I have re-installed iCloud for windows 7, and can't sign in now.
"you can't sign in because of a server error ".
what should I do?

any other way? i have the same problem, but have installed other software, like itunes, since I last installed icloud.
i was really looking for an uninstall and look a way round.

Apple will not ask you to click a link in an email. They may tell you to log in to your account to reset your password. Go to https://appleid.apple.com and log in if you ever want to change any information in your profile (or your password). And do not click the link I just posted; instead enter it into a browser.
You can verify the devices assigned to your account by going to https://icloud.com/find (again, don't click it), where you can see a list of devices registered to your Apple ID.
As a general rule, you should never click a link in an email or forum post without verifying it first. You can see where it goes without clicking it in most email programs and browsers by hovering your mouse pointer over it. On an iPhone you can check where it goes by holding your finger on the link (rather than just tapping it).

You will have to sign in to I cloud on any of the iOS device with version 5 or above once with your Apple Id to use your Apple Id as I cloud account. So if you have an iPhone iPad or iPod touch with iOS 5 or later.
On your iOS device go to settings > I cloud and sign in and you should be able to use your Apple Id as an icloud Id.

You can't setup an iCloud account using a PC. You need a Mac, or an IOS device. You can sign into iCloud on your PC once you open an account.

I was looking at the "Find my iPhone" app and I have a doubt regarding how it works for the macbook. In order to detect the location, the macbook should remain signed into iCloud. What if the thief logs out of iCloud. Would we able to locate the macbook?

It should work fine for iPhone/iPad because we can enable "Restrictions" to prevent the user from signing out of iCloud. Do we have simialr settings for the macbook?

If it's not on the device list, it indicates that someone has gone to Find My iPhone on icloud.com and manually deleted it from the device list (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0eeddd), and it has not gone back online since (which would cause it to reappear on the device list; Find My iPhone has been turned of in settings on the device; the iClolud account has been deleted from the device; or the entire devices has been erased and restored.
Unfortunately, there's no other way to track the phone other than through Find My iPhone. You could call your carrier and see if they would blackliste it so at least the theif couldn't use it.

Can't update apple ID on my Mac to sign into icloud

I changed my apple ID to a different email address a while ago. But I cannot sign in to icloud on my Mac because the Mac still shows the old ID. I can sign into icloud on the icloud site with the new ID. Because my Mac still shows the old ID, icloud is not storing any new data for me. How can I change my apple ID on this laptop? I already made sure it is changed everywhere I can, but I still cannot access my icloud information. Thanks!

To change the iCloud account, first you have to log out of the old one. Open System Preferences > iCloud, and if you don't want to lose your contacts, calendars, notes..., untick all services first. Then, press "Sign Out" at the left part of the window.
Finally, insert your new Apple ID and password, and follow the steps

To get it to your new Apple ID, you would need to change it back to your old on so you can turn off Find My Device and turn it off. Once that is done, change it back to what you are currently using now. Take a look at the article below for more information.

If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

I immediately called my phone company (Verizon) and reported the phone stolen.So I know whoever took the phone cannot place calls or use the phone. But can they still access my data on the phone if they manage to unlock the phone? If so how can I erase all data on the phone so the thief can't access my personal information? is there any other way other than Find my IPhone to wipe off the data on the phone? I really don't want my personal information such as pictures, text messages, notes and social networks profile available to a stranger!!? Help please!!!

You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. I forgot the password on my ipad and i didnt sign into icloud or find my iphone and i connected my ipad to itunes but it doesnt let me restore my ipad as it does not connect to the apple software what should i do?

I forgot my password to my iPad and it said to connect to iTunes so I did. I went on Apple support to try and find a way to restore my iPad. The options given were to either sign into iCloud of Find my iPhone and restore it, but it wouldn't work because I didn't download the Find my iPhone app and I wasn't signed into iCloud. My other option was to connect to iTunes and restore it so I tried many times but it keeps saying that the apple software cannot be connected. I used Apple support once again to see if i can sort out the problem but nothing seems to work. Is there anything else that I can do to restore it??

Try this:
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

In the Finder use the Go Menu whilst holding down the ALT key.
Select the Library that appears when you do this.
Navigate to Containers/com.apple.soagent/Data/Library/Preferences
You will notice that many of the items are Aliases (to the Originals in ~/Library/Preferences).
But there are exceptions.
Delete (Drag to Trash) the com.apple.soagent.plist and com.apple.messageshelper.AccountInfoController.plist
Restart the Mac (I have not worked out is SOAgent launches when the Mac does).
Restart Messages.
If this does not work navigate to ~/Library/Preferences
In here find and Delete com.apple.ids.service.com.apple.madrid.plist
This will need a Restart of the app.
You will be asked Again for your Apple ID
