Slider is not working in workspace

Hi,
When I am opening up the dashboard in workspace, it is not showing the slider.
Please let me know if any setting needs to be enabled.

As per my knowledge, html mode in workspace doesnot support sliders, so you will not be able to see sliders in workspace which is known issue.

My Zen Micro slider button is not working, has anyone ever experienced this problem or know if the issue can be solved without buying a new unit's Everything works fine as far as functionality (sounds like I am lucky on this part so far) but I cannot even clean up, format or reboot since the slider does not work. In order to turn the player on I have to plug it into my computer or to an outlet and it will come on and I can listen to it. To shut it down I have to wait until it idles to shut down or pull the battery out.
If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate the response. The next thing I will be doing is looking for a way to disassemble to try to solve it myself.

TS2634 My Ipod Touch has a cracked screen at the top. The unlock slider does not work. I have loaded the latest software onto the Ipod and iTunes but still the slider will not operate. Is the cracked screen the problem?

To get pass the passcode lockscreen, recovery mode and restoring should help: iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
If the issue continues after updating and restoring your device, refer to this document.

Web Analysis functions not working in Workspace

I am looking for a list of Web Analysis functions that are available in the Java client that will not work in the Workspace DHTML client (Version 9.3.1.0). Any guidance would be appreciated.

There are 4 types of differences:
- font differences, Workspace (DHTML) uses the WA Server fonts whereas WA Studio client machine fonts.
- Service Buttons are very restricted using Workspace
- Display: Tab selection, Splitter panels, Slider selection do not render in Workspace
- Cannot restrict WA Tools menu in Workspace at all, where you can in the Studio.

Iphone 6 plus slide bar not working

My iphone 6 plus slide bar would not work. I couldn't turn phone off, couldn't do anything except use Siri. Used Siri to face time a friend to ask for help but for some reason once she answered my phone unlocked. Have no idea why. Hope this helps someone.

So, that makes my iPhone 6 Plus, my girls iPhone 6 and my fathers iPhone 5S not flashing LED on messages and sometimes calls. There aren't any custom vibrations enabled on any if the devices. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it a known bug or am I just not doing something right here? i never had an issue before the iOS 8 release. Any help would be appreciated.

Slide Hyperlinks not working during a Build In?

Hi all,
I'm working on a Keynote presenation set up as a mulitple choice quiz. Below is the idea for how each question is set up.
Question Slide
Incorrect answers links to 'Next Slide' - Ex. Slide 7 ('Incorrect' Slide)
Correct answer links to 'Applicable Slide #' - Ex. Slide 8 ('Correct' Slide)
'Incorrect' Slide
Everything on the slide links to 'Previous Slide' to take the user back to the question to try again.
^ This is where I'm having an issue that I'm not sure is solvable.
I've got the 'Flame' Build In on the word 'Incorrect', which seems to negate the links put on that slide if the user taps/clicks while the Build In is in effect.
For example:
It runs correctly when -
On the Question Slide I click the incorrect answer - Keynote jumps to 'Incorrect' Slide
On the 'Incorrect' Slide I click AFTER the Flames Build In on the word Incorrect is complete - Keynote jumps to the linked Previous Slide (Question Slide). User can now attempt the quetion again.
It runs incorrectly when -
On the Question Slide I click the incorrect answer - Keynote jumps to 'Incorrect' Slide
On the 'Incorrect' Slide I click WHILE the Flames Build In on the word Incorrect is happening - Keynote jumps FORWARD to the 'Correct' Slide (NOT linking to the linked Previous Slide).
User is forced to move forward to next question.
So essentially the following happens: Pick incorrect answer> 'Incorrect' Slide appears w/ Flames Build In> Quickly click during flames Build In> 'Correct' Slide appears
Anyone know if this is just due to the Build In occurring and the slide not registering as having a link to Previous until it's completed? Or something along those lines?

Links do not work when a transition, action or build effect is in progress, there is no work around.

HT201401 the slider will not work for iphone 3gs

i have done reset, update to current Firmware, ios, nothing seems to work.

If nothing seems to work, there is a hardware problem.

well planning is alright then
If you try http://<yourserver>:19000/HyperionPlanning/
(that is if you are using apache web server plugin)
or
http://<yourserver>/HyperionPlanning/
(if you are using the iis web server plugin)
If it works then the web server plugins are working, so it will relate to an issue with the workspace install.

Export Quicktime with Audio - timings to advance slides -does not work

Mac OS 10.6.1
iMac 27" 4 GB 1067 MHZ
Keynote 09 - 5.03
I opened a .ppt
I added an windows media file after getting it into GarageBand - so a GarageBand file actually
I timed the slides - this does not work either as a side remark - you can not just enter seconds there - they disappear - you need to use the arrows
If I test the slideshow, it runs nice in Keynote.
If I export it to Quicktime, the sound works, the slides do not advance.
(I think I had it once working before I moved my files to my new Mac)

I'm just posting this as a general discovery....
I too have had many many frustrations with creating a slide show with audio clips linked to individual slides and a soundtrack music background. Of course this records fine and plays back fine in KN. The problem lies in any form of sharing/exporting. The audio either disappears or the timing goes nutty.
What I discovered was....During a manual recording in which I advance the slides and the builds within the slides, the tap of the space bar directly correlates to when the audio would stop in the exported version. ie. Slide one, audio set to start automatically after transistion, text has no builds, Slide 2, audio set to start automatically, text builds with each bullet. In the exported version the second I hit the space bar to create the first build during the recording, is where the audio is cut off in the exported version.
Therefore, if I go through each and every slide and set the timing for each and every build, transition, etc. , then record the slideshow so that I never have to hit the space bar to create builds (transitions to next slide seems to be fine) my exported recording seems to play back without problems. This is very tedious but seems to work (so far).
I hope I have explained my findings clearly. I also hope that this is somewhat helpful to the rest of the world

Finder: Zoom slider is not working

Hi Friends.
If I open a new finder window, the zoom slider is working in the symbol view. But if I change to the column view (Apple-3) and back to symbol view, I can slide the zoom slider how I want, the zoom is not working.
Unfortunately it happens not always, but most of the times.
Any ideas?

I can replicate the same problem; hadn't noticed that before, since I almost never use Column view.
I did find that if I go from Column view to List view and then to Icon view, or even switch from a misbehaving Icon view to List view and back again, the problem has gone away.
By the way, that's not a zoom slider - if you look carefully while you slide it, the text of the filenames does not change size, which it would do if it were truly a zoom function. It is, instead, an icon size control function.
I will file a report on this.

Captivate 7 multi-slide video not working on Android

still needing help with this one from my previous question "Captivate 7 event video playback controls not working."
The question has now narrowed down to:
How can I make a multi-slide mp4 video in HTML5 format work on Androids? It works fine on iPad and computer, but Androids will not playback the video, only the audio.

Not all Android versions or Android browsers support MP4.
I suggest you take a look at this page to see which versions do or don't.

If your Android version or browser doesn't support MP4, there's not a lot you can do other than upgrade.

Captivate 5. Jump to slide button not working

I'm using Captivate 5.0.2.630 and I have issues with Jump To buttons as well. My layout is as follows:
Main Menu (with jump buttons to each section prior to the Quiz Question)
Section 1 - Demo slides
Section 1 - Simulation Slides
Section 2 - Demo Slides
Section 2 - Simulation Slides
Section 3 - Demo slides
Section 3 - Simulation Slides
Section 4 - Demo Slides

For whatever reason, the "Jump To" button set to jump to Section 4 from the Main Menu will not work. All it does it "Continue". And, please don't tell me I need to change the entire module's quiz settings to Optional. We want the actual Quiz Slides to be required. It's just the rest of the module that the user should be able to jump back and forth freely.

Dv7t-3300 volume control slider bar not working

I have a dv7t-3300 and all of a sudden the volume control slider has stopped working. It's stuck displaying mute although the computer itself does have sound. I tried performing a cold reset as some people on line have suggested to no avail. Is there any possible resetting that can fix it?

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that your volume button is stuck and will not slide. I will try my best to help you with this issue. I suggest Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset on the Notebook. I also suggest Downloading or Updating Software and Drivers for HP Computers.

Jump to slide does not work

Hi,
I am working on a captivate project, we have more than two buttons on almost every slide that are triggered to "jump to slide". I tried keeping elearning output as SCORM 1.2 while publishing, to no avail.
I also tried to link two projects using "open another project" and "Open URL or file" but even that does not solve the issue.
Please advise.

Hi again.
I am using a licensed version of Captivate 6.
I had published the project in HTML5 before testing.
Since the 'jump to slide' action was not working, I tried replacing it with 'open another project' and then 'open URL or file', none of which worked as well.
I also observed that when we insert two buttons/click boxes/hyperlinks, having triggered as 'jump to slide', they work fine but as soon as the number increases the problem begins. Strange but true!

Web Analysis Report Not Working in Workspace

Hi all, I try to restate an already posted problem to see if some of you have encountered the same problem, that seems to me a BIG one:
- all the report developed in Web Analysis Studio, which connects to Essbase 9.3.1, doesn't work in workspace, if the Database Connection Property is configured for using the user credentials specified in workspace logon.
If I change the DB to an Essbase 7, it DOES work.
If I change the Database Connection Properties to specify in the preference file the username and password (or to ask the user the credential on report opening) it DOES work.
Any Hint?

Hi Giovanni Migotto,
Do you import all the reports from webanalysis and delete the database connections to the reports and export it into Workspace, by the time of exporting it will asks you the database connection and the application name.
provide those and try to run again those reports hope will work fine.
