If you have any podcasts in your iTunes library you should see a Podcasts sync setting tab to the right when you connect your phone and click on its name on the left sidebar (see image below). On this tab check to sync podcasts and sync your phone.

NO. There is no way to downgrade your iPhone OS back to iOS6. Apple makes downgrades of their mobile OS not possible.
If you can, the only thing you can do is upgrade your Mac's OS X operating system.

What does "online documentation" mean exactly? Are you using the Notes app to try to create notes in iCloud, for example?
If so, that should still work in iOS 7.1.
If not, please tell us specific symptoms of what is (or is not) happening.

Try to restore your iphone via iTunes or update to ios6.1.2.
If itunes gives an error with restoring (DFU/Recovery or just normal)
try this:
open your computer and search on windows; C://windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts
open up the hosts file in note pad you will see IP adresses and more add another line and put in this:
#74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
this is a by-pass to the cydia/saurik restore server, it has nothing to do with jailbreaking over voiding apple's warranty

Video podcasts suddenly regarded as music in iTunes: how can I fix this?

OK I've looked around for some time now, but the answer does not seem to be out there.
After a recent iTunes upgrade, all my video podcasts were treated by iTunes as music podcasts.
What I mean by that:
- TV icon is missing next to the file in iTunes
- Right click says "mark as played" instead of "mark as watched"
- Available Media Kinds are "Music, Podcast, iTunes U, Audiobook & Voice Memo" instead of "Music Video, TV Programe, Film, Podcast & iTunes U"
- "Part of gapless album" ticking box is not greyed
- Those files are absent from the "Video Playlists" on my iPod classic
However, video podcasts downloaded after the upgrade behave normally! See image below: first video podcast is fine, the others are not.
This is puzzling me because the old files all have "MPEG-4 video file" as "Kind" and "Podcast" as "Media Kind", just like the new ones.
Anyone knows what's wrong here? and how to fix it?

I did the update and now my curser seems to leave my typing field and makes a beeping sound. I then have to place my curser back to type some more. I can no longer work in my excel spreadsheet because of this. Is there a fix that I can install? Please help! I also have to double click everything

If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

I have an iphone 4, and when I go to drag stuff to sync it to the phone it will only sync certain albums or songs, and not others. Mind you, these bands it will not sync now I have had on the phone in the past so I do not understand whats going on, I've tried redownloading Itunes, and factory setting my phone and none of which have seemed to work if someone can help that would be awesome!

i had the same problem and just figured it out.
plug in your iPhone and click on your phone under Devices in iTunes.
then, at the top, where it says "Summary, Info, Apps, Music, Movies, TV Shows, Photos" click Music
make sure the "Sync Music" box is checked along with "Entire music libary" and apply the changes.
mine wasnt checked and it only had 37 songs in my phone out of 927 that were on my iTunes.

I did the update to 10.8.4, and immediately afterwards, I had no WIFI. Under system preferrences, it says that wifi is not turned on. If i attempt to turn it on via the task bar icon, it attempts to load networks, but can't find any. If I go to system preferrences, clicking the icon does nothing- it won't turn on. Hi there, to authorize a computer, you open up itunes, and at the very very top lefthand corner, there will be a little window. Click on that, and it will present you with a list of options. From there, you go to the third option down, which says "Itunes Store," hover over it with your mouse, and it will give you another set of options. From there, you can see the two options, "Authorize" an "Deauthorize computer. Just click on "Authorize," enter in your apple ID and password, and your computer will be authorized!
