.
    But order quantity can be increased any time.
    So to restrict the user to increase the order quantity you need to use the User-Exits that SAP provided.
    Use the MV45AFZB user-exit program and form  FORM userexit_check_vbap to code this.

    Hi ALl,
    we want to set up sales order such that order can be logged in for min. qty of 100 and further in multiples of 50 . So we created a rounding profile in PP->MRP->planning->lot size calculation. But the profile created here is not available for selection in material master sales org. 1 view.
    Where do we need to maintaion this rounding profile in order to be able to select in sales 1 view of material master.

    firstly, setup the field Rounding permitted of item category you used in S/O.
    secondly, setup the field RoundingProfile in material master data.
    thirdly, check the value in transaction OWD1, Maintain Control Profiles for Quantity Optimizng, Assign Control Profiles.

    A subrule has been specified which does not exist.

    Check the name of the subrule and create a new one if necessary.  The subrule may belong to a different class.
    Can any one tell what exactly this means and how do i rectify.

    Hi,
    In make to order scenario you can use strategy group 20 in the mrp 3 view of the material master. So when a sale order is created the requirement is displayed in Md04 transaction. Then after mrp run you will get planned orders & this is processed further into prod. orders & confirm, GR takes place.
    In configure to order, you can use strategy group 25. You have to create characteristics,class,Super BOM,Obj. dependencies etc. So when you create a sale order for Eg: For a configurable product Car, you can have options as the Engine 1000cc,1500cc,2000cc etc, Colour as Blue,Black etc.So during the sale order creation you select the available options & then based on this selection the appropriate material from the BOM is chosen for further processing.

    maybe I have't depict the problem,
    I use user status profiles to do sales order approve, i have defined a status profiles and assigned it to sales document type ,  i have defined two statuses  A00 and B00 in the  status profiles .
    I hope if the sales order in status A00,it'can make to MD04,when the sales order approved to status B00,It can make to MD04.
    but I don't know which business transaction  shoud I choose when defining the profiles' status A00 by t-code BS02.

    What kind of Partner Profile should i create to receive Sales Orders by IDOC from external non-SAP system by RFC?

    I created Partner Profile type KU (Customer) with name AAA001.
    AAA001 is customer, created in VD01.
    Added to inbound parameters:
    - Message type - ORDERS
    - Process code - ORDE
    - Trigger immediately
    Testing in WE19:
    E1EDK01-RECIPNT_NO = AAA001
    E1EDKA1-PARVW = AG, E1EDKA1-PARTN = AAA001
    Sales Order is not created.
    IDOC has following status:
    EDI: Partner profile not available                                                                               
    Message no. E0 332                                                                               
    Diagnosis                                                                               
    A partner profile could not be found with the following key:                                                                    
         /0000000000/  /                                                                               
    This involves the key fields of the table EDPP1:                                                                               
    -PARNUM  partner number                                      
         -PARTYP  partner type

  • How settlement rule will be created for Sales order with cost object

    Dear Experts,
    We are using product cost by sales order with valuated stock. In addition we are not using COPA
    We also consume some materials at sales order level and at the end of month we want to do the result analysis and settlement for the same amount. In this case can any on explain how system will behave regarding settlement of sales order cost and what entries will get pass in the system.
    In our case we have done below activities...
    we have created sales order,
    All production order activities completed till final GRN including month end activities
    Material consumption against sales order
    Result analysis executed
    At the time of sales order settlement, system throwing error (Sender doesn't have valid receiver, please create settlement rule for sender object)
    Then i checked in sales order there sales order settlement rule not defined.
    I guess this settlement rule need be generated by system automatically. If not, please let me know the process of it.

          the reason is that sale order always carry the revenue  and production order and production period carry the cost .
       cost you can settle to the Material and even management want  to be settle the cost to material only in production order OR period
    but in sales order  when u sell the product it carry the revenue not the cost and management want see and analysis based on profitability segment are profit center level .
    Prerequisites
    If CO-PA is active, the system generates a settlement rule when you create the sales order. The settlement rule determines whether data is settled to other objects or other areas in Controlling. In accordance with this settlement rule, the relevant data is settled to CO-PA.
    If CO-PA is not active, create a settlement rule. This settlement rule that you create manually normally contains a G/L account as a receiver (such as 399999). You can also settle costs and revenues or results analysis data to objects with revenue.
    You can also settle the cost of sales calculated in results analysis to a fixed asset or a cost center. To do this, you must add to the allocation structure the results analysis cost elements under which the cost of sales is updated to the order.
    The settlement rule includes a distribution rule for the sales order item. The distribution rule is made up of a settlement receiver, a settlement share, and a settlement type:
    The settlement receiver (such as profitability segment or G/L account) specifies the object to which the actual costs and revenue of the sales order item are settled. The settlement receiver can be proposed through the settlement profile.
    The settlement share defines the percentage or the equivalence numbers used to distribute the costs to the individual settlement receivers. The settlement share for sales order items is usually 100%. A settlement share of 100% is preset in the system.
    The settlement type specifies full settlement of the sales order item. This ensures that all the data on the sales order is available for results analysis.
    Settlement still takes place in each period. The revenues and the cost of sales are transferred to CO-PA by period, and the work in process and the reserves are transferred to FI.
