Signature image for outlook

I am trying to create a signature image for outlook but the image is loosing sharpness when the mail is delivered. What is the ideal work flow to create a signature image?

My workflow would be as follows, as I tested it and found the most satisfying for creating signatures for emails:
Preferably use a graphic tablet and a stylus to create a hand signature
In Illustrator create a regular A4/Letter document
Use the Brush tool: Caligraphic Brush, e.g. 5pt Oval
Draw a large, comfortable signature
Turn on Window>Pixel View and adjust the size of the signature for your final output. After scaling down the path, the 5pt brush might be too large, you can either pick smaller brush 3pt or manipulate with the path/stroke size. Keep it a bit thicker rather than thinner, it will look nicer.
Save for web: GIF, Grayscale, Transparency
Voila. Good luck.

  • Attching images for Outlook

Hi All, When sending an email to a user of Outlook with a picture as an attachment, the recipient has to double click the attchment and then click 'open' to see the image in a viewer program. What a pain!!!
How can I attach an image in my 'Mail' app and the recipient just see it there amongst the text!!? Just like other Mac user recipients!!
    Thanks
    Adam

    Hello Adam.
The Mail.app displays all image/photo attachments inline or viewed in place within the body of the message by default.
Depending on the recipient's email client and available preference settings, such attachments may appear inline or viewed in place within the body of the message when the message is opened by the recipient (as with the Mail.app) or as attached files only which must be opened separately for which the sender has no control over.
The only thing you can do differently is using an HTML editor of choice to included an embedded image (which are not true attachments). Save the finished document and open the file with Safari.
At the Safari menu bar, go to File and select Mail Contents of This Page. The document with embedded image opened with Safari will be copied to a new Mail.app message which will be send in its entirety.
IMO, way to much trouble for Windoze Outlook users.

  • How to add an image for Signature in OWA

I am having problems with adding a logo to Office Outlook WebAccess 2007. Share some Ideas on this.
Cheers! Maruthu | MCP - Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist | http://twitter.com/Marutha_Chalam

    Hi,
The following procedure will guide you through adding your own logo or image in Outlook web access signature
You will need access to a web server where to host the image, and a working Outlook desktop installation to send an email.
Start off by uploading the image to your company's website so that you can access it with an URL similar to
    http://www.wimesh.net/info/wimesh.gif.
Now open Outlook and click on New to compose a new message, now make sure that you are writing an HTML message by clicking on the dropdown menu on the left most part of the toolbar right bellow the menu bar in a box that can say HTML, Rich text, or Plain text,
    make sure to select HTML.
The next step would be to insert the picture. Click on the message body, and then go to the Insert menu, and click on Insert > Picture > From File... and where it says "File name:" type the the URL for your image like
http://www.wimesh.net/info/wimesh.gif. And send the message to your OWA account.
Now in the OWA account open the message you just sent, and highlight the image. Then go to Edit > Copy.
Now to insert it into the Signature, go to Options on the lower left corner of the screen, and find the button that says "Edit Signature..." and click it, paste your picture in the area that appears by right clicking on the box. Now you that you have your picture
in there, you can add other text to it, and Save and Close it.
    Hope that helps.

    Hi,
I had never heard of someone using the iPhone Number as the ID in the iMessages account in the Mac version.
i.e without adding an Apple ID
iMessages does allow iPhone numbers and mine lists mine.
    I would try this.
Sign Out of the iMessages account and Quit Messages
On the iPhone in Settings > Messages remove the Apple ID
Set the iPhone to Airplane mode for a few minutes (to break with the  Server)
On starting the phone up again check the iPhone Number  is ticked for iMessages.
If it is add the Apple ID
    On the Mac restart Messages
    Add the Apple ID
At this point you should get a pop up or two saying the iPhone is using the Number and Apple ID.
Accept these and they get added to the Receive At list and Send From drop down.

  • Exclaimer manager signature does not update sent items for outlook 2013 clients when using cached mode

    Hi
I have Signature Manager Exchange Edition 2.0.3.0 installed on the hub servers.
I have enabled  Sent Items update.
some clients are not getting signature update in the sent items of outlook while using cached mode.
from OWA, and MS Outlook when connected online, the signature is updated in the sent items.
I have two CAS servers and two mailbox servers. all with Exchange 2013 SP1
I tested each CAS server for the URLs of Autodiscover and EWS, with no errors or warnings.
    I also test Autodiscover through
    https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com . I go successful result.
Outlook clients are updated to the latest version 15.0.4701.1000
for outlook clients; I deleted outlook profile, deleted outlook folder in the user profile, re-created the  outlook profile, with no luck.
from Exclaimer event logs on the Hub servers. the sent items update is successfully updating clients. below is the screenshot of an event for one email message which is successfully updated from exclaimer but it did not update on the client outlook while
    using cached mode.
Since the issue is with multiple users, I am searching for a centralized solution

    Dear Mashhour
    Here you go
Employees can see their email signatures and disclaimers
With Exchange 2013, a Microsoft Outlook user can’t see any added email signatures or disclaimers as they are added to an email when it passes through the Exchange server.
Signature Manager Exchange Edition lets email users see their email signature and corporate disclaimer within the Sent Items of their inbox, giving them visual confirmation of the processed email

Updating to the latest version of signature manager exchange edition will help you to resolve this problem for sure
Or you need to contact them to find a solution on this .
I'm pretty much sure that this problem is related with some version mismatch on their s/w on exchange 2013 which is causing this issue.

  • Does Acrobat Reader for Android support importing signature images? (TIF, JPG, BMP, PNG, etc)

I have a Galaxy Note 2 and I was looking to import a signature image instead of writing in the scrawl box.

    Thanks in advance!!

No, Reader on android does not support it yet. May be something for the future releases.

  • Image Signature Field for form

Is there a way to add a image signature field (not by certificate) to a form? Say, someone takes a stylus on a tablet pc, and signs their name in a box...and that actual signature image is saved within the form. Is there a way to complete this?

I have figured out how to do this. Its all based on the signature and has nothing to do with image fields, signature fields or LifeCycle.
Create a digital signature (I used Windows Certificate Store type ) as normal.
After creating your signature, Select Create New Appearance from the Appearance combo box.
    3.     Give the new Appearance a title. You can have multiple appearances for one signature.
    4.     Click Imported Graphic and then click File. (The Signature image can ONLY be PDF!!)
    5.     Configure the text as required by clicking the checkboxes. Click OK when done
    6.     After you are done sign the document with the new appearance.
    Hope this helps.
Who knows why Adobes Help is so pathetic, couldnt this have been explained somewhere so people dont have to come to the forum for answers.

  • Add custom content before E-Mail signature. In outlook add-in c# développment

    Hello,
I have make an add-in 2013 for outlook project in C#. I upload on a server some file and put in the mail body the link to them. But i want to add this 'link part' before the E-mail Signature. How could I do that?
I have healready see code that enable me to get the signature file and read them. But i didn't know if it work on all the os and Outlook version. And the file is not copy past on the end of the body mail. So it didn't help me at all.
Ask me for more information if needed.
I thanks you for you're help.

    Aurelien,
When you create a signature in Outlook three files (HTM,
TXT and RTF) are created in the following folder:
    Vista and Windows 7/8:
    C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures
    Windows XP :
    C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures
"Application Data" and "AppData" are hidden folders, change the view in Windows explorer so it show hidden files and folders if you want to
    see the files.
So, you read the content of these files and try to find the corresponding content in the message body. Note, users may type a custom signature in the end of
    emails.

  • Unable to Display Signature Image in Siebel BI Report

    Hi,
I have been trying to display a signature in a report but when I run the report the place where the signature should be is empty. I have searched through the log file but there is no error indicating anything is wrong. Siebel has an out of the box report which I have been using as a reference, their .rtf has the following in it:
    *<?for-each:psfn:transform(.)?>*
+(an image is within this for each)+
    *<?end for-each?>*
    *<?namespace:psfn1=http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/com.siebel.xmlpublisher.reports.XSLFunctions?>*
    *<?namespace:psfn=http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/com.siebel.v_sia.shared.custom.Ls_recipt?>*
The field in the xml that contains the string of characters for the image is named, "ssSignature" what I do not understand is that I see no reference to this field in the rtf. So I do not know how the signature image could be displayed if it is not in the .rtf. Since this report is shipped out of the box with Siebel I would expect it is correct and therefore should work. Can anyone provide any suggestions on what may be wrong or how to display a signature image???
    Thanks,
    Fred

    Hey Fred,
Have you made any progress on this issue? We have the exact same issue and have an SR opened on Metalink. I must admit that the support has been lacking of late.
As I understand it the Signtaure string is encoded and at some point the OOTB rtf should be converting it to an image to be viewed in the report. I beleive that the function that should be doing this resides in either the InkToolsLib.jar or iSignBmp.jar so these must be part of your classpath environment variable.
Support says that the OOTB report works for them, but I have been trying a thousand different things to get this to work and our issue is still not resolved.
I'll keep you posted if by way of miracle a solution is found.

  • Assign signature image to imported digital signature

I have a user who needs to be able to digitally sign documents for the State while using either his desktop or his laptop.  We have the desktop Acrobat X configured properly, where when he digitally signs a document, the signature image is included in his digital certificate.  To set up the signing on the laptop, I imported the .pfx file into Acrobat X on the laptop under Tools -> Sign & Certify -> More Sign & Certify ->Security Settings -> Digital IDs->Add ID-> from a file, where I browsed to the .pfx file.  I added the signature image under Edit->Preferences->Security->New where I imported the .bmp signature image exactly as I did on the desktop.  However, when he digitally signs a .pdf on the laptop, it just has a generic image of his name, not the signature image.  Where am I failing?

When you sign, you should see where you can select the signature appearance name from a dropdown in the dialog.

  • Set background color or image in Outlook Today view

    Hello,
I just started using the Outlook Today view in Outlook Data File and find it much easier to digest rather than scrolling through tons of folders for the 5 email accounts I have in it.  However, the massive white background hurts my eyes, especially
    at night.
Is it possible to modify the the color of this or add a background image to it?  If changing it modifies other areas of Outlook feel free to add that as I'll try it out.
    I'm using Outlook 2010.
    Thanks!

    Hi Rvp711,
Follow the given path to change the background color of Microsoft Outlook 2010:
File >> Options >> Color Scheme (from the User Interface Options section)
But, by default Outlook provides only three color options for Outlook interface
    *Blue
    *Silver
    *Black

  • Sign Once (Signature Pad) & Copy Signature Image Many?

Does anyone know how to sign a document once with a signature pad (or with a signature image applied to a digital signature,we suppose) and then attempted to copy the signature image into other image objects in the form?  We’re assembling large sets of forms with multiple signature areas, and one common end page where the signature is captured by the signature pad.  The requirement is to fill-out all associated signatures so that the customer only has to sign once (yes, this has been approved by legal).
What we’ve tried to do is to bind and image field in the form to the same XML element where the signature image data is bound. The signature field, of course, is not bound to anything as there is no binding tab.  The problem is where do we find it (if it’s even exposed)?  We’ve written JS to dump the entire XFA data out of the form, but the signature info is just not there.
Any other ideas we may pursue?  If this helps, we're using a Topaz SignatureGem 1x5 signature pad (see attached link).  We’ll need to worry about invalidating the single digital signature if we can figure this out, but just trying to get through the first hurdle.  Not sure if it's possible, as well, to copy one signature to another in its entirety.
Thanks for anyone’s help in advance!

Additionally, it looks like someone opened a thread on doing this a while back, but it trailed-off (no answer):

  • Set the properties Editor of Add-in for Outlook 2007

    Hi All,
I've developed an add-in for outlook 2007, the setup doesn't give any errors but when I open the Outlook the add-in is disabled.
May be because is the only add-in with <any Author>.
How can I set this properties in visual studio 2010?
    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hello Thomas,
First of all, check out the Trust center settings in Outlook. Are macro security settings applied to add-ins as well? Are only signed add-in allowed to run?
Microsoft Office applications can disable add-ins that behave unexpectedly. If an application does not load your add-in, the application
might have hard disabled or soft disabled your add-in.
Hard disabling can occur when an add-in causes the application to close unexpectedly. It might also occur on your development computer
if you stop the debugger while the Startup event
handler in your add-in is executing.
Soft disabling can occur when an add-in produces an error that does not cause the application to unexpectedly close. For example, an application
might soft disable an add-in if it throws an unhandled exception while the Startup event
    handler is executing.
When you re-enable a soft-disabled add-in, the application immediately attempts to load the add-in. If the problem that initially caused
the application to soft disable the add-in has not been fixed, the application will soft disable the add-in again.
Read more about that in the How to: Re-enable an Add-in That
    Has Been Disabled article.
P.S. You need to sing the add-in files with a digital signature to see the author name in Outlook.

  • Validate for Outlook 2007 (Word 2007) on Mac

Hi, we are creating HTML email campaigns here that we want to be as compliant as possible across all email clients. I've learned a great deal about properly coding the HTML files so that they break down as gracefully as possible (inline styles only, tables, etc, etc). The files hold up pretty well across all major clients, including Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, Outlook 2003 or older, Mac Mail, etc.
    AND THEN THERE'S OUTLOOK 2007...
So Outlook 2007 pretty much destroys my 'almost' completely compliant HTML.
    - So I've seen there is a validator for Outlook 2007 and Dreamweaver, but it appears to be PC only. Are there any plugins or similar ways to quickly validate your HTML against Outlook 2007 (which uses the lovely Word 2007 engine) if on a Mac???
Thanks. We have Dreamweaver CS3 here on our Macs. We do have one token PC in the office, but it does not have Dreamweaver (or any Web editor) installed on it. So the Microsoft validator won't really help us here.
    - Any other sites or tips to figure out some of the major issues in coding for Outlook 2007???
THANKS. Microsoft once again is enduring itself to designers everywhere...

    Hi, thanks for the tips!
I ended up digging up an installation of Studio 8 that I was able to load onto our PC. So I was able to get the Word 2007 validator working, but it's really not very helpful here. It told me a couple things weren't valid, such as 'text-transform', which actually DO work. And then some things that are not working at all it doesn't mention (such as my side-column 'borders' that have fixed-width DIVs in them, but totally collapse)!!! Frustrating when I'm trying to figure out workarounds.
And I did check out the articles, thanks. The Email-Marketing reports basically spells out the problem in general terms, I think I need some more specific issues/workarounds. And the Microsoft article is helpful, just a bit hard to decipher (core, core extended, full).
I'll keep digging, or any other resources would be GREATLY appreciated.
And, in case anyone knows these tricks, I'll post my biggest issues as this emailer was supposed to go out this morning:
    - Background images totally gone, no workarounds??? This was a decent part of the design, but we'll include a background color on the table cell as a backup.
    - I was using DIVs with a 'width: 20px' to define the width of my side columns (inserted into the empty TDs), which are basically just empty white side margins. It looks like 'width' is not supported. How can I 'prop' these columns open best? I don't want to use spacer gifs, as these can sometimes be picked up as spam.
    - Any tips for getting the margins & padding around type more consistent? I have large type that breaks onto 3 lines, and is using a pretty large 'line-height'. It looks like this line-height is added to the top margin pushing the type way down. Looks fine in all other email clients.
    THANKS FOR ANY HELP!!!
PS - we do use MailChimp for some of our clients, and could get an account for ourselves. But I think the only way they would help us is if we used their templates. We're designing these pretty custom from scratch (though they are pretty basic).
