Site Studio Contributor not opening in firefox

I am trying to open site studio contributor form in firefox and its not opening.
As soon as I clicked Shift+Ctrl+F5, on webpage, it asks me for login credentials, after sucessull login, i am not getting any option (icon) to edit region defination etc
Before entering into site studio contributor entries are like:
var _U = "undefined";
var g_HttpRelativeWebRoot = "/idc/";
var SSContributor = false;
var SSForceContributor = false;
var SSHideContributorUI = false;
After going into contributor entries are like:
var _U = "undefined";
var g_HttpRelativeWebRoot = "/idc/";
var SSContributor = true;
var SSForceContributor = false;
var SSHideContributorUI = false;
I am using site studio designer (Version 10gR4 10.1.4.5.0 and component version 7.7.0.1 Build 9.0.0.470).
Please provide if you have any solution or information to fix the issue, I have tried the using different systems/machines having firefox, but facing the same problem

This seems to be covered by the support note 1465975.1 (Unable to Enter into Site Studio Contribution Mode After Upgrading to Firefox 13)
The solution from the note:
If on an 10g system upgrade to Site Studio 10gR4 build 9.0.0.793 or greater.
If on an 11g system upgrade to Site Studio 11g build 11.0.0.786 or greater. For example the 11g MLR 11 for a .6 system has this fix and the 11g MLR 18 for a .5 system has this fix.
If the version is not available with the current patchset on the 10g Content Server please open a new Service Request with Oracle Support and reference this Note ID and the build will be provided.
(there are few more notes with similar issues, in case this remedy won't help, but it'll do no harm to start with it either way)

  • There are sites that will not open in Firefox that will open in Chrome...what is the problem?

    In Firefox I cannot get into my webpage of my website company. After speaking with several techs on told me to download Chrome and try it through that browser. He said Firefox runs slow and pages can time out.
    He was right with Chrome I have no problems at all accessing my website builder to make updates and changes...what's up with Firefox?

    If BlueHost uses cPanel for it web hosting control panel the problem isn't brand new, we have seen reports of problems with cPanel since like Firefox 13. or 14.0 was released. You may want to do a search of this forum for '''cPanel''' and see if anyone came up with a fix or a patch.

  • Styling items in Site Studio Contributor

    Hello,
    Similar to the way that contributors can style text by assigning predefined CSS classes through the style drop-down menu in a Site Studio Contributor form, I would also like to give them the ability to style ordered lists and tables (border-type, mainly). Is this possible? I have tried specifying these styles to be added in the style drop-down menu with no luck, as it seems to ignore any non text-based styles with some exceptions. If accomplishing this is not possible, is there a way to pre-format these lists/tables and give contributors options to pick from? Using WYSIWYG elements is not an acceptable solution for me because most of my contributors do not know anything about HTML and CSS. I come from an Interwoven system that has many features available for administrators to set (which CSS classes are available, context-sensitivity of classes, etc.). I am wondering if there is something similar in UCM.
    If I am unclear, please let me know and I will elaborate.
    Thank you for your time.

  • Images loaded fine in the previous version of firefox, but now do not open in firefox 5. It is our business' website. it opens and looks fine in explorer and other browsers.

    Images (actually graphics) loaded fine in the previous version of firefox, but now do not open in firefox 5. It is our business' website. it opens and looks fine in explorer and other browsers. However, please goto www.trinitystone.biz (using Firefox 5)and look at how the top menu bar has a black box surrounding it and the bottom menu also has this black bar. It is not supposed to be there, if you view the site from IE, you will see what it is supposed to look like. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

  • Skype chat links are not opening in firefox on Mac

    Hello,
    I have Mac book pro running OS 10.6.8 "Snow Leopard", skype 6.15 (335), and my default browser is Firefox version 32.0.3.
    Recently I experience a problem when someone send me a link it dose not open in Firefox, actually it switch to Firefox when I click on the link on Skype chat but no new tab is opening. I have to right click the link and then choose "Open URL" to get the link.
    If you have any suggestions please help.
    Thank You

    I had a similar problem on a website when a particular page was writing on the screen. This particular page later discovered contained a code that disabled anything from being clicked on or selected etc. It was as though there was an invisible windows in front (literally there was). I removed the code and everything went back to normal.
    Nothing wrong with Firfefox, Windows or Ubuntu. Incidentally, windows Internet Explorer v8 didn't have a problem since it was not up to date to handle the new CSS code. :)
    Here's the code that prevented anything on the page from being clicked:
    <div id="FirebombOverlay" style="display: block; position: fixed; left: 0pt; top: 0pt; width: 100%; height: 100%; margin: 0pt; padding: 0pt; outline: medium none; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent; z-index: 999999;"></div>
    Most likely it got injected there without the user being aware of it. This was injected back in march 2012 so since then the browsers did not pick it up and just plainly ignored the code until new browser updates got installed to handle the css code.
    I have no idea how it got there but my best guess would be a silent plugin of which I have no idea which one.
    The above code is some form of style sheet code that puts a layer in front of the page. It would be put into good use in stopping people from selected the page contents or to do damage to there site. You can perhaps put it over images from stopping people downloading using browser right click save image command.
    I hope this would help those who are having the problem.

  • Uploading New iamges - Site Studio Contributor

    Currently I am working on developing a site with Site Studio. I have created all the necessary components for user contribution but I have a majro stumbleblock for adding new images. Currently, both the WYSIWYG element and the Image element in Site Studio only allow contributors to select images that are already on the content server. If not on the content server, the users have to check in new content to be able to select it. I want the users to be able to select images directly from their local machine and upload them to the site through site studio and not having to go through ucm, the same way you can upload files by choosing local content and then check it in through site studio. Am I missing something here or it cannot be done this way?
    any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    I guess, image needs to be in the Content Server. You can try desktop integration suite or webdav so that user can easily checkin the digital assets to the content server.

  • Ince updating my firefox browser whenever i click on an internet link in an email it does not open on firefox although my mac switches to the firefox window as this is my default browser- what to do? Previously this has always worked without a hitch...

    ince updating my firefox browser whenever i click on an internet link in an email it does not open on firefox athough my mac switches to the firefox window as i have this set to be my default browser- what should i do?

    I have the same problem, and I also wondered if Google toolbar has anything to do with it. There GMAIL was set as the default mail application at first. I have removed that setting, but Firefox 4.0.1 continues to use GMAIL instead of Outlook which is my selection for mailto handling.

  • I recently upgraded my Mac to OS 10.6.5. Now the links in my incoming emails will not open in Firefox, but they will in Safari. What do I do?

    there is nothing more to add.... links from a wide variety of sources simply do not open up firefox and open the website like they used to. I can copy the links and paste them into firefox and they will open.

    this answer does not help at all. It tells me how to change my mail client for outgoing mail. I use iCal from mac, which is the default mail program, and it works well for me. The problem is with INCOMING mail that contains clickable links that will not open the page in firefox. When I click them nothing happens. iCal and Firefox used to play together just fine; now firefox doesn't answer when I click a link sent to me and received in my iCal.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Links in Mac Mail will not open in Firefox. This recently became an issue.

    When I select a hyperlink in Mac Mail the courser changes shape but will not open in Firefox, my default browser. I have used Mail with Firefox for a couple of years & it worked fine, until now. I can change the default to Safari & it works fine with Safari.
    Also periodically Firefox hangs up & I have to force close it. That started to happen only recently too.

    The operating system has to have information about what the default browser is in order to open a link in a browser.

    Dear krishna,
    even if your thread is closed:
    If you get this error in firefox you just have to install java plugin.
    Please find documentation [here|http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using%20the%20Java%20plugin%20with%20Firefox].

  • Links from emails do not open in Firefox

    Recently when I click on a link (usually from an email), it will not open in Firefox. Although I am taken to Firefox, the new link doesn't open, instead I just see the windows that were already open. This was working before. I reinstalled Firefox which seemed to fix the problem for a week or so, but now it's not working again.
    I checked and Firefox is set as the default browser, and there are no security problems in the error report. I am running version 3.6.12 on a MacBook Pro using Snow Leopard

    some say its to do with uninstalling chrome which i have just done.. there is no simple fix to it... well depends how computer literate you are i suppose... some suggest reinstalling chrome in order to resolve it.. i am not sure that i wouldnt make matters worse if i tried to fix it. see:

  • Site search will not work in Firefox but works with Chrome

    I run three websites. One is personal (www.rossolson.org) and two are for non-profit organizations (www.outpostministries.org and www.tccsa.tc). All have site search through Google, my own site is paid to be ad-free, the non profits are free and without adds because of their non profit status. For a while now, site search does not work with Firefox for the non profit sites but does for the paid site. Chrome and IE work fine. Is there a solution? Some setting to activate? Is this Google's doing?

    I am able to type a search word in but on clicking it, nothing changes. No results. the word just stays there.
    I also downloaded the https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/live-http-headers/ -- at first I wondered if it was not letting me install. So I allowed it in exceptions. But I'm not clear on what it does or what I do to use it.

  • Site Studio Contributor as a form

    I have a requirement where end users need to fill in a short form (1 x plain text field, 1 x WYSIWYG field) and submit it as an xml file to the content server. We cannot use the Site Studio Contributor in this scenario, but wanted to hook into the Site Studio services/methods/functions mainly for security i.e. cross site scripting etc.
    Does anyone know if documentation for services/functions to use? Any tips would be much appreciated.
