Short Dump in RDDEXECL with OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED on import

Hello,
I am currently having problems importing a transport to our production environment as I get the above error on import. It successfully imported to the text environment though, both systems are BI 7 SP14.
The error analysis in the short dump is as follows:-
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL', was not
caught in
procedure "CHECK_ME" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
You attempted to use a 'NULL' object reference (points to 'nothing')
access a component (variable: "L_R_RULE").
An object reference must point to an object (an instance of a class)
before it can be used to access components.
Either the reference was never set or it was set to 'NULL' using the
CLEAR statement.
The transport contains Transformations and DTP's which I think may be the cause of the problem, but since I have a large number of transports ready to import after this one, it is difficult to go back and retry the transport without certain objects.
I can find nothing relating to this on SAP notes.
Any advice would be much appreciated...

Hi Mark,
you should implement the note 1094978.
This note is a collection note with notes which correct most errors concerning Transformation.
This should solve the issue.

    Yes even i find it strange. But there is no syntax error and the fact is that it was working 2 days back.  Suddenly it has started giving us this dump.
    The code is as follows.
    Commit design BAPI's
          CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT' .
          IF save_okcode = con_order.
    Commit order BAPI's
            CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT'
              DESTINATION 'NONE'.
    Here con_order is CU01.

  • Short dump using CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2 with different user ids

    We are getting a short dump in our program when using FM'CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2' and this is happening only for super user roles but not with regular user ids in production. We are not able to identify the solution yet, and it needs to be resolved as quickly as possible. Anyhelp, really appreciated.

  • Short dump in WF with DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND

    Hi,
    I am getting a short dump with the error DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND for the work flow id WF_BATCH in ST22 during a material creation process that we have. This is happening in the background processing for one of the steps and the WF hangs up. That step is never completed. Any ideas about what is going wrong?

    Have you tried to switch that special task to dialogue processing, make yourself an agent for this task, and than see, which dynpro is displayed.
    That ought to be the easiest way, once you know what´s going wrong you can search for alternative processes.

  • Short dump creating variant with RS_CREATE_VARIANT

    I'm getting the attached short dump while creating a variant with ABAP. The problem only occurs when the variants for both RPTIME00 and HDKCALC0 are created in the same program. I've tried adding a COMMIT between them to avoid any buffering problems, but to no avail. I've also tried searching SAP Notes for any hints.
    So any input would be appreciated..

    Dear Sundar,
    By default, short dumps are stored in the system for 14 days. The transaction for managing short dumps is ST22. You can delete short dumps in accordance with a time specification using the Reorganize function, which you can call by choosing
    Goto u2192 Reorganize in ST22. You can save a short dump without a time limit using the Keep function, which you can choose under Short Dump u2192 Keep/Release in ST22.
    The short dumps are stored in table SNAP. If there are too many entries in table SNAP, problems can occur during the reorganization (see SAP Note 11838). There are different options for deleting short dumps from table SNAP:
    1. Call transaction ST22. Choose Goto u2192 Reorganize. You can now specify that all short dumps older than n days old (default 7) are to be deleted. If a very large number of records are deleted at once during the reorganization,
    ORACLE error ora1562, failed to extend rollback segment ..., can occur. In this case, see SAP Note 6328.
    2. Dropping and recreating table SNAP with the database utility (transaction SE14): you can use this transaction to drop and recreate the table SNAP. This means that all short dumps are deleted.
    3. The reorganization program RSSNAPDL deletes old short dumps in pieces (to avoid database problems) from table SNAP. It deletes short dumps that are not flagged for retention and are older than seven days old. Schedule this program at a time of low workload, as large changes in the database are to be expected. The program RSNAPJOB performs a standard scheduling: it starts the program RSSNAPDL every day at 1:00 a.m.
    4. TableSNAP is also automatically reorganized. At every short dump that occurs in dialog (the dump is displayed immediately after it is created), a maximum of 20 short dumps that are older than 7 days old are deleted from SNAP. This reorganization should be sufficient in normal production operation.
    Hope this information resolves your error and also more useful in the feature.

    When i scheduled data load for ODS, a short dump was generated with following error:

    An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
    . The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was
    neither
    caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
    "RULE_BASED_MODIFY_RSMONMESS" "(FORM)"
    How to correct the error
    The exception must either be prevented, caught within the procedure
    "RULE_BASED_MODIFY_RSMONMESS"
    "(FORM)", or declared in the procedure's RAISING clause.
    To prevent the exception, note the following:
    Database error text........: "ORA-01654: unable to extend index
    SAPBD2.RSMONMESS~AXY by 128 in tablespace PSAPBD2"
    Internal call code.........: "[RSQL/INSR/RSMONMESS ]"
    Please check the entries in the system log (Transaction SM21).

    This is table space issue.
    You need to contact basis guys to get it resolved.
    Take a screen shot of this error and send the information to basis guys.
    Once they clear the problem. repeat the step.

  • CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN Short Dump with CONVERT_MATNR_TO_INTERN_FORMAT

    Has anyone else had this issue? All help appreciated.
    I am using the function CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN to update a BOM. Running it generates a short dump with the following information:
    In PERFORM or CALL FUNCTION "CONVERT_MATNR_TO_INTERN_FORMAT", the actu
    al parameter "MATERIAL" is incompatible with the formal parameter "I_M
    ATNR".
    At first I thought my variable for the material number was bad so instead I gave it a literal value just to see if it gave me a problem and it did.
    Here is the snippit of code from my program where I give it an actual value:

    In the form interface I_MATNR in include LCSAPFC1 is defined identically:

    So importing parameter of type CSAP_MBOM-MATNR is passed to field I_MATNR of type CSAP_MBOM-MATNR and there can't be any type conflict, if
    there is no modiffication in your system
    fm CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN and include LCSAPFC1 are active
    no parts of function group CSAP have been overwitten by importing a transport request into your system
    Please check this code snippets against those in your system.
    What can you do, if all is looking okay:
    Check the version history (fm and include) for suspicious transport requests.
    If no transport requests found, try to regenerate the fm, th include and the whole function group.

  • OBJECT_ID_NOT_FOUND short dump (BBP_CENTRALPERSON_GET with WF-BATCH?)

    Hi there,
    We are currently doing an upgrade from SRM 3.0 to SRM 5.0. We initially had one backend system configured and PO's are happily replicated across to it.
    We have now added a SECOND backend and now we have the following strange error scenario:
    The SC is created (with a user linked to the 2nd backend) but when trying to determine the BE Purchasing Org  (function BBP_PDH_PO_DET_BE_PUR_ORGS) for the PO replication etc it gets a short dump saying:
    A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLBBP_ATTR_PDORG" raised the exception
    condition "OBJECT_ID_NOT_FOUND".        
    The actual error occurs in program SAPLBBP_ATTR_PDORG and form MAP_OBJECT                                 
    So the error is occuring because it tries to run function module BBP_CENTRALPERSON_GET with user the background user WF-BATCH (for some reason).
    NOTE: I have examined the short dump and it is definetly occuring AFTER mapping the SC to the PO (MAP_SHOPPING_BASKET_PO
    in program SAPLBBP_PD_SC)
    Why on earth would the WF-BATCH user be used at this point? We have compared the backend systems in config and cannot see anything wrong from our understanding.
    So this is the call that is causing the error:

    Well I managed to get the problem to go away but de-activating the BBP_PGRP_FIND badi implementation.
    And after further tests all seems to be fine anyway.

  • Short Dump with ALV Report

    Hi
    I have one Zreport which gives the result in ALV form.
    After getting the result(1 row with 33 columns) when I tried to export the ALV results to spread sheet using the option : List-> Export-> Spread Sheet OR by click on Excel icon in the display screen,I'm getting the short dump with the description "No more storage space available for extending an internal table" .
    After analysis ,find that dump is raising in the FM : F4_GET_RESULT of Include Program : LSDH3U03.
    Can anyone provide us some clue .

    If the display is in ALV grid format, then you can try another approach to save the data in a spreadsheet.
    - Right-click on any output cell.
    - Select 'Spreadsheet' from the drop down list
    - radio-button 'All available formats'
    - Excel (In existing XXL format)

  • How to Fetch Cancelled Jobs info along with the Short Dump Text

    Hi Gurus,
    I need to develop a report to fetch the cancelled jobs information for the given period. I also need to display the "Error Analysis" part of the Short Dump if it exists.
    I am able to fetch the Failed Jobs information and the Job log details using the FM "BP_JOBLOG_READ". But I need to show the "Error Analysis Text" on the report , if there is any Short Dump Exists for the Dump.
    Please give me your ideas to fetch the Error Analysis part of the short dump for a given Batch Job Name.

    The dump information is in table SNAP. You could identify which dump you want by the date & time of the failed job - let's hope you don't have more than one dump with the same time. If it is ambiguous you could also compare the program name of the failed step with the program name in the SNAP data.
    The error analysis texts are in table SNAPT keyed according to which error occurred (which is data element code FC right at the start of the first record in the SNAP data). You will have to expand out the includes, and substitute the variable codes using values from the SNAP data. There is standard code to do this that you could copy - see program SAPMS380.
    To find out the details of the SAP process you could run transaction ST22 via the debugger and use the same mechanism.

    we are facing problem while creation PO, while providing the Tax code(Example V0), its going for short dump, check the below

    Hi,
    Do you have an integer field in the condition table A980? It looks like a field in the table is integer one and the system during creation of custom dynamic select statement adds as many spaces as possible before the integer value (integer values are right justified), so the statement exceeds the maximum length with an 'AND' or another condition clause.
    Please check and provide more details if the issue is not resolved.
