Hello,
Skype number is about to expire and I can't renew the subscription.
Skrill account is giving me headaches - It takes $1 from my account and then nothing happens.
What should I do?

I've been searching for a solution for literally hours.
The easiest solution is to just move your Skype number to another company.

I have just received an email saying my Skype number is about to expire, but there is money in the account. Why would they do that and will they refund the money still there? Could it be because I haven't used the Skype number for a while, and if I do use it in the meantime will the expiration be stopped?

Unable to renew Skype Number

When I log into Skype, it tells me my number is about to expire. When I click on "Settings" to renew it, it simply tells me I have insufficient Skype funds (I don't). All it will allow me to do is "Update" my payment settings, even though it actually won't (when I press "billing" nothing happens). When I go to the section of the site to download a number, it only aks me to purchase a new one. HALP.

On the day your Skype Number subscription expires, it will be automatically renewed for the same period of time for which you initially purchased it.
To change your Skype Number payment method:
Sign in to your account.
In the Manage features section, click Skype Number. You’ll see the next payment due date under your Skype Number.
Click Settings.
Here you can change your existing payment method.
You can change your payment method as long as the new method supports recurring payments, such as a credit card, PayPal or Skype Credit. This is not possible in countries where the payment cannot be made from your Skype Credit balance.
When you cancel your subscription and your Skype Number expires, you can reactivate it from your account within 90 days.

I would like to know how to renew my Skype number for one-year instead of three months? I initially paid for a full year, but the auto renewal only went for three months. I would like to take advantage of the larger discounts by renewing for a longer period.

Yes; you will have the same number -- as long as you reactivate your number within the 90 days following your Skype Number subscription's actual expiration date. While it appears to be a convoluted process, I can attest to the fact that it works.

Cannot renew Skype number service

I tried to renew my subscription to Skype number, but the system doesn't allow me to do so.
It says: " You Skype number subscription will be expired today as your payment was unsuccessful. Please chance your payment method to retain your services"
I am using Skype credits as my payment method. My last payment was 17.5GBP and I have 17.97GBP Skype credits on my account. Does anyone know how to renew the service?

When you state that live chat (is actually instant message) was not working, could you provide more detail of what did or did not occur? If you are unsuccessful in sending a message, to which you would receive a reply via e-mail, please post back indicating error messages and the browser(s) you used.
I agree with you; I would be alarmed as well. As a proactive measure, I would recommend changing account passwords.

Cancel skype number

Hi, I'm trying to cancel my skype number. It will expire next month and I don't want to be charged for another year as I don't use it anymore. I followed the steps to cancel until the page "Are you sure you want to cancel your number? and click Yes but I don't seem to have any confirmation message that it's been done. Has it been cancelled?

Hi, Sqrly, Skype is aware of existing website issues. Temporarily enabling scripts, pop-up dialog boxes, and disabling plug-ins which could prohibit pop-ups may help get past website problems. If you still experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented.
Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this will also block reaching an agent.
Last and not least, when you reach the last step of the process, remember to click on the "Start Chat" link when you are provided the choice of visiting the Community or starting an instant message chat with a customer service agent.

Skype says phone number is about to be cancelled

Warnd again phone number is about to be cancelled.
I updated credit card info to make sure there was no issue.
How in hell do I ensure phone number is not cance4lled this inetrface is the exact opposite of intuitive.

This is the actual message SKYPE sends:

Let me begin my fury by first telling you this message I got from my Skype desktop software.
The Skype Number +[Skype Number] will expire on 2014-10-07.
What do I need to do?
You can extend your number by signing into your account. There won't be any break between subscription periods – the new one will pick up right where the old one left off.
[When I pasted the message, a number appeared not present in the original message. but I deleted it because it might be "confidential." I saved it in an RTF document in case you need it.]

When I "signed into my account" there was no message that said I needed to "extend my number" NO WHERE AT ALL did it say "click here to extend the number." And I don't know why it wants me to "extend" the number each YEAR because I have an automatic payment subscription for every THREE MONTHS. I looked EVERYWHERE for supscriptions, and the only "subscriptions" were the "unlimited minutes", SEPARATE THREE MONTH AUTOMATIC PAYMENT SUBSCRIPTION from the Skype Number Automatic Payment Subscription. But there was no information about the Skype Number in the Subscriptions page.

Your topic title states that "Skype number subscription paid... says expired". Your account shows that this Subscription is current and will automatically renew on 05/1/15 unless canceled. Your Unlimited World Subscription is current and will also expire on 05/1/15. It will not renew automatically. Your Unlimited USA/Canada Subscription expired on 12/2/14 [that's why you see a "renew" message]. Your Skype Credit balance is current so you're in good shape to make calls. Sorry about the confusing statements on your account page. Hope this clarifies the situation.

My Skype number will expire, and it doesn't let me...

I got a notification that my Skype number will expire in 2 days because my credit card has expired, and that no further charges will occur. I updated my credit card information and then looked for a place to renew it. In my account where it shows me my phone number there is a "settings" button, but when I click on it, it just refreshes the page. There is another button to "Get another Skpe Number" but that only lets me get a new number. I want to renew my current number subscription because I don't want to lose that number, but there is no place to renew it, unless the "settings" button is the place, but that doesn't work. I thought it might be a browser or network issue, so I tried from FireFox and Chrome from two different networks and the button still just refreshes. So, I looked for a support email to email for support and don't see one.
Can any one help in directing me where I can renew my skype number before it expires?

Expired skype number

I have been automatically billed for skype services ... and i still have a positive skype credit balance ... but i have been notified that my skype number has expired ... what is up with that? WHY did that happen? Does that mean that i cant make calls? Or that i can't be contacted via my skype number? How do i remove automatic billing for skype?

Reactivate expired Skype Number

My Skype number apparently expired because I received a new credit card and did not update the billing info with Skype. I want to reactivate and keep the old number for obvious reasons but I'm not seeing the option to do this--how can I do this?
