Short dump transferring more than 99 items from catalog to shopping cart

Hi
I'm encountering a short dump when trying to transfer any more than 99 items from the internet sales catalog to an EBP shopping cart.
The error states "Unable to interpret "*0" as a number" - the code in the error suggests that the system is attempting to populate field LCNT with *0.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the replies. I've already checked the usual channels (OSS, Google etc) without success, hence my thread here.
The business reasons for having 99 catalogue items are not particularly strong, but it would be a 'nice to have' as one or two users have fallen foul of it. They can obviously raise separate carts if necessary.
If the consensus is there's no solution then we'll just have to put up with it as a catalog limitation!

Wrong Currency coming from catalog to shopping cart

We are facing a strange problem while creating a SC in SRM , catalog item is maintained with PLN as currency , user default and vendor currency is also PLN. But when item is transferred to SC from catalog it is getting as EUR.
I tried to debug the issue and found that the data which is coming from catalog itself contains EUR . But catalog is maintained with PLN.
FM TS_UPLOAD_CONTEXT_EXT is getting called with destination SAPGUI which is returning the data.
But I am not able to find this FM in SRM system. Please let us know how can we proceed with the analysis to find the root cause

Hello Anil,
What is your SRM release ?
In SRM 7.0, price conditions and item currency is the one from material catalog. But at header level (total value), currency is the one defined as local (attribute 'CUR' in 'Attributes' tab from PPOSA_BBP transaction).
Don't remember if this is the correct behavior (but this is the one i have on my system) and if it is equivalent for lower releases.

Do you mean you need to return more than 3? If so then in the link area change the Target to URL and do something like the following:
f?p=&APP_ID.:7:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.::P7_UNIQUE_ROWID,P7_OET_TBL_NM:#UNIQUE_ROWID#,#OET_TBL_NM#Items on left separated by commas, values on right separated by commas and a colon (:) in the middle...make sure the items & values are placed in the same order.

The RFX before upgrade does not allow me to add items from catalog

I have a problem with the RFX, we did an upgrade to SRM7.0 from SRM5.0.
The RFX that existed before upgrade in the server does not allow me to add new items from catalog.
each RFx I created after the upgrade works fine.
My client needs to work with the RFx still open, add items and make bids.
I have reviewed the upgrade guide and found nothing regarding an update of purchasing documents.
I have
SRM 7.0 SPS03 EHP1
MDM 7.1 SP06
MDM catalog 3.0SP10

in SRM 5.0 the system was MDM catalog. Actually, after the upgrade , i have SRM7.01 with MDM catalog.
i donn´t know if it is about version, SP or compatability issue, but i believe the upgrade not affect the purchaser documents.
Those look as locked to modify. on tap Position, the buttom ADD LINE, only i can see Position, not anymore option like MDM catalog, free text.
it is a big problem, because the client has documents opened. i need to resolve this issue. Actually i am working in a sandbox system, but i afraid to have the same problem in PRD system after upgrade.

10g Full Database Dump Takes more than 2 Hours Still not finished

Full Database Dump Takes more than 2 Hours, Still not finished.
Version - Oracle 10g 1.0.2.0
Database Size is Around 160GB.
Used Below Query to take Full Database Dump.
expdp user/pwd@10gdb full=y directory=test_dir dumpfile=curent10g.dmp logfile=expdpcurent10g.log;
It takes more than 1 hour in processing the functions.i.e)

Is it possible to import an email more than once from a lotus notes account into my webclient?
I don't have a working sample so:
Is there a lock to prevent it... in notes... in my webclient?
Are there optical signs in my webclient that an email is already imported?

"Create Limit" Item not visible in Shopping Cart for Employee

Hi Experts,
The employee user has the following roles in SRM 701 system.
/SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE
/SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE_EHP1. The user is not able to see the "Create Limit Item" option in Shopping cart & hence not able to create a limit item in the shopping cart.
The Purchase user has the following roles in SRM 701 system.
/SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER_ADMIN
/SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER
/SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER_EHP1. This user is able to create Limit Item in the shopping cart using the "Add Item" Menu.
My requirement is to allow the users of type "Employee" to allow creating the limit items in the shopping cart. Could you please give some guidance on what needs to be done?

Hello Kasee,
As per the details given by you, you are using a mix of SRM70 and SRM 701 roles for the same user and hence system behavior will not be correct and it will lead to issues.
I suggest you to try the scenario with user having roles of one release i.e. either assign SRM 70 or SRM 701 roles.
Also if you are using portal , there also you have to map the user roles accordingly.
Moreover with SRM 701 we have the Easy Shopping cart delivered to customers where the user can only add items from Catalogs or Free text ones. You will not get different options like provided in the professional or normal shopping cart used in the SRM 70 releases.
With the /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE role ( SRM 70 ) in the abap system and portal, you will get an option to add limit items in the SC's.
Same applies to the OP purchaser roles. Its not recommended to use /SAPSRM/OP_PURCHASER & /SAPSRMOP_PURCHASER_EHP1 roles together for one user.
You can also refer to the note 1476447 SAP SRM 7.0 EHP1 : Important info on New Functionality for more references.

CCM 2.0 Item Deletion and Old Shopping Carts

Hi everyone!
We delete an item of the catalogue and then we publish it again. If then we go to SRM Shopping Tool and buy using and OLD SHOPPING CART that contain the item. We can buy the item without problems (alhough it's not existing anymore).
We have the same kind of problem when we change the price of the item, and we buy it using and old Shopping Card. We buy it with the old price.
Any suggestion about how can we solve this problem?

Hi Patricia,
when you define the catalogue in the Web-Services in config there is an option Validate Product Data from SAP Enterprise Buyer. This option will check the catalogue data when copying from an old shopping cart and update where necessary.
The config path is
Supplier Relationship Management > SRM Server > Master Data > Define External Web Services
Double click on your catalogue name and you fill see the various options.

1)Check in the PPOSA_BBP --Attritubute for the FI and maintain the Logical Backend system
2)for Backend system -SAP R/3 (or) ECC 6.0 you have not maintained the Logical system.
3) check the product category for which GL account is maintained in the Config

I have a requirement that when we change the shopping cart line item delivery address same needs to reflect all line items.
Suppose a shopping cart having 3 line items 1, 2 and 3. if i change the delivery address of line item 1, the same needs to reflect the line item 2 and 3 as well.
In my case if we change the 1's delivery address, after processing its genrating the IDOC on line item wise not in the header wise. And same having the different delivery address.

we can do this changes in BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI . Create a Implementation for the above BADI and Inside that Implementation BADI method just call the function module BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL for SC item details by passing the Header GUID.
Once you get the Partner table(E_PARTNER) details.. Keeping a loop on SC item(E_ITEM) and change address number(ADDR_NO) in Partner table when Partner function eq X( X is an partner function values which you define in SPRO.).
pseudo logic:
CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL'
    EXPORTING
      i_guid    = l_guid
    TABLES
      e_item    = lt_item
      e_partner = lt_partner.
* Check for all the line items if vendor is assigned

the appropriate drives and folders... as the
import statement doesn't see them.

Getting short dumps while reading bulky data from excel sheet

We have converted our non-unicode based sap system (R/3 4.7, Windows 2003,
SQL 2000) into a unicode based system recently. We are facing two peculiar
problems for last few days.
*Problem 1 - *Whenever we want to upload the data from excel sheet, the
system throws a dump after reading about 400 entries, while last week the
same system used to read about 8000 entries in a single go.
*Problem 2 - *Also, whenever we realease a transport requst from development
containing a lot of changes, the request will reach the quality system but
without the changes. but if i ll try to import the changes into quality
system after generating more than one request containing small small
changes, they get reflected in QAS immediately. Is there any size
constraint in transporting a request fro DEV->QAS->PRD.
Please suggest some ways.

generally on all PCs. Note whether the error only occurs for some
users, for example because of a specific Customizing setting.
If it only occurs locally, this suggests an installation problem
with the PC. Check the installation; if necessary, reinstall the
software. In the dump, search for the SY-MSGLI field, since it may
point to the cause of the error.
3. Activate the Automation Trace (in accordance with SAP Note
158985).
4.Start the transaction and continue until the screen immediately
before the dump.
5. From the System -> Utilities menu, choose Autom. Queue,
Synchronous Processing.
The status bar of the GUI displays the text:

6. If you now proceed with the application, the short dump will
display the ABAP call that caused the error; the Automation Trace
will contain the error on the presentation server.
7. If necessary, load the short dump and trace files on to

How to correct the error
Probably the only way to eliminate the error is to correct the program.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:

"SAPLOLEA" or "LOLEAU02"
"AC_SYSTEM_FLUSH"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself, please send the
following documents to SAP:
1. A hard copy print describing the problem.
To obtain this, select the "Print" function on the current screen.
2. A suitable hardcopy prinout of the system log.
To obtain this, call the system log with Transaction SM21
and select the "Print" function to print out the relevant
part.
3. If the programs are your own programs or modified SAP programs,
supply the source code.
To do this, you can either use the "PRINT" command in the editor or
print the programs using the report RSINCL00.

You should also under NO condition use the JDBC-ODBC bridge driver (that was actually the 78 millionth time that was told someone).

Copy/Paste more than 64K from Excel to Oracle Forms

We need to copy from Excel more than 64K of data into Oracle Forms 10g. After the copy/paste action. The data will be split and saved in the database. The data contains 6000 fields of each 14 characters.
What we tried: Create a Long field in forms (maximum size 64K) and process the data which is in this field. But by using PLSQL the maximum size is only 32K. So currently we can only copy and process 32K at a time.
Is there a way to process over 64K from an excelsheet via Oracle Forms 10g R2?
Can it be done via Java and how?
Is it possible to read the clipboard in parts of 30K blocks and paste it in the Long field block with multirecords?
Restrictions:
We are not allowed to do file upload and process it on the server side.

In the form, you can use Text Items that have datatype as long, so you can strore 64K.
I do not understand the problem with the PL/SQL, because you can pass 32Ko chunks as many as needed.

while trying to load data into the ODS from R/3 I get the following short dump error message. How do I carry out step 1 in the below procedure. Where do i find the Activate Function. And idea?

Form routine CONVERT_ITAB_RFC is incorrect in transfer program
     GP4C0LOLZ6OQ70V8JR365GWNW3K .
System Response
The IDoc processing was terminated and indicated as incorrect. The IDoc
     can be reimported at any time.
Procedure
1. Go to the transfer rule maintenance for your InfoSource
         ZFIN_TR_FLQITEM_FI and the source system DA_M_10 and regenerate the
         transfer program using the function Activate. Remove possible syntax
         errors on the basis of your conversion routines.
2. Restart the processing of this IDoc.
3. If the error occurs again search for SAPNet R/3 notes, and create a
        problem message if necessary.

Goto RSA1>> then to source system tab (on left side) >> double click on the desired source system...........Then on the right side you have the Datasource tree..........there search the datasource and activate.......Also u can Replicate the datasource again.......and activate the Transfer rules using the program : RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL
After this operation when come back to source system (R/3).........I think the error log line will be disappeared from SM58......... Then repeat the load.........
Also u can try to Activate the infosource once...........in RSA1.........before repeating the load....
