Show Messages when DB is Down

Hi Experts,
Actually obiee is integrated with siebel, we have some reports to fetch the data from siebel, if in case the siebel server is down , we just want to show that message something like 'Siebel Server is Down' . Is this possible in OBIEE. How to capture the information when server is down. Can any one help me out on this.,

Yes, rite. Capturing of Siebel Health should be done by Siebel Admin person or you can check for some scripts which will auto-change the flag value based on the status. This is out of OBIEE functionality. What I'm saying is that you need to get these things done with some scripts or something. Once the flag value is autmated, then it can be utilized in OBIEE, else you have no option.

Now, as per Adren's inputs, I have kept the html file under icmerror flder.
Also I have given this : icm/HTTP/error_templ_path = usrsapTWCJC00dataicmerror , under sapwebdisp.pfl file.
I have also restarted the whole server node. Now
1. How to check whether this given message i.e. Portal is Down is working or not ? (How to stop and see whether the given msg comes or not)
2. My Web Dispatcher is not working. I am getting below error message when i try to check the url : http://host:port/sap/wdisp/admin/default.html

Redirect to an otage message when OBIEE services down

Hi,
We have OBIEE 11g installed on Weblogic 10.3.3.0 and we have to have an outage message when either BI presentation Service or BI server goes down.
Basically redirection to different URL or customized HTML page.
I believe there is a customization which possible in weblogic.
Can anyone direct me to it?

The quickest thing I can point you to is the SRDemo Sample (ADFBC Version) where the demo includes a one-time(-per-user-session) check the prepareModel() method of the SRDemoPageLifecycle.java class in the demo. There's a comment that says "Force a one-time check..."
And this calls a method proactivelyWarnDemoUserIfConnectionNotSetupCorrectly(ctx) if the AM cannot be acquired successfully (due to a database issue).
Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but I haven't had time to research a more elegant, specific solution.

Message indicator shows messages when there are none

How to correct the envelope indicator at the top of the screen that shows the number of messages to be 3 when the message & email inbox is empty? I have tried shutting the unit down but it still shows 3 messages and there is none. Help, thanks.

I would like to show a message (in place of the portlet) to the users who don't have the privileges to view a page or portlet, or who aren't logged on.

Thanks for the feedback. Since this appears to be a permissions issue there's one other thing to check. When the merge modules are installed there's often an option to install for "me" or for "everyone." Make sure the files are being deployed for everyone.
Here are links to some RDC and .NET documents as well as the Statement of Direction for the RDC. I'm not sure if you'll actually be able to pull them up though. Some documents require a login for the Service Market Place in order to view them. Hopefully these will work without logging in.

Error message when populating drop-down list with mysql DB

Hi everyone,
i'm having an error message which gives zero result on google...
here's the context: i have a drop-down list called "Patient" in the template pages of a livecycle form. The binding is set to Global so that the value is the same on the two pages of the form. I have also linked the items of the list to a mysql database (with DataConnection) by clicking the "Specify Item Values" link on the Binding tab of the element.
now, when i open my form (or preview) i get this message, in french:
"Propriété incorrecte de l'opération SET; dataGroup ne possède pas de propriété id."
which is, in english (personal translation):
"Incorrect property of the SET operation; dataGroup doesn't have an id property."
this message appears in a messagebox, the background is empty (standard gray color)
Then i click "OK" (which is the only button available), and my form appears, the list is populated with the values of my database table, so it actually works...
As i said, i have zero results on google with this message...
any idea what it means and how to avoid it?

TS4079 siri is not showing up in my general settings and wont show up when i hold down the home button. What Should I do?

Siri isnt showing up in my general settings in my iphone 5 or my moms 4s. i tried turning it off than on again and its still not working. I tried getting it to work by holding down the home button and voice control keeps showing up.

How can I install Acrobat Standard XI on my Mac? I have paid and have the serial number but am getting an error message that it cannot be opened in Word because it is larger than 32 mb. Why is it trying to open in Word? I don't get it.

There is no Mac version of Acrobat Standard. It is only for Windows. Either run it on Windows, or return the product for a refund.

Restart message when I shut down

I have been getting a message telling me I need to restart my computer for the last two days. It started after the last update. I believe it a security update. Has this been happening to anyone else?

Is this message on a grey screen and in 3 languages? If so, you are experiencing a kernel panic.

Error Message when closing Captivate v4

I have just started to get the below error message when I close down Captivate 4.
Things seem (repeat ...seem) OK when I open Captivate again, but any error message is a worry, especially in Captivate.
Does anyone have any ideas what this is all about, and how to fix the problem it refers to?

What version of Mac OS X?
Click the black Apple icon on the top left of the screen and select About This Mac. The next screen will show the information.
