Show a vi that is normally hidden

Hi Guys,
i have a VI that has a subVI constantly running in the back ground, but i want a button on the main VI to allow a user to make the subVI visible, then when the user closes the sub VI i want it to go back to running in the background.
So to clarify i want the SubVI to run all the time out of sight but allow a user to show/hide it from the main VI.
I have looked at property nodes but i cant create a reference for a sub VI.
Any ideas >?

Easiest would be to place a static VI reference (application control palette), and browse for the correct VI. Then use an invoke node with FP.open method.

"Dock" showing in the dock, and other apps that should normally be hidden

Hi Folks - I used Dockless just to try a few things and it didn't work so well. I unistalled it and now I'm having issues with certain running "subapps" that are normally hidden showing up in the Dock and I can't remove them. Screen shot says it all. But, they are:
-loginwindow
-Dock
-SystemUIServer
-Airport Base Station Agent
-Folder Action Dispatcher
-XMenu
-Caffeine (normally only shows in the toolbar)
I have tried many of the resources I've found online, such as removing com.apple.dock.plist and .dlb which did reset the Dock to default, but these apps were still showing. I have tried to remove them manually by dragging them to the desktop, trash, etc, no luck. I haven't heard back from Dockless yet on this.
Any thing else?

Still no fix. Any ideas?

When normally powering the phone, there would not be a loading bar, you would just see the Apple logo. You can try a reset of the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot.
You can take the phone to Apple, by making an appointment at the Genius Bar to have the hardware checked. Apple handles warranty and post-warranty issues, not Verizon. Have Apple look at the hardware to see if there are any problems.

I used to be able to view all cloud and downloaded content. I no longer can.

There used to be option to show items that are in the cloud in your library, but I can't find where that now is (unless it's been removed). You should be able to see what items that you can re-download via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (at the top right of that there should be a 'not on this computer' button)

Restoring an app that has been hidden by Show Desktop in Windows 7

Does anyone know if a way to restore/unhide an AIR app that has been hidden by the Show Desktop command in Wndows 7? I used AutoHotKey to remap the Windows-D shortcut but it still does not capture the Show Desktop button in the Taskbar. I thought if there was a way that an AIR app could know that it had been hidden and restore itself I could use a Timer or create an eventListener to handle it.
I am trying to replicate the old Active Desktop of XP and the goal is to make sure that the app remains on the desktop at all times. This is the last hurtle!

The import seemed to start normally, I went to mail to check messages, came back to iPhoto & the usual prompt about wanting to delete the photos on the card never came up. The photos didn't show up in events or the library & the device icon wasn't showing so I tried to import again. A prompt then came up saying that I needed to wait until the import was done!

Hi, this problem is also happening to me also. I just took some pics of my daughter on my nikon d3100 and imported them from SD card to iPhoto. It says 'preparing to import' but during the process i do not see the photos being imported. After it was done, there was a new event album, i clicked opend it to see my photos but all of them were blank. I forced quit and re-launched iPhoto but it didnt work, i even re-imported, not to no avail.. Please help. Earlly 2011 13' MacBook pro 10.7.2

Thank you but I have now solved my problem.
I was trying to move music files from one iTunes library on one computer to the iTunes library on another computer.
The instructions on the Apple site tell you to open sharing on both libraries and then use the Show menu button at the bottom of the window to select 'items not in my library'
What they don't tell you is that the button is on a hidden toolbar that will only appear if both libraries are logged in to the same account with the same ID and passward in Home Sharing which is in the Advanced drop down menu.
I had Home Sharing switched on in my Preferences but was not using identical IDs & passwords.
As the toolbar with the Show menu botton was hidden I could not see it until I worked out that both computers needed an identical log-in. With that done after various trial and error efforts I found the button and was able to move the files.

Is it possible to have a chart that references a hidden column?

I have a table that has columns for total weight loss and *per week* weight loss. I want the table to show the per week weight loss, but I want to hide the total weight loss within the table. I only want to show the total weight loss as a chart, and not within the table. So, I set the total weight loss column to be "hidden" within the table, but the chart that references the hidden column also hides the information on the chart itself. Is there a way to have hidden table information appear in a chart?

Comenity Cards Open but show a comment that says Closed by credit grantor

Hey guys I had an issue earlier where Comenity closed my cards due to a fraud flag but I got that issue resolved. Well when they closed my cards they put a comment on each account that said "Closed by credit Grantor" but after I resolved the issue and reactivated my accounts I looked at my reports and the accounts do show as open but the comment "Closed by credit grantor" is still there. Is this normal? Is this bad on your credit? Should I dispute this with the CRA's? I have just never seen that happen before.

I show in iTunes that I have purchased some TV shows after view my purchase history. However these TV shows did not download in iTunes nor are they showing in unfinished/interrupted downloads. How do I recapture previously purchased items.

So far as I am aware, books haven't been available for 6 years, so I'm wondering if you mean audiobooks.
Audiobooks are not currently part of the content that can be re-downloaded.

Am I crazy? The manual shows effect automation that I can't access.

Humor me. Take a look at the pdf manual on page 363. It shows effect parameters that can be automated, but I can't bring up any on neither track, bus, nor submix. I can add effects, but none have shown the boxes in the automation column that the pdf promises.
Please tell me that I'm an idiot and I'm missing something obvious. This seems a simple enough task for any basic multi-tracker, especially if it's in the manual. I want to automate the parameters of an eq. I can think of many work arounds, but they are time wasters compared to the direct route.
Thanks in advance. Also, I searched and found that a previous fellow had expressed dismay at not being able to bypass an effect. That feature should be there, too, but I really just want what's on pg 363.

Yeah, I was looking for a freeze and a bypass automation. I hope that they show up in a later version - they seem like no brainers to me.
I gotta say, I used to think all audio programs were alike and I know a lot of them. STP2 is like learning a new language. I like the challenge and some features here are not found in any other program. I'll reserve my final judgement for a few months down the line. My main qualms is the constant crashing. I had to force quit over a dozen times today while doing a 2 minute space battle sequence. I'm pressing on, though, because I bought it and I like the workflow. I'm also hoping this program grows up to upend protools in post houses. I know it's not quite ready, but being a musician, I've grown to love PT alternatives (Cubase, Live, etc).

Might be a corrupted database ...
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

I have the latest downloadable version of LR5. It crashed while it was createing 1:1 previews during an import. After a Win7(64) restart, it shows a message that LR needs to quit because it can't read the preview files and it will try to fix it the next

I get the same message the next and every subsequent time it launches so I can't launch LR at all now.
I get that the preview file got corrupted somehow. Is there some way to fix this problem without building a new catalog?

Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. You will see a folder with the extension .lrdata. You need to delete that folder and then start Lightroom again. Lightroom will generate a new previews folder.
