When the gateway for 'Routing Information Sources' is dead, it doesnt get removed/discard.
Must i remove it manually?how?

That is simply an informational line. The fact that the router remembers that you heard from a gateway 42 minutes ago is simply for your information. It does not impact on RIP operation at all.
If you really want to clear it, you will have to remove the rip process and then re-configure it but I don't see any reason why you need to do so.

JCA is not showing in protocol dropdown in Eclipse3.5.2 IDE
I'm creating OSB business service with *db.jca file, which is imported from JDeveloper. It is creating .biz and .wsdl files in the directory. Then I'm trying to modify the business service with JCA transport. The JCA protocol is not showing in protocol dropdown in eclipse IDE. I'm using Oracle SOA Suite 11gR1(11.1.1.3) and oepe_11gR1PS2. Failover to redundant box shows Redundancy Protocol: Not Running on CSS
After failover to redundant (backup) BOX, the backup BOX becomes Master but output of âsh redundancyâ shows Redundancy Protocol: Not Running and shows intermittent packet drops.

WLC 5508 APs showing Line Protocol Down
I have a WLC 5508 (software version 7.5.102.0) and it has 175 APS (mixture of 1131, 1142, 1602, 2602). Recently I've noticed that
about 40 of those APs don't work on the 2.4G Dot11Radio0. sh int dot11 0 shows me:

I've tried restarting the interface,to no avail, but rebooting the whole AP does bring it back up, but I expect that's a solution to the symptom, not the problem.Hi Sean,
There are certain related bugs of this version. You may need to check whether you are hitting one these. I would suggest staying in 7.4.121.0 code would be a good idea unless you require new features available in 7.5 or 7.6.

Error when using File protocol
Hi,
I have set up ACME (Host) and Vision (TP) to send an xml file using "Custom Document over Generic Exchange". I post a file to the inbound queue using the tutorial shell script. The file shows up in the /tmp/b2b directory that I set up. However, it gets deleted in about a minute.
The transactions shows as completed under "Business Message Status Report" The error report shows: "Document protocol identification error."
The debug log shows the following:

This could be due to the fact that you have used the same endpoint for Vision and Acme.
The flow seems to be as follows
- Enqueue message into Queue
- Acme B2B picks up the message, finds the message is for Vision and drops it into the endpoint defined for Vision (endpoint taken from the Delivery Channel created for TP Vision). Till this it seems as expected.
- Acme B2B polls on the endpoint for it to receive the message ( this is endpoint taken from the Delivery Channel created for Host Acme).
- If there is a file in the endpoint directory, it will be picked by Acme B2B.
I feel you have the same endpoint given for both Acme and Vision. Please try the following
- Change the Vision endpoint to /tmp/vision
- If the endpoint had been used as "use exsiting" then even the Acme endpoint would have changed to "/tmp/vision", so please create a new Delivery Channel for Acme and set this endpoint to "/tmp/Acme".

There could be few reasons majorly physical layer issue when the line protocol goes down.
Can you please update which interface was showing line protocol down. Logical interface (SVI) on layer 3 switch, physical port on layer 2/3 switch or any physical interface on router?
If it is a physical interface on layer 2 switch it is majorly a physical layer issue or may be that particular vlan asscosiated to that port got deleted.
If it is a layer 3 logical interface showing line protocol down may be there is no vlan associated to that vlan configured on layer 2 switch port or no trunk carrying that vlan on that switch.

Hi ,
I ma showing success messages inside a loop verifying a paticulra condition. Now when the user runs the report in foreground only the last message is shown.
Is there any way around.
Thanks in advance.I´d rather go for the solution of building a protocoll in your loop, and adding sucess or error messages for the certain records.
Then show your protocoll when ready or maybe even just on demand (button).
This avoids such problems as you run into right now, and it´s a lil bit of a cleaner solution. Besides you will still be able to view the protocoll half an hour later, while your sucess messages would be gone once you press F3. -
SX20 Is showing up in ARP table but not reachable

I'm currently working on an issue at a customer site where two of the video endpoints (both SX20s, one running TC7.3 and one running TC7.2) will work in some switch ports and not work in others. The switches that they are connected to are both 3560s running the same ios version and with the same switchport/vlan configuration. Both switches are connected to a Nexus 5k and this is then connected to our router (2821). The switches are managed by the local site IT while I manage the router. All IP's are statically assigned.
On the router I can see the endpoint's MAC address and it shows up in the ARP table correctly but it is not pingable. Our other video systems that are not SX20's work properly when connected to these ports (Tandberg 990MXP, C20 and C40). When we replace the codec with a PC with the same IP/MASK/GW configuration it is pingable. This leads me to believe it's not a networking issue but is an issue with the endpoints themselves. However, they do work properly when they are connected to other ports that have the same configuration.
Has anyone else run into similar issues?

XID protocol error , sense 08910005 invalid CP name
I am trying to set up APPC LU62 connection between 2 Micro Focus enterprise server PCs. I have HIS 2010 server and client installed on each of the 2 PCs. An IP-DLC link was created and a peer to peer connection was defined using the SNA manager. However
I am getting a failure on the connection. The event viewer shows XID protocol error 08910005 invalid CP name. The CP name was showing all zeros in the event viewer.
Both servers have the same NETID 'MFNET' and CP name of 'MFCP'
I also tried with one server with CP name MFCP and one with MFCP1. But the same error.
This is the first time I am using HIS. Most of the examples are showing connection to Host. But I am doing a peer to peer connection. I may have missed something in my configuration. Can anyone help ?The IP-DLC link service was implemented to integrate with IBM Enterprise Extender on IBM mainframes and iSeries (AS/400s) systems. While HIS Servers using IP-DLC can communicate with each other via IP-DLC, they need to do so through a Network Node Server
(NNS). For example, our internal mainframe is a NNS, so I can have two HIS Servers using IP-DLC configured to connect to the NNS and I can enable APPC communication between the two HIS Servers. I cannot do this directly without an NNS.
Using DLC to connect HIS Servers has and can be done, but not with current versions. The DLC protocol and the 802.2 DLC link service have been removed from HIS starting with HIS 2010. HIS 2009 is the last version that supports DLC and this is only on 32-bit
systems because a 64-bit version of DLC never existed. The last 32-bit Windows Server version is Windows Server 2008 (not R2). Since you have HIS 2010, you don't have an option to try DLC. If you were to try HIS 2009, you would need to make sure the MFES servers
are running on 32-bit operating systems.
Have you checked with MicroFocus to see if they have any options to meet your needs?
I have worked with customers using MicroFocus with HIS, but they were communicating with IBM mainframes or AS/400s.

Internet Connection Became Slow after Introduction of Cisco ASA 5505 to the Network
I configured a Cisco ASA 5505 (Version Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 7.2(3)

in transparent firewall mode and inserted after Cisco 1700 router. However, the internet connection became very slow and users are compaining that they cannot load any pages.

B2B - Error While sending the document to GXS from Oracle B2B server.
When I am trying to send the document to GXS, getting the following error. This message is show in the window that pops up when you click on Reports->WireMessage->Details of the Message.
I am trying to find what is causing the issue.

1) Created the Document Definition.

2) Created Trading Partner Profile
Trader_Joes
3) Added Document Definition to the TP as receiver.
4) Configured a channel with Protocol "Generic HTTP-1.0". Is it showing only one entry, HTTP.
Transport Protocol: Selected "HTTP" from the dropdown list.

Your listener is not running so the error.
Oracle tns listener runs as a service.
At windows level go to START->RUN->SERVICES.MSC
You can see the status os oracle tnslistener if not started start it and run the installation.

Hi, Since I've updated, everytime I go to print on any of the printers I'm connected to at work, which up to a couple of days ago and the update I keep getting that printer is paused, but won't resume no matter what. Any thoughts?
Printers are Toshiba printers at work, couple different models, none of which now will print for me. I'm using a MBP Late 2008, 8GB ram. (have repaired permissions).

For many the solution has been to replace the 10.6.8 cups backend services with the versions present in 10.6.7. So if you have been using Time Machine you can follow the same procedure of restoring some of the files located in /usr/libexec/cups/backend. Depending on what protocol the Mac is using to connect to the Toshiba you can just replace this backend. To determine what backend is being used, open Print & Fax and select the Toshiba queue. Then click on Options & Supplies and look at the General tab. You will see the print queue URL and this will show what protocol is being used, such as lpd, socket or dnssd. Once you know this you can then just restore the old backend service and replace the new version.

I have a time capsule and have very slow connectivity at some places in my home. Is there a way to boost the signal? I've read Airport Express, Airport Extreme, and some Linksys devices. Any reason to choose one over the other? Will boosting the signal create other problems (slow speeds, etc)?

I have a few articles here that I believe can help shed some light on this situation. First, here is some information about troubleshooting your particular issue:

If Internet access is slow on your computer, confirm your network supports the correct Wi-Fi standards. 802.11n provides the fastest Wi-Fi speeds. Other standards are fast, but you should confirm that your computer is using the fastest protocol available.
Hold the Option key while clicking the Wi-Fi menu.The PHY Mode line shows the protocol your computer is using to join the Wi-Fi network. If this does show the expected 802.11 protocol, you should check the settings of your Wi-Fi router. Consult the manufacturer of your router for information about configuring it.
Disable other active network services. Active network services consume a portion of the available bandwidth. Examples of these include file servers, video streaming, online games, and so forth. When these are in use, they may cause other services to slow down. Try turning off unused network applications to increase the speed of other applications. Be aware that other computers or devices connected to your network may also contribute to poor performance. If you are not sure if a computer associated with your Wi-Fi network is causing poor performance, try turning it off or disconnecting it from the network.
Use WPA2 Authentication, if available. The WPA2 authentication mode meets the highest standards for Wi-Fi compliance and should be used to provide the greatest speeds for modern Wi-Fi networks. Other authentication methods may reduce performance of your Wi-Fi network. In order to change the authentication method offered by your Wi-Fi router, you will need to contact the manufacturer.
Check your range to the Wi-Fi router and reduce the effect of interference. If your computer is too far from your Wi-Fi router or your environment has too much Wi-Fi interference, then your computer may not detect the Wi-Fi network properly. The easiest way to check for range limits with your Wi-Fi network is to move your computer or your Wi-Fi router closer together and make sure that there are no obstructions (such as walls, cabinets, and so forth) between the router and your computer.See Potential sources of wireless interference for more information about interference and solutions.
Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network. If your computer works fine when connected to a different Wi-Fi network, then the issue may be related to your network router or ISP. In that case, contact the manufacturer of your router or your ISP.

Oracle 8i - no protocal support shown
I am currently installing Oracle8i on RedHat Linux 6.1. Within the Universal Installer, a page is shown for "Oracle Protocol Support" with a box showing the protocols supported by my Linux box. However, there is nothing listed. Are there special RPMs that I have to install for this native protocol software? For my Linux installation, I chose the easy path and did a "KDE Workstation" installation that the RedHat installer offers. I would have thought this includes the necessary network protocol software....

Ignore the empty list. It works fine. Once you run dbassist it will configure the listner with IPC and tcp connections for the instance. Haven't tried a second instance yet, but assume it will correctly change the listener.ora file..
