I have Windows XP, ID 3.0.1. When I either double-click an INDD file or try to open it via Start>Documents, I get a dialog box: InDesign_US_R - InstallShield Wizard, Location to save file, etc. What do I do with that? These files open normally if I open them through ID.

It sounds like your file association in Explorer has been damaged.
What does Windows say the current association is?

I would have been happier with the final if FC did what its supposed to do...WORK!

So I can say I finally got my site up and running….JUST. It was created in Flash Catalyst CS5 and I have to say the program made it pretty easy to build until the file started to push 15MB. NOTHING close to the 40MB FC seems to have issues with. At the end of the build I was getting extremely frustrated with the program continuously shutting down claiming it was out of memory. I spent two hrs this morning trying to add the final touches. This would have taken 15 minutes max if the program was running correcly. Its not a weakness in my computer either, this machine is more than capable of creating this site.
The site is www.christianmichaelphotography.com. For now its going to have to stay the way it is as the last time I tried to work on the file I got an error message saying “This FXP project is invalid and cannot be opened”
Luckily I had saved a version to upload to the web so rolled with it. Its not finished and some links don’t work but If FC doesn’t run…for now the site has to stay as it is. A very bitter sweet moment for me. Adobe….you really need to sort this memory issue out.

When going to open a file or select a song to play in iTunes or opening links I used to be able to double click on my track pad to open files or links, now I have to tap once with two fingers to open the "right click" option on a normal mouse pad to be able to select it. I'm sorry to hear you are having this issue with your MacBook Pro. If you are having issues opening things by double clicking on them, you may want to double check to make sure the double click speed hasn't accidentally been set too high, as noted in the following article:

Cannot Drag & Drop in the dock or double click to open files anymore

Since installing OS X 10.4.3 then .4 I can only open files through the appropiate
application using OPEN under FILE in that application. Drag & drop into the dock app only gives a momentary flash and a double click on the file/document does nothing. Any ideas? It worked fine in 10.3

I have a similar issue, but my case is pretty odd (it is to me, anyway). I am in a largely Windows-based company, but work in a small Mac-based department. We recently relocated into new offices, and the new environment is run on a Windows 2003 server (our old offices were on a Windows 2000 server).
My issue is that when I try to double-click an icon, drag an icon to the Dock, or open with keyboard shortcuts, the application launches, but no file opens. The only way I can open a file is via File>Open through the application.
My computer is a PowerMac G5 running OS X 10.4.4 -- oddly, our 10.3.x users do not have this issue. And I never had any problems on the W2K server. So I'm sure there's something with the new 2003 server and 10.4, but I've searched through the threads and didn't see anything exactly like my issue.
Any thoughts? Are there server settings that may have been missed by our IT department? Or is there something I need to set on my Mac? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for some examples of data breaches that specifically would have been prevented if the Windows workstations or laptops were up to date with patches (Windows Update, Java, Adobe etc.). An example where, if the affected Windows PCs had been
patched with the most current Windows and application security updates and a/v definitions available on the date of the exploit, the breach would have been prevented.
I can't find any recent examples in news stories I can find on the web.
Does anyone have links to any examples that are from the last 5 years or newer?

According to the explanation, this security update resolves a privately reported vulnerability in the Microsoft Secure Channel (Schannel) security package in Windows. The vulnerability could allow remote code execution if an attacker sends specially crafted

Most critical Windows Update for vulnerability has its own explanation in a Microsoft Security Bulletin, just as the example I provided.
But if you want a specific example, I’m afraid that it will be a little difficult to find one since we don’t have a direction.

I'm in Classic scenario which means that the PO and other relevant documents are stored in ECC. A programmer here helped me to obtain the information that I was looking for by querying the PO header and PO items tables (EKKO, EKPO) for those orders where the requestor and the bought on behalf of persons where different (ERNAM, AFNAM):

3). when i log into the 2 icloud accounts i have with icloud(.com) nothing is showing up in there also......
whats is going on..... this is a huge mess for me. i want to go back the way is was like 1-2 years ago. when you can just sync things from the computer to the phone and not have to go through icloud....... ive been struggling with icloud but today just me hate it to the max.

As I said, I don't use Time Machine, so it'd be best to wait for an "expert" answer, but, with my very limited knowledge, I'd say: probably not - so, for now, I'd suggest you read up on Time Machine:

I have checked that the firmware has been updated to 7.6.4 . Similalrly the Win8.1 machine has been loaded with the update specified in another discussion.

Firstly how are you connecting to the TC.. wireless or ethernet?
Please open a command window and ping it.. ping by name and by IP address.
If ping succeeds at least by IP it should work.
In windows explorer type
\\10.0.1.1 (or whatever the TC ip is.. that is the default).
Having the airport utility for windows loaded can help the process. As it loads bonjour for windows.
7.6.4 firmware on the TC is useless. It works better on 7.6.1
If the ping does not succeed by either name or IP address yet you have internet through the TC, then your network is setup wrongly. You are have firewalls blocking local IP. Take down all the firewalls.

This message appears when an update has been sent for his approval and is pending. It could happen while opening the project plan, or when clicking on something like "retreive tasks updates" from the backstage menu of MS Project Pro.
The PM should go to his approval center and check for any approval pending.

I have the same problem with new 11.0. Presentation of album data now seems scrambled in 'Album' screen. Instead of albums in alphabetical order with all album tracks I now get albums in the order of the Album Artist. Unless the album artist is EXACTLY the same, the tracks on any one album can be spread all over the screen (hopeless for compilations). Does anbody know how to get the Album screen to sort solely on the Album title?
