Shortcut keys to menu bar?

Hi, I've looked everywhere on websites, forums.. I need to ask here since I can't find the answer.
What is the shortcut keys to "menu bar" on photoshop on mac?
I just want to go to the menus below, by using shortcut.

Layer
Type
Select

Ctrl+F2 is the default to move focus to the Apple icon in the menu bar. Then press the initial letter of the desired menu or use arrow keys.
If the system is set up so that the function keys act as media control keys then the fn key (above delete key) must be depressed to bypass the special features printed on the function keys. You can invert that behaviour in System Preferences for Keyboard to make the function keys easier to use.
You can change the shortcut for menu focus in the System Preferences for Keyboard Shortcuts. For example, change from Ctrl+F2 to just F2.

Cannot click bookmarks on menu bar after ALT-key when menu bar is hidden

If you personalize the toolbars, dock the "Bookmarks objects" to the menu bar (useful to reduce space) and hide the menu bar (making it visible by pressing the ALT key) you're not able to click a bookmarks bar's item anymore because (after having shown it by pressing ALT key) as you click the bookmark button the menu bar loses focus causing the whole bar to be hidden again and the click event to be catched by the main window instead of the bookmark button.

With F10 you obtain the same result, the menu bar is shown but when you click on a non-menu item the bar is hidden again not allowing the bookmark item to catch the click event.
Of course I know how to move the bookmarks bar back to the tab bar, but it is not a solution to the problem I've posted, just a workaround. As I've said in my previous post I've moved the bookmarks bar there to limit the height of the window's heading section: if I move it down again I miss my target.
Anyway, I don't think we are here to decide wherever to place the bookmarks bar, but to notify to the developers the presence of this issue.

Menu Bar - Sound Volume icon does not move with the press of the F key

So I normally press the F keys to control the Sound Volume, right, just like everyone else does -
but the Sound Volume icon in the Menu Bar at the top right does not respond to the F key at all!
Isn't it supposed to react simultaneous with the press of the F key?
I have to actually use my mouse click to make that volume go up and down.
The actual volume does work with the F key, it goes up and down.
But to make the 2 work in sync, I have to point the mouse to the one at the Menu Bar, fiddle with it, and then I can use the F key and both work together at the same time.
If I haven't touched the Menu Bar one for a while and I only use the F key, the Menu Bar one doesn't move at all.
It's weird. Any ideas?

I see what Al is seeing. Normally I just use one method or the other. The Volume Adjustment keys provide visual feedback, so it's unnecessary to check the menu extra, i.e. the Volume menu bar icon, to see the same feedback.
The slight delay in the reaction of the Volume menu extra, when open and while adjusting the volume with the Volume keys is normal.
They're independent methods for adjusting the Volume setting. The Volume menu extra takes a moment to refresh when the slider is displayed and you're changing the setting via the Volume keys.

Icons in menu bar or dock

Is there a way to run regular programs (such as iCal) with the icon in the menu bar and not the dock? Even if they aren't necessarily designed to do so?
I was wondering if there was some terminal command for it.

no terminal commands for this. but there are lots of 3rd party apps that will let you place application shortcuts in the menu bar. I use Butler which lets you do it. I'm sure just about any other app launcher like Quicksilver or Spark offers this functionality too.

ok, I found the keyboard viewer, it only shows the traditional symbol 'return'. something like a sideway u-turn continued with the arrow under. This is the Canadian or US keyboard.

Yes, Bridge shortcut has been removed from PS CS5. However, you can go to File->Browse in Bridge option to open the file in Br CS6.

The menu bar and task bar are missing. I tried opening in safe mode like instructed but there is no firefox button and I tried opening with shift key down but it doesn't open in safe mode.

all that is showing is bookmark tabs. I can't search or open my home page. I don't have a fire fox button at the top to click on to open in safe mode.

Photoshop Elements 2: Top Of Picture Disappears Under Shortcuts Menu Bar.

I know it's not an eMac problem but I thought this would be the best place to ask!
At one time whenever I opened a photo in PSE2 the top edge of the photo's window was neatly aligned with the bottom of the Shortcuts Menu Bar.
Now whenever I open a picture the top of the picture's window disappears under the menu. If it doesn't disappear the moment it is opened, it does if I try to enlarge it.
This means I cannot move the picture around the monitor or close the picture with the red button at the top.
The only cure I have found is to remove the Shortcuts Menu bar, which is rather inconvenient!
I have fiddled around with the preferences and also turned the "Resize Windows To Fit" setting on and off to no avail.
This never used to happen - so has anyone got a solution?

PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!!!!
After a day of intermittent head-banging I have solved it.
The Shortcuts Bar should always be ABOVE the Options Bar.
Although I have used Photoshop a lot, I can go for weeks without looking at it.
Somehow the positions of the Shortcut and Options bars had been switched and I hadn't noticed.
I don't know how because I didn't even realise they could be moved and nobody else uses my computer!
Anyway, now the Shortcuts Bar is on top everything is back to normal.
Hope this is of some help should it happen to anyone else.

FN key menue bar does not appear on Satellite R

PROB-1: i bought this Lap before 4 months.. suddenly my FN key is not working... that is, if i press FN key, menu bar does not POP OUT, but if i hold FN key and press F7 or F6, the screen brightness is changing.
I got this in Saudi Arabia, the key board also have Arabic font (which i really dont want).
PROB-2: If i want to type "@", i have to press ' Shift+" ' instead of ' Shift+2 '

Prob 1:
The FN button row which appears at the top of the display is controller by Flash Card Support Utility.
Go to All Programs -> Toshiba -> Flash Cards and restart this software.
If this does not help, then reinstall this tool.
Prob2:
I assume you keyboard language setting does not match with the keyboard layout.
Simply change the keyboard language setting.
I assume you will need to change this to English (United state)

Shortcut for Scripts... Menu Bar Item

Is it possible to add a shortcut to the Scripts... menu item in Photoshop CC 2014?
I have not been able to figure this out.

I place a shortcut to my Photoshop Scripts tree into each Photoshop version Preset\Scripts folder to link all version to my Photoshop scripts. CS2, CS6 x32 and x64, CC x32 and x64 and CC 2014 all six Photoshop version use use the same script files.
For short cut keys I have to edit each Photoshop version keyboard Shortcuts or Create Photoshop Actions that use my scripts and assign shortcut key to these actions. While the Actions may sound stupid. They are all in a single Action set. Its much easier to load that action set into each version of Photoshop then to edit each Photoshop version shortcut keys and adding all the shortcuts or maintain Names sets of saved Photoshop shortcuts for both Script and other personal Photoshop shortcut keys. Well it is for my feeble mind. If Photoshop versions were more compatible one would not need so many versions installed....

Top menu bar has pretty much everything you need.
File > Save | SaveAs | Save All
Edit > Undo | Redo

Can I disable the shortcut keys on the tool bar?

I am running quick books online. When I try to use a short cut key for qb online (alt+s), the Foxfire History menu drops down. Can I disable the firefox short cut keys?

Press the Shift key in addition to the shortcut keys and use Shift+Alt+S for the QB online site.
