As to what it is, it's hard to say based on that description. After restarting (which I presume you have done by now), is your Mac working fine, or are you just getting a blue screen when you try to start up?

Hello,
I've been using Skype redularly for weeks and there have been no issues until today.
Just as I was receiving a call for a job interview, Skype froze and any attempts to close the program failed. My computer started to sieze up and was unusable. At times I couldn't even use the cursor.
This required a hard reboot but any other attempts to open Skype all ended the same. It froze the program and made my computer unusable to the point where I have to restart it by holding down the power button. I've made sure the drivers are up to date, I've reinstalled Skype to the latest version. It doesn't matter what I do now. It's the same result every. single. time.
To say that I'm furious would be an understatement. I would appreciate any help on the matter please. It was working perfectly last week.
I'm using Windows 7.

Please, run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit mode).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.

Sort of. There is an app called art shop that gives you a place to park clip art. But I don't think you really need it.
If you have a collection of clip art you want available, move it to the camera roll on your pad/ phone, then copy paste into your document the clip you want.
You can get them into the camaera roll by putting them in a single event in your picture library and syncing them over, or e mail them to your self, and save to the camera roll, or send them to drop box, and bring them down that way.
The challenge is getting them all in one place to make it easy for you to find, which is why syncing might be the best approach in the long run.
As near as I can tell there is not a ready made clip art collection in app format laying around.

It's a phishing attempt to get your account and payment details, it's not from Apple - if you clicked on the links in it and entered your details then you should change your password immediately e.g. by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store on your iPad and selecting 'view apple id' on the popup and signing into it, via the Store > View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes or via http://appleid.apple.com

I have 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo makbook. I upgraded to os x yersme. Now I am stuck and wondering why i did this as it made my computer very slow. stating time increased, some feature disappeared and I cannot save document In my hard drive using office. I do not want this any more. but the problem is i forgot my old software name. is any one know which would be that preinstalled software name. Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 separate drives.
Revert to a Previous OS X - Yosemite

If you do revert, I'd use Setup Assistant to restore your data. This process takes a while, so do it when you won't need the computer for several hours, based on my experience.

Skype freezes my computer

Skype keeps crashing on my laptop. I know its skype because it only happens when skype is on. As long as skype isn't running on my computer it can stay up for days. I only last a few hours if skype is open. 7.4.64.102 is my skype version. I don't think its an issues of version because I've had skype on this computer since December of last year. Help? Hi there.I am having a big problem with my skype, everytime I try to call someone or someone tries to call me the whole skype crashes and moments after that my whole computer crashes. This has been happening in more than I month and I hoped the latest skype update could fix this, but it didn't.I alredy tried to unnistall in multiple ways, including deleting everything about skype in my computer. I also tried to install previous versions of skype and the problem continued.I don't know if t will help but i put the dxdiag in the post anyway

Adobe's Flash player is already on my computer from IE 8. How can I get Firefox to see that it is already on my PC and use it so I don't have to download it again and possibly create other problems. Also, in my efforts to download Flash, Firefox activated IE which made me concerned that proceeding WOULD cause problems our just leave me where I am now where IE can use Flask but Firefox cannot.

Internet Explorer uses a ActiveX version of the Flash player plugin as it does not work with other browsers.
Download the Plugin-based browsers version from https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html and make sure Firefox is closed when you install it.

I had this same problem today. I have been battleing it for the past 5 hours, but it worked. You have to create a new account though.
What I did was go to iTunes and click Sign in, then made a new account.
But I didn't want to put in a Credit Card number, so what I did was
Open iTunes
Go to iTunes Store
Search a totaly free app. (I used Google Earth)
Click on the app from the list
Click the button under the icon that says "Free App"
Then it will ask you to sign in or make a new account, Select Make New Account
Follow All the steps on all the pages.
When you get to the page that you select your Credit Card, check "None"
Fill in the rest of the info and then click Complete
Verify your email
I hope this helped you. Strangely, you can only select "None" Under Credit Card if you do it this way. Must be some iTunes bug.

iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

First, I would recommend repairing the hard drive with Disk Utility.
If that doesn't fix the problem, there's a very dangerous command you can execute in the Terminal. This is very hazardous, because a simple typo can result in very drastic consequences. I have seen people erase their entire hard drive by putting a space in the wrong place! So, please follow the directions I'm going to give you very carefully!
Open the Terminal, which is found in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder. In the Terminal, enter the following:
sudo rm -f
Make sure to put a space after the "-f"! Then, drag the troublesome file from the Finder and drop it on the Terminal window. That should insert the path to the file in the command. Then go back to the Terminal and press return. You will be asked for your password, and when you type it, nothing will be shown as a security measure. Press return again after entering your password. The file should be deleted.

Edit > Preferences > Store check Music under Automatic Downloads.
Open the iTunes Store from left hand column, then select Purchasedfrom the column on the right, click the Not In My Library button and select the tunes you want to download again.
That said, you seem to be under a misapprehension as to how iTunes works, or at least how it has worked in the past. It has, until recently, been up to you take care of your purchases once they have been downloaded. You had a one-time download which you were reminded to back up. With the recent change to this policy you can at least download your store purchases again, but having a personal backup of your iTunes store purchases, stuff purchased elsewhere and files ripped from your CDs will still be preferable to gathering all the stuff together again in the event of a disaster.
