Slideshow compatible with FC CS5 website

I've built a website using FC CS5, (by the way, what a dream for a graphic designer with no coding skills!). I want to add a slideshow gallery to the site, but would prefer not to build one from scratch. I've learned that XML slideshows don't work with FC. Any suggestions? I'll pay for it if I have to. I just don't want to create it from nothing.
Currently, I'm running a FC swf inside of a FC project. It works, but it worries me. It loads slow and I also need more than 20 frames. Please help!

I used Wondershare's Flash Gallery to create a video slideshow of stained glass that I then wanted to import into Flash Catalyst...similar to the Marcus Glass Portfolio project used in Adobe's tut. Various options are given for output/published file format, so I first published as a .swf file. This file plays wonderfully using Adobe Flash Player 10 but won't import into FC. I went back & republished another way Wondershare suggested & ended up with
2 files: 1 is .swf & the other is .html. This swf plays in Flash Player 10 & the .html plays fine in the browser, so 1) would I have to use these 2 files in Dreamweaver somehow or do I have to convert the 1st .swf into flv to use in FC? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

If the site has been optimised for IE (which is non-standards compliant), the best you can try is to spoof IE from Safari.
I'm using an earlier version of Safari than you, so I hope Allan or someone will correct me if the procedure is different.
First, go to Safari Preferences and enable the developer menu;
Then go to the menu and select User Agent - choose a flavour of IE.
Works about 50% of the time.
It won't work if the site is using Activex controls.

Existing Actions and Plugins Compatible with Photoshop CS5?

I have actions and plug-in products, and while I've done everything I can to make them future-proof, I'm wondering if any Photoshop CS5 beta testers can speak to whether existing actions and plugins are generally compatible with Photoshop CS5?
Specifically:
Are existing 32 bit Windows (PC) plugins proving to be compatible with Photoshop CS5?
Are existing 64 bit Windows (PC) plugins proving to be compatible with Photoshop CS5?
Are existing actions (both platforms) proving to be compatible with Photoshop CS5?
I'm anxiously awaiting the go-ahead to download my copy to verify everything, but I'm just trying to get a feel for whether I'll have work to do. I'm hoping for the level of compatibility seen in CS3 and CS4 - all my software worked perfectly with no changes.

I appreciate you all taking the time to answer, but none of you has actually said what DOES happen with your existing actions / plugins and CS5 beta.
I know that experience with one set of actions and plugins doesn't guarantee operation with another, but if, for example, someone actually stated, "all my old plugins failed to work with CS5" or "they all seemed to work okay" then I'd have a better idea of what to expect.
Please keep in mind I've been developing commercial actions since PS6 and plugins since CS2, and all my software works on all 32 bit versions and 64 bit CS4 on Vista x64 and Windows 7 x64, so I'm intimately familiar with what might happen and what should happen. Plus I've programmed them to be quite resilient, and I don't expect any of the CS5 feature changes to break them. What I don't know is whether Adobe has fundamentally altered the plugin interface this time around, or has deprecated any old filters, causing a plugin or action that used to work to fail now. The word "rewrite" has been used to describe CS5, and that has me wondering.
In short, I'm really looking for actual experience with the CS5 beta here.
Wish I could get the CS5 SDK already. I don't understdand why Adobe doesn't release that in advance.

I had Firefox 4 installed and working until to day when I had problems login to my bank website. After contact with bank support I was recomended to change version to 3.6 on Firefox. I did so but the problem concisted and after a new support contact the problem was solved but I now was told that version 4 was ok to use (but not version 5 yet). I have now tried to find version 4 on Mozilla Firefox website but without succeding. How can I find and download Firefox 4?

Is ACR7 compatible with Photoshop CS5?

I've installed the beta of Photoshop CS6 and it includes ACR7, which -- as expected -- has adjustments and sliders like those in Lightroom 4. But my version of Photoshop CS5 still is using ACR 6.7rc.
First issue: how can I get CS5 to use ACR7?
Second issue: now that CS6 is installed, there doesn't seem to be a way for me to directly transfer a DNG file from Lightroom 4 to CS5 for processing (with any version of ACR). As I'm testing a beta (CS6), I want some way of returning to my previous state of affairs (Lightroom 4 and CS5, but preferably with ACR7) without going through too many hoops.

A slight twist on the question of what matches up with which:
I want to explore some of the sample raw images that are appearing from the Nikon D4 and D800.
I'd rather not install the RC on my production computer, which is where I have CS5.5 installed.
But the version of Camera Raw that comes with the Ps CS6 beta, which I've installed on a test computer, doesn't seem to understand the D4 and D800 files.
Is there an easy (or even moderately complicated) solution that would let me add the new-camera capabilities to the Ps CS6 beta?

InDesign CS6 not compatible with InCopy CS5?

Hi,
We've recently upgraded our designer to have the latest edition of the creative suite (CS6), but we've left our editors with their versions of InCopy CS5.... and we've run into a problem.
We get an error message when the editor is trying to open an InDesign layout file in InCopy so they can edit the assignments. DOes anyone know if there is a way to fix the issue without upgrading all of our InCOpy licences to CS6?

Just wanted to make sure that InCopy CS6 and InDesign CS5.5 were playing nice with each other before making the purchase.

I would test it very thoroughly by downloading the trial versions. I would imagine text flow will be a bit different and packaging certainly won’t work.
BTW, what does recently mean? Any purchase of 5.5 after March 26 would entitle you to a free upgrade to CS6.

Not really a question- just fyi the 4.0 version is no longer compatible with Indexhibit (a website template program).

I can no longer up load images into the backend of my site that I built with Indexhibit. The previous version worked. I'm able to get it done with Chrome but would like to keep everything in Firefox if possible.

I have in my company CS5 Suite and we are planning to upgrade only Flash Builder from 4 to 4.5. Would it be still compatible with other CS5 tools, e.g. with Flash Profetional 5?

Compatibility of Camera Raw with Photoshop CS5

Just bought a new camera (Canon T3i). Took a scandisk full of pics in "Camera Raw". Tried to open in Photoshop and got messsage that "Camera Raw" from my camera is not compatible with Photoshop CS5. What can I do??

Download the most recent version of ACR which for CS5 is ACR 6.7. (which if you had mentioned your system I could have pointed you to the download). You'll just have to find it yourself in the Adobe Updates.

Is the Aperture software compatible with Lion & iDVD

Is Aperture creating either a movie or slideshow compatible with Lion and then iDVD to burn a DVD using iDVD? As it stands now, with Lion, I cannot burn any DVD using iDVD and iMovie, iPhoto or Aperture.. Does this mean iDVD is broken under Lion and those applications ? If so what new $ software should one buy that is compatible with those Apple Applications to burn those applications to a DVD's ? The iDVD lead in's were really nice..

I'm surprised to hear that iDVD cannot burn a DVD on your system. Have you looked into it at all? Have you tried resetting the PRAM and PMU?

that surprised me as well! The error message I got was "Your Macintosh does not have a supported SuperDrive". It happens only on my MBP 17" 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 since OS 10.7.3; I tried some hardware trouble shooting, hardware test, resetting the PRAM and PMU, but then ignored it, because I had no need to use iDVD and still can run iDVD on my SL MBP or the Lion iMac.
Right now I cannot do anything about it, because I have installed a Developer Beta Version of MacOS on that MBP; so I cannot do any further Lion Tests on that machine at the moment, or discuss system related issues concerning that machine in a public forum

I am considering upgrading to LR4, but I'm wondering if it is compatible with PS CS5.

As long as you convert from raw in LR and do post-processing in PS, then yes. I've used LR 4 with PS Elements 3 that way. CS 5 can't open the version of Camera Raw that LR 4 uses so it can't open the processed raw files for further raw processing, but that's not particularly useful anyway since you can just let LR do the processing.

Is HTML5 Pack compatible with Adobe Illustrator v 15.1.0?

I just got the latest CS5.5 Web Premium.
It has Adobe Illustrator version 15.1.0 (not 15.0.1)
I need to create multiple art boards and export each as SVG.
I have Win7/64bit.
Considering all the install issues other users are suffering, and I am having a good share already, is it safe to install the HTML5 pack?
Is it even necessary?
Bonus Question:
How do I export each artboard as SVG?
The only video I found said to choose export > Save as type: SVG and select [x] Use Artboards.
But there is no option for Save as type: SVG
In case it could have been changed in my version I looked into Save As > Save as type: SVG
But the checkbox for "Use Artboards" is disabled.
I hope installing the HTML5 pack will enable these options but my level of confidence is faltering.

The latest version of the HTML5 Pack for Illustrator (preview 2) is indeed compatible with Illustrator CS5.1.
As for exporting individual SVG files for each artboard in your file, it's pretty simple:
1. Choose File > Save As and choose SVG as the File Format.
2. Check the box marked "Use Artboards"
3. Specify which artboards you want to export (or export them all).
4. Click Save.
Illustrator can generate an HTML Preview file so that you can preview all of the separate SVG files (a popup will let you choose). A single CSS file is also generated.
