Since I updated the Adobe flash player I have had no sound when using firefox
Yesterday Adobe told me I needed to update my flash player, so I did and now today I have no sound at all. Itunes still works and so does the sound in Internet Explorer, but whenever I go on youtube, pandora, etc (in firefox) I can't hear anything. Troubleshooting says to go to the volume mixer and make sure the firefox volume is all the way up. I went to the mixer, couldn't find the volume for firefox, though I did make sure everything else was turned up and it still doesn't work.

I was prompted by Firefox to update my adobe flash player on 12/23/11, which I did. Ever since then the web site has frozen and/or crashed. I run a internet business and can't have this continue. I uninstalled the flash player and the problems have stopped. I would like to reinstall the earlier version of adobe, since that didn't seem to impact the web site.

Since updating to the latest version of Firefox the Adobe Flash player pop up continually pops up whether the page needs flash player or not. It even shows for a text page.
It is very annoyingYou can set the default in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" and change that for the Shockwave Flash plugin to "Always Activate".
You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
*Click the "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
*Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
*Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

If you already have an older version of Flash Player, open the Preference pane and select Check Now... under the Update portion under the General tab:
You shouldn't have to install a new version from the website (I'm not even sure if you can) if you've already installed Flash Player.

After I downloaded Firefox, I attempted to update the top four plugins, I already have adobe flash player, but I went on ahead and downloaded it again with the other three, java and two others. I then restarted my computer, and when I logged back on to face book Farmville would not load a message said if it don't load in ten seconds I would need to update the adobe flasher which is in my add and delete box. The same with Cafe world, it will not load as well! My google search is missing as well! I have no problems logging on to Face book, but I can't go to any of the applications that I normally play with now! I did updated the top four plugins as was suggested and now I'm having problems!

My internet is Internet Satelite 1.5 MB. speed. Everything else with the Flash Player seems to work fine except the wheel. But the mouse wheel works fine everywhere else.
So what Flash Player version do you have currently installed?

In Firefox, every time the Adobe Flash Player Update box shows up, I click on it, it scrolls right as it downloads, then I am asked to read the license, which take me to a page of a thousand license agreements. I choose the Flash Player 11 license, it opens in Arabic, and even if I was able to read the license agreement there is NOWHERE on the read license agreement page to then start the update. How can I possibly achieve the update when Adobe does not follow standard practices and make it as easy as all other companies. Is the update just a scam to get me to pay Adobe the $29 to $39 fee so that they can tell me how to do the update that they on purpose made it impossible to do without paying them a fee to tell me how? I have not been able to do the update for over 3 years since I bought my new Apple iMac. Do I really need the update? Obviously I have done without it for 3 years!Note that FlashPlayer works with both Internet Explorer and other browsers such as Firefox, the plugins required though are different. Since updating my adobe flash player I am having trouble with gmail, google, hotmail, etc.
Since updating my adobe flash player a couple of days ago some of my web pates are acting strangely. One that is not a big deal, but is strange is that my the google logo is missing from the main google search page. Another is that I cannot login to hotmail at all. I just get a blank screen. When I check my gmail account I can only use the basic html page. When I go to the adobe flash test page it says that everything is working fine. I have the latest firefox. Is there a web page where I can go to check my current firefox to make sure it's working?

Exactly! The password I used to log on here and write my post I figured was the same Apple ID password I would use to reset my computer login password. But my computer isn't recognizing it as the correct password so it wont let me update my login password. I have 2 user accounts on my computer.
As far as the link you provided, I already looked to that for help earlier. It states:

I did these steps, but I don't remember my admin password. The question is: How do I reset my admin password so I can reset my log in password.
Is my admin password the same password I use to log onto this website to post questions? If so, like I said previously, I already reset that password and my computer isnt recognizing it. -

How to Disable the Adobe Flash Player and Reader Updates
Ok, For the last two months or so, I have been plagued by the Adobe Flash Player and Reader updater that will not go away. That's not the worst thing though: Somehow, someway, the Adobe updater subverts my entire windows 7 machine and makes itself the most important program on my system, stopping all other necessary functions. After I just turn it on, the updater will suspend all Windows operations in favor of the updater getting its message out the Adobe "needs" updating. I have tried updating the stupid thing, only to find that after the update goes in, my whole computer locks up and I have to load a system restore point. This thing acts like a virus, and until someone comes up with a way to make it work properly, that's what I'm calling: Adobe creates and sells a computer killing virus. I want a sure fire way to disable the updater that will work, and that will never bug me again about updating the virus. After going through three different computer repair companies, many online forums and chat rooms and my own knowledge of how to disable programs, I have instructed my firewall to block all attempts by Adobe to update. This has to stop.

I have Firefox 3.6.10.
When I checked for plug-ins updates, it opened the "plug-in check" page and showed the Shockwave Flash 10.1 r82 as "vulnerable", explaining a potential security vulnerability and suggesting to update to latest version if existent, or if not,disable the plugin.
The Adobe security advisory suggests to upgrade to the newest version Adobe Flash Player 10.1.85.3.
When I click on it, it says Adobe Flash Player 10.1 only. It also says: "You may have to temporarily disable your antivirus software". Is this safe? Also: how do I know that the 10 . 1 version is the same as the 10.1.85.3 version?The [http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ Adobe Flash Player] page refers to 10.1, but the full version details for the latest release is 10.1 r85 which is a security update. You should not have to disable the Anti-virus software in order to install Flash, only do that if is is interfering with the installation. -
Failure to install the update for Adobe Flash Player "A required file (:3) could not be installed."
I've bee trying to install the update for Adobe Flash Player for some time and keep getting install failed....."A required file (:3) could not be installed." Of course I'm going to the suggested installation problems website but nothing there seems to address this specfic failure mode. Can anybody help?
