Similar Monitor available in multiple places

I have just a general question about monitors in SCOM. I was setting some overrides for monitoring CPU utilization and noticed that the same (or very similar) monitor was available in multiple locations. for Example, the "Total CPU Utilization Percentage"
monitor can be found in these three locations.
Windows Server 2008 Core Operating System
Windows Server 2008 Full Operating System
Windows Server 2008 Operating System
What location would be the proper place to set the override for the monitor? I assume that it is the last one, Windows Server 2008 Operating System, and that it would cover all installations of the 2008 OS. Just a little confused about what SCOM
does with the three different groups or if it is really just "Core Only", "Full GUI Only" and "All 2008".

Hi
by design scom class will inherit the monitor apply to the base class, you can override the monitor at any state of the monitor by selecting "all objects of class" in override option.
you can cross check the overrides by using override explorer

I can create an image from a virtual machine, but this image is only available to the location where the virtual machine was originally created (for example East US).
I want to create a single image that is available to multiple locations (East US, North Europe, Southeast Asia, etc...)
Is this possible? I've noticed that stock images are available to multiple locations, can user images be configured in the same way?

As far as I know, it is not supported currently. But you could use a compromise method. You could copy the Image into other regions storage account. Then you could create the VM using yourself Image. But you may be charged the outbound data. I recommend

Multiple place and fit content

I have several chapters of a book done in CS2. These were sent out and edited by a third-party in CS4 (communication issue there).
So they were backsaved as an .INX file and now I'm using CS3.
Problem is that the embedded images and links to 20 or so illustrations were not honoured and defaulted to "foo. jpeg" in the links pallette when I opened these in CS3.
The embedded images (excel graphs) I'm not worried about, it's the linked images which I now have to go in and manually relink.
The graphic frame and content boundary is intact so re-linking seems to work fine, but I'm wondering If i can select the art and multiple place each image within it's corresponding frame and have the attribute "fit content proportionately" assigned at the same time.
Do I use an object style?? I'm not too familiar with this, so if anyone can run me through the simple steps, it would be appreciated.
Also, I noticed in CS3 that the number of icons for fitting content are reduced on the toolbar (see image circled) compared with CS2?
Are the options to "fit content to frame, center content etc" only available from the drop-down menu or from the short-cuts?

Yip, those would be the icons I was looking for, but maybe they weren't visible depending on what i had selected, since I swear I looked for them..but there they are in my screenshot
I was thinking a basic object style with just fram-fitting option selected to "fit content prop.", but I guess you are right in that the time saved would probably be negligible.
Any idea as to why the links broke - just a consequence of back-saving??

How to use in enums in multiple places?

How does one use an enum set in multiple places in a vi?
I have resorted to just copying an existing one when I need the same set of enum values in a different spot, but doing it this way will be a big hassle if/when I want to add items to the enum, because I would have to locate every copy of the enum and update them idividually.
Is it possible?

It's not so much the "custom control" part as it is the typedef part. A typedef enforces the datatype for all its instances, including constants, so changing it will propogate through your entire code. To create it the easiest way is to create a front panel enum control and then right click it and select Advanced>>Customize. You can then change it into a typedef and save it under any name you want.
From this point on, you can simply use that typedef in your code.
To learn more about LabVIEW, I suggest you try searching this site and google for LabVIEW tutorials. Here, here, here, here and here are a few you can start with and here are some tutorial videos. You can also contact your local NI office and join one of their courses.
In addition, I suggest you read the LabVIEW style guide and the LabVIEW user manual (Help>>Search the LabVIEW Bookshelf).

Custom template available across multiple site collections

I have created a custom site template which I need to be available across multiple site collections. Is there a global area where I can put the .wsp file so that I can use it within any site collection.
I also have a custom document library which I need to be available from with the site made from the custom site template mentioned above - Is there a global area where I can put the .stp file so that I can use it within any site within any site collection.

This will really depend how the template has been packaged. If it's a content type, than editing this and making sure that the "update content type" radio is selected will do the trick. Can you ask someone who's made one to show you how they generate
the template. If it's within the New --> XXX Document, than you're in luck
If they're just deployed as normal files within a library, you'll have a much harder time.

Extending LOV that is used in multiple places

Hi,
I am planning to extend organization VO in iRecruitment (vacancy creation) to restrict the LOV based on organization type. This LOV is very common and is using in multiple places in he application.
I am new to this and i need to know that by extending such kind of LOV, will the affect appear on the whole application where this LOV is using or only at particular place ???

Calling a BPEL subprocess from multiple places

Say I want to define a subprocess inside my process. This subprocess would for (a trivial) example take unsigned parameter foo and return 2 * foo.
Can I define this kind of a subprocess in BPEL (1.1) and call it from multiple places inside my main process?
And can I model this using jDeveloper?

By (sub) process do you mean an autonomic separate process that I have deployed?
I was aiming for having a subprocess inside the main process, a bit like a function in an executable program. So that I would only deploy process A but the process A would have internal subprocess B which would be called from several places in the main process.
But now that I have researched this further it would seem that BPEL 1.1. does not support subprocesses at all. I found some talk about extentions such as BPEL-Subprocess but the core BPEL 1.1. does not support them, or am I mistaken?

i like to add this component in multiple place.
And i want to see the component visible in multiple place at same time.

A component can only be displayed at one place at a time (it has one location and one parent property etc.)
But you can display the same information holded by a single object to several components. For this case some components define a model. JLabel hasn't a model though. If you want to display more than just a text or an icon (eg. both) I suggest you subclass JLabel and define your own model.

Resource Group state monitor- Available storage is in critical state

Hello,
I am monitoring a cluster of 2 nodes with SCOM 2012.
One of the nodes in that cluster is currently shutdown.
I can see that the server and all its cluster resources are in gray state - and that is OK
But, Why do i see that the Resource Group state monitor- Available storage in a critical state on the working active node?

What errors or alerts did you get? Please post out here to get further analysis. In addition, please also go to the cluster node and open the event viewer to check more details.

You have Sophos installed, which is certainly capable of causing panics. However, the panic logged above happened in safe mode, and wasn't caused by any third-party software. That type of panic is usually caused by a memory fault.
If your model has user-replaceable memory, and you've upgraded the memory modules, reinstall the original memory and see whether there's any improvement. Be careful not to touch the gold contacts. Clean them with a mild solvent such as rubbing alcohol. Aftermarket memory must exactly match the technical specifications for the model.
Apple Diagnostics or the Apple Hardware Test, though generally unreliable, will sometimes detect a fault. A negative test can't be depended on. Run the extended version of the test, if applicable.

Signature Appearances Available to Multiple IDs?

My wife and I both need to digitally sign a bank document. The document requires us to both place full signatures and initial several locations. Since I received the document in electronic format, I would prefer to electronically sign the documents.
I'm using Acrobat 9 Pro on Window XP 32-bit (my work computer), and I've never used digital signatures before, so I began by creating an ID for myself. I used the following steps:
I created my ID with my contact information (name, email address, etc).
I applied a strong password to the signature.
I created an appearance that contained today's date and a JPEG of my signature.
I created another appearance that contained just my initials.
I created a final appearance that contained just my name.
I saved the key to a PFX file.
I then began the same steps to create an ID for my wife (on the same Windows account and without closing Acrobat). I thought that when I created a new ID that Acrobat would create an ID without appearances. Instead, all the appearances I created for my ID were available for my wife's ID, too. Thus, I was able to place a signature using my wife's ID but the image was of my signature.
Did I miss something? Are appearances stored with the ID, and if so, how does Acrobat separate them amongst IDs? I looked through Acrobat's help, but the only site I found was one talking about creating appearances, and it didn't talk about working with multiple IDs.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Matthew,
Acrobat (and when I say Acrobat I really mean both Acrobat and Reader) saves the appearances and digital ID files in the user's space as allocated by the operating system. If you have no log on when you start the computer (that is, it just boots up and you end up on the Desktop) then there is probably only one user that was created when you first set up the computer. If you have a log in screen where you select a user name and type in a password then there are probably accounts for both you and your wife. Whomever you are logged in as, that's where the files are going to be stored. More specifically, I'm referring to C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Adobe\Acrobat\9.0\Security where <user name> will depend on the log in name.
