Since installing OS X 10.7.5 and iPhoto 9.4, I can no longer export photos from iPhoto. I get a message that "iPhoto quit unexpectedly while using the HPPhotoExport plugin."

Trash the HPPHoto Export Plugin
/Library/Application Support/iPhoto/*/HPPhotoExport
Remember you have two Libraries:
HD/Library and
HD/Users/Your Name/ Library
On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library
It may be in either.

Whe I use the Alt key with the clone tool, I get a message that I have to use the Alt key to define the area to be copied. What am I doing wrong?

I tried to check the alined box, but it would not work. I was able to check
the Sample box, but they they give you about 5 choices to check and I have
no idea what they are all about. I appreciate your help.

By rebuilding your library.
Back up your iPhoto library before you do that.
If iPhoto is open, quit it.
Hold down the Option and Command keys while you open iPhoto (click the iPhoto icon in the Dock).
The Photo Library First Aid window opens.
Click "Rebuild database" and click the "rebuild" button.

After 4 calls to apple and 8 and a half hours on the phone. The apple people does not how to solve the problem. The last thing they told me is that they will send the problem to their engineers and I will hear from them. unfortunately they have not contact me.
During the phone calls I tried putting the date and time in automatic, changing the username and password, I even tried using somebody elses username and password. Please help, facetime is my tool to telecomute, and it is hurting my job.

I used to send photos from my Lumix Tz-40 camera directly to my iPad using the camera's WIFI. It was all working well until I installed IOS7. The connection no longer works. The camera still keeps the iPad in its connection history. The camera's wifi network still appears when I select a WiFi network from the iPad but the Wifi status icon never appears on the iPad. So the connection is never made.

You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.

I have been converting my vinyl records, tapes and cd's to MP3 files in iTunes for about a year now, and have well over 1000 man-hours invested in this effort. I tried restoring the last version of iTunes, but it will no longer read my library, as, apparently, the new version modified the library file(s) in some way. I want to reenable this export-import function to finish my archival. What is necessary ???

Apparently, security programs like Macafee and Norton view Itunes updates as new programs and block then from access. If you add Itunes to the list of exemptions, it solves the problem.

There are apps such as Simple Transfer which allow you to transfer photos to/from your iPad and your computer via your wifi network - they will copy into the Camera Roll album in the Photos app on your iPad

Any suggestions? Oh, and this only happens if Firefox is NOT already active. If I have another Firefox window open when I click on the Icon, it just opens as expected. Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

I have tried everything I could to fix this, but some things require actually being on Firefox, and since I cannot get on, I cannot click on the tabs to do it. I have even totally uninstalled firefox, and that has not fixed this. I still get the same message that firefox is running and I need to close it or restart (which I have also tried dozens of times). I have removed things like Java, and that has not helped either. If I cannot even get on line in firefox, how can I fix this. I am not crazy about using internet explorer, but right now, it is my only option. I even tried to start in safe mode, and the same message box pops up!

Unless your bank's website is insecure, you're fine. Go up to the Safari "Search" bar and type in Rapport. You'll be amazed. It may "work" on PCs, but definitely not Macs. And it's not needed for Macs.
