I am assuming that this is related to my slow computer after waking from sleep. Every click has delayed reaction up to spinning beach ball in length. Went to console log and see this same message repeating over and over and over. What does it mean? How do I fix it? Is it related to the slowdown?
Thanks
Ok... Sometimes Mail will abort the restart that I am trying to do to get the system back to normal speed so I was wondering about that "plug-in" which appears to be more than a plug in. It put a bundle in my Library/Mail folder that can't be deleted...
Here is my log now which starts showing errors as soon as I reboot... I am backing up now. It seems that there should be something that I could remove without a clean install, but I can't figure it out from this....Thanks for the insight...

Slow computer after logicboard replacement/ any way to retrieve 18 month old receipts
I purchased a Macbook Pro in August of 2008 and have been generally pleased with it. About a month ago it stopped turning on so I brought it in to the Apple store. They claimed that the video card was fried and that they would need to replace the entire logic board. The computer has been out of warranty for a little while now so I was seriously debating shelling out the $330 to replace the logic board. The genius guy assured me that it would run like new once it was replaced so I went ahead and did it. When I got it back, I soon noticed that everything was running slower. Over the last month, the computer has gotten so slow its almost unusable, so I started snooping into the computer a little bit. I noticed that I had 2 gb of memory. I think I originally installed 4 gb of memory but I cant be sure. I checked for the receipt but its nowhere to be found. Not too surprising considering how long its been sicne I originally bought the computer. I looked up the standard specs on everymac.com and found that 2 gb was the baseline. I am pretty sure Ive upgraded the memory on every computer I've ever gotten which further deepens my suspicion. Now, I dont know for sure if I actually had 4 gb of memory and I dont want to start ranting and raving at the apple store about how the evil repairmen stole 2 gb of memory from me if I am not sure. Does anyone know of a way to check what was originally in my computer? If it turns out im simply forgetful, does anyone have any ideas about the slow computer following logicboard replacement? A quick google search let me know that I am not the only one with this problem but didnt turn up much in the way of help. Thanks so much.

My early 2006 iMac takes a long time to reconnect to my wireless network after sleeping. It finds the network no problem just takes up to a minute to "wake up" and find and join the network. Is there any way to speed up this process? My Macbook connects about ten times faster after coming out of sleep so it has to be something with the iMac and not the network.
Thanks for any help.

Slow/Freeze after sleep and can't reboot?
I have a 24" iMac 3.06Mz with 4GB Ram. I'm currently running into some strange freezing issues with my imac where if the computer goes to sleep and I bring it back up, it will freeze/run REALLY slow (although not all the time, it has to be sleeping for a significant amount of time for this to happen). The big problem I'm having is that after this occurs, I have problems rebooting. As I reboot, it takes longer and longer to completely boot up (and when it does, it runs so slow it is unusable). It won't even boot into safe mode. I'm able to boot to the console (and windows XP) and both of those run fairly smoothly. I was going to try a wipe and reinstall but I have some applications I don't have backup copies of on the disk and attempting to create a disk image of the install is throwing I/O errors. If I let the computer sit for about an hour or so then it will reboot just fine. I tried resetting the PRAM and repairing the disk/permissions to no avail. There is nothing in the system.log to indicate a problem when the freeze occurs. I started noticing the issues on 10.6.3 (and am on 10.6.5 now) when the computer froze up playing starcraft. After that, it has happened to me only after wakes from sleep.

Apple track pad very slow connecting after sleep
I have a late 2009 iMac (11,1) running10.10.1. It is very slow (5 to 35 seconds) connecting to my Apple trackpad whether I am logged in when I put the iMac to sleep or whether no one is logged in. I have run EtreCheck and am including the output. I would appreciate anyone offering advice on what to do to get my trackpad to connect quickly.
Thanks,
Hugh McCutchen, Jr.

Change your router channel number. Most times this works & is all you have to do.
Disconnect & reconnect your modem. unplug it for about 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Do the same for Apple’s routers. Wait for everything to reboot.
System Preferences>Network
Click the Assist Me button.
In the next window that pops up, click the Diagnostic button & do the necessary.

I5 iMac slow internet after sleep
When waking from sleep my iMac has incredibly slow internet until I reboot it. Is this a known issue? If so, how do I fix it?
Hello,
See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH7029
Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free Disk space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?
Any external drives connected?
Have Console in Applications>Utilities open & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens. -
Slow Computer after OS X Yosemite Download
Ever since the installing of OS X Yosemite into my 13-inch, Early 2011 MacBook Pro (Processor: 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 / Memory: 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 / Storage Capacity: 319.21 GB) performing basic operations (such as browsing the web, opening an application, typing something) make my computer slow down and freeze while the notorious colorful beach ball spins for about 30 seconds. It happens more than 50 times a day and it has not happened to me before the install.
When you get the beachball, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Scroll back to the time you noted above.
Select the messages entered from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat, whichever comes first.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of it useless for solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. -
Slow computer after update to 10.7.4.
After updating to 10.7.4., my MacBook Air (2,13 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB 1067Mhz) my became very sluggish. Logging in lasts 5 minutes, all programmes are very slow, internet is slower, even typing is something difficult. Do you have any suggestions to remedy this situation ?
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the page that opens.
Step 1
Select "system.log" from the file list. Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Post the messages logged during the time something abnormal was happening. That time might be before or after the boot.
For example, if the problem is a slow startup taking three minutes, post the messages timestamped within three minutes after the boot time, not before. If the problem is a system crash or freeze, post the messages from before the boot time, when the system was about to crash or was failing to shut down. In either case, please include the BOOT_TIME message at the beginning or the end of the log extract.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
If the log doesn't go back far enough in time, scroll down in the Console file list to /private/var/log/system.log.0.bz2. Search that archived log, and if necessary the older ones below it, for the same information.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.
Step 2
Do the same with kernel.log.
Step 3
Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful. -

T440p wifi slow reconnect after sleep
Hi,
I have a T440p with the intel 7260AC wifi card. I recently upgraded my HDD to an SSD and did a clean windows 7 install. Now, when waking up from sleep, it alwas takes about a min before it reconnects to a wifi network. The reconnect used to be instantaneously.
I turned off the setting in power management of the Intel 7260AC to "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". But this didn't solve the problem. I also have the latest intel wifi 7260AC drivers 17.0.2.5.
Anybody knows what could be causing this?Did you also install Access Connections?

Wireless slow reconnect after sleep.
After my laptop wakes from sleep it takes about 30 seconds for it to reconnect to my wireless network. Windows does this almost instantly. Is there any way I can get this to happen instantly?
Could be a timeout setting (I assume you're using NetworkManager). I have the same issue, but usually take the 15-30 seconds to think about what I'm going to accomplish next

Slow computer after Mavericks upgrade
A while ago I had to update my Mac to OS X Mavericks (Version 10.9.5), but I experience that this has made my computer slow. It is slow when starting, when I use the internet, when I search files on the computer etc. Not incredibly slow, just annoyingly slow.
I had to do the upgrade to Mavericks to be able to run a program I use frequently.
I have a lot of free storage: 526 Gb free (out of 749 Gb).
Now I wonder if there is anything I can do to make the computer faster? Should I upgrade to Yosemite - or should I definitely not do that?
I'd appreciate very much if there is any good advice out there.
My computer is a MackBook Pro (15-inch) from mid 2012.
2,6 GHz Intel Core i7 processor
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

Choose the method for:

IF this doesn't help,
Run Etrecheck and post the report here please.

Freezing computer after sleeping
I have the msi k7n2-G motherboard and I have freshly installed the drivers on a reformatted hard drive. However once my computer goes to sleep, it quits responding. I will move the mouse and press keyboard buttons but it will not wake up. Therefore I have to reset my computer every time it does this. I also installed the latest nforce and detonator drivers and I am still having the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
