Hello, I'v been using Adobe creative suite for a real long time and this week end I upgraded to CC. Most of the applications have been installed. Unfortunately I'm not able to install Photoshop and After Effect. Here is the problem:

Anyone has a solution for me?I have recently started having this problem in PSE8. The Adobe workaround
did work, but I don't fancy having to re register each time I use it.
What I have discovered is that it's nothing to do with the image metadata as it occurs before any image is opened.
It SEEMS to only occur if you use file/open with to open an image in the editor - IE start PSE with that command.
If you close elements down, and start it using programs/PSE/Elements (or your desktop shortcut) - the panorama feature magically works.
Each time I've opened the editor 'automatically' using image/open with, it seems to create the problem.

Problems with Time Capsule after upgrade to 10.7.5 & firmware on Time Capsule
I got a software update to 10.7.5. There was also a firmware update to Time capsule. It won't work now. I get the error message of (-1). They tell me it's a Western Digital software driver. I never had a western digital drive, but must have migrated the driver from an older computer. I did have an Iomega drive on that computer, but no Western Digital.
Support has not been able to help me. Any suggestions?I've worked on this over the weekend with Apple Support. I'm now on my fourth advisor, who is a tier 3 resource. Over the weekend I've downloaded the patch, erased the Time Capsule, reset it to factory settings, plugged it into ethernet, renamed the Time Capsule, the airport network & my computer and still don't have a functioning Time Capsule after a very 'Microsoft' weekend of waiting for several backups to bomb.
The only reason I'm on Lion is that I was a MobileMe customer and wanted to keep my email address. I'm now thinking of getting a personal domain email, i.e. [email protected], dumping iCloud which really doesn't have any value to me, and in fact has less functionality that I need than MobileMe had, and reloading Snow Leopard.
That, or I can stop trying to fix Time Capsule, use third-party local drives until Apple gets around to fixing Lion.
Another 'feature' I've also discovered is that I can no longer take a Pages document and send a Mail message converting the document to PDF reliably. It now works some of the time.
I've been one of 'the faithful' who's had Apple products since 1987 and loved them. I stuck with Apple through the 'Soda Jerk' years and that european dude. I'm hoping that Lion is some weird product anomaly and that Apple will improve it's product quality to where it used to be. Also, not force people into product upgrades by not restricting features on new releases like Mountain Lion to machines less than 3 years old. There really will not be any place else to go unless Google gets into hardware. -
Pretty much I am baffled, have OS X 10.6.8 and iMac 10.1 and internet running, plenty of available space, and 4gb ram but I cannot download Mountain lion successfully, everytime I go to download it the download stops at 142 mb, then spaz's out says its going to take 6, 8, 100, 1000 days to download then in red writing "an error has occured" shows up next to my download and I cant resume or anything.
Help me out as this is a problem on not 1 but all 4 of the iMacs at my work and I have been charged with getting them up to date for Logic X... Help an intern out haha

If they are connected to the same router, connect them to another network. Sometimes, some networks don't allow this type of downloads and they just stopped suddenly -
Problem with Time Capsule after upgrading to firmware 7.6.1
I am currently using Time Capsule Firmware 7.6 and just upgraded to 7.6.1. After the upgrade, my IPad 2 cannot access iTune, App Store and Safari cannot access any web-site. Email and other Apps which require Internet access have no problem with connection. My other Apple devices like iPhone and Mac Pro have no problem with Internet access and can access App Store, and Safari can access web site as normal.
I tried to downgrade the Firmware back to 7.6. After the downgrade, iPad 2 can now access iTune and App Store. However, Internet access via Ipad 2 is very slow, at only 1M download and 0.2M upload Internet speed. The same issue occur with my other iPad 1 too. When I check Internet speed on iPhone 4 and Mac Pro, the result is normal, at 25M download internet speed.
Please let me know how I can resolve this problem.I just read other discussion treads on Time Capsule Firmware upgrade to 7.6.1. It seems the whole community is having the same issue ie slow Internet connection speed and even some users are reporting unstable connection. If Apple is reading these treads, Apple should do something to either stop allowing the Firmware upgrade to 7.6.1 or rectify the issue with another Firmware upgrade without this problem.
If Apple has read and is not taking any action, then, we all should question what exactly is the management hired for? -
I have updated my firefox with 4.0. and since that I have problems. Namely, when I open some site firefox blocks it so I have to restart my computer. I don't have those problems with Explorer. Could U help me with this, because untill now I was very satisfied with firefox and would like to use it in the future.

Ljiljana StevkovicDue to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Firefox 3.6.18 would be the safer choice.
Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: I haven't actually tried this myself! -

More problems with time capsule on lion
i have one problem:
time machine icon on the desktop is still there after time machine finishes backups (this happens over 50% of the times a backup is made, so it happens several times for day...)...
Also, lots of complains about time capsule takes 20 times longer for backups than on Snow Leopard....
Please fix this apple, i am backing up things all day now, and that icon stays there most of the times... (have to manually eject).Scipio7 wrote:

Mountain lion sleep problems with time capsule

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Enter the word "Starting" (without the quotes) in the String Matching text field. You should now see log messages with the words "Starting * backup," where * represents any of the words "automatic," "manual," or "standard." Note the timestamp of the last such message. Clear the text field and scroll back in the log to that time. Select the messages timestamped from then until the end of the backup, or the end of the log if that's not clear. Copy them (command-C) to the Clipboard. Paste (command-V) into a reply to this message.
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don't post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.

Ever since I upgraded my computer to Mountain Lion, iTunes has crashed every time I try to open it.
Ever since I upgraded my computer to Mountain Lion, (I use a 20-inch, early 2008 iMac.) I haven't been able to use iTunes at all. Whenever I try to open the application, it immediately crashes and shuts down. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
I hope these steps help.
1) Make a new user - the steps are in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1199
2) Log into that user, open iTunes, agree, etc. - it will probably work
3) If it does, it tells us that iTunes (the program) is fine but it's encountering something unexpected
4) Go back to your user, and try to open iTunes while holding option and making a new library - like suggested in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1589
5) Your iTunes will be empty. This is ok. Your files are not touched by this process.
6) If iTunes doesn't quit when loading an empty library, you could try rebuilding the iTunes Library as Apple documents in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451
7) If iTunes does quit, it could be trying to grab something - like photo information to sync to your iPad - and that's where it finds the unexpected data. Maybe try moving the iPod Photo Cache? http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1324 should guide you for how to do that.
If you tell us whether it is library-specific, user-specific, or system-wide (happens in both users), we could maybe give you better advice on what's going on.'
If the new user has the same behavior, maybe remove the SC Info folder - there are not many system-wide files iTunes touches. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1389 covers how to remove that invisible folder.
iTunes uses /Applications/iTunes.app, /Users/Shared/SC Info, ~/Music/iTunes/ and ~/Library/Preferences/ and a bunch of other files. I think the most effective way to help you is knowing whether the issue is system-wide or user-specific.

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, I cannot restore emails with time machine. In Lion TM created a folder in Mail called recovered emails(or similar) No such folder is created since ML. I am able to see the email I want to restore, but it then disappears
I am inside Mail, waiting for the TM 'recovered mail' folder to appear - which it doen't.
I only looked in my home folder after trying several times from within my Main app.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at the top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair. Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
