Six documents remains un-sync?

I'm helping a friend with his devices and iCloud syncs a lot of his documents perfect – but... then we have six documents that refuses to get synced! The process starts, but never ends… Any ideas of what has gone wrong?
All the documents can be seen from his iMac when we log in to iCloud, but in Pages on his iPad these six never gets updated. The documents are random, it's not like the six latest or something like that.

Hi,
Based on the description, your phone has always synced with the email server, but the account on the previous Outlook didn't. The problem is that the account on the new Outlook seems to sync with the server and the phone now.
Probably you setup the account as a POP3 account on the previous Outlook, so once the email was deleted from the server, Outlook couldn't download it. If Outlook had already downloaded an email, then you deleted it from the phone, it wouldn't be deleted
on Outlook, because it didn't sync via POP3.
It seems on the new Outlook the account has been setup via IMAP so it syncs everything; please setup the account via POP3 to check the result.

    Hi,
I have instaled UCM 11.1.1.4 and the situation is that documents remains in GenWWW status, the

Usually this issue is seen when the IBR's cannot keep up with the load and after a defined amount of time, the refineryjobs entries are cleared while the IBR's might still hold this content item.
If you do what Srinath proposes the refinery jobs is cleared as well as the queues on the IBR. This will not fix the issue with the documents in GenWWW, but it will make the way clear for (new) documents to be (Re-)submitted for conversion. IdcAnalyze should then be able to create a IdcCommand file with resubmit_for_conversion calls for all the documents in GenWWW state. Running this IdcCommand file should then convert all the documents that were "stuck" in GenWWW.

  • My iWork documents are not syncing?

My iWork documents are not syncing between my iPad, iPhone and iMac.  This seems to have happened since I upgraded to 10.8.2?  Any help?

Thanks, I knew that though and nothing was happening.
However, since I asked the question my documents have started to sync. No idea why, nothing has changed in my settings apart from a restart of all devices...but it's working so issue solved!

  • Can iCloud documents stay in sync in the background on iOS devices?

    Hi everyone.
I've been using iCloud document syncing for a few years and now I feel a little bit puzzled.
My DayOne app on iPhone & iPad only start downloading entries after I launch the app. Is it true that I have to open the app for iCloud documents to start syncing? Or is it supposed to sync in the background (periodically or pushed) and that I just do not get it work?
The same goes for my Readdle Documents app. Everything starts syncing when the app is open and active. Is that the way iCloud document should work?
(I am running iOS 7.1 on iPhone 5 & iPad 3, OS X 10.9.2 on MBA 2013; iCloud documents set to ACTIVE on all devices; background apps are all turned ON for both iPhone & iPad.)
    Thanks.

    Many thanks to @randers4
Just can't believe Apple do not sync docs in the background (still do not after 3 years)

  • Upgraded to IOS 8 and now documents are not syncing from mac to IOS devices

    Hello,
I upgraded to IOS 8 on iPhone 5 and iPad 2 and now documents are not syncing from the  mac to IOS devices.
How can restore document sharing  functions to the iCloud pre-IPOS 8?
    Thank you
    Don

Okay, so we're moving forward now.  no problem.   while waiting for a response I noticed that both NUMBERS and PAGES sync-ed to the iCloud on iphone5.   However, I am still waiting for the iPad to sync. post IOS8.   Should I go get a cup of coffee or is there a way to expedite the sync process?

  • Looking for a good document on family syncing with iCloud and multiple iOS devices

We have recently migrated off of Android devices for the whole family except for a Kindle Fire HD for my daughter.  We all have an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch type device that we want to sync our family calendars/reminders/notes to.  Is there a good document on how to setup this family environment so that our notes/reminders/appointments are all in sync on each other's device. That way we all know what each other is doing. Do we each have to have a separate Apple ID or do we all share the same Apple ID to make this syncing work.  I think I get how to make this work between my PC, 2 - iPhones (work and personal) and iCloud Web.  Now how do I layer on my other family members into my calendar digital Cloud?  HELP ME PLEASE.  I HAVE A DIGITAL MESS.
Right now I have a personal Apple ID for my personal devices, new iPhone 6 Plus coming.  I have a separate Apple ID for my Work iPhone 4s.  My wife and kids have iPhone 5s.  Wife and son have an iPad.
Please tell me I don't have to go see Rush Limbaugh to figure out how to make all this work.
    Thanks,
    Bob

You could each have separate iCloud accounts with separate IDs, and also share a "family" account for syncing a family calendar, notes and reminders.  That will allow you to maintain still keep your contacts, and other data and photo streams separated while having access to the shared the family data in the secondary account.  It also gives everyone their own free 5GB of storage for their backups, etc.  The shared family calendar, notes and reminders will appear alongside your other calendars, notes and reminders in the corresponding apps on your devices.  You'll just need to be sure to select the correct account within these apps when entering data to ensure it is added to either your personal or the shared family account.
To do this, create your primary accounts in the usual way, by going to Settings>iCloud and signing in with separate IDs and turn on the data sets you want to sync with iCloud.  Then create a secondary account by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud and signing in with a different ID and have everyone add this account to their devices as a shared family account.  You can sync mail, contacts, calendars, notes and reminders with the secondary account, although you may want to just turn on calendars, notes and reminders.
You can continue to share the same iTunes store ID on all devices if you wish.  It does not need to be the same as the ID you use for iCloud.  Also, each person should use their own ID (such as the primary iCloud ID) for iMessage and FaceTime, otherwise you'll end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.
If you don't want to do all of this, and are primarily concerned about sharing your calendars, you can do that as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mm6b1a8694.
Another option to consider is to look into the new Family Sharing feature of iOS 8 if all of your devices will support iOS 8: https://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/family-sharing/.  The details on this haven't been released yet but should start to appear after it is released tomorrow.

  • My documents are not syncing with iCloud.

Can anyone give me another solution to resetting my documents and data on icloud? I have not been able to sync any new docs created on my macbook pro for a couple weeks. I have tried resetting my data but they it tells me that there was a problem and could not reset. Now it has locked me out for 24 hours. Any help would be appreciated.

You might want to try signing out of your account, then back in.  Go to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, choose Delete at all of the prompts, restart your Mac, then go back and sign back in.  This deletes the account and iCloud data from your Mac, but not from iCloud.  Your data will reappear on your Mac when you sign back in.

  • Documents remain in "To be synchronized" state

    Hi All,
I have created an index and attached a data source to it. This datasource consists of 5 text documents.
When I re-index the datasource, all 5 documents always remain in "To be synchronized" state. Repeated re-indexing is also of no use.
I have flushed the queue a number of times, restarted the portal and trex instance and performed re-indexing. Yet, all these documents do not move from "To be synchronized" state at all.
I am not able to figure out where the problem is.
    Any suggestions on this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Pavithra

    Hi All,
We have found the solution. In the Queue parameters, the parameter "Initial Indexing Mode" was set to ON. On resetting it to Off, the documents were optimized and all of them are in OK state.
Hope this answer helps those who might face the same problem.
    Regards,
    Pavithra

  • Will photos, albums and photo stream remain after sync

I have created photo albums on iOs5 with selected pictures from photos I imported from my SD card while traveling. Will the photos, photo stream and albums remain intact on my iPad when I sync them to my iMac?

From various sources (doing a google search)
You are having a photo stream folder in your Album because you have enable Photo Stream in iCloud. By default, after you make a picture it will of course be save in your camera roll folder, then because photo stream is enable in iCloud which is also active on your iPhone, your pictures will be send to the iCloud server, and iCloud have the responsibility to share those pictures with all your iDevices which are sharing the same iCloud account with your iPhone, iCloud will find that your iPhone is sharing that iCloud and so will share those new pictures in the iCloud with your iPhone to including other iDevices which sharing your iCloud account. Thus you will see that those pictures already present in your camera roll are appearing in the Photo stream folder.
You will not be able to delete those pictures, it will auto delete from the iCloud after a period of time.
If you do not want to see the photo stream there anymore, then just turn off Photo stream in iCloud and it will go away.
Photo library is the collection of all photos in iPhoto and an album is what you can create to store some of the photos in a library, like a folder stores files.

  • ICloud Documents Not Deleting / Syncing

My iCloud Documents and Date information has been corrupted or something.
Basically, I open Pages or Keynote on my iPhone or iPad and with iCloud sync enabled it grabs 2 documents no longer stored in iCloud (at least visible through iCloud.com or the Lion System Preference). This wouldn't be as big of a problem except it shows the progress bar and nothing happens.
Upon trying to create new documents in either of these apps a small arrow icon appears in the corner but again no syncing actually occurs.
    I've tried:
    -reinstalling Pages and Keynote
    -restoring my iPad
    -deleting MobileDocuments folder in Lion
-deleting documents out of the preference pane
Nothing works. The data seems to be in limbo somewhere between my iOS devices and the server and now I can't sync any documents.
Apple needs to fix iCloud Documents. Everything else is working as advertised but the Documents / Data portion is awful.
And add sync to the Mac while they're at it...
    Please help if you can!

I'm having the same issue with IOS 5.01 iCloud documents. At first, everything worked fine and flawlessly between Pages, Numbers and Keynote on my ipad, iphone and macbook. I recently purchased an ipad2 and iphone 4s, along with a new Macbook air. I could no longer download items on icloud.com (on any computer). Pages documents were mysteriously disappearing and some documents would not load on my ipad. I also had the 'updating 21 documents' with a status bar that didn't move for 8 hours on my ipad. I tried everything: deleted apps, toggled iCloud on and off, logged in and out, restoring all devices, moving to a blazing fast 50MBPS internet connection, and even tried to launch a shoe at the closest cloud I could find outside. None of these efforts succeeded. The Genius Bar and express iCloud support were confused and told me  that my incident was isolated. I'm glad I came on here and saw this. Ironically; Contacts, Calendar and Find my phone work perfectly, no problems. Lastly, none of my apps are syncing properly with iCloud either; flighttracker, Soundhound, Djay and iBird. Weird. At one point all of this worked for about a week. Sadly, I ended my genius appointment with 'I think Apple is starting to become like Microsoft'. Sad day. I hope a fix is soon, if anything Apple should give those of us that purchased iphone/ipad iWork software a reimbursement. Its a lousy product and is pretty much useless until this issue is fixed.

  • Numbers documents do not sync between I pad and iPhone

Updated to io6 and latest numbers update. Documents can be changed an backed up independently to icloud on each device, but do not sync between devices.

The notes on the App Store indicate that Notability won't work with Mavericks and iOS 8 iCloud Drive. They recommend waiting until Yosemitie is released to upgrade to iCloud Drive.

  • Using iPad Pages,, I inserted emoji characters in a document and the characters appeared in the document when it synced to my iPhone, but they did not appear when synced to my iMac (Mountain Lion). Any ideas?

Using iPad Pages, I inserted emoji characters successfully in a document. They appeared when the document was synced to my iPhone but the characters did not appear when synced to my iMac (Mountain Lion). Only blank spaces where they should have been Why?

You'd need to have an Emoji font installed on your Computer. Do you?

  • Pages Documents Are not syncing

My iCloud won't sync on my desktop. Anything I write in Pages on my desktop does not also show up on my iPad. A document I wrote on my iPad isn't showing up on my desktop. When I go to the iCloud website, its all there; but I can't access the document I wrote on Pages on the desktop on my iPad. Likewise, I can't access the document I wrote on Pages on the iPad on Pages on the Desktop. This is very annoying and defeats the entire purpose of even having the program and these two devices.

Can you explain what you are experiencing, Capt Jager? Are your iWork documents syncing among iOS devices and not to/from your Mac(s)? That is expected behavior until Mountain Lion (OS X 10.8) comes out later this month (and you install it on your Mac(s)). Until then, you have to manually transfer them between the icloud.com website and your Mac(s).

  • My documents are not syncing between iPad2 and Mac Pro using iCloud

I just download Lion yesterday...iCloud is turned on to sync documents on my MacPro, my iPhone 4, and my iPad 2, all using the new iOS 5...however, documents are not showing.  I created a document on my iPad2 using Pages, and it does not show on my Mac.  I create a document on my Mac and it does not show on my iPad2.  What is wrong?

iwork on Lion does no document syncing. Regardless if you have set "document and data" in icloud preferences on a Mac. Not one single app uses this setting on OSX. Thus far document syncing is iOS5 devices only.
You must visit www.icloud.com from Mac to download your files .
After editing them you need to re-upload them manually also via the Browser to have them updated on your iOS devices.

  • Document lost on syncing - Help!

I have been using pages to take notes at a conference. The document was an open document in pages. I did my first ever sync with my PC and the document has disappeared from my iPad. There are now no documents showing. Where has the document gone? Can I get it back?

Welcomw Lazosh to the Pages forum! There are not many here using iPad. Maybe you should post in the _[iPad forum|http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=267]_ on this site?
If you had used Pages on a Mac (this probably goes for iPad too) you should first save the document on the Mac before synching over network or doing an export from Pages. You have to make sure you have the original if something goes wrong. Nearly always say yes if asked to save the document!
Could it be you have save the document with the default Untitled name? Maybe you have it somewhere. Otherwise you probably have lost it. Sorry!
