"Setup did not detect the required components. Setup will exit." !?!?!?
I have a retail Audigy 2. Autoupdate recognizes my card and gives me the available list of drivers and applications for download. I download the following:
) Audigy 2 Drivers
2) Audio Console
3) EAX Console
4) Speaker Settings
5) Surround Mixer
The ) Drivers and the 2) Audio console installs just fine. However, for each of the three remaining programs (3, 4, & 5 listed above) upon executing the downloaded file they all give me a pop-up window that says:
?Setup did not detect the required components. Setup will exit.
This happens with all three of them. I want to install these because I am of the understanding that one of these contains the ?Speaker channel test? (for lack of a better word) that will test if my speakers are hooked up correctly to the right channels. The ) drivers, and 2) Audio console do not have that test. I created another post concerning this but nobody has replied:

I also tried unzipping the three executable files with WinRAR, and then executing the Setup.exe files but it yields the same results.
Anyone know why I can't install these applications?!?!?!?!

This is a known problem that has been around for months and they have failed to address, just like many other problems with their soundcards. For the solution to this particular problem, look here:

If you would reread my original post in this thread, that solution did not work for this particular problem of mine. I have a SoundBlaster Li've! Card that this solution worked for, however it does not work of the Audigy 2 card?unzipping the files with WinRar and then running the Setup.exe files produces the same result?setup does not recognize the required components and will close.
I?m not saying that the person who you quoted should not try it though.

I'm not sure what "Mail Update for Mac OS X 10.5.6" is. Mac OS X 10.5.6 is Leopard, a system that is quite old at this point. There have not been any Mail updates for Leopard in quite some time. If you are trying to install some old Mail update for Mac OS X 10.5.6 in Mavericks, that won't work.
If you are trying to install the Mavericks Mail update manually, that's not necessary if you have updated through the App Store. If the App Store shows no updates, you don't need this. (The error message doesn't make sense, and may indicate some other problem with your system, assuming that you were downloading this update from Apple's site.)
I'd advise you to start a new topic in the Mavericks forum and describe the problems you are having with Mail. Be sure to include specifics, but try to avoid speculating on causes, as responses that may be related to an inaccurate assumption on your part can cloud the issue. -
when i try to open itunes i now get an error message saying i do not have the required components installed error number 45075?
Just in case the component being referenced is not part of iTunes but is rather part of one of the other related programs, it might be worth trying a complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related componentry, as per the following troubleshooting document:

Hello,
I have created a jar so that I can used it in the webapp.
but when I click on it it says "Could not find the main class.Program will exit."
I searched a lot in the net and found that it has to do with the manifest file.
I even updated the manifest file using the command "jar umf main.txt filefolderupload.jar" with the class name mention along with the package heirarchy.
(pakage heirarchy in /,\ and .)
I am using JDK 1.5 . and have Updated JRE 1.6.
Also tried with extending the class with JApplet, but in vain.
Kindly help me in the above mention issue.

Note that this 'simple question' has a complicated answer. Given the complexity of it, it might pay to add Dukes to it, ..a lot of Dukes.
The important questions are.
1) Does this file/directory uploader need to provide the end-user with a file dialog in which they can choose a local directory to upload, or will a multi-file chooser do?
2) Does this uploader need to upload to foreign sites, or does it upload back to its own server?
Looking at this table I prepared to describe the [uploader/local file access|http://pscode.org/test/uploader/fileuploader.html] possibilities, if the answers to the questions are 'multi-file chooser will do' and 'home site only', the best option is a sandboxed app. launched using webstart (JNLP) - option 5. If either of those questions go the other way, option 6 (digitally signed with extended permissions) is needed. -

i changed the mainfest file for an executive jar file(judge.jar) using the command on dos :-"jar cvfm judge.jar c:\judge\MAINFEST.MF -C judge/ ." , but when i run this jar file again after making changes in mainfest file it is not working. an error encounter like "could not find the main class programe will exit how to solve"(Java virtual machine launcher).please suggest me how to solve this error.

please tell me the solution of this error i am doing internship in national university of singapore......and my project is related to data mining.I am using judge.jar when i extract this jar files i saw there was no main-class in manifest file so i change it and make it again jar file using dos command.please suggest me how i can reomove this error.

Any sulutions for audigy 2 issues(setup could not detect the card at my pc)
i've looked for so long for a propper solution but i did not find anything usefull.
first i've downloaded the drivers and try to install them with no success.
second, i tried with the original cd, again no success.
iv'e moved the card to a diffrent slot , still nothing, always the same info when trying to install.
iv'e looked some here but there are a lot of threads about audigy, it will take a couple of years to look into all of them
i'm using win xp, my p.c is kind of new( year old), gigabite dsl motherbord if it matters.
even tried before a long time to contact your support, its a shame for this company, no single answear from you(even the other time i tried to contact you about my speakers).
hope that someone here can give an idea/s what else i can do with this.

creative support/management its about time to treat your custumers or close this company, you have a lot of issues and you have zero support, your loss...Okay I ended up fixing this problem myself seeing as a lot of these forum topics just come to a dead end with no real resolution.

I removed the reg entry hkey_local_machine/software/creative tech, removed all drivers, programs, and anything that even smelt faintly of creative.
Just to make sure I ran the CTZAPXX.exe on the cd and removed drivers again there also.
Then upon a swift reboot I used CTZAPXX.exe to install the drivers, ran the cd, unchecking the option at the bottom of the 'custom' install list to install windows drivers (as it had already been done)
Now I'm back in business
Though, all through the ages I've never had a creative soundcard, which hasn't given me trouble at some stage, man I even have shameful memories of my AWE64... Lift your game creative, you've got a great product line, just a pity the shoddy drivers sometimes let them down.

Note: All these ideas are a bit lame since you say that some iPhone 5s are connecting OK and they running the same iOS level 6.1 and, i think, have the same Broadcom WiFi chip BCM4334.
All devices are running iOS 6.1 right not 6.0.1, or 6.0.2?
You might want to try your iPad mini on some other WiFi networks to see how it fares there. -

no where it mentionned the manifest.fm file is... INSIDE the .jar!
Your comment "a zip" made me attempt to open it with winrar, and I found a manifest.fm file inside!
So far I was editing the one at the "source" of my project and rebuilding it with netbeans.
I am going to try that now.

Everytime I try to install Creative Surround Mixer version 3.00.57 or Creative Speaker Settings version .00.56, i get this same old error. Ive read about it but most of the posts were from 2005. Is there any known fix for this, I would really like to use these software utilities to optimize my sound quality. Any help is appericated. Thanks.
The executable should be a zip file with an installer. Try extracting the stuff to a folder and then in the extracted folder go down two levels and run the setup.exe from there ( as opposed to the one in the first directory level ).
This might not work anymore as Creative may have wised up to the fact that you can install some of their software without having the original installation CD. -

Could you try to download ConfigMgr.manifest.cab from following link and copy into specified download folder. And then try it again. It seems SCCM cannot find ConfigMgr.manifest.cab to download required updates.

Mountain Lion did not detect the 1gb graphic memory
I have the MBP 15'' Retina Display with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. After I updated to Moutain Lion, the about menu is show this configuration:
- Monitor Color LCD Integrado (in Lion was Retina Display)
- Placa Gráfica Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB (in Lion was 1gb)

I have it set to dynamic switch on battery and discrete only when plugged in for the smoothest performance when battery life is not a concern.

EAX console woes: did not detect required components/audigy2 not detec
After a recent reformat, I go to install the EAX console after the latest drivers (don't have my original CD by the way) aaaand get the "did not detect required components" message.
So I search on it and it doesn't have anything to do with my dri've paths and such. I've tried an Audigy2 and Audigy2 value ISO, but they tell me they don't detect an audigy2... dxdiag tells me differently, however. I'm not in the mood for downloading a bunch more 400 mb ISOs to test them all out either..
I'm at a loss here and really need the EAX console... autoupdate detects my card as "Sound Blaster Audigy 2, DR release .88.20"nanite2000 wrote:

If you would reread my original post in this thread, that solution did not work for this particular problem of mine. I have a SoundBlaster Li've! Card that this solution worked for, however it does not work of the Audigy 2 card?unzipping the files with WinRar and then running the Setup.exe files produces the same result?setup does not recognize the required components and will close.
I?m not saying that the person who you quoted should not try it though. -

Device Manager icon for any device with yellow exclamation mark,

Browse to the folder where the setup program has the driver...
Message: "The best driver software is already installed."
(But the yellow exclamation mark still harasses me.)

As near as I can tell, that translates from error 0x8E5E0247
I have this same error on other yellow exclamation marks respective of what kind of device it is.
=> To test my sanity, I put the old hard drive (same size) back in and except for the impact of slowness due to error retries, everything works okay.
Note:
Same issue (hardware not detected) for Video adapter and Audio.
I bought new USB Wireless adapter to test, and the driver installed but not activated because "not digitally signed", and that same issue fits all the above hardware. I down loaded them from Toshiba, and they are confirmed installed, but not accepted with digitally signed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with same results.

Scenario that exposes harm caused by cloning data from 4K blocks drive to 512 bytes blocked drive (AF)
Toshiba supplied Windows-7 System Restore Discs: to factory state
Then I built the Windows-7 Repair Disc... used later.
Hard drive was replaced when it caused SMART warning at every system boot.
Acronis was only utility that quickly detected problem (3 sectors had permanent read errors.) Active@Disk Image and Power Quest Drive Image (Ghost) did not detect the issue.
I tried Seagate 500 GB and Western digital 500 GB HDD drives as copy target.
That new drive would not boot: "Required source not found"
Booted My newly created Windows-7 repair disc, and used to to fix startup.
See images.
That worked and then the ST9500423AS disc booted.
Now... next day I discovered Window Update is not working.
I get message:
Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You need to restart your computer.
I ran Microsoft Fixit for updates. It says it fixed two items.
I still have the problem.
The service shows "started"
Control Panel/ ACTION Center/ Maintenance/ Check for Updates
"No action needed"
"Windows Update does not require any action"
I checked Update History...
... It is empty, else window is vacant... blank.
Soooo..... for a sanity check, I swap out hard drive; go back to the old format (which is the one I copied).
It works! 7 updates to install, including SP1... but I did NOT install them.
Switch back to the AF drive... Update doesn't work. I am broke again.
Is this another strange problem caused by the Advance Format issue?
What to do?
By the way... I did install an Intel storage Matrix driver update, but I do not have RAID chip, so that driver is not for me... unless I missed out on something.
