Show only unread mail

I am connected to my html email account.  I is on an Exchange server.  In outlook there is a folder called Unread Mail.  I have a lot of rules that filter my mail into folders so I use Unread Mail a lot in outlook.  I would prefer if my BlackBerry also looked at this folder to show my emails, this way I would get all of those that were filtered and not just the ones in the inbox.  Is there a way for me to do this?  I am running version 6.0 bundle 2426 of the BlackBerry software on my phone.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Anyone have any thoughts on a way to do what I am looking for?

  • View only unread mail

i have 4 email account. Some r unread and when i got time to check/read them, i have to scroll a looong way down to find unread mail. Why not have a function to view only unread mails or/flagged mails, maybe unresponded mails. Nice function for next version?

If you're running iOS 8, from the All Inboxes view, tap <Mailboxes in the upper left corner. There is now a smart mailbox to show Unread messages. If you don't see it, tap Edit in the upper right corner and toggle it on.

  • Show only one mail acct messages at a time?

Is there a way to show only messages from one email acct and not the combined messages from the linked accts in the new Mavericks update using Mail App?  I would like to be able to see only messages from one acct and not them all combined together.

Thank you!  I feel like an idiot bc I didn't even see the triangle.  The new look just threw me off.  Thank you!

  • Dock showing 10 unread mails that aren't there

I have checked all the folders within both accounts (Gmail & MobileMe) & there are no unopened mails. I have checked both accounts on-line to see if there are any discrepancies. There are no RSS feeds to open no reminders & nothing in the trash but still, the icon on the dock is showing 10 unread e-mails.
    Any advice please???
    Thanks!

Empty your mail trash, and then rebuild all of your mailboxes using the option in the mail application.

  • Mac Mail: Unread mail counter on dock icon shows "phantom" unread mails

The mailconter of my Mac Mail icon on the dock shows 25 unread messages, but I'm unable to find these inside Mac Mail as unread messages.
I did check all mailboxes and their subfolders for any undread messages that might be inside them, but I didn't find any.
Is there any way to reset or recalculate the unread mail counter for the dock icon?

    Hi Robert
The proposed rebuild did suddenly reveal the 25 unread mails insinde my archive mailfolders. By marking these as read again now shows the correct count of unread mails on the dock icon.
Thanks a lot, your hint was most helpful!

  • Displaying only Unread mail

How can one display only unread email? Doesn't seem to be intuitive way to do this.
    Thanks.

    Chip,
In mail just create a new "smart mailbox". The critera would be messages that meet the conditions "Message is Unread". Then you can just click or the smart mailbox and see unread email.

  • Deleted mails still shows as unread mail

I have an iPhone 4s. In my mail application I have deleted all my mails but it till shows that I have a number of unread messages. How do I get rid of this?

Some times glitches like that can be cleared by a simple reboot (leaves your content and settings as is) by holding both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignoring the red slider if that appears.

  • Is there a way to get ONLY UNREAD mail on my iphone and ipad and ALL mail into Outlook on my computer?

When I'm out and about, I pick up my mail on my iPad and/or on my iPhone. I HATE having to sift through the duplicates. I know I can delete the emails from the server as they are being downloaded, and that would solve the problem between the iDevices. But I still want a copy of them downloaded into Outlook on my desktop for future reference, so deleting them from the server before Outlook gets ahold of them does not seem like a good idea.
I currently have a POP3 account, but I could move onto an Exchange Server or into iCloud or something else if that would solve the problem.
    Suggestions gratefully accepted.
    Thanks.

You need an Exchange or IMAP account to do what you want. This will keep mail in sync on all of your devices.

  • Get count of unread mails

    Hi there!
Is there a way to get the count of unread mails (of Leopard Mail) via terminal? (Without using osascript/Applescript.) By reading out some XML file or sort of?
    TIA

Thanks jpimbert! Well, sadly this doesn't work. And I think it's not sql related. It' Mail related as Mail doesn't count the unread mails correctly. Example: no unread mails in the "general" inbox, but one in an online folder, that appears in the inbox as read at the same time. I use gmail and my own imap server. Both show them up in the same way. So it has nothing to do with gmail either.
Those ghostly unread mails don't appear anywhere in Mail unless you create a smart folder showing "only unread mails". The former sql command shows them, too.
So, can the sql statement by modified in a way that it only reflects local unread mails? (Therefore unaware that they might be IMAP.)

  • IPad mail shows 12 unread messages but they are all read

iPad mail shows 12 unread mail on the icon.  However, all mail has been read.  I checked every message available from the server and I deleted and reinstalled the email account.  Any help is appreciated

iPad only show last 50,100,200 emails depending upon settings.  I had this some time ago when the 17 (for example) emails were "dropped" off the list of emails on the iPad.  At the botton of the list of emails there should be a "show more" type option, press this to loand the previous batch of emails to see if the unread emails are in there.
Also watch out for threading emails.  It could be you need to open a thread to see the email.  Also an option you can disable (I did!)

  • How can I filter so I can only see unread mail?

I hate it when an unread piece of mail is way behind lots of pages. I want to keep unread mail to a minimum. but sometimes a new unread mail appears listed and I can't find it. Is there some way to display only unread mail?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, see this forum for support.

  • IPhone 4S Mail All Inboxes shows 4,294,967,289 unread mail messages

    1. On my iPhone 4S in the Mail app, if I go into the Mailboxes and look at my Inboxes it shows 4,294,967,289 mail messages (see screen shot). This number is clearly incorrect, as I don't have any unread emails, and my accounts don't have anywhere near this number of emails. Of course my mail icon on the home screen doesn't show anything because the number is (incorrectly) too large.
    2. On my iPad 2 in the Mail app (with the same iCloud and gmail accounts all synced up), if I go into the Mailboxes and look at my Inboxes it shows no unread mail messages, which is correct. If I get a new message, then it will show the number of unread messages accurately (1 or 2 or whatever).
Has anyone seen this problem? I deleted all my mail accounts in the iPhone and added them back again, but that did not correct the problem. I am up to date on all software as well.
    Thanks for the help.

The number 4,294,967,290 corresponds to negative 6 in base 32.
It's a bug with the way gmail is reporting unread messages, or the way your iPhone is counting them. A restore should fix it.
Short of restoring your iPhone try this: Make sure you have read all your messages and the unread message count remains 4,294,967,290. Then, send six messages to your gmail account. Do not open them.
If that resets your "unread mail" count to zero then never open those six messages

  • How to include the exchange sub folder's unread mail into the "UNREAD" group in default exchange mail app in iPhone ?

I am using ios 7.0.2. I have many sub folders in my exchange mail box. Problem is when any mail comes to the sub folder, it is not counted as unread mail and it also does not be visible under the unread mail group. The unread mail group only shows the unread mails which have come directly to inbox but not the mails which comes to the sub folder according to the set rule. Have any one noticed this ridiculous thing? Is there any solution or it's a bug??

I have the same problem. On the IPad and IPhone I can easilly connect to our Exchange server. When setting up a MacBook Air, using the same settings (account/server address etc) it doesn't work...
Does anyone have a solution for this?
    Thanks!

JavaMail supports two standard protocols for reading mail POP3 and IMAP.
As explained in the JavaMail FAQ (you found it, right?), the POP3 protocol
doesn't provide information on unread messages.
As far as I know, only Gmail supports IMAP. I don't believe either AOL or MSN
support even POP3, but I'm not sure.
